1262  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I become a successful Bitcoin investor as a newbies? on: July 05, 2023, 09:26:36 PM
You first have to distinguish your plan, as an investor then usually this is for the long term. If you want to be a trader then you're aware that it's mostly for the short term that you're planning to stay in the market and maximize the potential profit that you wanna have.
The first thing you've mentioned is right. There are many newbies that gets into bitcoin investing but they don't understand what bitcoin is and they're simply into the thought that the soonest, the investment they make will already make them profit. Somehow they're right with that expectation but usually, they need to understand that volatility might not allow that to happen easy.
1263  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: increased Youtube Gambling ads? on: July 05, 2023, 08:59:28 PM
Until now I have been waiting to see if there is advertising or some type of ADS regarding the casinos but nothing, maybe the YouTube algorithm does not detect that I need something like that, even though sometimes I look a lot at dice game strategies about casinos, slot machines, roulette, things that have to do with casinos, but nothing, I don't know to what extent the ocsa can manifest themselves in the algorithm of the social network,
It differs per user and you're right about their algorithm and you haven't probably been not searching a lot about casinos. Or the browser you're using isn't associated with them since we do know that Google Chrome and YouTube are owned by Alphabet.

however , I don't see a bad idea that they can advertise, as long as it is in a very moderate way.
Try to search around and just view page results and you might see some banners from those websites you quick each search result. Until you type keywords that relates to gambling or casino, I think that could be the start if you're mostly browsing on YT and not with a browser.
1264  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What is happening in France? on: July 05, 2023, 08:13:37 PM
I empathize deeply as a 17-year-old teenage boy who tragically lost his life by the police. But, this would not be a language of protest by any standards. We all have to admit that looting and burning cannot be justified in any way. It saddens me to witness the transformation of France from a once beautiful and peaceful place into a nation plagued by riots. These ongoing riots represent one of the most challenging crises faced by the French president's leadership. It is crucial for the president to respond with careful consideration and take the necessary actions.
This only means that these riots, looting, and other ruckus that can be done by people can happen to any good and peaceful nation. And this only shows how powerful the people as if they'll connect to each other and help with what they want to demand. But it's true that protests should remain protests and is just all about conveying their message to the government. I think it's a good coincidence that I've watched a short video clip about peaceful protest and violent protests and the latter has gone to France.
1265  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you find it offensive to be referred to as an addicted gambler? on: July 05, 2023, 07:40:35 PM
If someone who is close to us or a friend circle referring me as a addicted gambler isn't a big issue. If a common man terms me a gambling addict then I won't find it good, because the person's view upon me will be different from what he had earlier.
That's understandable if it's coming from the people that we know, the people that recognize us but if someone speaks it randomly and you don't know him. It's offensive to hear that but they're just telling the truth based on what they can see with your activities.
Anyway, we have the option to react or not if they've pointed that out to us. So, being civilized and pretty good in hearing such feedbacks to us will really depend on how you'll take that opinion of theirs or not really an opinion but rather a reality that they see within yourself.
1266  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When You trade Do You use VPN? on: July 05, 2023, 06:29:38 PM
Yea, VPN doesn't do anything. Anyone who has a little knowledge about Cybersecurity will know that a VPN is almost as good as useless. Doesn't do you any much good. And never combine Tor and VPN. If you are in a country where cryto trading is illegal, please do not break the law by trying to trade just obey the law. It is only a person who has freedom that can trade, buy or sell cryptocurrencies.
It doesn't really do a thing in trading unless you're from a country that has banned crypto and trading it but you're trying to break that law, you're at risk in using it. So those that are in a tough situation that they are required to use VPN, they are aware of the consequences that they might face later on upon breaking the law through it.

VPN is indicative of some restrictions. It is when you don't want to be identified either through your IP that you may want to use VPN or it is personal for the person to use it based on his or her own decision even if no restrictions but otherwise just very few or maybe no one want to bother themselves about VPN. If your country have no trade restrictions on cryptocurrency, why the need for VPN.
This is the typical use of VPN for the majority just to avoid the exact IP and location they have. But for those that are in real situation that they can't trade, this is their solution.
1267  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Every war is a war on children on: July 05, 2023, 06:02:36 PM
For real, war is a childish act of leaders who want to show their powers against each other instead of channelling that energy into something that will make the world a better place.
It's a pride game. It's true that they're acting childish and can't even let just pass it when other countries are living peacefully. To show off their power and military strength.

Why do we need weapons when everyone can leave in peace and unity, I do t think those interests shared by some world leaders as reasons for the war are not worth it and nations should negotiate more instead of drawing limited lines for each other.
While some countries achieved to do this, in every time of different generations. There will always that someone who won't allow people to live in peace and harmony.
1268  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrencies and Financial Crime on: July 05, 2023, 05:25:04 PM
Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies undoubtedly offer new opportunities for financial transactions. However, they can also be used for purposes of financial crime, such as fraud and money laundering. The absence of central control and the pseudonymous nature of transactions make cryptocurrencies appealing for illicit activities.
This is also describing cash/fiat.

What do you think can be done to mitigate the risk of cryptocurrencies being used for criminal purposes? What measures should be taken? Huh
Nothing. It will be lessened dramatically over time when most people that are into it are using it as an asset or store of value. That will come naturally when the majority of the people are into it but just as the usage of cash is done with several illegal uses. Bitcoin will be attached on it for as long as it can.

1270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: I want to create a cryptocurrency discussion group to study trends together! on: July 04, 2023, 11:53:09 PM
I think that this is going nowhere. It's hard to maintain a group with the same interests unless there's an incentive. I am having that vibes that this is gonna become a pump and dump group and will eventually be sold to the projects that are looking to have established communities with members already.

You should be careful for now so that you won't get added to a pump and dump group chat or telegram channel or a scammer's group.
This is what I am thinking but I could be wrong too and OP has a genuine purpose, who knows.
1271  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Stay Lowkey lang tayo on: July 04, 2023, 11:23:11 PM

1272  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: July 04, 2023, 10:56:48 PM

1273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Irony of Bitcoin Cash's Rise on: July 04, 2023, 10:26:44 PM
Come on, a rise? How come? I do understand that it has pumped from $100 to $277 now and $300 a few days ago. But look at how much it was before during its fork and from today's price. It's no longer a thing these days that they're still thinking they're the actual bitcoin.
How can it be if the name itself has some added word for its own convenience because the real bitcoin is the real bitcoin? A few hundred bucks of increase don't mean an actual rise from where it has been.
1274  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Killing in Politics is unethical on: July 04, 2023, 09:55:46 PM
In my country, this is a normal thing when the election approaches. News is everywhere about political killings and no wonder why many people want to take a seat in the position because it's not for public service but for their own personal interest and the perks that they'll get upon being elected. That's why when you ask old folks about what they think about politics, they'd say the same thing that it is dirty. Well, killing in any form is unethical and inhumane.
1275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 04, 2023, 09:28:23 PM
I've seen some tweets or posts that it's just about that he's wanting to increase his value and this is common. Getting the typical contract that he's got for his entire career, could be one reason for this potential trade. But that's just a thought in mind that's also possible. Anyway, whether he just really want a new environment and new team, that's on him and this is typical for players that wants to have something new and also wants to get a ring as well.
He's requesting for that trade whatever reason it's on him and all of our opinions are just speculations.

We are waiting for any update to what team he might be playing after this request. He's pointing that he wanted to play
for Miami, but for sure the offer or the trade negotiation will be on the management side, if Blazers will agree to Miami's
deal to get Lilard's service.
That's the final deal if it's accepted. Well, you're right that all of what we're discussing for his reasons to be out of Blazers are all speculations.
I guess it's only a matter of time I think we finally see some news about this official trade of Blazers and parting away from them and going to his new team.
1276  Other / Archival / Re: No panic while holding my Bitcoin on: July 04, 2023, 08:54:20 PM
That's hard to learn if you're new to this market, not to panic at times when the bad news has been deployed and everyone is getting crazy all over it. But that's nice that it's one of the first things you've learned because it will help you survive in this market for a long time if you're not a panicking person.

Never panic yourself when holding bitcoins. Every investment involves risk.
And for new investors, they need to learn first what they're up to upon buying Bitcoin. Not after they buy, that's the time that they'll assess if they can keep up with the risk that they've already taken. It's not useful to panic at most times but there can be some few times of our lives where panicking is good but it should be the other way for which you're panic buying when the drop comes.

According to the latest news I've read, there is only one team that Damian Lillard wants to be traded to now and that is the Miami Heat. (Shams Charania)

If this trade happens, it will be very good for the Miami Heat.
Do you think this trade will happen?
This rumor has been around during this trade war and I think it's very plausible that Dame will be out of Portland and likely to get on Heat.
That's the Heat is also rumored to offer a trade that's hard to decline just for Dame but we shall see the trade rumor happen within the next few days, maybe.

This is an anticipated event, and everyone is excited to know where Lillard will land. He has been a Blazer for his entire career, but now he has witnessed the limitations of the organization. Therefore, leaving the Blazers is timely, especially since Lillard is still healthy and capable of helping a team win a championship.

No.

the name alone sounds somehow, I think the creators of the blockchain don't think through before giving it a name, naming is important for the marketing purposes and PR
That's what it is. They're just tripping out and trying to get some money from investors that would think that this is the project that will give them such profits since the meme coins era is still here.

I saw something on a friend of mine iPhone I was amazed, this guy has 3 pieces of bitcoin but he didn't look it when you look at him with mere eyes, I ask him how he has come this far, he told long ego he was seriously investing on all kinds of coins with little amount of bitcoin but then most of those coins help him to realized enough amount to buy more bitcoin because that was his primary target. He normally buys those zero value coins when they appreciates it will be enough money, and that's how he convert and swag all to bitcoin and today, he has 3 piece. Is good to be diversified in your investment, somedays something good will come out of one you don't expect.
Good story, that's how it should be. Those that have been too invested in altcoins should take the time that it's not going to stay there for a long time if ever their assets in altcoins are flourishing. They need to spend in taking a profit because that's how it should be. And as they take profit and if they still wanna stay on this market, the profit they make from those altcoins should be retained and put into bitcoin. That's an easy strategy but many still don't do it because they don't believe in bitcoin's dominance.
