1081  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Etherdelta Token sale, will you buy it? on: January 05, 2018, 04:41:28 PM
they probabliy invest in security. heard about the token sale too but main thing seems they want raise money. not whats bnb for binance.
At least they have done well to have been able to put up a decentralized platform over the years and have been able to prove themselves to have the ability to deliver if they have the funds to do so and also get better by enhancing the platform. It is a good way to really raise money and I do not see anything bad in that. A lot of platform have done that and are still doing it, Etherdelta even makes it worthwhile since it is a platform that has been in existence.
1082  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do we need to gamble? on: January 05, 2018, 02:44:42 PM
Because they think that gambling is the easiest way to earn money.
This is the main reason why people do gamble. Its not really a need or an obligation to play gambling but the urge of greed for money will really make us play no matter what.We do all know that gambling is the way we do see that earning money on easiest way without even worrying on the risk involve on it which it is also the fastest way to lose money if we arent lucky enough. This is why gambling is just really good for entertainment purposes not for money making.
It is really a one million dollar question. The truth is that people gamble for so many different reasons and while some feel they are there to have fun, majority of the gambling population are looking for easy money which they believe they can get with their luck through gambling until they end up seeing that it is the other way round.

It takes a lot of money to keep an online casino running and we sure know the owner of the casinos have the algorithm built more in their favor.
1083  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think you are a gambling expert? on: January 05, 2018, 02:22:18 PM
I just want to know how you feel when you get a big win from the gambling you play, I know that feel is definitely fun.
But, do you feel or ever assume you are a gambling expert after you get a big win?
Then what kind of gambling has made you think of yourself as a gambling expert?

I've never consider myself as a gambling expert even I won a lot of money. Since I believe that in gambling it's not about skills or knowledge but majority in gambling is being lucky. No matter how good you are if it is not destined to be yours then its not.
You are even lucky to have been able to win a lot in gambling. Not everyone gets this chance but one thing I know for sure is that it is all about luck and I guess you were really lucky. There is nothing that makes anyone expert and even though some gambling may require you to have some skills more than your opponents, everything at the end of the day still balls down to what you are holding which totally ends up being a lick.
1084  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Trading vs Gambling on: January 04, 2018, 03:41:57 PM
Just curious since the last discussion I had was about gambling vs trading. I know trading can seem to be a bit of a gamble as well, but I see it a little bit like poker. It's a combination of math and psychology. Maybe not the same ratio though, just generalizing  Tongue

trading is risky , gambling is risky. both of them requires capital but trading does requires a proper knowledge and skill in order for it to be efficient and succesful . trading on the other hand does not need any of those rather than capital in order to start with but overall i believe majority of people ( including me ) are still prefer to do trading because it less riskier and more profitable than gambling. althoguh i still play gambling whenever i have a spare bitcoin in my wallet.

yes, both trading and gambling are risky but if we have a skill in the trading then we can get our money back even if we are lost but in trading, we cannot get our money back if we are lost. we don't like to get lost their money and they really want to make more money and many of us doing trading and gambling at the same time. I am sure that in out there, there are people which doing both and they can make money from both trading and gambling.
I don’t trading is riskier than gambling or has the same risk as involved in gambling. If this is true, then all the people would have been going with gambling instead of trading because it gives you profit at the spot and you don’t have to wait and show patience. If one has sound knowledge of what trading is, I think not only he will recover the amount which he has invested, also he would make good amount of profit from it.
1085  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Neutral Coins to Hold Currency on: January 04, 2018, 08:47:41 AM
Then probably you need fiat (and USD will be the best option) because I can't find any stable cryptocurrencies in the market as you are looking for.
I wonder why you need to convert your money to stable currency, BTW if you find a decline in market of alts like LTC you can choose BTC to keep your funds safe because Bitcoin is now the most reliable cryptocurrency.
Fiat is just the easy way out. Every other crypto will always fluctuate hugely, asides USDT anyway which was made to be another form of USD but in the cryptocurrency form. With that way in some of the exchanges you can just trade against USDT in form of fiats. Whereas in some other exchanges, you can even have the chance to trade against EUR, GBP and the likes.

It is better you just hold the equal version of fiat. In most exchanges like bittrex and poloniex, there is USDT which is the equivalent in dollars and with that one, you can at least be trading against fiat and what you are holding will not really be an issue with fluctuations since it is a controlled environment and the value does not really get above $1.01 at most.
1086  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading Bitcoin and other alts still profitable? on: January 04, 2018, 08:06:59 AM
Basically altcoins are more profitable than bitcoin. Bitcoins are a good investment, but it can't go 100x or 1000 easily in a short timeframe like altcoins can especially those that are sleeping for ages, under the radar and very cheap.
Both are profitable but altcoins can give more profit as the price of bitcoin is more than the altcoins. Altcoins with less price can give more profit buy altcoins more in numbers and then sell the coins as the price varies that will give good profit.
Holding some altcoins has really given me huge profit within just few days than I would have imagined than even trading itself. I am sure a lot of people trade, but not everyone sure have the time and there are just sometimes, that you may make the wrong call and when you are not there to get out of the show, then you may end up accruing huge loss.

With holding, you know this is going to be a long term trade, and you really do not bother much about the fluctuations. Trading though is highly profitable if you have a good strategy and skills to pull it off.
1087  Economy / Economics / Re: what benefits you've got from bitcoin in 2017 on: January 04, 2018, 07:25:17 AM
Lots of benefits in earnings and also with consultancy for investments and hardware related mining setups etc.

In my opinion crypto currencies have literally opened the doors of a new era.
A whole lot from crypto investment. 2017 was really great for me and I can imagine what 2018 is going to hold for me the more. The opportunities that crypto opened was huge for me personally and it seems that each and every day, I keep seeing even more new opportunities that I have not even tapped into and waiting for me to do more research and tap hugely into them. It is a new era indeed for huge profit and that is what I got.
1088  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin's price is getting low on: January 03, 2018, 05:59:39 PM
I think the price is getting low just because they withdraw their money to enjoy the chrismart vacations.
Not just about withdrawal as people withdraw normally every day, but what really happened was because the supply was higher than the demand and that simply made it very obvious as a whole lot of people ended up cashing out more than those who wanted it.

Over the years, we experienced huge demand anyway, so this correction will make the continuation of growth in this new year healthy and at least, we just imagine that we have found a bottom for now.
1089  Economy / Economics / Re: 2018 will be “The Year of the Cryptocurrency Craze”!!!! on: January 03, 2018, 02:12:18 PM
Was 2017 not already the year of the cryptocurrency craze? I mean if 2017 was not that year but 2018, I can't imagine how crazy the mass media and governments will go, since the increase in 2017 has already triggered them so hard.
I totally believe the craze in 2017 was just a start of it all. We had some craze too around 2013, but 2017 capped it up for now and I am sure this year 2018 would even be crazier.

I am still also sure that we should expect some war on bitcoin this year as most governments are really trying to see how they can do the whole thing so as to scare people away but that depends on how investors react to it anyway. This is not the first time things like this will happen.
1090  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IRS taxing cryptocurrency trades starting Jan. 1st. on: January 03, 2018, 07:39:36 AM
Sounds kind of ridiculous and is most likely going to ruin it for part of the americans.
It is going to ruin it one way but I am not sure how this would all end up. It is insane honestly, and I really do not envy the Americans right now. This is also why the whole idea of having decentralized exchanges would make a lot of sense, but this is something that we may not see for now and will just have to live with the attack on the crypto users and just unfortunate US is first.

I guess that this is a reason to start shifting away from US exchanges. No one knows for now but I am sure it is going to get integrated into the exchange fees somehow and until then, we may not know. It is crazy though as this would bring more like an era where trading fee may start being a huge one but let's see. Whichever way though, I am looking forward to how that is going to play out.
1091  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest in cryptocurrency and ICOs? on: January 03, 2018, 03:40:56 AM
if you have large funds and capital and you are careful to choose a good ico I think you should invest in cryptocurrency and ico. because in cryptocurrency will produce a very good profit and also doubled. you should see the positive side.
I have earned a lot from ICOs than I can ever imagine. As long as you know what you are doing and you know how to dig on a project, then you should be fine.

It is just like in the real world, even if you want to invest in a company, you have to understand the strength of the team, the chances of the company being in the spotlight later on and the chances of your investment growing and that to me seems more like something anyone should be able to do before investing.
1092  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: RIPPLE PASSES ETHEREUM!! on: January 03, 2018, 02:53:48 AM
Haha you didn't buy in and your upset at that? I had a bunch of Ripple at 20 cents and sold at a slight loss at about 18 cents. It would have been a sick ride up for me had I held, goes to show the power of holding.
I was in this position too and I really gave up on XRP. I do not regret it anyway as I only wanted to trade it anyway and have some few profits on it as it seems a project that I have never been comfortable with. Nevertheless, it is always good to hold anyway most especially for a coin that you believe in and probably that could have been a reason I failed to hold XRP anyway.
1093  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Another way to earn cryptocurrency on: January 02, 2018, 08:23:51 AM
Online marketting are now becoming one of the well known source of income and I think if workers are to be paid with cryptos and that employment while even at home will become easy I think this will truly help the community to earn good income or have an additional income that will surely helps them financially. Being paid with cryptos or even bitcoin and token that appreciates in time is a good idea I'm many will love to work for that.
Yeah and if you have some good follower base, you can earn a lot. So many crypto startups see most of this social media as a point where they can easily get enough users into their project and that is why a lot of bounty hunters are making a lot of money with their twitter and Facebook account depending on the number of real followers they have.
1094  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: how to predict the market ? on: December 31, 2017, 02:20:12 PM
No one thought that bitcoin cash was going to be pumped again, this is the same game that Roger Ver and his friends have been playing since november.
Dont be scared of that, bitcoin is going to go down again, but in the end it will go up again, so dont need to worry about.

No one really expected it and that was an obvious manipulated pump done by just some group of people and the worst part is that you just keep seeing FOMOs rushing into the game to cash out for profit. Coinbase stated that the whole thing was leaked and the idea was to silently introduce bitcoin cash but the whole thing turned to some people trying to get a lot of profit quickly from the whole thing.
1095  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC 70k end of 2018. on: December 31, 2017, 12:33:48 PM
Unfortunately bitcoin cant go higher on this moment maybe until year 2018.  Cause as i noticed the growth rate of bitcoin keep crashing nowadays i think this scenario is not normal and i have doubts maybe it will never go higher and perhaps this is the end of bitcoin journey i hope not. So lets just keep our finger crossed maybe bitcoin will recover soon.
The end of the year is already close and even at the beginning of 2018; we may still keep seeing some gradual dragging on the sideways before we see a bullish trend to test the previous top. For now, the base is strong enough to keep holding it from going down forward and I really hope it does not.

Also, once the LN is deployed and that resolves the scaling issue to some great extent, then we should expect a huge drive up in price.
1096  Economy / Speculation / Re: Ridiculous BTC Prices Predictions by Experts? on: December 31, 2017, 11:06:48 AM
Some people simply make their predictions without any specific reason. Cannot always trust the words of crypto experts which is why I feel that our own research and predictions are what matter at the end of the day. John Mcafee has been making some pretty optimistic predictions about bitcoin in recent times and I do agree with him in some ways. I do feel that bitcoin has the potential to touch 100k in the next 2 years, but 500k is way too optimistic.

Here's the thing, there is no such thing as a 'bitcoin expert' these people barely know anything about Bitcoin itself, the currency. They may know a tad bit about buying and selling Bitcoin, if they've made the money themselves or if they have just been studying it -- this doesn't make them an expert in the least.

These people are making these claims to make the market more bullish then it is and to make themselves more money. It's all bullshit though.
Most people making predictions are just making it to drive the market while using their position, same with those speculating FUDs. This does not mean anything, as what would occur, ends up happening eventually and there is just no way can anything change it. However, there is no need being too expectant based on what some of those who call themselves expert do say as they know nothing. The best is just to follow the trend and blend in with it.
1097  Economy / Speculation / Re: FUD FUD and more FUD on: December 31, 2017, 09:15:01 AM
When you invite the mass of idiots to invest it is a double edged sword. They are only following the hype and they dont really even know what bitcoin is or how it works. For this same reason they will just as easily invest in whatever else is trending like Ripple and there is no way you will be able to convince them otherwise and you just end up sounding like a pretentious hipster asshole. The future is the government trying to kill crypto by having the media make everyone think something else is bitcoin - something owned by Bank of America that transacts instantly - while quietly passing regulations that make the real Bitcoin harder and harder to use.
I guess that is a war that we will have to expect from bitcoin for now and that is one that is going to be pretty hard to wave off, but I am optimistic it would pass.

It is just unfortunate that we have some gullible fellows who will just take everything thrown at them easily without even making some research and anyone who really wants to invest in XRP can go ahead and I really want to see how all their craziness and the government shenanigans lead to.
1098  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Lucky moments during gambling? on: December 30, 2017, 07:11:54 PM
There are some fools who think they are lucky today, they actually don’t know the fact that no one can control luck. Either it is this day or that one, you don’t have luck with you. This is just a myth.

If someday you are doing fine then the other day too you will be doing well. We need to understand this fact that this doesn’t matter which day it is, luck is just a myth and this do nest work in real time.
Luck sometimes is usually over emphasized when it comes to gambling and the way I see it, even if luck exists, we have just so few of them and once they do their part on you today, they either move to the next person available to take a bit part of it and then if you do not move on, and thinking the next day is going to be like yesterday just as you have said, you get yourself soaked in huge losses like a child under the rain.
1099  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: what impact has gambling make in your life? on: December 30, 2017, 03:10:32 PM
The most significant impact is, I am now so like to sleep midnight. It made me lazy to work tomorrow. More passion to join the gambling table, and bet there.
That is a very bad one mate.
I would not want to judge you but living like that is really something that you would not want to end your life with because If you do not take a good hold of yourself now, you may end up losing yourself totally to gambling and I am sure you know what that means and it would take a whole lot to save yourself from it at the long run.

There is a part of the brain that gambling affects which makes it become an addict, and that is the same part that hard drugs and co stimulate. The thing is that you just have to find a way to control it as that is the only thing that separates someone who gambles for fun and an addicted gambler, and that takes a lot of huge discipline.
1100  Economy / Economics / Re: What do you think about bitcoin interest in the near future? on: December 30, 2017, 02:09:26 PM
Bitcoin would be successful! With its popularity rising up almost every day I can see that it has great potential and it would be utilised well in the future.
It sure will ! Even with what all those economists are saying today which I am sure it is because they are so butt hurt, they cannot imagine how blind they were to miss the great moment and then wish they can do everything to get bitcoin back to that moment which unfortunately for them, they cannot.

The interest is growing hugely each and every day and that is something that would keep making the value of bitcoin to keep rising as it is today. Bitcoin has grown past what no one can imagine and it is still growing, the future is great and that is one thing I am sure of.

The truth is no one can really know how far bitcoin is going to go or how things would end up being in the future, but one sure truth is that bitcoin is a coin with a future that is worth waiting for as so many people here today will be happy they got in later in the future just as those who invested far back in 2010.
