1181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Stablecoins Promote the Mass Adoption of Cryptocurrencies? on: January 20, 2020, 01:23:00 PM
You must understand that stablecoins are not cryptocurrencies. this is the same as ordinary electronic money, only it does not belong to large banks but to some private campaigns. I see no reason to trust such currencies and they certainly will not be able to help the cryptocurrency market become more interesting for people. I use stablecoins only for trading

There isn't much option for traders but to trust stablecoin because its just the way to protect their money. To safeguard the money, is just to hedge it to USD pegged coins. Youdon't normally buy altcoin which price will also depreciates because people also dumped it. You wouldn't be worrying whatever they'd do or what will happen to the market if you hold stablecoins.
1182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do people still create new ERC20 tokens/projects nowadays? on: January 19, 2020, 04:35:59 PM

They are not doing ICO using the ERC20 tokens today which is good.
We can't stop them from creating tokens nor coins, its making these coins/tokens valuable in the market that makes it difficult. To be able to do that these days it needs uniqueness and use case of the coin which merely any new coins today aren't unique.

1183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin provides more long-term profits on: January 19, 2020, 02:56:04 PM
As long as prices goes up and you have picked the supported ones, you are safe to invest to that altcoin. Though altcoins these days are purged since the days were the scams were de-listed, its still not safe to invest any of these altcoins. There are still scam ones left from trying to survive for another cycle.

Most altcoins to me provide short to mid term profits, not long term comparatively. It's a good thing OP pointed out that Bitcoin influence on altcoin is still very obvious until now, which is the more receive why a wise man will have a considerable portion of his portfolio in BTC. Just very few altcoins give more long term benefits when you hold.

Most of the investors will still pick BTC or at least keep mBTC to their wallets if they don't have 1.
1184  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Main Club Partner of Watford FC ⚽ Fun. 🏀 Fast. 🎾 Fair. on: January 19, 2020, 11:57:17 AM

Changing password to sportsbet seem not working. I have tried it several times and waited for 3o minutes thinking it hasn't yet propagate that is why the new password isn't working but it's really not working still after the wait. Has anyone ever found a solution to login when they tried changing their account password?  I'm trying to use my phone instead of the desktop browser.
1185  Economy / Speculation / Re: Did Elon Musk cause the massive bull-run? on: January 18, 2020, 04:27:36 PM
He didn't tweet BSV last week so can't say he also initiated this pump.

But we can truly say Elon had been supporting blockchain projects for years, he is very positive in this market since the time he bought years and years ago. So if every time he tweets a crypto, its no surprising that his followers end up becoming a bull as well.
1186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto Exchange Discussion on: January 18, 2020, 03:42:10 PM
If you want to choose an exchange for a listing, then I suggest choosing a popular exchange and then just choose according to the needs of the project you want to input the coin into the exchange.
The requirements for listing, of course, the funds must be ready and the products they develop must run well because if I only pay the fee, I think it is useless it will not last longer.

I think its the fee that he is worrying. OP must have been part of a team who is trying to add their token to an exchange. You would rather be going to a DEX first since they are the ones accepting free listing. If the project however has its own blockchain then exchanges like CREX24 seem to be accepting them for less expensive fee. Exchange listing is what makes the project not fruitful in the coming years.
1187  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Will Reach $400,000 After Halving, History Dictates on: January 18, 2020, 02:39:11 PM

$400K is just too much though. You wouldn't really have to expect that much because of halving, the expectation on price when bear market occurs after this bullrun will probably more devastating than going up to $400K. It would be too much that before it may get there the market will be considered very over bought. I could be wrong but there might be a massive dumps will happen before price could reach up to $20k.
1188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Steemit clones on: January 18, 2020, 02:03:17 PM
I don't know how much tokens you get in publishing into these platforms but steemit is valuable, I think it rises up to $5 last 2017 and it also allows users to earn while participating in the discussions.

There is something called publish0x which seems to be cloned from steemit but i dont know whether they have their own token or they just share earning with publisher through their internal wallet. However they claim to reward publishers for writing quality articles just like steemit.

I haven't tried it yet since I have nothing to write, I'm not good in writing as well blogs too but I might if there are projects that will spark my interest to get some bounty from the project. Publish0x allows us to earn BAT so if using this platform while also using brave browser, you might double the amount of BAT you get everyday.
1189  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Celebrities using Bitcoin today? on: January 18, 2020, 01:31:59 PM
I doubt they will reveal themselves.
That just means being questioned by IRS.

If they do then I will congratulate them for having a lot of courage facing a lot of enemies with the United States government.
Yes, it will happen.
Whoever the name would be, they will just not care. They all need to pay every penny of their tax.

Probably the reason, there are celebrities promoting altcoins though. There is a musician known as Imogen Heap to which I only knew her because a speaker in TED talked about her being involve in blockchain related to music. There is also Ashton Kutcher who promoted XRP in Ellen Show, pretty sure he was paid to do it but he did demonstrate sending XRP worth million$ to Ellen Degeneres foundation.
1190  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain the most desirable skill of 2020 according to LinkedIn on: January 17, 2020, 05:11:44 PM
LinkedIn itself a platform which is used to find job offers as well as promotes different courses online through set of classes with certification. Now knowing the growth of the blockchain technology blockchain development and associated learning might have got added to the list. Soon I expect more courses online on LinkedIn associated with blockchain and related studies. These service renders at any cost will do things for profit. Right now LinkedIn stating blockchain as a most desirable skill of 2020 is pure marketing.

Yes they do own lynda.com which offers online video tutorials for a price, this could be a marketing for it too. But I think there is a grain of truth to it that blockchain industry is getting traction to freelancers learning the industry. There are serious number of projects competing these days and some of them are hiring SEO freelancers and for these freelancers to effective work with blockchain companies, they need to learn blockchain.
1191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BURSTEX.io - Crowd Owned Exchange - Profits Shared Among Token Holders on: January 17, 2020, 03:42:10 PM

Must be related to Burst project notice that they also have the lightning designs on the letter B. I remember burstnation.com use to have an exchange but can't find it now. Burst was a platform but works different like the NXT platform.

Would be curious to see which projects are revived now that crypto markets are stable but jsut to make it transparent list of people were asked. If the team doesn't respond to this, its a possible revival of scams.
1192  Economy / Speculation / Re: What are the real reasons of recent BTC rally? on: January 17, 2020, 03:07:04 PM

There is no war. The bears just got tired so they now rest and allow the bulls to set phase which is why there had been spikes in the past weeks. I think this is because they know the supply will drop and that the investors are going to try to buy more before halving.

Altcoins created since 2018 are also pumping, we accused them of scam but I just notice some coins that volumes were close to nothing not goes up suddenly to $14k in a day.
1193  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Conor McGregor vs Manny Pacquiao on: January 17, 2020, 02:21:17 PM
Sure. Almost past his prime but doesn't back out a fight whoever is there as long as they'd agree on dates and money. Pacquiao however might dictate a date for this one. He is a politician and its possible that he will run for a higher position which by the next election is May 2022 picking dates probably December 2021 is going to be strategic for him.

Conor seem humble himself with Cowboy if you have seen the pre-fight he shake hands with him.
1194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I feared new altcoins might be left out on: January 17, 2020, 01:12:47 PM
Old or new, there is no difference for altcoins, the only difference is whether it's legit or not.
When there is a bull run, if we based on the last trend, even the shitty coin will pump and there's no need to dump everything as this market is big enough to accommodate even the scam coins because there are new comers who are greedy enough investing without ensuring they have enough understanding on crypto.  they might again think it's an easy way to make quick money.

IF it were not legit the coin could have died already. A lot of the coin we suspected to be scam since 2016 are already dead, if they'd been revived this time, its because they are up to scam again. Those were delisted and not present in any exchange right now should attract new investors today because if they can, the cycle of scam will keep going every time the market situation gets better.
1195  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Want to learn trading on: January 16, 2020, 08:02:13 PM

Forex video tutorials actually will also discuss how the indicators will work and the tutors in the video will tell you how to identify which way the market will go hen indicators do this and that. Go over to udemy and find forex tutorials.

Here so you might wanna check it out https://www.udemy.com/courses/search/?src=ukw&q=Forex
I find some of them to be helpful particularly those Forex MetaTrader 4 which discusses indicators and candle sticks. Alll these can also be use in crypto market.
1196  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why people debate so much about BTC value? on: January 16, 2020, 06:19:05 PM

Prices in USD matter because its where you can profit when you trade BTC and USD. You can buy and sell while BTC price fluctuates. Users asking about prices and debates what the price may be after a week or a month is probably because of trading as well. All of us wanted to profit so getting in at the right time and right bottom price matters.

If someone speculates BTC price goes $130K, you'd best invest now and wait for the price to materialize and then sell. But for someone who will debate, it must be seeing something else in the charts.
1197  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can we overcome our gambling addiction! on: January 16, 2020, 05:06:00 PM
I believe that if a person has a gambling addiction, then it is obvious that he has psychological problems originating from deep childhood.
These are shortages that a person is trying to compensate for his whole life in one way or another, unconsciously. All you need is to find a very good psychotherapist and heal these psychological injuries.

They don't have to do that really.  All they just need is to channel their excitement to gambling to something else maybe a job. How old are these guys who had gambling problems anyway?  Gambling can be avoided especially if they are monitored by their big sister or brother.

If they are 18 and above, they can certainly find ways to look the other way when chips are in front of them.
1198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why High Ranked People promoting P2PB2B IEO Bounties? on: January 16, 2020, 03:18:13 PM

P2Pb2b exchange were caught having fake team members, they presumed scam as they may really be. You can read the whole thread because its all there. If anyone promoted it paid or not, its their option. Scams are not regulated in the forum which is why its still best for someone to search first before sending BTC to an exchange.

1199  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain the most desirable skill of 2020 according to LinkedIn on: January 16, 2020, 02:26:33 PM

Blcokchain technology created a new industry to explore for all to explore. If its according to linkedin, they must mean skills related to blockchain. Most of the scammers are creating a lot of linkedin profile to put on the ICO website making blockchain the new skills since linkedin will classify it a skill when its added on the user's skills. Anyone from other industry can add "blockchain". Been in linkedin trying to market my employer too so I kept seeing new blockchain related groups in linkedin a s well.
1200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥 [ANN] Minter. The Internet of Money (TON & Libra will be integrated) on: January 15, 2020, 05:24:44 PM
any solid exchanges supported BIP ?

Am also interested to know. Not even on a dex. I guess because TON isn't yet up.
If they haven't added this to an exchange after months of released, BIP will be left behind among the altcoins. Or is this already abandoned by the dev to?

I don't see the dev nor bitjudge reply to this thread anymore. It could be another project that is left dependent to TON.
