1201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Jasinlee was never an XC developer on: September 06, 2014, 10:53:40 PM
We need to change the title of this thread as Dan M from XC has unambiguously stated that Jasinlee was NEVER an XC developer.

No your missing the point, Jasin was never an XC delevoper
Thank you for clearing that up.
The impression I got from reading posts here over the last day or two, both in this thread and the other one is that Jasin was an XC developer, but had his name removed but was still somehow involved.
I tried here...https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=770801.msg8694544#msg8694544  ...and here....https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=770801.msg8694457#msg8694457   ....to get an answer to this question, but my questions were ignored.

So thank you again for clearing that up

We in the crypto world could take the stance that we are not enemies but have much more in common than we do that differentiates us.
1204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: rdnkjdi - a senior FUD maker on: September 06, 2014, 11:03:07 AM
No, I think he has legitimate concerns and has been frustrated by lack of response lately. I think he has been trying to be restrained. Unfortunately Jasin has some circumstances which require his attention at present but hopefully will be able to give more attention soon
1205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XC][XCurrency] Decentralised Trustless Privacy Platform / Encrypted XChat / Pos on: September 06, 2014, 10:55:02 AM
Finally it would be equally unethical - a betrayal of him - to not voice our confidence in Jasin's integrity and strongly object to unsubstantiated claims that he is a scammer. We have every expectation that he will sort out his ASIC woes and not just disappear.
I've said this to you several times. How is it that you are not satisfied?
I would think that if you want to stick up for Jasin then it is not appropriate for you do do it in your role as an XC team member.
In the corporate or political world one would leave this sort of issue up to an independent third party, Jasin would step down until such time as the issue was resolved. There are well worn paths for negotiating such issues. Here there is not. Cryptos are in many way a radical and disruptive technology, so it's unclear where they fit or how such things should be resolved. Are crypto's something which will b e integrated in an existing system or something that facilitates something new and beneficial for us all?
Revolutionary is a much cliched word, but, IMHO a currency secured by cryptography rather than traditional means is truly revolutionary, and so it's still unclear how this will fit in, as (despite the sometimes corporate terminology) it is an extremely radical medium and technology.

Anyway...to answer your question..."How is it that you are not satisfied?".... I would prefer that your involvement in issues outside of XC, such as this issue, were separated from your involvement with XC.
1206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XC][XCurrency] Decentralised Trustless Privacy Platform / Encrypted XChat / Pos on: September 06, 2014, 09:26:26 AM
does XC need jasinlee? if not then time to cut ties. What's the point of having this fud surrounding the coin if there is no need for it. Of course if there is hard evidence the guy is shady he needs to be gone asap.

Make it official.

I think Jasinlee deserves to be innocent until proven guilty...as we all should be, but I don't think there is any need to engage people who have outside issues. Maybe Jasinlee can help XC. Maybe lot's of other people can help XC, but if they are not team members then there is no need for the XC team to have to defend them nor discuss them IMHO
1207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XC][XCurrency] Decentralised Trustless Privacy Platform / Encrypted XChat / Pos on: September 06, 2014, 09:21:36 AM
I think that the XC team could just make an unambiguous statement that Jasinlee is not part of the XC team. Then if someone has an issue with Jasinlee the answer can be that Jasinleee is not part of the XC team.
At the moment the message I am getting is..."jasinleee is not part of the team...but he kindof is....but not really ...but he sortof is...but it's not official...but he is not...but he sortof is..."
As someone else said...it should not be the  XC teams job to defend Jasinlee over something that has nothing to do with XC. Particularly if Jasinleee is not even part of the XC team.

The team is posted in the current web pages and his name is not there. This is apparently difficult for some people to understand. Maybe there should be a list of
people who are not on the dev team as well.

What is difficult to understand is why instead of just saying "he is not part of our team", people began to defend him, and to say he is somehow involved but not in an "official" way .
Why do we need to defend someone who is not part of the team or imply they are involved at all.
He is not part of the team, and there is no need to take it any further. That is all that needs to be said IMHO

I don't know how much more official it has to be...

http://xc-official.com/the-xc-team/

Do you see Jasin on there?  No?  Then he's not part of the "team"....
Unfortunately, when this issue arose again, the XC team started defending Jasinlee and saying that they have discussions with him and that he is not involved in an "official" way.
What should have been said is that he is not part of the team, end of story.

How is this unambiguous?

- "As you might see from the website, Jasin is no longer listed as a team member in an official capacity. So, no."
Your response has been ambiguous because you have said elsewhere that he is involved in "discussions."
Apparently Jasinlee is still involved in an "unofficial" capacity. You need to be be clear and unambigous about what this is.

Quote
Furthermore it is not irrelevant
Your opinion s about the other matter is irrelevant. The other matter has nothing to do with XC.

to be candid about both our continued interaction with Jasin and our expectations about Jasin's ASIC project. In fact, it is pretty important that we remain candid about this, since it would be bad faith if we were to lead investors to think that his lacking an official capacity with XC meant that he was not in communication with us.
I don't care whether you talk to him. He is innocent (until proven guilty). So whether you are in communication with him is irrelevant.

What matters is his current role in XC.
1211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Jasinlee - one of XC's Developers is a master fraudster - don't walk. RUN. on: September 06, 2014, 02:26:48 AM
[This does not mean that we are no longer in touch with him.] ...we are regularly in touch with him, he contributes to discussions over Skype,
I don't care if you talk to him. What is his role in XC?
Can't you please give an unambiguous response?
Quote
and we continue to have every expectation that his ASIC problems will be resolved in due course.
I don't care about your expectations of Jasinlee. Your expectations about him are 100% irrelevant.

Can someone from the XC team make an unambiguous statement about Jasinlee's current role in XC?  Make it clear and unambiguous.
I don't care if you know the guy or talk to him. And I believe in the presumption of innocence. But, I would like the XC team to issue a clear and unambiguous statement please.
1213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Jasinlee - one of XC's Developers is a master fraudster - don't walk. RUN. on: September 06, 2014, 02:11:20 AM
- Whether Jasin is officially an XC dev
Is Jasinleee and XC developer? Yes or no?
Quote
or merely associated with XC,
In what way is he "associated" with XC?
Talking to people in discussions on skype does not make someone "associated" with XC.
Come on...you need to make some unambiguous statements about this. Be clear.
1214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: One of XC's Developers is a master scammer - don't walk. RUN. on: September 06, 2014, 01:59:14 AM
As you might see from the website, Jasin is no longer listed as a team member in an official capacity. So, no.
On the other hand we are regularly in touch with him, he contributes to discussions over Skype, and we continue to have every expectation that his ASIC problems will be resolved in due course.
So please remove the word "XC" from the title. After all, why is there a good reason to target XC here?
Is Jasinlee an "XC developer"?
1215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: One of XC's Developers is a master scammer - don't walk. RUN. on: September 06, 2014, 01:44:15 AM

http://xc-official.com/assets/pdfs/14-07-08%20The%20XC%20Team.pdf

And you've also confirmed earlier that he was a part of the team... now you don't want to claim him?

It looks like Jasinlee is not an XC team member. So can you do the decent thing and remove any reference to XC
1216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XC][XCurrency] Decentralised Trustless Privacy Platform / Encrypted XChat / Pos on: September 05, 2014, 11:08:37 AM
Hopefully this is a new trend now, rather than small sell after small sell, we just see continual small purchasing.. There is hardly any resistance IMO up to 200k and we could soon see ourselves trading much higher and at a much more appropriate level if this happens...
Eventually the cream rises to the top

I have to say, well done to the Ducknote Dev and team..I sold my XDN too early, but am pleased to see it doing well.

No mention of XC: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fTjNkbLBEqg

We'll get there though.
Thanks
