261  Economy / Economics / Re: 4 COMMON MISTAKES PEOPLE MADE WITH THEIR FINANCES LAST YEAR THAT SHOULD BE AVOID on: January 08, 2024, 07:29:05 PM
I don't track my expenses and I admit that is a mistake that I've been doing but that's not to the point that has made me broke. I can say that I know myself and I'm still responsible when its come to my expenses and finances. One another thing that I see with others mistake is that this is related to investing and what they do is they save to save and not save to invest. It's hard to invest when you don't have the idea on what type of risk tolerance you have but that's for each of us as an individual to figure out. Those savings that we have is much better be kept to investments that we know especially from most of us here, with Bitcoin.

Yah I agree, I don't track my expenses either but I know what I'm doing. It's hard to force others to invest because most of them are afraid to invest because they worked hard for that money, they can't let it go just like that in short they don't have any knowledge or lack of knowledge about investment things so they are afraid make a mistake.
And we're not all the same that we're open to investing. While us here, obviously we're all investors and we understand the risk that we take. We can't just dictate that to the other people that they should also invest just as we because one can say that they're afraid to invest and they can't take it on their appetites. Then some might say that they're inspired but never have followed and obeyed what we've said, some are like speculators and they're the ones that actually do the same thing as us and silently investing.

263  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you be worried or comfortable seeing your elderly mother gambling? on: January 08, 2024, 02:42:34 PM
Regardless of age, we'll see people at all ages that can be at a betting shop except the minors. Or even minors but they're accompanied by their parents. What I think with these articles is that whoever is going to be their content and subject of the article, they're going to do it. They'll know a bit of the story behind why they are there and any reaction that they'll have, they will have it covered. So, these things are said to be common and nothing new to get amazed of. I wouldn't get into their affairs as their money is being the one gambled for and it's their rules to do anything with it as they wish.
264  Economy / Economics / Re: If you want to get rich, you have to become immune to the money.......! on: January 08, 2024, 12:59:45 PM
  • Do not desire the money of others. Envy is a deadly sin. Because it will distract you from your own mission.
What I've learned from the elderly who I've talked to is about envying. It is actually deadly because when someone feels envy and can't clap for the others and be happy with their achievements, it affects that person mentally and emotionally. It's an unacceptable thing for them when they see people becomes well in life. Here in my country, this is like a common thing that many feels envy with others achievement and success'. They can't be happy on them so, they think of them as bad people that don't even remember them if they can't be granted with some loans or didn't received any gift from that person. This is poor thinking and mindset as if those successful people did asked them helped when they're still down.
265  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Makakaapekto kaya Sa Bitcoin Adoption Sa Mga Nangyayaring Rigodon Sa Ating Bansa on: January 08, 2024, 10:11:47 AM

Hey
I'm fine now. I will update the sheet tonight. There's another problem too. Bets.io hasn't yet processed the last week payment. It was supposed to be paid January 4, unfortunately, their Finance team was away. I'm in communication with the rep here and he promised me to pay shortly.
In case, if I dont get payment before this weeks end, I'll pause the campaign although that's a bit unlikely that they won't pay.
Extremely sorry for whatever happened.

LM
Hello LM, no worries. That's great to hear that you're fine now.
267  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your gambling life could affect your relatives lifes. on: January 07, 2024, 11:15:32 PM
Not just relatives but your closest family will be affected if you are an irresponsible gambler. You might also influence one of them. But the most sad part here is that you're not having quality time bonding with your love ones because you spend more time on gambling.
Aside from influencing them, the burden that you're bringing to them that worries about you is going to be that much. Instead of them have nothing to worry with, a portion of their mind is thinking about you and how it is going to be with their relatives as well that you might influence. It's an equal and domino effect for the majority of them and you'll have to think about it because if you're an irresponsible gambler and you don't think the welfare of others but only yourself, there must be something wrong about you. It's okay to gamble on your own, spend your money and lose them all but when you see people around you are being influenced none other than you, you have to take precautions and have to adjust for their sake if ever you worry about them too.
268  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mental rehabilitation clinic. on: January 07, 2024, 09:20:58 PM
I think that professionals assigned here are much of psychologists and/or psychiatrists. But of course the former can't prescribe medicines and this is a good combination if there are two professionals that are on these field with these clinics. Whilst for the gamblers that are like to argue, I guess that it's normal as part of in denial process but sooner or later, they'll just be happy that they've been diagnosed and got helped from clinics like this.  But typically, this is going to cost money for the patients and if there are mobile clinics that are trying to help on this matter, they're legends. Or some organizations organize this clinic to help gambling addicts for free since no one's gonna help them spend money on themselves and cure anymore unless their family already gave up.
269  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: January 07, 2024, 07:42:13 PM

There is a distinction between investing and saving, and some individuals may not be aware that investing is something they should consider if they want to increase their wealth over time. Those are some really intriguing points.

Saving money alone won't cut it; you also need to invest it to get returns by buying stocks, bonds, and yes, even Bitcoin. I appreciate that you emphasize the need of understanding your personal risk tolerance because it's a crucial consideration when making investments. It involves striking the ideal ratio between profit and risk.
Don't mention it because that's what I see in today's generation especially in my country. People think that when you save money, that's it and you don't need to do anything with the money and what matters is that you are seeing good numbers on your bank account. But they don't understand that it is going to be there and will just be taken over by the inflation and if they are not going to put it somewhere else and take a risk, it won't grow. So, with that situation, no matter what they do is that they're going to lose so before losing, why not just take the risk and have that chance of growing it over time with a good investment or asset like the ones you've mentioned right or any investment that they know and aware of.

272  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think gamblers do retired betting gambles on: January 06, 2024, 07:10:41 AM
One day I saw an old man of seventy [70] years old in gambling center were we bet for soccer predictions gambling bet, and I interviewed the old man that his age that why is it gambling up this age, and many people who don't know me was like wondering why I interviewed the man and some said why I mine questioning the man that gambling is a game of personal interest.
They're just surprised that someone asked randomly that old man and it's not a problem at all but based on their reactions, it's just like "mind your own business" as they say lowkey.

so what I to ask a gambler is that what age should someone who is a gambler supposed to reach before the person retire in gambling or is it advisable for someone to continue to gamble until death separate us with gambling.
It depends on your capacity and happiness. Yes, happiness because if that old man is finding his happiness through gambling at his age, no one can question that as all of us have our own reasons why we gamble be it, young or old.

As a gambler what do you think that should be the right time we suppose to leave gambling weather we are making profits or we are not making profits with gambling, because I know quite well that gambling whenever you are making profits you will wish to continue gambling unless that you run out of cash.
Leave when you've made profits and come back anytime you wish as long as you're not asking for loans to gamble, simple.

You guys have an idea what this team is?

Report: Dwight Howard Signs Contract with Philippines Team amid NBA Comeback Hopes

Quote
Eight-time NBA All-Star Dwight Howard intends to sign with the Philippines-based Strong Group, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium.

The deal will run through the Dubai International Basketball Championship, which tips off Jan. 19 and concludes Jan. 28 in the United Arab Emirates.

I haven't heard this team yet, maybe you guys know, please tell me their players.
IMO, for a team to sign Dwight, this team might be a rich team, as we know Dwight isn't an ordinary player although he is not getting any younger.
I have seen this news and I wasn't aware of the Philippines team (Strong Group) in Dubai but it seems that it's been there and I've heard about players going there so basically, it's the prize that is quite high there. And it is not that Dwight only that they've recruited but also other former NBA players like with Andre Roberson, Kuya Andray Blatch and what's even better is their coach is going to be Brian Goorigan who was the former head coach of the Bay Area Dragons. Wow, this might not yet connected to the PBA but it's entirely now connected to the Philippine Basketball and who knows soon, we might see more of the former NBA players play in our league.
274  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Someone just sent 26 BTC to genesis block address on: January 05, 2024, 11:34:43 PM
The fact that the sender overpaid 4x the fee, pretty sure that he's aware of where s/he's sent it. And another amazing thing is sending a million with a $12 fee but it could have been lesser if the fees are quite lower. Just as what satoshi has said, thanks to the donation to the community as this is making each of our Bitcoins or satoshis more valuable. Let's see later if someone is going to claim that s/he has mistakenly sent it there or just trying to flex how much BTC they got.

Crazily amazing and unreal! I am not jealous but congratulations to the player who have been lucky with the start of the year, this is truly a lot of money and can make him retire for the rest of his life. While kudos on sportsbet.io's part for making this win withdrawal because it's known that it won't be easy for someone who's win this much will have to go through tough and several process just to verify the win of the guy. If that guy is around here or have seen this thread and not yet a member, you can register and express how happy you are because you can see that most of us here are happy for you. Don't worry, we're not going to ask you some tips.  Tongue
276  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does the tension make you take risk that are sometimes worth it? on: January 05, 2024, 07:43:25 PM
gambling under pressure is really unpleasant, our minds really seem to be split in two
This is correct and that's why I don't do that and I feel like being pressured is just going to lead you to more losses and you'll be more emotional that you should do your best when you're at that state. And that's the reason why it's best not to gamble when feeling is on that rate.

It always depends on what kind of situation is a gambler in. Let's say his wife needs surgery and he needs to pay the hospital a huge amount of money and so he gambles in hopes he could win that amount. Without surgery, his wife dies. This kind of pressure is just not gonna make your head clearer for the whole month.
I don't think that it is a good example to get pressured and have that tension. You know that your wife needs a surgery and you need money, I know that gambling is giving you a chance but I will thought of it as the last resort if there's really no help at all. On this case, I wouldn't gamble the life of my wife and be dependent on the results whether I win, she'll get to live and if I lose then she'll lose her life. That's a terrible idea that you've mentioned about being tensioned when someone's life is between life and death. Definitely that you'll get pressured when your wife is dead and your wrong decision making is the entire cause of it.

OP could just be that lucky but more than often a gambler who takes risks playing while under pressure will not be able to think wisely in decision making.
It's easy to say to become lucky but you can't dictate when you'll be lucky.
277  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Philippine traders need help! We want an exchange with p2p feature like Binance. on: January 05, 2024, 05:57:00 PM
Bypassing the ban using VPNs makes them easily able to close your account and then you cannot complain to anyone, you will be the weaker party.
I have asked actually the support on this one but it is unclear on what their stance is and I don't think that I'll be getting a clear answer about accessing them with a VPN. But most likely, it is what you've said that there is a big chance once the ban has happened then there will be a reason for them to ban us with such ways of accessing the platform.

Here's comment[1] from a someone's friend who work with Binance

[1] https://www.reddit.com/r/phinvest/comments/186gtlb/comment/kb9xvju
If this is for real, the system that we've got is really f*cked up. It is the government thing ever since and we can't have that hope that there's a balance process that's happening. And I guess everyone's taught about making the SEC force the users to use the local exchanges is for real, whoever is behind this could be the owners of the locals that we've got, cph, pdax, gcrypto, maya and who else I've missed? there are actually a lot of them but don't have the p2p feature or if I've missed one and they have, they have an ugly one and can't be compared to Binance's p2p.
278  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We dont own enough bitcoin on: January 04, 2024, 11:55:39 PM
It is part of human nature that being contented is an endless thing. If we achieve something that we'd say will make us content, that will end up when you see someone who's more successful to you.

Lets face it, getting BTC is at this point more rewarding for the average person than buying Real Estate, Gold, Silver, Oil stock, etc.
While I want to say that BTC had me more money than the other assets. I wouldn't argue with the fact that someone from those other industries that can have the same feeling as us telling everyone that they've made more money from those that you've mentioned. As long as you're in and you know what you're investing, that's what matters and with the assets that we have means so much to us because it had changed our lives. If you're privileged to stacking more Bitcoin, that's nice. Because someday in the future, all of your efforts of accumulation and wait will be worth it.
279  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does the tension make you take risk that are sometimes worth it? on: January 04, 2024, 10:13:25 PM
It does but I don't think that it is ever going to make me productive at all. I avoid being pressured and emotional when I bet because I know that it is not going to do good on me. While on your end OP, it might be as good as how it resulted but for me, I just don't think that it's going to be the same.

280  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How often do you win? on: January 04, 2024, 08:38:09 PM
Maybe anyone can decide to share his game and let those interested to should pick and play on their favorite gambling site, with this help we all can win together,
This is not how it goes. Someone can win based on how lucky and good he is as a gambler and that is not transferrable. Maybe on some end that it can do good for those that are looking for some rituals on where he is gambling and from then he's able to win some good money. But, it's not going to work at most times because each of us are on our own. So, no matter what game we share to you as our favorite, there is nothing going to change with the results. If we're destined to win, we will win and if not, then we just have to accept the losses and that's how life as a gambler is. Sometimes we win and we lose.
