1241  Economy / Economics / Re: World Economy and war situation and crypto on: January 06, 2020, 05:15:14 PM

If the localbitcoin price goes up to $24K, BTC must go up too when there is war.

Everyone thinks that there will be a war but I doubt that will happen, there is already a lot of civil wars going around in middle east as it is and USA getting troops there would change the facts so much that I doubt those nations would allow USA to destabilize those regions that easily.

Iraq just passed a bill for example kicking out all USA military, not that USA will care but at least the longer they stay there would mean the longer they are doing that illegally already, so they are having trouble with troops they already have and I doubt they would risk by putting up more soldiers in a place that wants less let alone same number. However, if there was a war, it would benefit crypto which we wouldn't want, we don't want crypto to be loved "that" way anymore.

They should have done that long before countries were ruined because of US invading the middle east countries. The war might just escalate since Iran put a hit to Trump worth $80M, I'm not sure how they are going to pay but probably worth $80M worth of BTC. You can look it up on google since I only see that news on facebook feed. I believe its true. I'm still hopeful the war will not happen and I hope US military will not bomb themselves to make it look like they have the reason to shoot.
1242  Economy / Economics / Re: Stable coins massive development and USA dollar on: January 06, 2020, 04:39:30 PM
If they Plan to kill and drop the USA dollar then why they work with so many USA dollar based stable coins like usdc thether and pax....

Stablecoins haven't got any plans to kill the USD. Neither have normal cryptocurrencies.

The aim of stablecoins is to surf on the popularity of the USD and to pretend that their coin is just the digital version of the USD.

As soon as the Americans create their own digital version of the USD, stablecoins will all die.

Im not asking about crypto Killing USA dollar
The topic was about Global elite Plan to destroy USA dollar but the Same the elite is develope stable coins together with instutions like circle and so

Topic was about if the rumours as they Want to destroy USA dollar... Then why they work so much with develope the stablecoins USA dollar coins

Thts is topic about...

Who are these Global elite?

Its not going to be destroyed what ever they are going to do if there really is a plan. But I think by creating a new standard and not honoring USD will bring that plan to life but not destroy it.  If by chance in the next 100 years China dominates and continues to be an economic giant, YUAN will probably replace USD as the global currency.  Digital Yuan rather
1243  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin pumping because of Tesla boy? on: January 06, 2020, 04:17:38 PM

I can not see any connection about the price pumps these days to Elon Musk.

People knew he had invested to BTC because he once announced it. If he will later announce that the company only accepts BTC for the new cars I think we will be seeing more people going into BTC.  Would like to see this and see collectors come to buy the car and help the crypto economy.
1244  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You the local Bitcoin joke in town? on: January 06, 2020, 03:23:17 PM

It hard for someone like me not to talk about BTC with friends since I have already told them long time ago I was into BTC. I have some BTC stickers stocked to my guitar and some of my personal things, its horrible.  When an old crush asked me what I do for a living I talked about BTC lol now they are still thinking if I'm into drugs and did I lose money because of BTC scam. I feel ashamed that I told a husband of my friend to invest in BTC last 2017, the husband could have lost a lot of money if he did what I told.
1245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Justin Sun dump 33 billion TRX on New Year's Day? on: January 06, 2020, 02:46:14 PM
I'm not a TRX holder, but it doesn't make sense for Justin Sun to dump 33 billion worth of TRX. And I think he already confirmed it here:

Quote
The CEO of the TRON Foundation, Justin Sun, has revealed via a livestream that the organization will not sell the 33 billion TRX tokens, worth over $400 million, on the market and plans to keep them.

https://www.cryptoglobe.com/latest/2020/01/tron-foundation-won-t-sell-its-33-billion-trx-justin-sun-says/

See, it will just create chaos for them, so it won't be good in the long run. Perhaps this is just to create FUD around TRX and it's good that Justin step up and confirmed that there will be no selling.

This thread should be lock by the OP.

Justin conveniently wait til the price drop before announcing they will not sell.
Someone should ask how long will they keep the TRX worth $400M because certainly this issue will not even end until its been locked again. There wouldn't be a purpose of unlocking it  if its just going to lie around there like waiting to be activated and dumped.
1246  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Silk Road Case: The Real, Untold Story. Is Karpeles Satoshi or DPR? on: January 05, 2020, 07:50:35 PM

Karpeles edited the post and make it look as if altoid posted the email which means Karpeles own bitcointalk and possibly Satoshi. April fool is months later. I know people want Ross out, the sentence for life is not fair but he was caught in the act logged to SR. Feel sorry for him but I will try watching the documentary today.
1247  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to read trading charts? on: January 05, 2020, 07:01:30 PM

Start by learning one simple indicator like RSI and once you knew how this indicator give you signals, then learn another indicator that will support the signal of the RSI like the Stoch RSI or the MACD. There are actually trading trading systems that you can follow such as the crossing of the moving averages.

I find this thread valuable of information. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5212144.0
His website provide a trading system you can follow, you don't have to buy his indicators, here is the link http://indicator.vip/
1248  Economy / Economics / Re: Reflections from a journalist of a Year of Toying With Bitcoin on: January 05, 2020, 06:38:27 PM

She had written countless articles in coindesk some are related to altcoins yet her conclusion was its not ready for mainstream.
I can agree though but this technology is only 10 years old, you can't imagine how much it had branched out in terms of innovation particularly to altcoins and some wallets for the convenience. She could just use the electrum wallet and if she wants to get paid then there is QR code available. She doesn't have to experiment with LN.
1249  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Manhattan U.S. Attorney Announces Arrest Of United States Citizen For Assisting on: January 05, 2020, 05:59:20 PM

While banks are regularly laundering money were not sanctioned to such crime. They prosecute Griffith for simply teaching which isn't even proven yet.
Obviously Griffith is going to be face big players which will probably landed him to jail for life.

I think the guy was noble for wanting to teach others, especially within a country like Korea but really he didn't practice his due diligence and is now facing the harshest of consequences. North Korea has a lot of smoke with the U.S, mainly because of all of the threats they have made to wipe it out. This guy Virgil is extremely lucky that he isn't being tried for treason or worse. He could at least have went to contact Dennis Rodman for help first, they literally love Rodman over there more than Michael Jordan as weird as it may sound.

If they are going to make this crime so big, they can charge treason. He was warned before he flew there.
1250  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Hypocrisy Behind Facebook Banning Crypto Ads on: January 05, 2020, 05:41:29 PM

We all know the social media site violated privacy act to which they paid billions for it. If they are up to regain those billions they paid, its creating their own coin that will surely make them more money while also running a surveillance network. So the first action to be taken is to ban crypto and then advertise their own coin. In Mark's mind, its a brilliant idea.
1251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Next big thing in crypto? on: January 04, 2020, 10:02:05 AM
I am still waiting and hoping for more businesses that would integrate cryptocurrency in their accepted payment already. This would happen more easily if transaction speed would be increased significantly and the fees would also be decreased significantly. This would encourage not just the businessmen to integrate crypto in their business but also the consumer to spend them in their purchases.

More companies will do accept crypto not just BTC. We are all expecting because its not just BTC that is recognized already so are some altcoins. The adoption is very gradual we almost can't feel it. Decentralization will also improve that wallets with decentralize exchanges such as IEDOO and the likes will probably nourish as well, there are several of these such as the blocknet and the likes.

But here's the question, if the market goes bullish and altcoins are pumping, do you think when there is an ICO, people are still going to invest?

personally I believe they will not because there an IEO already but I like to hear yours.

Very interesting question.

My answer would be no, in general. People have seen enough of ICOs to realize that the majority of them are simply ploys to make money for the founders and once they do, the founders will abandon the project one way or another and move onto the next one potentially even under a different name.

That said, there is potential for ICOs in the form of angel investments to thrive in 2020 with the institutional space more mature and willing to invest. However, the criteria is obviously much higher and genuine development needs to be seen for anyone to be willing to invest. It won't be as easy as 2017.

People will invest when projects are obviously up and running. One example of this is the Telegram ICO which they gathered about $1.7B. You may not see another project that will collect that much during ICO but probably if big companies are going to release a token.  DAICOs would probably be the future when it comes to team asking for fundings, Vitalik explained it here https://ethresear.ch/t/explanation-of-daicos/465
1253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Banks are bullish on crypto on: January 04, 2020, 07:52:28 AM
Actually banks don't like the presence of cryptocurrency, but because cryptocurrency has a blockchain technology that can store every transaction that can be seen easily and safely, so they want to adopt this technology, it might seem easy for banks to adopt cryptocurrency by making a stable currency, but banks will always comply with the regulations of each government where the bank is located, this situation makes it difficult for mass adoption
https://www.prnewswire.com/in/news-releases/bca-brings-blockchain-technology-into-indonesia-s-prestigious-digital-economy-market-840913540.html

Of course they don't like decentralization. Its going to take them out of the picture and this is why they only supported blockchain technology for their stablecoin. These stablecoins are going to be the ones backed by government which is the digital fiat. Its taking so long for them to release though, I have been hearing these for months like the China's digital yuan and France digital currency.

I'm finding this XRP to be in the middle and were to be used by banks according to the team.
1254  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sending Bitcoin over Bluetooth? on: January 04, 2020, 07:34:07 AM
According to the post below, its possible to use this near-field communication which is almost like bluetooth.

I wouldn't use this to send BTC unless there is no other way though. Internet can easily be accessed today because every corners today has signs of free wi-fi.

Airbitz wallet is one of the well-known have Bluetooth features to send and receive Bitcoin but it is only for Apple devices.
Look at this old article from here https://edge.app/blog/bitcoin-nfc-tap-to-pay/

It was implemented in 2014 and the Airbitz wallet is rebranding to Edge wallet which is one of the recommended wallets from bitcoin.org.

However, the only problem of using Bluetooth your device might become at risk to any viruses and your wallet might potentially vulnerable this is a well-known issue on using Bluetooth.

Read this well-known Bluetooth virus before that may affect your crypto wallet: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2172056.0

I think that the transfer of Bitcoins via Bluetooth is not very convenient and may not even be completely safe. It is much better to use a QR code scanner. It is very convenient and much safer.

True. You are making transaction through mobile device so why not instead QR code, that's easy.

1255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Now that we are in 2020 on: January 04, 2020, 06:28:14 AM
IEO was effective in collecting KYC from investors of altcoins. During ICO days the teams are collecting KYC data from investors but then someone from the above thinks it must be exchanges who shall take these information. I really thin the ones we should be doing this year is to avoid all these centralized exchanges and put more volume to the DEX.
1256  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CHANGE MY MIND: YouTube Did the Right Thing by Booting Crypto "Influencers" on: January 03, 2020, 03:36:45 PM

They claim to be social media influencer and their job often times is to promote a project to the youtube community, the people who browse youtube though are converted into crypto users after seeing some tips to get rich but the altcoins they promote turned scam. These social media infliuers are not traders probably have learn few indicators and some trading bot creator and trading platform hired them to promote the business.

But they said that some videos about crypto and blockchain that just shows discussion and also give lessons got deleted. So that's unfair for those who just make educational content. Cause if they were really scammers, people who followed them should have already reported it. That's part of youtube's terms and conditions.
Not all crypto account in YouTube are trying to scam people though

No they are not scam but the business they promoted can scam people. Felt bad about the youtube channels that I've followed though.
1257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Beware of browsers add-ons on: January 03, 2020, 12:13:36 PM
Not safe when Google doesn't screen all these extensions and addon first before approving. Is it possible that even when you download the browser addon from the website of the original developer, it still can be compromised by hacked with malicious intent?

I have long been using some chrome add ons/extensions, I have not experience anything yet. The very recent I've used was the Tronlink, was just trying but didn't disable it since I'm using to bet on some games.
1258  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: South Korea untaxing Investor's Profits on: January 03, 2020, 11:39:08 AM

This untaxing is the 3rd reason I see why the price goes up suddenly today, so far this is way close to it unlike the Iran bombing. When it was announce that the government was about to take tax from crypto investors in South Korea the price also drop. Its not final since the government looks at the approach of some other countries into taxing BTC holders. What their government could come up later will still affect the price and this is to be watched out .
1259  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we getting a pump and dump for this month? on: January 03, 2020, 11:18:13 AM
I think the pump has already started, Bitcoin was dropped below $7,000 and now it has bounce back strong and currently trading at $7200..
This is a great start because it bounce back right away and I hope will be go as high as $8000 before it will dump again if there's really a pump and dump this month. Honestly, IMO, anything can happen but we need to take advantage if there's a pump and dump.
Its not really a pump though, just the natural movement of Bitcoin. Market pump is the artificial inflating of price just so you know.
I have a feeling that it has started already,.. maybe we cannot call it a pump but what I am seeing now is a good start of a pump.
as of this writing, bitcoin is already trading at $7300 already, it might be normal to some as we usually see this but I am happy to see that when there's a dump, bitcoin will right away bounce back as it could lead to a bigger pump,.. this is the kind of scenario we saw last year, we have a good start then steadily the price going up, of course we can make that 30% pump an exception as after that, price didn't hold that much.

It must be pump and dump, we saw it yesterday its almost going to take a dive down to $6k but I wake up seeing the price goes more than $7300. I would only see pump and dump. There were users also spreading news that it will dip to $6k as well, although its possible to go that way its still uncertain where. Not taking my chance to profit thru it but maybe for some who has the a thrills, you can take the odds.
1260  Economy / Speculation / Re: I Bet Bitcoin Reaches $10k In the Next 5-7 Days! on: January 03, 2020, 10:50:09 AM
Some say the spike today was because of US bombing Iran. It would be evil to wish they bomb more but at least you find a less good reason in hash rate. $10k is a very sharp spike though, its not possible to happen in 5-7 days. It would have to gain more than 3% a day to reach $10k . Anyway, I can only see such article in cryptozink, not on popular crypto site.
