261  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin Too easy to manipulate? on: March 22, 2019, 11:16:56 AM
Don't you think Bitcoin can easily manipulate and below $1000 is still possible?

No, I don't think that is possible nobody can manipulate Bitcoin when it comes to its price in the market. Even whales can't do such a thing. Traders are smart enough to see if there is a manipulation going on in their exchange.

manipulation is a matter of degrees. it can go from full control of the market and the price down to only having slight influence over a short period of time. with that said manipulation exists in every market in the whole world without an exception. so saying it doesn't exist in bitcoin is a naive statement.
Of course it does exist, last market Pump and Dump really proved its existence but still with that, the price never crashed that low, I mean 1k that OP said is possible. This is why the mate said it is impossible to crash the price completely.

Because, the system also has check and balance in position which in this case are the traders and the trader are so wise now that they have learnt to monitor the activities of the whales when is about happening and I think this is exactly what is still putting a lot of them in control now and why we have not even seen sudden increase in price.

We also need to join hands not to allow them manipulate the system anymore.
262  Economy / Economics / Re: And Now Visa Wants To Enter Crypto on: March 22, 2019, 08:39:27 AM
I don't think the news about visas or anything else is new anymore because many have seen a lot of projects that have already been done and many have failed to develop their products, there are so many concepts now but in the end the community judges that they are not interested in the product
This cannot be the case of visa because these type of project products is what is virtually every home knows, those projects you are talking about are new projects built from scratch but looking at VISA, they are building on already existing popular project.

Just like Facebook planning to come up with their own coin, which we all virtually expect the project to really succeed considering the fact that they already have a very large community that are ready to support the project once it is being implemented, and this will be the case of Visa too, their trusting community will make the project a success and we better be ready to join them.
263  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you need cash for everyday use? on: March 22, 2019, 07:37:17 AM
We are working on Golden Currency project ( https://goldencurrency.money ), where we issue money that is available both in crypto and in cash form. We find the possibility to use crypto money in cash form as one of advantages. We expect that almost everybody anyway uses cash and in such a case the lack of such opportunity limits the potential use of currency. That's why we started the poll to prove it. Would be glad for your votes and comments regarding your view on such an option.
It would have really been nice if we all live in a cashless society but that will be impossible for now due to so many factors and one of the factors is literacy, when you look deep into some parts of the world, the number of illiteracy there is still quite high, how the do you introduce such technology as cryptocurrency to them, and you that is educated enough will have to deal with them in one way or the other everyday of your life, most of them have what you need for your daily life and will only accept fiat as form of tender, so we really can’t do without cash except all purchases and transaction will be done strictly online, which is quite impossible, so yes, I still need cash, so kindly go on with your project.
264  Economy / Economics / Re: Latest Bitcoin market trend - Looks like the Bitcoin Whales are losing momentum on: March 22, 2019, 07:03:29 AM
nothing will continue to stable here for a long time and its Momentum was changed due to a lots of reasons because that renders always been very short period of time we need to adapt yourself for the trend and make it useful this will be the thing that everyone should understand while the price was being high and low.
I don’t think it is good to adjust our mind to this type of volatile market, if every believer of crypto currency keeps doing this, what input have we then made to the success of cryptocurrency and what will we pass to next generation.

When Satoshi created the bitcoins, what he purposely created was a system of payment that will become very stable in near future for everyone to use and also hold as digital asset but look at what we have all turned it to now, only means of using it to make profit, if we keep with this trend, how will the purpose of the system be established and how are we going to also pass positive information to the government about Bitcoin.
265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why My Ether Wallet Showing So Much Balance on: March 21, 2019, 08:17:51 PM
I think you should be happy that you are getting a lot of balance in your MEW account why a lot of persons are seeing their money being lost to scammers.

Maybe you have participated in a lot for bounties and you have been rewarded with some coins in time past that had no value but now has value which is reflecting in your wallet, I don't have a better explanation to give about this because I am making use of MEW also and I have never had this kind of experience before, I just wish I have one right now, lol.
266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: less interest of investors to buy ICO on: March 21, 2019, 11:39:42 AM
now i see how many days ico appears and the result is a kind of war between ico to attract investors.
whereas I see that pre-sales to the public, ico are hardly in accordance with their targets, even to touch soft caps, it's very difficult.

Do you think that mastah caused ico not to be expected?

Because many investors lost their money, lot of money in dead and scam ICOs from last year.
And the market condition is not getting better, makes peoples left cryptocurrency.
Now, only the real and solid ICO project will be success to raised enough funds.
Most of the real ICOs are even finding it hard to reach their soft cap target not to talk of hard cap because of some of the point you mentioned here, I think the best way for them to reach their target now, provided they are solid projects is to first of all run it through ICO first, then whatever money they get through ICO, they can use the remaining one to register for IEO.

At least it will be lot easier to meet their target when they go through exchanges, it will make the project faster and campaign also faster, most hunters that has already worked till the point they left ICO will be paid on time and easily.
267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stay Calm, IEOs aren't a threat on: March 21, 2019, 10:50:05 AM
I understand any project requires advertisement but most of the projects that has been carried out on some of these exchanges using BTT as reference didn’t do any advert before they reached their target, the IEO systems itself is a form of advertisement because most investors believe that any project listed on the exchange has automatically been verified and marked as safe in which there will always be a pop out of new projects through the IEO platform and majority of the exchanges will be the ones to generate the news themselves which will require little or no use of campaigns.
268  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com 2 Just Launched! New games, updated design 💎💣🎰🎲♠️ on: March 21, 2019, 09:56:05 AM
Great news from the stake team, kudos guys for building a product that has no bugs as far as we can see, it was really a great development process with all the great things you provided and all that. Normally the "beta" is the process where we find the bugs and so forth and tell you whats wrong with it and you fix it and you bring it back and we try to find more and so forth until there is none left, but as is the stake team tradition you guys had none from the get go.

This new update should be taught on schools on how to do an update to a website without disturbing the peace of the website, both kept the old one open and showed the new one and made people get comfortable with the new one and so forth and now the V2 is no more "V2" but the default option. To many more years with many more awesome updates like this.
269  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tried Stake.com on: March 20, 2019, 07:06:53 PM
The criticism of your website has nothing to do with stake, that you can be definitely sure of.

Stake is just an "example" of a proper website because they have been around for probably 5 years (not stake but primedice which owned by same people) and maybe even longer and they have never screwed anyone over, so by default when someone offers advice on where to play you go with stake since you know they won't scam you, which in return like I said earlier has nothing to do with your website and if it is good or bad, its just an example and by attacking stake you are not doing any favors to yourself neither, you should make friends not enemies, say stake is awesome but they don't have poker which you have and make that the difference, attacking them won't help you.

The biggest casinos in crypto all have owners that are friends with each other and go into each others topics to praise each other, with this way you are just making sure no stake player will ever play on your website, doesn't really help your cause.
270  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: First hand examples of Emotional trading on: March 20, 2019, 09:00:35 AM
What are some examples of when emotions mess up your trades?

There are a lot of them. My own experience is when I should've sold my shitcoins when it was gaining more than 30% in one day but I waited for it to spike more but then it dropped. And then another one is when I think that altcoins that are priced 1 satoshi is easy to make money but I always get stuck in the hype and I bought it in 2-4 sats but I never did check its total supply.
Well, you can’t blame yourself for this, most people too are victims of this circumstances including me, we tend not to sell our coins when need be, waiting for a spike which is also not a bad idea, it depends on the angle at which you take the market but from your own angle.

It seems you took it from trading angle and that is why you could even invest in shitcoins which you ought to have  removed before it even got to 30%, if it was a good coin that has the tendency of spiking high to 1500%, I don’t think missing that opportunity should make one regret because it must surely come again and surpass that.
271  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Excessive confidence in cryptocurrency trading. on: March 20, 2019, 08:17:52 AM
Excessive confidence means he ready to take any risk that will come. It is what trader must have, because if we always doubt with what we want to act, we will lose chance in trading especially in big volume coin.
But having confidence on the wrong coin will make us to be in losses,so we just keep crypto earnings as one source of income nit us our primary source of income.
It is very important to have confidence in our investment, either in a wrong coin or a good coin but we must not 100% rely on them, this is why I will buy into your idea of not making it one or major source of income. Many people that have invested in wrong coins didn’t actually plan to do so; they might have seen the light in the project when investing.

Including the project members themselves but probably something happened along the line beyond their control that made the project shift from being a good one to a bad one. If we don’t build our confidence in any of our investment, this is where panic selling comes in and eventually makes us to lose it all.
272  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Major Correction on its way ! on: March 20, 2019, 07:27:13 AM
Have been running my midterm predicting market modeling oscillators for about 3 hours now (i do some stuff in Python and R)

and it clearly shows a major correction downward is on its way

Anyone else doing some stat calc here?

Is it really possible to make some algorithm to analyze the current cryptocurrency market, because everything in cryptocurrency is really is fluctuate, just like there is no one able to check on the cryptocurrency.
There is no algorithm that will accurately analyze the crypto currency market except time. As we get people on daily bases that are using each of the cryptocurrency for one thing or the other, we will always experience the fluctuations.

There are other sides to the crypto currency which is not limited to investment alone but usage for making payments and as medium of settling financial challenges, it’s the usage that we need to put pressure on so it can then generate profit the other way round. As long as we have human factors operating in the system, no algorithm will accurately predict the market.
273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO will be replaced by IEO on: March 20, 2019, 06:52:05 AM
Honestly, this is the best trend right now compared to that STO. Investors will be confident that their money is on the right place because a reputable exchange like Binance will surely strictly review these projects before advertising it on their platform. It's the best way to get rid of scam ICOs and bring back the trust of new investors or past investors again in this industry.
It will only get rid of ICO scams provided most project migrate to IEO and I do hope their policies for IEO is not too strict to force the project into staying with ICO, if they can succeed in making virtually every crowdfunding projects migrate to IEO, then we can be rest assured that they will regain the trust of potential investors out there and aside the scam issue too, is to also be sure that whatever project they are listing is very viable and will definitely continue to grow in the long run and not eventually turn to shitcoins they will end up delisting themselves.

STO and IEO may bring back confident into crypto space among investors which will definitely lead to win-win situation for all of them.
This is the expectation of this community but how far this new trend will go by keeping their word will be a time determinant. I remember ICO industry was highly successful when crypto market was trading positive but in downfall, due to lack of investors, most ICOs ended up failing due to improper managements.
274  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Listing kills a coin? on: March 20, 2019, 05:50:37 AM
Because these coins don't have a demand and also utility (just pump&dump), also maybe your coin is listed in the unknown exchange with a low volume of trading and popularity.

Many new projects right now always chosen unknown exchange to list their coin/token because it has cheap listing fees and easy for approval.
Yes, we could see many tokens that are on Exchange with very little volume. they probably will not last long, because it will not demand by investors and traders. due to the cost of cheap listing is ridiculous I think, because that would be bad for the development of the project.
I expect any token to actually have a low volume at start and low value because at that stage it got listed, they must have paid heavily for listing too which the cost of listing was withdrawn from the hard cap reached and cap recorded on listing will definitely reduce.

Secondly, if the project went through bounty campaign, a lot of hunters has the tendency of dumping the coin for the profit on it which will surely in turn have effect on the price and lastly, the project team will need up to a month after listing to start working in order to boost the growth. So it’s not all coin on exchanges that has low volumes that was as a result of cheap listing.
275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A new look to KYC, from a customer's perspective. on: March 19, 2019, 08:47:51 PM
~snip
You are absolutely on point, this is one of the great ways we can use in knowing a good project by verifying the team directly, at least a very good project should not be afraid of displaying its location and location of the team members which any of community members residing in same country as the team can verify and give feedback.

It will really be great if groups can be created generally for people to join other than the ones created by the projects, whereby people can come and discuss generally about any form of ICO for verification purpose by any member residing in the country of the project team.
276  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cloudbet | Bitcoin Casino & Sportsbook | The No.1 Bitcoin Gambling Site on: March 19, 2019, 12:14:03 PM
Hello everyone, bad things happened. Cloudbet does not want to give my BTC (0.86). They did not send me a letter confirming the withdrawal of funds, saying that there are technical problems. But after a couple of days of carrying out their brains, they answered me that either a 100% deposit was paid or documents for verification of their identity came. After I sent the documents, they no longer respond to me and naturally LIVE CHAT does not work.  How is such a huge company doing so?
Maybe they found something suspicious or you broke one of their terms. They might not process your withdrawal and only give back the amount you deposited.

There were users who had trouble in withdrawing before and their experience is similar to yours. If they didn't respond after sending your documents maybe it's because the country you're in is restricted by cloudbet. Their live chat is not always available but if you can browse the site you should be able to use the live chat.
That's the problem around here, they are very very tough on the withdrawals.

Many many people had issues withdrawing because somehow cloudbet finds "suspicious" stuff with people constantly and they require bunch of stuff to be able to withdraw the money and all that. It creates a whole lot of work just to withdraw your own freaking money. God knows how many people said "screw this I am done" and didn't even withdrew their money because of all this haggle. We all know just the ones who come in here and write about it.

There are plenty of sites where withdrawing is as easy as depositing and cloudbet is not making things any easier for them since this recent 330 bitcoin dude, yeah there could be troubles and problems caused by the gambler but making it harder for people to withdraw for "security" purposes has a limit and cloudbet has been over that limit for waaay too long.
277  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will an increase in bitcoin price affect the gambling industry on: March 18, 2019, 01:07:48 PM
As we all know the value of bitcoin are down but we are still optimistic about the price bouncing back.
Am new to bitcoin sportbook I just want to ask what would change if bitcoin increases
Bitcoin gambling is more popular nowadays so the people are trying to put larger investment and get it back so it will be very good thing for gambling also to develop very easily and more stable also happen when the Bitcoin was developed.
I think Bitcoin gambling has now become more popular because smart gamblers are taking advantage of the current market cap by involving immensely in Bitcoin gambling because they are believing and are of the full knowledge that definitely Bitcoin will get back to its feet sooner and there will be good increase in their bankroll.

I think is really very right because any sudden increase in BTC would bring about the rise of gamer's bankrolls. So, this period is quite encouraging for Bitcoin gambling. I do see lots of new gambling sites and their intensive promotions to this community. I believe they are all targeting bouncing back phase of bitcoins, it means everyone is looking for making use of current situations of bitcoin markets to get the maximum benefits when market will be bouncing back.
278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever managed to recover your losses? on: March 18, 2019, 12:24:40 PM
I find it very difficult to recover losses and I am not trying to do it either. That usually leads to making even bigger losses. I like to compare the things I do with some of my friends and in that way see what is good and what is bad. When I lose I stand up and walk away. But a friend of mine feels like he has something to prove. When he losses he makes an even bigger bet on something else, anything... just for the sake of betting like he is trying to prove something. You can imagine the success of that...
Trying to recover losses in gambling is like chasing after shadows. They would always lead to more losses. The best thing to do when one has lost is just to stop the game, Better to stop immediately, think about how the mistake can be avoided in the next play, and maybe next time go more prepared.

Trying to recover losses by playing back the game immediately is not always successful, I think if we all go into gambling with the mindset of it’s just a form of entertainment, we would not  get so hurt when there a loss.
279  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Could Sink to $1,850 Despite Bullish Crypto Momentum on: March 17, 2019, 07:00:45 PM
Despite the fact that he came of live TV to analyze this, everything is still speculation because no one is really sure of the direction the coin will take since the major determinant is the usage and adoption of the coin. This year will record its number of newly introduced investors to BTC which will definitely have a very great influence on the value of bitcoin, and so long the market cap keeps increasing. I see no reason why BTC will fall below $3000 but rather keep appreciating till it succeed in finally breaking the $4k resistance.
280  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin at $9,000 by the end of the year on: March 17, 2019, 05:54:49 PM
'Hope' that is the word, and that's all we could ever wish for and exercise . In as much as the market is concern and trading keeps happening. We can only hope that the price of Bitcoin will increase towards the direction and price it has predicted that it will be. Cause all are just doing is prediction, no body have every been lucky to give a constant account or price of Bitcoin and got it right.
I am a bit still surprised at why they have not given up yet on predicting especially the ones that are not major analyst and just leave the system to do its job and fulfill the reason why it was created. I equally understand that predictions can do better to the system provided it is a positive one because good news can encourage investors to invest because of FOMO.

But, as the best time to come into the system, predictions can lead someone astray because no one can entire predict right, we just have to do our own personally analysis, invest in the right project and keep it in mind to wait for a very long  to see its result.
