I`m so tired of this blitz stuff, I read this topic for Stratis technology
You're right. I'm sorry I ever started posting on it...

don't forget Chris is probably one of the largest blitz holders, so if he honors the deal it might actually increase his stake in Stratis
Where would the extra Stratis come from?  Huh There can be no new Stratis.
And with no percentage ever agreed on I don't see how there could even be a deal. Just an idea that was thrown about.
How could a small group of holders do a deal for all holders?  Huh  How could they have such a right? Who gave them that right?  Huh

Anyone have some insight on when the best time to buy tickets now is, and how to estimate fees?

It looks like there are four points per cycle on the oscillating ticket price graph: 40, 80, 120, and 80 DCR, approximately. I've heard that fees go insane when ticket price hits that low point around 40ish, but I'm not seeing any fee info on dcrstats or in wallet with getstakeinfo command or whatever.

Any advice or suggestions appreciated...

To avoid the fee wars, I'd suggest buying in the 40's and 50's range. These will usually go through even at the default/minimum ticketfee.
Lower ticket prices
What are these tickets?

The projects which grow or have grown exponentially are those that have the capability for real world adoption. Stratis is a platform designed to help bridge that gap in Blockchain adoption. It's one of the most real world focused businesses in crypto right now. All I can say is (again) - an investment in Stratis now will be worth so much more in the months/years to come.

Very true statement.  Stratis has a solid project, team and marketing strategy.  At this current price, you can't lose if you invest now.  In the very near future, every Stratis investor will be able to cash in their pennies for dollars.  Buy and hold!
Could not agree more!
What I also love is that Stratis are focusing on businesses. Businesses have money and coders. Which makes it much easier for them to understand and implement the tech aspect. Which highly increases the chances of making big deals. Mass market adoption is much more complicated than aiming for businesses

Has there been any news on this front?

What is the latest news in Decred?
267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | STRATIS | The first blockchain developed for businesses |Full POS on: January 26, 2017, 10:33:06 AM
Stratis really seems to have found a floor at mid 8s. I can see this moving up a lot more in the next week or two.
If there is some good news. Everything else is in place now.

current marketcap is ~3million $ thats nothing.

That's what I thought too

Earnings Distributions
In order to distribute earnings issuers will need to select the date and time of record which the
system will use to determine who all the investors are at that given date. An amount of bitcoins will also
be specified as the gross amount of the dividend. After confirming the date and amounts the system will
allocate the gross dividend across the relative share of authorized equibits held at each address and initiate
bitcoin transfers to the payment address specified by each one.
Knowing which Bitcoin address corresponds to the Equibit address where the shares reside then
becomes of paramount importance for the entire system to function and maintain a positive user
experience. To create these associations, investors can create a public message that is broadcasted to the
network designating the various addresses and cryptocurrencies they can be paid in.

Paying dividends/distributions in bitcoin will be very complicated. Currently share registries handle dividends and facilitate payments, but equibit can't do that without becoming like an ordinary registry.
The bitcoin infrastructure is not mature enough or widely accepted enough too Different jurisdictions have widely differing approaches to bitcoin and different attitudes to taxation.

Will different jurisdictions view BTC as an asset, a commodity, a currency? What will be the implications of transferring fiat to btc or btc to fiat?

No, it does not look like it. This appears to be an attempt to have a share settlement and registration system.
Securities exchanges are more likely to explore this on their own as the ASX is doing IMHO.

That was my first thought as well. Why would they use a 3rd party system they have no control over.

I'm out of this one. But I will probably buy when it hits exchanges.

We have no relation with ASX, we are not using third parties.

No you would be a third party.

The point was ...who would use your system??

actually the point is who trust this project , team should discuss the technology but not money  money money ..

Companies would issue their own stock over the Equibit blockchain and would have control over the structure and dividend schedule of their own stock.

We would not be a third party as we are NOT between transactions. Moreover we do not hold signed EQB for any issuing companies unlike clearing agents or depository trusts.
Sure...you can argue that rather than a Trusted Third Party we have a decentralised network secured by cryptographic proofs. But, the Know Your Client ans Anti Money Laundering requirements will require some centralisation.

M'eh. Someone was tossing around some ideas. There is no evidence of any "agreement".

If Litecoin has a market cap of $180 million, with no real advantages compared to Bitcoin, who are you to say that Equibit won't reach a market cap of hundreds of millions with its unique use-case?
The total number of tokens when they have all been mined will be 22,000,000 (22 million), 1 million tokens created for the ICO and 21 million tokens mined. If you had read the ICO's Terms and Conditions properly you would have seen this:

Quote
The mining process will create fifty
(50) EQB per block with the amount halving every 210,000 blocks. The initial sale is directly related only to the first
process. Any unsold EQB from the initial block shall remain in the control of EDC and to be used at the discretion of
EDC management.

Does that look familiar to you, eh? Same reward halving scheme as Bitcoin.

Yes..it doesn't sound very good. They should be putting that sort of information out clearly in the OP.

Wehave seen what happens recently when promoters of a new coin adopt bitcoins emission curve and don't make it clear. This happened with Zcash and Zcoin.
Both of which fell dramatically.

If they made this clear they people would not be keen at all. It's way way way too expensive

Swap may be a good choice, but let him concentrate on Stratis platform. But before ICO, there was no swap, I think no swap will happen in the future.
On what basis should there be a swap? Why would a swap be good?

There are always two sides to any story, and unfortunately we don't have any hard evidence of what happened.
Were things promised or just proposed?  Are peoples memories accurate if all we have is memories?

I don't know the answers.

Crypto is one of the most speculative things you could possibly gamble on. I have lost plenty on different coins which are no longer active.

Based on the performance of other recent blockchain project launches EDC management has estimated the
total market capitalization of the Equibit Platform could reach into the hundreds of millions of US Dollars within the first
year of operations.
It's very unprofessional and irresponsible to make this sort of statement.
How precisely did you make this estimation?
 It seems way too optimistic.

Accordingly, EQB shall be sold during the pre-sale at the following price points:

TrancheEQB OfferedCumulative EQBPrice (USD)
1100,000100,000$2.00
2100,000200,000$2.50
3100,000300,000$3.13
4100,000400,000$3.91
5100,000500,000$4.89
6100,000600,000$6.11
7100,000700,000$7.64
8100,000800,000$9.55
9100,000900,000$11.94
10100,0001,000,000$14.93

So if they are right and there is 3.6 M coins (after one year), it will have to have a market cap of $7.2M just to break even if one buys in the forst tranche.

If you buy in the last tranche it will have to have a market cap over $50M just to break even.
Quote
After one year there would be approximately 3,628,000 EQB in existence

What people need to know is the total number of coins absolutely, not just after one year.

Stratis is getting some attention, so it's a good time to try and pressure the blitz::stratis dev team into doing the right thing. Embarrassing people with the truth can sometimes get results, there's no FUD here, blitz has been abandoned, if not point me to some updates in the last six months ... you can't, coz there hasn't been any, if there was someone would have posted it, wouldn't they!

Shame and embarrassment from casting light on the truth isn't fud, but it's what happens when you ignore people, and betray their trust. What other way to proceed do you suggest, beg? Stratis investors can still make a good return from unethical devs, but maybe some will feel uncomfortable, through nothing more than rational self interest at how they may be treated themselves in the future.
What specific promise was made to you? Please don't be vague. Thank you

Why did the I/O coin market cap jump so much. The market cap on www.coinmarketcap.com jumped from around $6M to over $10M but the price didn't move anywhere near that much.   Huh
279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Zcash worth to invest in it? on: January 21, 2017, 02:38:31 AM
Zcash is interesting as an academic exercise. Some people with advanced degrees are trying to see if they can make it work..

But it can never succeed IMHO because we can never know whether the keys were destroyed and that new zcash coins are being minted.

Zcoin is far better because if those "keys" were not destroyed the extra coins will be visible

What's with the dump?

Who knows? I am holding, I remember there was a dump to 3.5k minimum many months ago, and then we took off, Be patient and don't panic, just calm down. Waiting for full nodes, it will be released in next week, ND said that.

I am following all news channels constantly. That is why I am wondering about the trend. 18K was obvious pump and dump, but now the trend should be stable. I don`t get it.
I think the coin is fine long term. But there has been short term speculators selling. There was a lot of optimism among holders of the coin, and a lot of optimism isn't always good for short term moves, particularly if the price falls quickly as it has done twice. M'eh
