Does Windows read all of your cards?  What motherboard do you have?

262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - www.middlecoin.com on: February 05, 2014, 06:01:14 PM
From "low payout crisis" to "share difficulty / profit correlations" and some "know it all bang-gangs" discussions...

This is definitely the MOST entertaining thread around! Grin

On a more serious note it seems the latest server updates were successful.

8h running connected to the main server (automatic redirection)

1% reject rate
No stales
No getwork failures

 Cool

Definitely.  This is my favorite thread to read when I am bored or need a break from work.

I haven't been getting many rejects at all lately.  Too bad all the shares that I do submit just get stolen by that thiefy little water odyssey...  Roll Eyes
263  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do girls use Bitcoin ? on: February 05, 2014, 05:59:43 PM

Males and females - both are human.
Day by day more people use bitcoin. So women does to.

What silly logic.

Clearly, women are too busy baking cakes and cleaning their husband's houses to learn about Bitcoin.

The only women who can possibly use Bitcoin are the one's whose husbands allow them to.

My issue was power.  Forgot all about this thread!  lol

I swapped out my 850W Antec for a 1200W Thermaltake and now that rig is running 3x5850s and 1x6950 with no issues.

Windows seems to hate this motherboard and I ended up having to play musical chairs with the PCIe slots before getting all 4 cards mining correctly.  Very strange issues, but they are all gelling... for now!  *crosses fingers*
266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: February 04, 2014, 11:30:23 PM
so much unexchanged. much rejects. no much server.

Wow, so even when the pool operator is saying he is working on the issue(s) you'll still complain, eh?

Now people know why good pools are hard to come by.

Who would want to deal with all of this?

That's how humanity works. Sad but true, nothing is ever good enough.

well, actually, I haven't said anything negative. Just stating some facts.

In fact, I'm a big supporter. From zero to hero in a few months. Wish I could do what he has done.

Don't worry bro.  It's hard for a lot of people to decipher sarcasm and Doge-speak.

That mixed with the numerous complaints from ignorant people (not being offensive, look up the word if you are offended) that have no idea how servers, difficulty, or mining work thinking that h2o is half-assing this while "stealing" profits from the masses... it's part of what drives the comedic value of this thread and probably a key factor in why h2o steers clear of this thread.

I was looking at the 1024 diff...and while people say it doesnt affect gains, it does slow the shares...

so when we are doing low dificulty coins what happens when a new block is found? i have to start calculating again and loose what i had done?

if its happening like this...its affects gains.

Yep.  Another person who has no idea how difficulty works...

Sad.

Difficulty could be 50,000 and it wouldn't affect gains in the long-term.  Unfortunately, the majority of the people on this thread think that "long-term" means 6-12 hours.

Difficulty affects VARIANCE, it does not affect gains.

Learn what difficulty does first, then try to complain Smiley
268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: February 04, 2014, 10:25:41 PM
I find it humorous that people who have no idea how difficulty or mining in general works, are acting as if they have the first clue about how to fix the complex issues that h2o is working on.

This thread is golden.  One of my absolute favorites to read on a daily basis.

Hey bud, I don't think he is accepted any new people right now.

I might be dropping out in the near future to use my sig space to promote my own Bitcoin venture.  Just still in the early stages of it and need to get a website up and running first!

Not sure what his policies are, but I am hoping to auction it off (for free) based on responses as to what people want the space for and why they use Bitcoin Smiley
270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Lebowskis [LBW] - *Updated Client and Seednode* on: February 04, 2014, 08:33:29 PM
Pools are not needed.  Difficulty is so low that you can solo mine using CPU only.  I get about 12-20 blocks a day with 20 kh/s.

P.S. Tomorrow I will attach the first (AFAIK) scrypt ASIC (dualminer w/ gridseed ASIC) to the LBW network.  Probably just one, so that'll be another 70 kh/s for me.

Can you post pictures when you do this?  I am curious to see the Gridseed in action.  It definitely seems like a cool thing, but right now the prices are just too high to make me want to buy them instead of new GPUs for another rig.
271  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] LEASERIG.NET - rent mining rigs - now with Scrypt-Jane & nFactor support on: February 04, 2014, 04:03:33 PM
The whole point of this service is to offer your rig if you dont want or dont have time to scout for coins, but still want to make a bit more than on multipools, being paid in advance. Else you shouldnt offer your rig.

But at the rate that middlecoin is going today, it does look like they may hit .016-.017 BTC/Mh/day today...  Cry with my rigs rented for another 60hours at .0158 BTC/Mh/day

Oh no!  You might lose out on a potential $2-3 USD Sad

272  Other / Archival / Re: [ANN] OpenRigs.com - Aluminium Frames for Mining Rigs on: February 04, 2014, 02:48:24 PM
Well since I ordered I have built a couple of my own rigs and am about to receive the aluminum to work on a prototype for a new design.

The product looks great, but the shipping time is just too much to make this a viable product for US consumers.  I'll probably have my website up and be in production before I receive my order Cheesy

maybe nerd is fat ugly girls use bitcoin, cute girls are not on Internet, they have social life.

Have you ever been on a website called reddit before?  I think you'll quickly change your mind on the kind of girls that are on the internet.
What about that chick who tattoed her BTC address on her back.

That's like getting someone's name tattooed on your back, gonna be hard to remove when the bubble pops.

This is why we don't let women use bitcoin, women need to be TOLD what to do Smiley

She was TOLD that the address needed to be easily viewable by her customers...

(yes, I am implying she is a prostitute and that she takes it from behind)

274  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: PCIe Riser Cable only working in 1 of 5 x16PCIe slots... on: February 03, 2014, 08:43:52 PM
Anyone?  Having the same problem with Linux.

About to head up to Radio Shack to get some ohm resistors and make dummy plugs, and going to short the PCIe pins A1 and B17.

Maybe that will work... but not holding my breath on it.  Makes no sense why it would work fine on PCIE4 but no others...
275  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do girls use Bitcoin ? on: February 03, 2014, 03:26:13 PM
