c'mmon!!! go down!!!
need cheap coins! Tongue

It looks like you need to wait some more time for cheap coins.

Still have some big resistance at 285 and 290 before this short term downtrend can be considered over. Big resistance and support area at 273-277. Place some bids there and they may get hit. I had some bids filled there over the weekend.

There is no resistance in 285$. Resistance is in 290$ and 300$. Bitcoin still going sideways unless it reached 300+ or 270-.

Intraday $285 was support on 3 occasions during this last rise so yes it is a technical area of reisistance.
263  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: The Easy Attack - What am I missing? on: August 03, 2015, 10:22:54 AM
The fact that every node would reject the attempt to just create bitcoin is what makes our little project so great. Traditional money systems allow slect individuals to do just that. Change the rules abit and create money out of thin air  Wink

Definately echo what your saying smooth in regards to btc needing to perform. I think that to most of the outside world cryto=bitcoin. If people loose money investing in bitcoin and its infrastructure its going to take a lot to convinve people oh hey why not invest in x,y or x alt.
267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: August 02, 2015, 09:15:57 PM

PS: Wall moved down to 0.0022, it still remains to be seen whether it's real or not.

Moving the ask down to that close to the market price certainly makes it far more likely that it is there to be bought.

In fact as I'm typing this it is being bought into .
268  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [OFFICIAL]Bitfinex.com first Bitcoin P2P lending platform for leverage trading on: August 02, 2015, 09:13:42 PM
I decided to close position made opened by bitfinex BUG. I lost at least 300 $, I also withdraw all of my money (btc).
There is no answer from support at all.
BE CareFULL Guys, there is something wrong with them !!

https://www.reddit.com/r/BitcoinMarkets/comments/3fgopk/bitfinex_not_closing_orders/

The little update :
The bitfinex just contacted with me, we are working on finding right solution to cover my loses, I will let you all know.

So pretty much what I said above then. They will re-imburse you for any losses caused by an error on their side as they always do.
269  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Anyone in NY wanna partner? on: August 02, 2015, 09:11:54 PM
I've got a small 3th/s mining farm going (I get free power, I can explain more..)

I was wondering if someone in new york was interested in joining my mining team, or taking a look...

If you're interested, add my skype: bit.shark2

Or PM me, I have small activity so it will take a little to get a reply via PM

What exactly is it you're looking for? Someone to run your miners, watch over them, just keep you company?
270  Other / Off-topic / Re: There is no "bail" in Japan on: August 02, 2015, 09:09:29 PM
An idiot friend of mine experienced the Japanese justice system. Some clown in a bar threw beer on the girl he was with and since the common Western reaction to something like this is an immediate fight he decided to brawl with the clown and all his friends. The police showed up and arrested just him since anybody who throws the first punch in Japan is guilty and he got the standard 72 hr hold where if you don't confess they hold you for another 20 days.

He decided to confess immediately, paid $800 USD and walked out the door. He was in a bullpen with a dozen other arrested drunks and train gropers who all bribed their way out immediately as well. There's no "bail", but for almost every single crime except murder you can just pay your way to freedom which Karpales can do easily though his fine will be a lot bigger than $800.

So what you're saying is that he just needs to liquidate some of hs 400k+ btc and he can skip right out the front door?  Sounds about right for most justice systems in the modern world:D
271  Economy / Gambling / Re: Can bitcoin casino go bankrupt? on: August 02, 2015, 09:04:00 PM
Of course they can go bankrupt. Bankrupt just means unable to pay the winnings or other creditors. That could be as simple as the company hosting their servers. If they are unable to pay either winners or creditors as a company they would have to declare bankruptcy.
272  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which Bitcoin Client do you use and why ? on: August 02, 2015, 08:52:48 PM
I also use Armory, it is incredibly safe. Nobody can get my bitcoins even if they hack my computer, as the actual wallet is stored on a USB and used on a different, offline computer. Sure it takes more time for me to send my bitcoins somewhere

If using an electronic storage medium such as a usb, I do hope you have more than one copy as devices like that are prone to breakages.
273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: ► ► ► Cryptonic PHYSICAL MONEROj for SALE on: August 02, 2015, 08:51:43 PM
I ordered one of each 2014, but can't tell them apart.  They seem identical.   Huh

Which is silver-plated and which is pure silver?

Putting the content on the coin would be helpful!

Happy Moneroversary!

Do the two coins weigh the same? Surely that would be a good start in determining which is which?

Quote
The only time I suspected something was wrong (beyond Mark himself) was in April 2013 when my ex-employee contacted me to report there was an account that seemed to be buying bitcoins at a surplus rate, and it seemed to be internal to the company.

It's even worse than I thought. The fake trading started in April.

Read it again. Ex-employee contacted him in April 2013, which means it started even earlier than that.

All considered, it's pretty good that we're maintaining above $200

Well I saw most of 2014 as a consolidation phase as we recovered from the bullshit Gox and China pump in 2013. Meanwhile venture capital poured in to start to build things that people might actually use, and by late 2014 or early 2015 it seemed utility, potential, and the rate of building might be starting to converge with price. Since then things seem kind of stable. At a fundamental level I think the market is waiting for developments, like whether the technology holds up, scalability is feasible, regulation becomes suffocating, something better pushes it aside, a killer app appears, etc. I don't think what Gox did matters much right now, but I could be wrong.

I definately second that the whole gox scenario matters little now. Regardless of what came before its been nearly two years since that fiasco and as far as we know nothing else like it is/has been occuring. It was a case of too big too quickly and with terrible leadership. On a fundamental level bitcoin is still cheap at this price point takinginto consideration the total market cap vs its potential utility.
275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: August 02, 2015, 11:31:51 AM
In general I have been suprised by how much buying there has been given the low liquidity on the bid side of the orderbooks. Im convinced this part of the fallout from Polo's not so new KYC requirements. I know personally I often had low ball bids in the hopes of a mega dump like the one back at 0.0015 that I no longer keep on the books.
276  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [OFFICIAL]Bitfinex.com first Bitcoin P2P lending platform for leverage trading on: August 02, 2015, 11:07:11 AM
Hello All,
Bitfinex had a huge lag yesterday, what a mess.
I got huge issue with my account now.
The active position is totally different than my trade history !
The history of trade is correct but the active margin trade order is wrong and now I am - (minus) 450$ if I decide to close the position.
I opened the short position but some how I get long position, wtf is going on.
I got screenshoots and history of trade file as a proof.
Be careful guys, I also send a 2 tickets to support many hours ago without answer.

If it is a site wide issue Im sure they are working on resolving it. Any incorrect positions have always been rectified in the past and any errors or loss of funds sorted out. Be patient and I'm sure your issue will be dealt with.
277  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Osama bin Laden's family dies in private plane crash in London on: August 01, 2015, 11:36:16 PM
Osama Bin Laden's stepmother and sister are thought to be among four people killed after a private jet owned by the family crashed into a fireball after overshooting a runway while trying to land outside London.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3181443/Plane-crashes-Hampshire-car-dealership.html

Sad.

Definately sounds like some sort of mechanical error. With todays tech its not often that a plane is able to overshoot a runway and in day light hours as well.
278  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which Bitcoin Client do you use and why ? on: August 01, 2015, 11:30:16 PM
I am using blockchain because I feel its better then others and I feel secure with this

Same here. I use only online wallet.

If your going to use online wallets please only do so for small amounts of coins. So many people have been burnt over the years. Remember if you dont own the keys, you dont own the coins. Simple.
279  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do people still play dice? on: August 01, 2015, 11:25:43 PM
I used to play dice because i thought i could make profit, stable profit from it, obviously i was wrong, you can't win in the long term, that was my only purpose of playing dice, other than that i do not find it fun or entertaining unless im winning money, i would not play dice if money was not involved, so my question is, why people still play? Im sure 90% of people know what your odds are and that strategies don't work, what is their purpose? Do you guys really have fun playing dice? Watching a number appear on the screen?

If your are tired of dice, come down and play some plinko!   Check my sig for the link.   We offer a house edge as low as .9%

It's a lot more exciting than dice and there are a lot more payout options.

Checked out the site, interesting game. Definately beats just playing dice. Is there any reason why the max bets are so small though? 7000 bits is a really small max bet size.
280  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 01, 2015, 08:42:24 PM
But but but, 280 was the great reistance. Shorts were up to a whole 11,500. Poor bulls. Few more coins for me because I know how to trade. Ta.
