Good day, how you like the idea - to convert this coin, due to low demand, such as the DGB or XMR or any other coin that has a good demand.

Convert this coin?
2582  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Digital Credits | Official Burn Thread | Updates, Discussion and Suggestions! on: November 29, 2015, 04:15:07 PM
Sorry guys, I had an unexpected guest for Thanks Giving this year and large amounts of alcohol were consumed. I'm back now, gonna brew up some coffee and get my day started. Block Explorers for the two burn targets will be finished today, nodes are allready up, so more details will come by the end today.  The burns start in less then 48 hours. Grin Do to the fact we dropped one of the targets we will only be burning two coins, One is a PoW coin, The other is a PoS coin. Both are listed only on YoBit and are dirt cheap.

So what you're saying is that you've bought up the cheapest coins, and when you announce the coins you will post sell orders for double what you paid and hope some suckers buy from you? Sounds legit...
2583  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Guy Who Tipped Thousands of "Dollars" w ChangeTip Gets Banned, Tells His Story on: November 27, 2015, 03:30:59 AM
Isn't Adam Guerbuez that neonazi facebook scammer guy that started Viralcoin? Couldn't they just have banned him for any of those reasons under their terms of service?
2584  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: November 26, 2015, 04:55:26 PM
Total buy orders on polo under 60 BTC. Looks like everything is down again with BTC's little jump, but I'm kinda thinking we're going under 0.001 here.
2585  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 42Coin thoughts. Its ACTUALLY getting interesting. on: November 26, 2015, 04:39:03 AM
Comparing your shitcoin to Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin, or any other coin with more than 5 nodes running on the network is like comparing apples and shitcoins - all of the above have people mining and using them, while 42 coin has a couple of asics mining it and two exchange nodes and not much else. Why would anyone want to use the 7000th scrypt clone coin? You still haven't provided any actual reason. Bitcoin is the first, Litecoin offered a new algo without the premine of Tenebrix, Dogecoin gave such wow and much community. 42 coin offers a poorly coded clone coin that can't even properly implement a 42 coin limit. Keep calling names and saying 'lol' rather than give any actual reasons why someone would want to own one of these 52 pieces of shit, I'm sure you'll attract others to your noble cause.
2586  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 42Coin thoughts. Its ACTUALLY getting interesting. on: November 26, 2015, 03:00:46 AM
So you have no actual reasons why the price should increase, other than the price should increase so that the price can increase...or something. Keep pumping, maybe you can double the market cap to $2k Tongue
2587  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 42Coin thoughts. Its ACTUALLY getting interesting. on: November 26, 2015, 02:40:35 AM
Cmon, you basically admit in your posts that you only want to pump 42 so that you can cash out to BTC:

Quote
Ill buy 20% of the market and retire off of it. Seriously!

What are some actual reasons that 42 coin is undervalued? The total amount of coins is a bullshit argument, otherwise LTC would be worth 0.25 BTC, not 0.01. It's a coin with no user base, no hash power, a market cap that is less than a paycheck, and no innovative features. If 42 coin is good, why isn't OneCoin better? Shit, why not have the enitre coin supply be 0.001 coins; that would be so rare! Keep feeling sorry for me, I'll keep calling your favorite shitcoin a piece of shit.
2588  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 42Coin thoughts. Its ACTUALLY getting interesting. on: November 26, 2015, 12:22:07 AM
So, OP owns 1 out of 52 42 coins, and is trying to pump so he can dump? How else to explain the stream of bullshit emanating from this thread? It's extremely undervalued, except it's coded by some fuckwit that can't even figure out how to count to 42, it's got no network to speak of so it's extremely insecure, and it's only traded on Cryptsy which is in the midst of goxing. Did I miss anything?

Math=Bullshit?

I like how you felt the need to bring your shitty ass personality to this thread to infect everyone else with your terrible attitude.  What coin have you made? How successful are you? How old are you? If above 21, do you still live with your parents? Are you capable of getting a girlfriend? Lets dig in on you a little bit and find out why you are so angry. I don't know shit about you but I already know this. The reason you aren't happy with anything is a result of your terrible negative attitude and nothing else. Its your fault. Fix it or you will always be blaming the wrong person for your failings.

I am actually on here to pressure the dev to either straighten his act up or pass this coin on to me. He needs to fix his attitude as well. Ill develop the ecosystem myself. It is extremely undervalued I want to fix it. Hendo420. Whats it going to be? Are you going to take the reigns and profit from the idea you created or not? If not let someone else step in.

Lol, you mad? You sound mad. Sorry for calling out your attempt to pump a shit coin. Carry on.

I like 2 the best, but don't like the sharp corner on the 'e'. I think someone posted a week or two ago about having the 'a' just flipped over to make it completely symmetrical, I think that would look better...I think.
2591  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So I just read on BBC NEWS... on: November 21, 2015, 03:08:39 PM
There was already a coin that tried this, called Mangocoinz I think, but it's not really a coin in any sense of the word, just like a database on some guys computer that the app on your phone communicates with, afaik.

Will Monero get in touch with Ethereum developers, or get the ethereum source code and create a similar lightweight wallet?
....

Looks like a indirect troll post to me.

Oops, what I meant to say was ELECTRUM, not Ethereum.

Fuck, they sound so similar.

So is there any plan to get ELECTRUM lightweight client developers to work on Monero, or copy the source code of it and implement it to Monero so that we can have lightweight clients in Monero?

Ahh, that makes sense. Smiley

Many wallet discussions but this thread is soo long they will be tough to find.

There was a thread on reddit about this a day or two ago:

2594  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Unveiling the truth over the major Monero scam on: November 19, 2015, 01:00:18 PM
Here is some appeal to authority for why Monero is not a scam:

Tweets of support from Bitcoin core dev Peter Todd:
https://twitter.com/petertoddbtc/status/622022840330682368

Bitcoin core dev Greg Maxwell used to hang out in #monero-dev frequently on IRC, generally seems to support Cryptonote technology, and apparently offered bits of philosophy:
https://twitter.com/monerocurrency/status/484419899885101056

Bitcoin core lead maintainer Wladimir van der Laan has made a commit on Monero's main github repo (a minor one, but made a commit nonetheless):
https://github.com/monero-project/bitmonero/commits?author=laanwj

I'm not trying to say that Bitcoin devs are infallible or anything, but just consider how many altcoins receive anything remotely resembling approval from the Bitcoin crowd, particularly the core developers (except Peter Todd, he's the Viacoin guy, right?). I just think it's worth mentioning in the context of which coins are scams and which ones are not - if you're getting commits in your github repo from the lead maintainer of Bitcoin's github repo, you're probably not dealing with a scam.
2595  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NXT IS BEING DEAD on: November 19, 2015, 02:51:09 AM
....

50 * 0.06 = 3

1 - 0.06 = 0.94

94% loss.  My bad, I was off 2%

Not quite, since unlike NXT, which is completely premined, LTC has had relatively high inflation from the time it was at $42 or whatever until now. Since the discussion was around the market cap of NXT, that would be the more apt point of comparison. Litecoin's ath market cap is ~768M and is now at around 138M, which is drop of about 80%, still a lot, but you were off by a bit more than 2%.
2596  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] [GULDEN] Gulden.com/join — Meet the community and chat with the devs on: November 17, 2015, 10:24:50 PM
How am I trolling by asking how you intend to prevent double spends? I was just curious about your plan to do it, since, as I understand it, the entire point of proof of work is to prevent double spends, and proof of work breaks down if one entity controls more than half the hash rate. It seems like an intractable problem. Sorry for asking, jeez...
2597  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] [GULDEN] Gulden.com/join — Meet the community and chat with the devs on: November 17, 2015, 05:06:49 PM
What's the frequency of the auto-checkpointing? Wouldn't there be time for an attack between checkpoints? Are you planning to just rollback transactions to the previous checkpoint if there's another attack?

It seems very unlikely that the attacker(s) would bother with NLG again, since afaik the only exchange is Bittrex, and you can bet they're going to keep a close eye on it, but it seems a bit disingenuous to say that you have solved double spending. The only way to prevent 51% attacks and double spending is to make the coin more centralized, which seems to be what is being done, that you kind of acknowledge with statements like "We will be releasing our interim solution...", where 'interim' implies it is a quick fix that will be removed later. I mean, if you truly solved double spending without centralizing the coin, you'd get the Nobel prize for crypto or something, right?
2598  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [MYR] Myriad 0.9.2.16 REQUIRED UPDATE | 1st Multi-PoW on: November 16, 2015, 05:44:08 PM
Not dropping, just swapping. I thought swapping myr-groestl was a bit more appealing because it would bring myriad into a bit more alignment with unitus.
2599  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [MYR] Myriad 0.9.2.16 REQUIRED UPDATE | 1st Multi-PoW on: November 16, 2015, 04:02:08 AM
What about swapping out qubit for yescrypt? Saw some discussion on IRC about it.

After discussing it on IRC and thinking about it a bit, maybe it would be better to swap out myr-groestl for yescrypt. Then we'd be more closely aligned with Unitus, which uses qubit, yescrypt, and skein (but not myr-groestl), and I've also heard there is an fpga implementation of myr-groeslt.

Im struggling to update blockchain, got stuck and keep saysing in red color(text)
......main block wrong height(around block 500k+(same block every time) i restarted and same shit, i have data  on custom location not appdata.
thanks!!
What OS? I never had this issue. Could you 'save' and 'exit' around block 450000, then make a backup of the blockchain (not to start from scratch each time). After that run bitmonerod again and let it sync to the end. Also "block wrong height" is OK - some are syncing like you and they still don't have the whole blockchain.

Win 7 64bit
I tried download blockchain from net and it couldnt open it.
I get error and its stays there(is repeating) but block is the same for hours...idk really.
thanks

I think there is an issue with the built in windows unzipper utility for files over 4 GB or so. I had an issue with downloading/unzipping a bootstrap for huntercoin, and it was due to trying to use windows unzipper. If the file is bigger than 4 GB, try using 7zip or something else to extract.
