941  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: FOMO In Crypto; How to identify It on: June 21, 2020, 06:13:27 AM
FOMO is very bad if you enter late or near the peak of the price ...
Just like those who bought Ripple at ATH of $3+. I bet they still regret it till date because we don't know when or if Ripple will ever recover to that level again. Well, this isn't to take anything away from FOMO and the good side of it. I have been caught in it too, on the wrong side . But I think am wiser now unlike the newbie days. From hindsight I have come to know that the best move is - buy only into coins with utility even if they aren't hyped and be ready to sell off once other traders begin to rush in.
This doesnt only limit out with Ripple but in all coins that do reach up into their ATH wayback in 2017 and to those people who do bought coins into those peak times then

they do still end up on holding as of this moment or the worst they do panic sell and even repeat to buy on lower price but not actually on the bottom point which do end up

on the same scenario just because they do believe that they can retreive or break even on what they have lost.FOMO is hard to detect out since price can shoot up without stopping

into a known point thats why its wise to sell out when you are already on profits, dont ask for more!

It can probably be seen where the peak is by watching the BTC/USD market itself. Once it's not trying to break another resistance for more than a week its a sign that the price could also drop. RSI overbought level will be seen.

Its harder to identify the peak of its price when its just recently listed to exchanges. And I think the FOMO for this COMPOUND coin is high and you can understand the reason behind its tech.

942  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: So many new cryptocurrency exchange now, Are they safe to trade? on: June 20, 2020, 09:01:23 PM

It is somehow true when they say none of the exchange is safe. There are lots of things that can happen when you trade your coins not necessarily that the exchange will shut down all of a sudden with your coins on their wallets. Some were hacked like Gox.

No, no new crypto exchange is safe now, it's an advise to stick to old exchange like Bittrex, Kucoin, Okex, Hitbtc and many more old exchanges.
Many new exchanges nowadays are full of scammers, exercising low and unexecution of trade orders. Exchanges like exmarkets, p2pb2b, and numerous new exchanges, they have nothing to offer to users persuading users to sign up for bonus that can be withdrawn. New exchanges aren't best now.

Even that old ones can one day snap and take all your coins with them. One exchange that I still used today despite the accusations is yobit and its still not mandatory to send my documents to them. Its still good to use.
943  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How is the HALVING working out for you ??? Remember all the predictions ???? on: June 20, 2020, 08:06:26 PM
Whatever happens to the prices in the future, it's still not going to be a stable price and if it hits the ATH again we could still say the bubble will pop once again like what happened in 2018. The current price is still $9k, that bubble didn't completely pop.

It may ve hard for you to believe but PETER SCHIFF failed and JP morgan already is on Bitcoin's side.
Predictions are all predictions. If someone up there says Bitcoin is going ZERO it also means they failed to predict it right.
944  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why we should never trust anyone for being the real Satoshi. on: June 20, 2020, 07:24:24 PM

50 years later when we are all dead, the people behind Craig Wright may just e successful in brainwashing everyone that indeed he is satoshi just as how Thomas Edison claimed things when it was Nikola Tesla was the first to have introduced the great technology before him.

The proof that satoshi had been here in the forum might all be gone including this forum if not protected from the people behind Craig. 100 years more, the name satoshi may not exist but only Craig Wright because history is created by those who are consistent, and by then they can already patent Bitcoin and blockchain.
945  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Not all new project team can afford top exchanges on: June 19, 2020, 03:49:41 PM
can be said that the reputation of the ICO has been bad, most investors are currently reluctant to invest in ICO again for several reasons including the risk of losing money in the ICO. but I think the presence of IEO slightly reduces the risk of fraud and is good for IEO who can do funding at the top exchanges like Binance or Okex.
IEO is only good when it is held by the leading exchanges in this market. If you participate in IEO of small exchanges in this market such as Probit, Hotbit, chainx ... Then I believe it will be like ICOs, the price will fall hundreds of times and make you lose.
True! I don't trust to invest in any ICO projects at all! I may take a look if IEO projects are held by leading exchanges. However, in the near future, I don't have a plan to invest in any IEO projects yet. Most of ICO and IEO projects are scammed or trash projects that just take away our time and money.
Investing in ICOs and IEOs at the moment is stupid, You can buy them for a lot cheaper after they are listed at exchanges. At the moment, you should only invest in top altcoins in this market, it is much safer than ICOs and IEOs.

Investors are actually going to be investing if they see the project worth investing in.  A week ago many investors are grabbing Oikos token in hoo.com exchange as they did an IEO there. Although the price of BTC isn't going up, traders are up to invest a lot of projects in crypto. The Chinese are more aggressive in investing in their exchanges and this is why more Chinese exchanges are suddenly coming out from the shadows.
946  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: United States Bitcoin Fugitive Arrested in Indonesia for Sex Charges Under FBI on: June 19, 2020, 01:46:16 PM
He wasn't caught because of the scam but because he paid kids to have sex with and then later after he was identified involved in ponzi scheme that mounts to $722M. Unfortunately the amount of money he has didn't make him smart still. Now has to face the consequences, jail time wouldn't be enough for having sex with minors.

Its still unsure if the investors can still claim their coins back, I doubt there will be transparency to the investigation.  Some Indonesian officers are also corrupt so its not surprising to know if they are interested to the coins.
947  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What should replace comps with Brick n mortar casinos in online casinos? on: June 18, 2020, 06:11:29 PM

That would be for users who are comfortable sharing their data to the casino, its like submitting KYC and fact that they can pay visit to you makes it more dangerous. They could provide options like free slot spin as comps after you deposit some BTC.

Deliveries are usually going to be exploited even Uber can be used to deliver drugs. The possibilities are limitless if casinos provide delivery services.
948  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The most searched cryptocurrencies on Google on: June 18, 2020, 02:55:50 PM

We couldn't find the percentage of who searches for EOS is because those who already knew EOS doesn't search it on google.

The people who search on google are the ones who don't yet know BTC not those in the list like Litecoin, Monero, Tron, and Cardano. If you already know all these tokens, you wouldn't be searching for them on google.
949  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ETERBASE: Europe's Premier Digital Asset Exchange on: June 17, 2020, 11:56:59 PM
Do you talk about regular pre.ico bounty, or about tokens promised for promoting in telegram group, that was not fulfilled for anyone?
Yes.Because I joined a bounty campaign. and until now there is no clarity. above I explained that the Team from Eterbase did not want to pay the participants. Some have received payment and in fact still haven't gotten it at all.

The distribution was already done long time ago to the eterbase accounts. If you haven't got your tokens, maybe BM missed your xbase address.
You probably missed registration.  There is a mandatory registration during the campaign because every month as the campaign restarts, the participants have to register once again to the spreadsheet to be part of it. If you are one of those who forgot to do register every month, you may have missed it.

I checked your name in June and July spreadsheet, I didn't see you.
950  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: PAGCOR waiting for the approval to reopen land-based casinos. on: June 16, 2020, 10:48:21 PM
Its better than have nothing at all.If vaccine would be created then it would really be already treated out just like some contagious disease that we do know know like TB,HEPA and other similar.
At least we do know that theres cure behind. As time pass by this would really be part of the new normal. It might spread but it can be controlled since theres already a vaccine which most of us
are hoping for it to be available soon.
Vaccine will prevent the spread because if all people will get vaccinated, they won't be infected with the virus anymore even if the virus still exist.
The virus has already been circulating around the world, we can't see them so we can't defeat them but a vaccine would be our protection and we will get back to our normal lives as long as the vaccine is release, we are in new normal now, but that time we will be back to normal.
The question is, would the vaccine be cheap or can be attained/purchased by an average earner/ ordinary citizen? I have the doubts

that it wont really be that cheap.Lets hope that i would be wrong into that presumption and what matter most here is that vaccine should really be made asap

but for now, we should handle up things via our own discipline,

It should be, the government has to subsidize because this is pandemic where everyone could be a carrier.
The demand is worldwide therefore I don't expect it to be expensive, and it's need rather than a want, so pharma companies can't make a monopoly on this.

Can't say they will cooperate with it. They'd be creating two or maybe even more vaccines one for the most potent which will be a lot expensive and the cheaper for those not very effective. The most corrupt companies are these pharms who will prevent just about anything and will allow deaths of millions just for them to profit. Right now its the medicine that is still very expensive these days.

In the Philippines, even if you just have flu, they will isolate you and will be subject to be swabbed for Covid testing and has to pay for it before you'd be released from the hospital.

951  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Future of Crytopcurrency on: June 16, 2020, 10:15:34 PM
I am positive, so yes cryptocurrency is the future, or should I say it will surely in exist the future. In fact, some countries like China are already developing their own digital currency to be precise they are tokenizing their national currency. But due to COVID crisis there are some delays in that development but I guess it will be coming soon. I know it has centralized nature because it controlled by the government but still it is a cryptocurrency it gives positive views on people.

I've read in the article site, there is also digital dollar. This is besides what we are using as stablecoins today, this digital dollar must be for the people in US to regularly use everyday. If the news is true, the adoption of crypto might just be a click away. The covid pandemic somehow had made some positive sides with regards to cashless transactions.
952  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: June 15, 2020, 08:27:19 PM
Now that this event is over we can move on to Jun 20th UFC on ESPN: Blaydes vs. Volkov

Another girls out night  Grin 4/12 fights are women.

Interested to see Clay Guida vs Bobby Green fight. Clay has been in UFC and MMA for such a long time, so I thought he had already retired. Checked his profile, and he is only 38 years old. There is so much more time for him to fight Cheesy

More and more of them in every event these days, it normally just one match in the past years. I'm uninterested to bet with them unless they have proven to be masculine like Nunes or that Chinese Chang.

~
Maybe he is so called "gate keeper" of his division? Take a look on his record, win/lose/win/lose/win/etc. He seems like a fighter to fill the card. And look looks interesting to spectators. He is like a wild man from the cave. I think these are the reasons why Dana keep him.
Clay Guida is always a wild card and he could have retired but he is always a tough fight for anyone and he has wins over some of the top fighters in the past including Josh Thomson, Nate Diaz, Rafael dos Anjos, Takanori Gomi and Anthony Pettis in their prime and he never goes out without a fight and so is the reason he is still fighting in the UFC as Dana White always like fighters who always bring the fight rather than having a boring fight.

Clay Guida is still alive. HE isn't just always the wild card but also the wildest fighter. Strong chin but this guy doesn't seem to look at his opponent when fighting. I've seen him since 2008 if I remember, rarely win but shows an entertaining fight.
953  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Not all new project team can afford top exchanges on: June 15, 2020, 07:48:45 PM

Bithumb, Hotbit and Hoo exchange is listing projects without a fee but these are tokens that are considered with good potential and have increasing trading volume. It will be added to top exchanges if binance or Okex sees big profit when they are added.

To have a good number of investors the project doesn't just need to be listed on top exchanges but the project must have an innovative concept and not just because they said it is innovative while its obviously just a copy.
954  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: FOMO In Crypto; How to identify It on: June 14, 2020, 10:08:42 AM

When several users get to shill for a project sometimes it triggers FOMO to it and when the price slowly goes up, users are just looking for reasons why that they check the twitter posts of the project for there could be something.

Maybe driven by greed, some will just buy when they see its price climbing up. If you are going to be doing this, you should also be dumping when you see prices begin declining too and look for a pump and dump groups.
955  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: List of P2P/no-KYC exchanges on: June 14, 2020, 05:48:20 AM

Bitshares DEX [No KYC] (Launched, July 2014)
https://wallet.bitshares.org

I was assuming you are registered back 2016 or maybe older. But not.  Grin

Bitshares is one of the oldest dex, the trouble in using this one is that their bitUSD isn't exactly working as a stablecoin. I don't see many people shilling for it anymore unlike back 2016 where the listing of coins is still announced in the forum. They are probably more discreet today so concern of their privacy that they even avoid posting with their real account.

Surprisingly, Bitshares still is on top hundred of the rank with $6,591,326 in 24hour volume.
956  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can i start forex with no risk of money? on: June 13, 2020, 04:01:04 PM

Forex brokers provide demo accounts for traders so that should be a good way of not losing money while trying to learn to trade. Trading in Forex is almost the same with cryptocurrencies, they all deal with currencies but with FOREX everything is stable. The prices are not fluctuating up to thousands but don't think its safe because FOREX has a way to blow up your loss and glorify your profit as well through the leverage.

The benefit of learning with the forex market is that the indicators in this market are taught well by its users in their forum. You can find a lot of video tutorials too for FOREX.

957  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Extortion Attempt on: June 13, 2020, 02:53:44 PM

We'd probably see more of extortions soon especially because some of the ICO websites back in the days did have our information with them which some of us have sent data for the KYC.  With no jobs and source of income, people may try different kinds of extortion to anyone some may just be fishing for what you could have done in the past and if you believe to it, you might be sending your a years food supply to them. Be careful let's just leave these scambags starve to death.
958  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How I made 1 BTC in 4 mth on ViteX on: June 13, 2020, 02:33:19 PM
The 2nd and 3rd bullets are just the same sentences. It's confusing with this Vite and VX, I thought that these two tokens are one but it seems to be not. If this is a real story then that's really an interesting trading journey you've got. I have heard of this trade-mining before so I understand how it works. However, whenever someone speaks for an exchange like this, you'll be suspected that you're advertising the platform.

Here you have mentioned here that you have made 1 BTC just in 4 months from the Vitex exchange which is a complete decentralized and the investors are the real owner of this exchange who have VX coin in their wallet. They are receiving the divided from the profit made by this exchange. But the real thing is how much VX that you had in your account that gave you this much of earning and another thing is that how you earned the VX coin? So, explain about this briefly.
I'm also confused with the balances of his VX above.

I have no idea how much his VX is but he is probably a trader and no dependent to VX dividends.

Its not his balance of VX that he is showing there. Its just the pool, try visiting there https://vitex.net/  and below the page is where the data within the day.

As of this moment,
Today's Minable VX = 41351.91 VX
Total Mined VX = 7655109.57 VX
Staked = 7046103.40 VX
Trading as Mining Total Income 24811.15 VX

All these data are for this date alone. Last updated on 6/13. This is actually a very transparent exchange. And I'm one of the user who shills for this if you shall call it to shill especially in this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5180421.msg54332468#msg54332468

Today you can also see how much Daily Dividend Pool = 31.74011641 BTC | Cumulative Distributed Value = 63.96812180 BTC all these data are shown without you logged in.

Enough to say OP is a shill account. But it doesn't look like its a scam exchange. At first I wonder there are two websites .org and .net.
Website full of documentation, this is where you'll learn the VITE is listed in binance, the .net is the actual exchange. Which coin are you suggesting for us to stake VITE or VX?

https://vitex.net/faq
Quote
The daily release of VX begins to decline after March 6, 2020.

How much VX is released these days?

VITE is in Binance.com. https://www.binance.com/en/trade/VITE_BTC

If I have to choose for you, stake VITE. Staking VITE means you are mining VX coin which is what you need to also receive dividends daily comprised of transaction and listing fees.  If you don't wanna submit KYC to exchange, this is one of the DEX which somehow has volume. I can't huge volume but its growing over time.
959  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Blockchain? on: June 12, 2020, 08:10:30 PM

What the people above me are saying is that Blockchain can work without Bitcoin nor any other currency. It doesn't need to have a currency to work, there are projects that only use blockchain as part of saving information as database. There was a project which is about an electoral system which is using blockchain to process all data and counting.
960  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Any DEX to exchange USDT/DAI/USDC/TUSD to BTC? on: June 11, 2020, 08:35:53 PM

In EOS DEX there is what we call tokenbridge where we can instantly swap BTC to the EOS tokens. This is quite like what is explain why there is the need for swapping because BTC confirmation takes longer than tokens on the same platform. Its faster to trade BTC/ALTCOINS on CEX since CEX does have the blockchain of BTC within it.
