I went to the website and saw. 1. 15 Billion coins offered in the ICO 2. ICO price $0.03 Therefore 15 Billion multiplied by $0.03 is $450,000,000.00  For real?? |

hello all.  I'm trying to get my head around Iota. It looks interesting. Can anyone help me witha couple of questions. 1.What is the current approximate marketcap of IOTA? (doesn't need to be exact) 2.How many IOTA are part of a premine, or locked up for development etc..? Thanks in advance. |

i'd probably be inclined to share it if I end up with a good product.
What I personally would find great (and haven't find an app or even website to do that) is if I could just enter a bunch of different altcoin addresses and the app would track their balance instead of having to manually just enter balances. I'm getting a quote on freelancer. I might see if that can be added. Anyone else have ideas? |

Thank you. I was hoping to get Poloniex, but maybe I should check out these others that I'm not as familiar with. I would pay for an app that I could do this with on Poloniex, I did make a little on Pascal, but would love to have been alerted earler, and I've missed a few moves lately , like DCR. It would be great if there was an app that I could set parameters on that gave me an alert. I might get one built |

IOTA is the best altcoin to look into IMO.
Directed acyclic graph, no transaction fees, scalability such that transactions become faster the more people that use the system, and some VERY serious people on their foundation. It will skyrocket once it hits exchanges.

but that zcash does not most newest super anonymous?
Zcash is bitcoin reskin, created from Bitcoin's codebase. It has an ability to hide the sender, recipient and value of all transactions on its blockchain. If you have the correct 'view key' - only then you can see this hidden data. AFAIK there is nothing more anonymous in Zcash than in other anonymous coins. Zcash seems a bit too private. As we can never know whether the trusted set up was compromised or not, we can never be 100% sure that someone is not adding extra coins to the pool. Zcoin seems better because even though it does not hide the amount, we would know if the trusted set up was compromised and new coins were added. Just my thoughts |

If ANON was needed so badly why did the dev's not submit the idea to the Bitcoin core dev's foundation etc ?
Was it because they knew it would be rejected ?
Well, you'd have to redo many things in bitcoin. So many, actually, that almost nothing would be left of bitcoin. Your question is akin to "if flying in the air is so important, why did people build airplanes, and didn't add wings to cars which were already riding ?". |

Probably some whale that doesn't know how to pump went too hard in the rise and so the effect, $4800 in a single day a risky profit for them, if any.
Don't be mad at me, all the coins are manipulated by whales, even the promising ones and Bitcoin itself
I'd have to disagree. There is so much room in the world for more than just bitcoin. Pascal coin now has a lot of its coins tied up with people with deep pockets. The longer it stays up the more we will have "price acceptance". There is so much money in the world looking for a home in alternative investments. Stocks don't appear cheap, the bond bubble is possibly bursting. If the tech works it could be attractive to many people. These views are just my own. Please don't anyone buy thinking I am advising you to do so. |

I missed the initial move but have been buying on the way up. I don't recommend anyone do it, but even now at 157000 sat the market cap is $8m...so if it's a good coin controlled by whales it is possible it could go higher...who knows. But I would not recommend gambling like I did if you are not experiened |

what was the ico value?
Started from 2500 sathoshi after that increased weekly. ICO price was between 2700-2800 satoshi. Wasn't the first round at 2500 then 4000 after that? |

The market cap of Monero indicates the market believes it is the best. Aeon has a core developer in common with Monero
Zcash seems interesting as an Academic exercise but there is no way of knowing whether millions of new coins could be minted without anyone knowing. It's too private.
Zcoin seems interesting as it uses zero-knowledge, but doesn't suffer from the problem I pointed to in Zcash.
I think Gulden has an interesting approach too but I have not looked closely enough at it
