261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥[ANN] [PRESALE] TICKET2LAMBO🔥 on: May 06, 2021, 01:43:56 PM
I went on the website and kept asking myself: who are the team members?

now talking about your project, it seems to me that it is in the gambling category, so why people will want to invest in your project if in each country it is possible for people to buy a lottery ticket, and it has very reliable sites like https: //freebitco.in that has something like this that you want to do?

Do you have 12 Lambo? or are you still planning to buy the 12 Lambo?

They are still planing to buy but if the funds are enough. Say goodbye when the funds aren't enough for 1 lambo.

This is the kind of project that is just named for a reason of luring investors they could have lambo after.  You just won't know where the team is and you won't even see thier site after the bullrun.

262  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Avoid bad projects on: May 05, 2021, 02:25:00 PM

I was also thinkng about just joining a campaign that is just paying btc but there is no position for me so I took a chance of a campaign managed by reputable user, is this enough of a basis?

While we are talking about bad projects, anyone could say this Whale Maker may be a scam?
263  Economy / Economics / Re: COVID advanced the world into the future on: May 05, 2021, 02:07:34 PM
Not just that, more people will get fat when the economy goes back to sub-normal.  Grin Almost everything now can be bought online and processed thru delivery.
The good part, you can also pay thru digital cash applications or bank transfer. That means lesser cash which is being pushed even before the pandemic.
But I have never seen one merchant yet that sells product and accepts cryptocurrencies as payment.
I guess the volatility is still the wall that stops them from accepting it.

Digital cash is very common now. Many of them are competing which is convenient.  Its easy to use since there is no ID verification to it too and with just a phone you don't have to travel to visit a remittance center.

Was also waiting for  a store nearby that will accept BTC or whichever cryptocurrency just to see that at least in my lifetime I could experience paying BTC to a store or maybe a fastfood using my android wallet. And yhen I could say finally its adopted I've waited for years tbat I dont have to fly to Tokyo.

264  Economy / Speculation / Re: CoinDesk editor believes Bitcoin will hit 1 million per coin. on: May 05, 2021, 01:52:15 PM

He isn't the first to have pronounced BTC to be $1M, John Macafee also said it which the guy now had gone mad. Article webzites often writes something for clickbait, they could even write $5M/BTC later.

Their youtube channel sometimes will write titles thats more intriguing but disappoints you in less than a minute of watching.
265  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: adkinsbet.com - offline on: May 05, 2021, 01:41:11 PM
People should learn from by seeing adkinsbet exit scam. Tbh entering in this forum by adkinsbet was very crowd full. And they also started to run signature campaign after coming few days here. later they closed it.

I am talking about this because people start believe to any project which come with more noise are the real one. But we should not trust them blindly. Adkinsbet is another example to make aware the people.

They've easily decieved users and casino players because they were paying BTC when they tried promoting the casino. The scammer somehow figured it because users normally flock and to casino that looks new.

If the accounts used in the campaign weren't caught as bought accounts, they could be still alive scamming more gamblers. Its not going to be the first, this same adkinsbet scammer will likely be back with same style.

266  Economy / Economics / Re: COVID advanced the world into the future on: May 05, 2021, 01:22:58 PM

Covid forces us to adopt working remotely,  school teachers today now has to teache infront of the laptop while the kids watches the teacher speak. Old folks has to learn facebook messenger now to they could talk and see relatives at the same time. Its neccessary to learn how to use gadgets or they are going to die of loneliness.

Easy for them to use the internet now and do onoine transactions too. And its not going to be hard to introduce crypto wallets or CBDC.
267  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how many more years our bitcoins will be save from quantum supercomputer on: May 04, 2021, 10:54:08 AM
When Bitcoin has rises, questions about threats from quantum computers appear. I am not expert and can not make a thesis to prove Bitcoin private keys are safe in many more years.

Experts say it is safe and I believe in them. I think if there are bigger threats from quantum computers, the Bitcoin developers can upgrade the Protocol with consensus from community.

In normal conditions, community can be separated but when threats come, they will reunited and make what needs to be done.

It's part of the shill that gets old already but they keep reviving because it's still working for newbies in Bitcoin. If it would really work, the government could have used it already to destroy Bitcoin market but nope, they sure aren't doing it and that is because it doesn't work.

Bitcoin now is the safe haven of the companies and rich individuals wanting to preserve their wealth, they can't stop it anymore.
268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you guys think about the Old coins? on: May 04, 2021, 10:32:52 AM
Hello Guys,

Coins on top for 2017 like EOS, VET, ZEC, DASH, NANO, XTZ...
Can they compete with existing coins like DOT, LINK, coins on DEfi.

Should I invest in old coins?

These old coins have their own purpose and place in the crypto industry. In addition, over this rather long period of time, they have proven their significance. This is confirmed by their market price.
New crypto coins have the same risks as old ones, however they do not have a positive, time-tested history.

Old coins for sure stood the test of time if they are still actively managed, developed and backed by a lively community. At least you know what you are buying. The coins have a history with good and bad moments and you can tell how the bad moments have been manage as well. Nothing bad about getting some of those older coins.

Old coins are like old technology but since roadmap can be updated, these old coins can stand the test of time and can grow even further because they are already known due to the marketing they've had before.

Some are saying that it's like the old dotcom bubble that netscape and some old social media like myspace are going to be replaced. And so Bitcoin will also be replaced later. As of now it's still the top coins despite the existing sophisticated projects like ETH, EOS, and Polkadot.

269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What goes up must come down on: May 04, 2021, 08:08:21 AM
There is too much leverage and too much potential profits in crypto space today which makes me feel like I'm reliving the 2017/2018 era once again, forget the big institutions investing money on crypto, those who bought at 4000$ per BTC are already millionaires/billionaires, you can't expect them not to take profit, be prepared
Definitely what's goes up most surely come down, really I agreed with you op, looking at the situation onground it's a different that the year 2017/2018 is very different currently now than initial, crypt network is going up everytime and also changing  like educational field which changes policy always, when cryptocurrency started it was extremely  small in value but today is over larger in price which in next two years it will be more than the current values.

I also believe the adoption like what Paypal did is not going to make the market drop as low as $3K again. Yes, it's true that everything that goes up must come down so why didn't BTC goes down to zero back in 2018?  Paypal and Visa weren't involved in crypto yet during that time but the price didn't go all the way to zero.

Everyone could take profit, Elon had also dumped for profit. He is not very different from institutional investors but it's very certain that we are still in the very early stage of cryptocurrency adoption.

270  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What will happen after all bitcoin are mined on: May 04, 2021, 01:48:52 AM
We cannot be sure that the American government or a large corporation will not take control of the Bitcoin ecosystem.
If this happened there will be massive propaganda against it. People love bitcoin and cryptocurrency due to their decentralized approach hence for Bitcoin actually. If someone just wanted to jeopardise this Satoshi vision I think majority will not agree or will make a way to stop this ever happening.

Im also curious what would be the effect when bitcoin all mined. Nice reads from you guys. Very informative statement and opinions.

As long as there will be people using BTC, there will be miners mining for transaction fees, they could still make money out of it. There will be attempts to take control but if they succeed everybody will sell their coins, what benefit would that do to them?

I'm still unsure what would happen though. But then I'm not going to be around anymore when the time comes all Bitcoins are mined.
271  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Cardano overthrow Ethereum? on: May 04, 2021, 12:54:32 AM
ADA is not better than ETH but its got better distribution to which I think is more important and its cheaper, for now, that gives you an opportunity. Anyone right now could still buy and stake and its getting more contract from the governments in Africa as they were hyping.

The one that is very impressive in ADA is their Oroborous consensus protocol because it's fairer than ETH and probably the rest of the platform projects like DOT and so on. It gives a better platform for all and I've interoperability is easier.
272  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin season ending in may ? on: May 03, 2021, 10:26:37 PM
Dear all

Now alt season started. Lot of coins specially 2018 ath coins now going for new ath. You can see xrp is moving like roket.

2018 how long alt season survived ?

I am currently holding aion coin. Its really blulish at the momement.

Experiemce tell me , when this alt season going to over  may or june ?

I also have observations and judgments that this altcoin session will end in June. because there are many bitcoins that have found their newest Ath in the past. and now it's starting to see a decline in some altcoins like Doge. I'm sure Dogecoin will drop back in the near future. and there will be a lot of altcoins going down again

It doesn't look like its going to end yet. If you look at ETH right now, you could only figure investors are buying ETH and DOGE and whichever coin possibly they could buy to store their money.  It had to do with the pandemic that still spread fear because the virus keeps mutating.

We are not going out of the woods because the recession is getting worse and inflation will make people buy higher prices of food and materials needed. This is almost end of days.

273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchange tokens all the way on: May 03, 2021, 09:35:44 AM
It's a good time to take some risk with exchange tokens, remember that exchanges tokens are more capable too when bull is alive, last month WazirX, a crypto exchange project that no one is talking about was at 0.08$ and now it's 4$, some are already underestimating ToKOcrypto, another exchange token from binance again, though this isn't a financial advice but how can we change our lives for good if we don't take some risks?
Indeed exchange token shows very promising development progress especially in terms of its market value and market cap such for example BNB that is why I am hodling some exchange token such KCS, CRO and GT.
I'm not familiar with CRO and GT but I have some KCS. I have been holding it for a while, and I will not sell until it will value $100 each. It may sound ambitious but look at how progressive BNB is, and this market is getting bigger and it cannot be all the time that BNB will get the biggest share of the market, its dominance will also drop.

I took a chance to buy some CRO which I got about 2K of it just when the price was $0.15 it's not really that big of an investment, it's more than 5 months already that I bought them and the price still on its range. It never grew at all.

That was the time when we still could withdraw tokens on Crypto.com without having to submit KYC data to which I have withdrawn some VET. Now I can't withdraw my CRO without having to submit KYC. I fuckup that chance. That exchange will ask your data even when you just plan to withdraw less than a BTC.

274  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bank & Government Crypto on: May 03, 2021, 09:22:51 AM
Some countries like china, Cambodia and the Bahamas has launched their own digital currencies. Yet Bitcoin still isn't manipulated. Although we are yet  expecting more countries to launch their own digital currency I believe before that said time we would know if Bitcoin could be manipulative or not. But considering it's decentralized nature I believe since it can't be a stable coin government policies wouldn't be able to affect it's value

Surprising to learn Cambodia had done it already. Pretty sure governments and banks are not going to create cryptocurrency that prices will be determined by the market, that's not how they want it.

The Chinese government had already said BTC can be treated as an investment which could change things eventually if they allow Chinese to invest in BTC and could they use the CBDC backed digital Yuan. So if they do, they are all going to harvest BTC from the market.
275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Warning to MetaMask users . on: May 03, 2021, 08:27:23 AM
The main victim of this scam will be the newbies who just landed into cryptoworld and have only a little idea on where they are into. And I would feel too bad for them if they fall into it. But thanks to this heads up, at least some will be aware about this scam.

Those new to crypto are often going to also send their private keys if they are not aware. Even if it's the official metamask support, they should be aware that PK is not meant to send to anyone. Not that I admire it, I hate scammers but some of their strategies are becoming very creative.

Metamask shouldn't just be there on twitter but also warn users on reddit and here on bitcointalk since this is the biggest crypto community.
276  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: adkinsbet.com - offline on: May 03, 2021, 08:10:43 AM

Ok, didnt know that.
But still, those accounts should get banned from bitcointalk as they participated in promoting adkinsbet's scam.
I think they should too, but scams aren't moderated, so them being banned because of it is out of the question. besides all the accounts involved in advertising the gambling site have received negative tags and now it will be the individual's responsibility to check and whether to believe them or not.

All the paid users/sacmmers here that promoted adkinsbet now promote JangaCams.com.

So obviously this is the next scam, be aware.

Those accounts are obviously now owned by the scammers, I think all of them deserve a tag so that it won't be used again for scamming. Tagging them is all that can be done though. Made them a very obvious scam when their signatures also changed to JangaCams and their website now redirected to coins777.com which was also reported as scam.

277  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You could die from trading. on: May 02, 2021, 11:50:56 PM
One example

--> https://www.forbes.com/sites/sergeiklebnikov/2020/06/17/20-year-old-robinhood-customer-dies-by-suicide-after-seeing-a-730000-negative-balance/

This is the feeling when someone losses a lot or all of his assets. But this incident is clearly the fault of Robinhood.

OH my G... 730, 000$ is not a joke amount of money actually. If I'm gonna convert it here into my place I think my first up to 3rd generations can live happily ever after for sure with that huge amount. Probably, that young person who died because of the Robinhood probably, its depression and stress triggered Him I think. So sad, that is why in trading here in cryptocurrency need to have a proper control of our
emotions when we do trade.

It's got to be the biggest loss of a 20-year-old and can't blame him for ending his life, we just couldn't learn what's on his head.
That's just one instance of why you could die from trading.

It's hard to avoid trading when you are in crypto, you tend to learn all these in the end and trading could be addictive.
The emotional stress you get from losing money to spending hours while not really earning enough. It doesn't have to be difficult if you just hold and do the usual thing you did before learning BTC.

279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Cardano (ADA): A New Cryptocurrency and More on: April 30, 2021, 09:21:27 AM

I have a Shelley wallet that I have installed for a long time I think it's 3.XX version. Its not updated since so my question, what sort of things are in the new one?

As I got it you speak about  one year old Daedalus. If it is so, then your old wallet lacks the most important feature added around three months ago. Newest versions of  Daedalus have added support to hardware wallets like Ledger nano and such. Generally speaking, since 4.0.3 wallets created by Daedalus  became multi-asset ones  because they support native tokens other than ADA itself.

It also generating new addresses to which I tried sending ADA to the newly generated address, I received it and all in all, I got the tokens added to the previous wallet which I have been staking for almost a year. I only need the 15 words(mnemonic) for the two addresses since its just one Shelley wallet I created, is this right?
.

Frankly, I don't get this part. Shelley wallet requires 24-words SEED. 15 words(mnemonic) was relevant to Reward wallet. Please, check and make your question  clear.

I actually have Yoroi which I have staked my ADA there for some time already. The previous version of Yoroi generates a new address every time you have already used the first address. And since I have sent another batch of ADA to this wallet using the newly generated address, it's been added to the old which I get the total amount of tokens staked.

I was confused why I didn't get the private keys or seeds to this newly generated ADA address. I guess the previous seed of this Shelley wallet applies to it?

280  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: RUMOUR: Facebook will announce they hold #Bitcoin on: April 30, 2021, 04:53:15 AM
Is been 3days now, the rumour is yet to be confirmed. Facebook announcing that they have bitcoin on their balance sheet would be a positive news but not the final good news as smart people over the world have decide to taking destiny in their hands by simply holding bitcoin against the government and capitalist advise.

There is nothing to confirm because Facebook isn't announcing anything. This is a big company like Microsoft that is being used by the government to watch over its people, Mark is not going to grill himself for announcing he has BTC even if he has some. Facebook prefers to create its own coin though.

Facebook will likely respond yes they have Dogecoin is Alistair spread such rumor about Facebook.
