Hello all! Happy New Year! May 2014 be a fruitful year for you all, and for the world of Bitcoin.
Apologies, I am a little late. I've been incredibly busy with some exciting new changes to the site which will see a much improved service from next week. I've also welcomed on board a new employee to help with Tech Dev.
This month's payouts will be made within the next few hours. Thanks for your patience.
Congrats man! That is very exciting news. Happy New Year and thanks for this program. Very cool (and easy) way for some of us to make a little coin for something we do entirely too much

I'll happily keep his money and donate it to anyone that can verify they got scammed by him?
Although that may seem like the right thing to do, I don't think that would be a wise move. It would only give him a legitimate reason to label you as a scammer.

Man that guy is crazy...
My order number is #767 and my tracking information still isn't showing up on the website, but I'm not worried in the least. It takes some time especially around this time of the year, and when I ordered I was expecting a mid-to-late January delivery. Will definitely be leaving positive feedback for fluffypony and post pictures when I receive the order.
There is absolutely no reason for someone to act the way that paradiselife is acting.
you tell yourself whatever to make you sleep better at night time.. why does it take so long for a tracking number to show up in South African postal service? I can smell the scam from miles away That smell is probably due to the fact that your head is wedged up your ass.

I blew my fuses as well because the ones that came with mine were 32V. Once I purchased 12V 30A ones I was fine. Just my two cents, hope that helps!
They sent you 32V fuses with your Cube?! Man, no wonder you blew them both.

I'm thinking I might just have a go for fun with a usb miner for bitcoin. The rent I pay includes electricity so I don't have to worry about paying those costs but a litecoin rig would probably upset my landlord a little. I know I won't make much but I'm going to look at it as an opportunity to learn something new and it'll count as a new hobby . I'll get to use my raspberry pi for something cool too. If I got myself a couple of ant miners, could I then add say one of those cheaper usb miners at a later stage to the same rig or do they all have to be the same type? You can add both types of miners. No issues there. As long as it's just for a hobby, then go for it. Just don't expect to make any significant amount of money. If nothing else, you will have succesfully turned cash into some Bitcoin with your hobby. And yeah, you would have been able to buy more Bitcoin with your cash than you will mine, but it's your choice and mining can be a fun little hobby Good luck!

My miner keeps restarting after around 2.5 minutes of running saw earlier in this thread that it is due to the proxy server and searching for work? How do you fix this though?
Post up your settings and batch file that starts the proxy miner. That's the easiest way for us to help

Which other alt coins could I could mine with asics and make a profit are are they all needing big boy rigs now? Scrypt based is probably my best bet looking at other posts by you guys but could I do this with my Pi? I'm on a strict budget so can only afford to spend around £200-£300 on equipment. No way to mine Scrypt with a Pi that I am aware of... got any spare PC parts laying around? You can probably find everything you need on this forum. You can get a used 5850 for $60-80, and should be able to find a cheap mobo/cpu/ram solution, then throw a cheap PSU on there and an old harddrive and you will be good to hash away Scrypt at ~340kH/s It's not much but it's certainly a good place to start!

Snag up some used GPUs and build a Scrypt rig... or get down on a legit group-buy for a CoinTerra machine if you want to do the ASIC thing. The latter is more risky, but those are pretty much the only two possibilites of profitting.
If it's just for a new hobby, then I'd reccomend GPU mining Scrypt... it's more fun to me, but I imagine I would shit a brick if I had a device hashing SHA256 at 2TH/s

Relax. It's new year... don't be so desperate.
If I don't get my signature payment then my wife is going to leave me for the mail man because can afford to put Ramen in her cupboard...

Yes, I think bitcoin mining should stop because no one is really making profit.
It's big-time players now, bud. If you don't have a couple hundred grand to throw around, it's probably best to buy it. Or Scrypt mine... no ASICs... then it will be CPU mining... now that hobbyists have been created there is no end to the mining culture and the land of the forever altcoins.

How the hell do these companies not get prosecuted? This forum makes it seem like it is legal to defraud people of their money.

It's very possible that there is a lull in difficulty for say a month. But expect a huge increase as the next stuff comes up. Like 15% increase for three jumps and then 100% increase for the next jump.
I'm thinking it will be something similar to that, but maybe 5 15-20% jumps and then a couple of huge ones as the 28nm ASICs that are pushing 2-5TH/s each hit the market. Looks to be a rough year for the ASIC miner. Scrypt is going to get overloaded... which alt-coin wins this year? Litecoin, something else? Hmmmm

So, what is butterfly labs doing know, well let me tell you, people that are dumb and keep theyre company up by buying from them and waiting half a year to receive their miner which wont be worth it since the difficulty rose up.
If half the shit I hear about BFL on here is true, it's only a matter of time before they get shut down.

Yup. Almost time to list my Cube on eGay.

I have never had to type anything in to connect. It connects automatically when I boot up my computer.
Well not to connect to the router itself, but to access the settings on the router. For example, my router's IP is 192.168.1.1 so to access the config on it, I type that into an internet browser. I don't understand how it is possible for your router and computer to have the same IP address

It all depends on the difficulty. It's rather easy to project what the next difficulty jump will be, however it is much less accurate to predict where the difficulty will be in a few months, a year, etc.
Edit: if you want to mine for profit, I suggest a Scrypt GPU mining rig for starters. Cheap, you can resell the GPUs, and they are profitable. ASICs are much more unpredictable and have little-to-no resale value after they become obsolete.
Well. from what I see the best cards can pull out about 700 MH/s, which is not much comparing to the 30GB/s ASIC. + the difference in price between those two isnt that high as I would have expect it to be You can GPU mine Scrypt altcoins and exchange to Bitcoin. Mining Bitcoin directly with GPU is not profitable This. And if you have no interest in altcoins (which why should you? they are shit) then you can use a pool like middlecoin.com to mine Scrypt directly for Bitcoin. GPU mining SHA256 is a complete waste of hashing power and electricity now.

I wish I could help you, but I don't know why you cannot connect. You currently are running one Cube without any issues right? The only thing that I think could be effecting it is that your router and your computer are not on the same subnet, one is on 10 and the other 1... How did you get your first Cube running correctly? How come you cannot replicate that course of action? I got the first one running by using 192.168.1.1 on both the IP and Gateway. I finally got both to the same addy this time too, but still could not connect. I have used both my laptop and desktop. It is almost 9am hear and I have been at this since 5:30. I don't know if I can access the router set up page or not. I will try and report back. The IP should be the computer you are using to run the proxy miner, the Gateway should be the router. They should not be the same IP, nor should they be able to be the same IP. What address do you type in to connect to your router?
