XMR going hyperdimensional. Walonek´s shorts smoking red. Where do you see this local top? Most taking a quick breather, but Binance over .0244 already!

Monero is still a really good currency and the updates to make it private will make me invest in it more.
I have sigs turned off, so I can't see, but assume this is another farmer. This shit is getting out of control on this forum. 2 and 3 posts per minute, continuously. W.T.F.

OK, I'm not a crypto noob but I'm new to monero. This jinky wallet is pissing me off (slow, crashes, freezes) and bittrex won't even let me send funds over. Where do I find info on a full, clean uninstall to start over?
https://downloads.getmonero.org/cli/linux64 Has always been smooth as silk for me. Building and scanning the database though can be unusually computationally intensive compared to other crypto-currencies. Is your system a bit on the older side? As far as a fresh install. On linux it stores application data in ~/.bitmonero. On windows I would venture a guess that its in C:\Users\userName\AppData\Roaming or C:\Users\userName\AppData\Local. Probably Roaming but I have never used the windows client myself so I can't be sure. Other than that just delete the directory where you unpacked the binaries or use the add remove programs utility in windows. FWIW windows GUI on a slow machine has always been slow and freezing/crashing for me. It gets the job done eventually though. Upgrading to a faster machine and linux is a good fix.

Actually he looks fabulous now and I actually kind of envy him. But I am still appalled that the value of BCH+BTG (future)+S2X (future) alone already cover HALF of creditor's claim. So technically he could just give the creditors those forkcoins, but still keep 90% of BTC and made off like a bandit. I wouldn't want to be him if he end up with like 180K BTC in the end.Wouldn't be surprised if he ends up forked into a dead-end chain. I believe several people are, and will still be, miffed, no matter the legal outcome. All of them gamblers, most of them now flush with pseudonymous wealth.

Wow, is mymonero not safe? How did people end up losing it? That makes me real worried now, dang
The issue isn't with MyMonero itself. The service never sees your private key and thus can't steal your coins. The danger is if you misspell the domain you might end up on a scam site that looks like the real one, only it steals your key and empties your wallet. Also, if you log into MyMonero from a malware infected computer your private key could be logged as well. Basically, typing your private key onto an internet-connected machine will always carry risks. This and or accessing anything for a phone. Ill also add never ever use a free wireless. Or even avoid wireless that's not secure. The thing is you never know if its the real wifi or a person with a laptop impersonating the wifi. So you join, log into banking and boom they can capture your session and carry it on when you log out. Hotels etc. its all the same the wifi name hotel guest wifi might well be just some guy snooping for suckers. There's a crazy motherfucker out there saying that NO WIFI is safe... Why crazy? He sounds quite lucid and sane to me. Sorry, should have added: https://www.goodreads.com/author/quotes/12425.Robert_Kirkman I guess it's been a while since that quote was aired in this thread.

There was a link someone posted recently that was a cashing out bitcoin plan generator.
You entered your total, how much you wanted to end with, hoe much you wanted to sell etc and it gave you a target.
Anyone have a link?
Another one to play with. http://xzist.org/amazing-bitcoin-retirement-fund-calculator/

I doubt the amount because guys like TheKoziTwo were involved earlier than Risto. He created the first Monero exchange and was in a much better position to acquire a such a large amount, but IIRC he indicated he had less than half of that. Buying 700k coins during that time on the open market doesn't seem possible without a massive price run (which never really happened. USD high post Mintpal pump was like $3). And I doubt he was making any significant OTC purchases either. The community wasn't that big at the time.
EDIT: back to speculation. If XMR breaks $110 this week we will be on target to $425 by December.
I'm curious how you arrive at that figure. Has it really been pulled from somewhere the sun don't shine or is there a rational basis for it? It's a very rough assumption based on past market runs. Monero went from about $3 to $15 last year (5x increase), from about $12 (March 10th) to a high of $60 earlier this year (5x increase), then from $30 on July 16th to $150 (5x increase). So if our last strong support was at $85 then I'm predicting our next 5x run will bring us to $425, which should happen no later than December 15th (45 day interval). EDIT: Also, the Nov. 1st 2016 run from $4 to $18.5 almost fits the pattern. According to that data, we should hit several thousand dollars next year. Along with $20K BTC, it wouldn't be shocking. Shit's gonna get interesting, that's for sure.

Well who the hell has so many moneros that they are willing to loan them out for tiny fractions of a percent on the exchanges? I mean what is the point...to acquire even more on the cheap?
Somebody with a pile of coins for rent cheap died a couple years ago, and those coins just keep lending, and lending, and lending... Or Lots of rope is left out, the better to hang shorters when the time comes. It has always been thus with monero. > 0.01 % rates happen, but rarely. add: 33K coins available (not all cheap). Wasn't long ago that anything under 150k was a low float. Coins under 0.01% only ~1100 XMR

Today was the day to renew my VPN subscription. I used to pay for it with bitcoin but I dont have any bitcoin any more. So I was weighing to use a credit card or go through the hassle of converting some XMR on an exchange just to pay 60 bucks when low and behold I see Monero is accepted! I expected that I could go searching for a vpn that accepts monero and find it but I didn't expect to go and look at the one that I'm already using and see it as an accepted payment method.
Anyway AIRVpn is highly recommended by me. Ill edit back later on how smoothly the Monero transaction goes. Excited to make my first real purchase.
Failing that, XMR.to is convenient for paying BTC.

Which rights do your tokens provide its holders with?
The right to transact privately, as you choose. Did you require more? Trolls getting thick on the ground again... building pressure...

That could be a good poll question: What kind of car are you going to get:
Schwinn Trabant Yugo Toyota Prius Leaf Lexus Classic Porsche Tesla New Porsche Ferrari Lambo McLarin Yugo
Myself I'm debating a Maybach. Had a friend who invested some of his dot.com winnings in a Maybach. Later when he was homeless he lived in the thing and STILL lived better than I.
Earth Roamer.

$6545 - I can’t believe it, it only feels like yesterday I was ecstatic when we breached $1000 for the 1st time again after Gox’s false ATH (Willybot induced).
I remember doing a victory dance in front of my Mrs (with clothes on) when we hit 1000. I think after 2k I went numb and desensitised to the price. It doesn't seem real it's that crazy. Soon we will be talking 10s of thousands. If you don't just speculate and look into what we have actually got into so early you'll agree. Wait until everyone else realises. Bolded bit - It’s how I’ve become, it just doesn’t seem real any more. Every time we go up another $1000 my ‘target price’ to realise life dreams change if you get what I mean. Whatever you're thinking... Think BTCigger.

A record 9 straight weekly red candles. Impressive. #10 begins green, like all healthy new shoots. Of course, so did #9. What's the probability of maintaining the going green?
