Guys, guys, guys...

Let me help you understand why the price has taken a hit.
Seems like a lot of altcoins have taken a hit since the sidechains whitepaper came out.
At some point I imagine people will begin to focus on the problems with sidechains too.

Guys, I keep monitoring XC since it is an interesting project. Some advise: Do not build an app without the help of a UI/UX designer. You guys can do better. I'm a user interface designer myself but unfortunately I don't have time to help out. If you want to be taken seriously, these things need to look far more professional. Hopefully the interface will be looked at in the future (ideally this would be the first step though since it affects application architecture).

It looks a lot better on the actual phone.
How can we download it?

Is the selling on Bittrex coming from the 50,000 that got moved a few days ago?

Hello,

I am unable to withdraw XC from mintpal...Any one has the same problem with XC in mintpal and what can I do to get them back?
I withdrew about 5500 XC from Mintpal on the day it came back online. that was on Oct 16

Sorry to ask a question that could cause fear uncertainty and doubt but I have asked this question a few times and been ignored.
If we can buy into the blocknet using XC , does that mean that those XC could or would get dumped into the market and the price of XC will crash?
This is a really important question for us. We need an answer.
None of the coins used are going to be dumped.
Thanks again. I did miss this in the FAQ, so apologies. I think I can live with the way you guys are doing it.  Smiley

You cannot really say that... You are ITOing for close to 1M in alt coins most likely.

This is going to be needed to pay the developers of the BlockNet which in turn are more than likely going to sell these coins to actually be able to pay for their expenses.

Depending on the ETA of the development, you guys will basically be selling for 2500 BTC worth of coins between the ITO and the final release.

The total ICO is less than 1M,  and not all is from altcoins, only a percentage of that would be.  the rest is in btc

To quote the FAQ:

Will the ITO collect a large number of coins and then dump them to cover expenses?
-   No. Coins will not be dumped. They will be paid to developers in little amounts, over the duration of the project. Therefore the ITO will not decrease the value of participating coins.
-

1.Are the blocknet developers the same developers of the participating coins?
2.Can any of the developers be paid in XC?

Thank you. What is to stop the foundation doing this? Are the coins escrowed?

CoinGateway will handle the majority of coins.

So does this mean if we buy blocknet with XC on coingateway, that coingateway then DUMPS the XC into the market and the XC price crashes??

How is the XC exchange rate calculated?Huh?

No.
The Blocknet Foundation keeps the coins to fund development.

No coins are dumped. This is in the FAQ under the OP.
Are the coins held in escrow...or will they be sold off slowly over time?

At CoinGateway all the other coins will be paired to BLOCK.
What is coingateway??
Is it different from a normal exchange?

Also how will the XC exchange rate be calculated?

Just because some other group took in $2,000,000 doesn't make it fine to "only" ask for $1,000,000 for your own project and think you're giving away a deal.  Your view of reality is skewed brah...

This project will get a lot more support both financially and vocally if they tone down the cash cow and stagger their share offerings to source development funds in smaller allotments as I suggested earlier.

500,000 shares initially @ .00025 = 125 BTC

If they can't or won't kickstart this project with $50,000 worth of BTC then I have to question the legitimacy of the project.
That may not be a bad idea, but they may not have considered it. Has any other coin done this?

We could remember that we are making this up as we go along and our crypto community can no doubt improve things as we go.
1055  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Aeon coin - CryptoNight - CPU only on: October 22, 2014, 05:53:01 AM

The feedback about the wallet and other ideas is great. I have some interesting and exciting ideas for this coin. Since we are a small community we can try things that are a bit too radical for bigger coin like Monero.
Great idea. Such a great chance to innovate and experiment.

Shall we start a new thread?
1057  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XC][XCurrency] Decentralised Trustless Privacy Platform / Encrypted XChat / Pos on: October 22, 2014, 05:03:51 AM
fuck.. i bought yesterday at 104k :/ now i see that 0,3 BTC can dump to 80k on bittrex.. every dayg we are going lower and lower.. what do you think, how low we will go? if blocknet will help us with price?
I think it is normal for altcoins to get dumped from time to time. It has been quite a while since we had any dumps in XC. I think XC is a good chance of recovering because it is generally regarded pretty highly in my experience. Also the team seems to be doing a great job.

I find the current developments a bit confusing, but I'm not a genius as far as understanding the details goes.

* General disclaimer: After trading financial markets for many years I have discovered that there is very little correlation between what I think should happen and what actually happens.  Tongue

i dont understand why coins value will increase by 900%? (maybe it is because my english isnt very good) can someone explain a bit simpler?
Makes no sense to me. Unless you can spend the blocknet. My work involves analysing investments , and I don't understand the math on this at all.
1059  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XC][XCurrency] Decentralised Trustless Privacy Platform / Encrypted XChat / Pos on: October 21, 2014, 05:39:28 AM
You can buy with BTC and ANY of the participating currencies.  I would think once the valuation is clear for the Blocknet Shares, they would be priced per currency on each currencies current trading value,
I would imagine they would have VWAP period.
Quote
as I am sure they would do with BTC.
BTC will probably be fixed beforehand.

- The Blocknet’s initial value during the ITO equates to the following: 10 000 000 shares multiplied by an
initial share price of 0.00025 BTC = 2500 BTC.

Is BTC the only accepted coin to buy BN shares? Could Xcurrency redeem BN shares after its release?
So the usage of Xcurrency is to setup a Xnode and nothing else, right?
XC community have been supporting the team from Day1 and unfortunately the team seems to initial a new business to move on.  XC holders' investment will go down the drain?
Let's explain these questions.
Sorry, I feel really bad about recent news.

I believe you can buy in with XC as well as bitcoin.
How do they decide the XC price?
