721  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Yearn.Finance (YFI) hits $28k on: August 30, 2020, 03:29:58 PM

According to cointelegraph
Code:
https://cointelegraph.com/news/yfi-price-soars-to-388k-hitting-1b-market-cap-can-it-go-higher

the price hit $38,883 on Binance in its (USDT) pair. Before it dip this low. If I were to make money out of this hype I probably would buy much right now before it explodes to $50K this is a huge opportunity this pandemic.  A crypto investor now has the thoughts of moving their BTC to YFI already because of this hype.
722  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DeFi Platform on: August 30, 2020, 03:07:05 PM

Youtube videos are good source of information. There are users out there who can explain it better with you having to google every term. Defi is from the term decentralized finance which a user can do just about anyuthing related to finance including lending, flash loans and trading and all these are done with smartcontracts with no central authorities. Now, this isn't just it.

But if you could look up to youtube there are more users out there that can explain it best down to its details. You may wanna go dive into a particular defi platform like Compound itself or Aave.
723  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there any VR crypto casinos? on: August 30, 2020, 02:58:29 PM

I searched Valve Index and it cost $999. You bought it for its purpose so you should enjoy it not only to video games but also to experience online casino and even for adult entertainment if possible.  Cheesy

AFAIK there isn't yet an online casino for VR users, it would be fun to have one but I'll probably try it when the VR devices will be cheap as phones already. The cheapest VR device that I have found was still more than a thousand.  Few more years maybe we can find some of it only for $100.
724  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Missing the current DEFI pump on: August 29, 2020, 10:50:45 PM

You do want to profit that is why its tempting to dive into defi. I think its not really that too late to jump right into it, the investors may have profit already but I don't think they are ready to dump at all when there are more to gain.

The defi platforms allow users to profit more through its protocols than the trading platforms we often use like binance, this is why I think there is more that will come in crypto. You didn't miss yet, you are right on time.
725  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: SATO DEFI -BRING CRYTO TO EVERYONE IN THE WORLD! on: August 29, 2020, 09:41:50 PM
It was so sad, just posted the thread then directly got caught doing plagiarism. I saw he post the airdrop thread too, but I didn't any information how to enter, only can see info about his token sale. Looks like already messed up at the beginning.
Is this the reason they do not display part of their team for legal reasons and I searched their website, they claim to be from Japan
But let's take a closer look at their actions

They say they will announce their team once their legal documents are in place. So let's wait if they can acquire their license, casino license in particular. But how about their plagiarized whitepaper? Are they going to rectify it? They need to re-write their whitepaper, else, how do we know that they are serious in moving forward?

If they listed thier token on different exchanges, then it could be enough to say they are serious. But having the plagaiarized whitepaper and anonymous team will still not enough to make it knowing how many scam there is in crypto. I didnt really read about its whitepaper, the word defi still is got some curiosity.

Lending stablecoin is profitable but once bounty campaign is launched the more people will learn about it.
726  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Non DeFi projects starts going DeFi on: August 29, 2020, 03:50:37 PM
There is nothing wrong for non DeFi to implement DeFi Protocol. If these projects switching to DeFi with the right projection and good intentions, I think that should not be a problem. This is a ecosystem and everyone is trying to reserve their place in the DeFi ecosystem.
To be honest, that action would cause the project to go in a completely new direction, and it would no longer be consistent with their original idea. They're just trying to capitalize on the hype from Defi to make their project even more popular, and the price could go up these days.

I followed one project that also joined the Defi hype but its not working for them.  I wouldnlt mention that name because its just in the EOS platform, they end up just waiting and the dex they have hasn't even yet released since the project started last 2018.

Not all defi projects will really be pumping. Teams switching to Defi will only look as if they are going to end up scam. I did ask them about it on telegram and they kicked me out after it.
727  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CAN WE STILL GET THE 2017 BULL IN THIS 2020? on: August 28, 2020, 04:48:14 PM

I think this is just a temporary fall since it will once again bounce. It's going to take its cycle and will temporarily go down when its overbought. A holder who thinks they are losing money will really panic to take profit. It just need more time to push the price up again. Crypto is getting mainstream already and once it happens more investors coming here to lift the price up to the next ATH.
728  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: UK hospital launches rehab programme for bitcoin addiction on: August 28, 2020, 03:12:27 PM
Wondering on what is the symptoms for being a bitcoin addict since its crazy to hear this and why on earth does a hospital implement that, Bitcoin enthusiast are going on bitcoin to earn money and I never see any people getting crazy because of this. Maybe they became crazy because they lose there money from scams or by playing gambling and for me if that's the case well that's different story and belong to other category.

One symptom is that staying all day long in bitcointalk.org and browse CMC all the time.  Grin Joining the forum signature campaign that only pays BTC and if not. this addicted to bitcoin individual will scream scam all of a sudden. Somehow I can see a lot of users already are going to be admitted there.

All that's too much is always not good. So if you felt like you are an individual who bookmarked CMC and click it all the time. Its time to call the hospital.

729  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Verifying Provably Fair b.s. on: August 28, 2020, 02:46:28 PM
So many results are obviously complete bullshit.  Has anyone found a third party site that we the players can use to verify results of blackjack and slots and whatever other questionable outcomes we encounter?
I readt some good thread yesterday explaining how to verify results from the outcome and its the best one i found.
You can visit vand read the topic here mate https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5227525.0

I hope you can comprehend that so you can verify yourself next time you encounter suspicious outcomes.  Smiley
The thread you have given here is also very helpful to all players especially to those who really on verifying every bet have made. Actually, this is very important a tool where we can verify the outcomes to see if the site is a provably fair system. Also, I’m interested in knowing this provably fair system as before I’m not checking the bet I've made when I'm playing in an online casino.

Despite the tool to verify how fair the result is, players who had set to beleive the casino isn't fair will stil think the casino is cheating them. Its not like they change their heart but its easy to look for another casino to play with.

There are casinos I think that are fair like the ones using tx as result of the game. I have seen few of these casinos so far.
730  Economy / Economics / Re: The pros and cons of going cashless on: August 27, 2020, 04:44:00 PM

The discuss have been on for many years about the possibility of a cashless society. Especially with the current wave of the use of cryptocurrency.

Many have favoured it while others have not.

These are the pros

Extra theft protection
Complete transaction records
Benefits and bonuses
Convenience

These are the coins

You may spend more
Data can be compromised
Privacy concerns are another consideration
Small transactions get tricky
Electronic methods aren’t perfect

Quote
Extra theft protection
You have options if a credit card is lost or stolen, or if an unauthorized person somehow accesses your online accounts. You can replace a card or cancel a payment. Credit card users are protected from fraud through the Fair Credit Billing Act.

Meanwhile, we’ve all lost cash at some point in our lives—and with no paper trail (or e-trail), missing cash can be tough to get back.

The above argument to me is not enough ground to be a pro because as much we lose our cash either to the wind, armed rubber, dropping from your pocket/pause to the floor or bank theft, we can also lose digital currency or coins without recovering.

China, as far as I know, had their major cities is already a cashless society but the towns outside the big cities are still using cash especially near the borders. The people in China didn't worry about data breaches though.

Having the fiat cash will still be the best to use after all they are more untraceable than coins using blockchain. This is why there will be resistance in adopting blockchain.
731  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Has Lost Its Way: Here’s How to Return to Crypto’s Subversive Roots on: August 27, 2020, 04:06:01 PM

So that Dark Renaissance Wallet he'd been developing it the saviour to take back the source of power?  Not really sure what the author is up to but for anonymity, a user can always choose to be anonymous as there are many tools to be used.

Making money is just not helping you to be anonymous. Withdrawing from Centralize or Cashing out to bank accounts needs KYC, thats a trade off for wanting fiat.
732  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Chris Larsen, Chair Of Ripple, Argues China Can Reverse Bitcoin Transactions on: August 27, 2020, 03:27:42 PM

Can't imagine what will happen to all of us if they really can reverse bitcoin transactions. CZ once mentioned about the pool to reverse a hacker's transaction, he must be serious when he tweeted it. Knowing China had done the impossible things and what they have accomplished today for thier one belt road initiative, I might actually beleive it.   Cheesy

Okay, let's sell our BTC!
733  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Legal Matter on: August 27, 2020, 03:12:07 PM

There are states where gambling is allowed as far as I know. But yes, it should have been legalized for all states if they are to find a possible source of funds, it's a billion-dollar industry that they missed milking. centralized or not, its going to make money.

But I'm sure anyone who wanted to play can always do so with just credit card. Before Bitcoin I've seen enoug gambling websites that's been popular in US.
734  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Buy and Hold Really the Best Strategy in Crypto? on: August 26, 2020, 06:39:09 PM
My strategy is mostly holding to tokens particularly the ones that I know will have the potential to 100x. Spot trading is a good option when you know the tokens experience the ups and downs for most of the time.

If you are just trading for USD, you'd best try the margin trading. BTC/USDT is best for it and eventually buy BTC with the earned USD but lke you said not everyone can foresee charts trend.
735  Economy / Economics / Re: Our country was called Province of China. on: August 26, 2020, 06:11:49 PM
The Philippine government should pass a law to immediately deport Chinese who will do that, they should also require Chinese that will enter the Philippines to take a quiz so they will know that Philippines is a sovereign country and should not be treated a province of any country.
They should know where they are and belong, we can't deny that many businesses are owned by Chinese that makes them think this way but it's not enough to let them publish things just because they want or own what is not from them. The locals should avoid using the products they produce, locals better support the locals first before the other nation to not be treated this way. Fipinos should learn from this issue to strive harder in life to be the owner of a company or not a forever worker of other nation.

Not buying thier products is not possible. All products in the world are made in China even the phones and computers you are using today are made in China.

I wouldn't be upset if what they claim is not true though. Its not china that claimed Philippines as their province but just the companies owned by FIlipinos too. History says that China had been owning places in the Philippines long before the Spanish came here but they didn't resist when Spain colonized Philipines.
736  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Google Opens The Door To Mass Cryptocurrency Adoption on: August 26, 2020, 04:34:53 PM

Whenever there is newcrypto, its always going to be spam. They have nothing to do with this google pay but they manage to insert themselves even without a single strand of relevance. Its a scam coin driven by spam. You will notice that most of the posts done by its shills are often clickbait like this one.  No source link was even posted coming from google, seem a fake news.

Im having the same impressions in regards to this matter or topic on where i do have questions if this one is legit or just fake or simply trying to shill out that NWC(Newcrypto) project? https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/newscrypto/
We had lots of similar news about acceptance and considerations towards crypto on where integrating or implying it into its service specially to those big companies that we had known.Im trying to search out further
more but i havent seen any similar info with Google. So most likely this one is just trying to shill out.

Don't know about you two, but I basically see the possibility to buy NWC tokens with Google Pay.

Can you elaborate why would it be a scam coin? sitting on some good profits.

Don't know about you too but I can see countless shill posts you've made about this newscrypto in the past.

The thread title on this thread as we can see is "Google Opens The Door To Mass Cryptocurrency Adoption"  but the shills in Op's vein just can't resist in mentioning newscrypto like they are the first to be adopted among the lists of cryptocurrencies. There hundreds more before your newscrypto, don't put all your hopes to it like its the only coin you have in your wallet that you need to shill it every page of this forum.

737  Economy / Economics / Re: Economy over health on: August 26, 2020, 04:08:00 PM

Every government had reacted differently to the same dilemma they experience. Costa Rica chose to revive their tourism for they see they could benefit from it after all even with this COVID19 there are still people roaming around.

Why should they chose just one when they can choose both reviving the economy and at the same time have a strict mandate to prevent the spread of COVID.

738  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casino design setup for failure? Is it gambling to loose by site design? on: August 26, 2020, 03:28:41 PM

I would also assume they are doing it purposely so player can accidentally click it. Of all places where to put it, why to put it somewhere near users could unconsciously click it. I wouldn't call it a poor design but deliberately designed.

If they want users to stay for a long time on thier casino, fixing buttons in place would be a good solution to it unless they just want users to just do one bet and gone all his funds in one max bet.
739  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greatest Gambling Losers on: August 25, 2020, 06:55:47 PM

If they gamble and lose money of this size, it should mean they have more money than what they've lost. The article proves drugs, alcohol and gambling isn't a good combination.

Losing Millions in a day is already not normal today. Watanabe tried to sue the casino for giving him some drugs and alcohol that he lost $127 million. Somebody gave him $28,610 still when he set up a go fund me page since he is broker and has cancer.  Worse that could ever happen to a millionaire.
