261  Economy / Economics / Re: Recession soon? on: February 25, 2024, 05:07:59 PM
We are already into it. The other superpowers have already declared that they're into it whilst for US, they are not yet admitting it.

You see that the richest person are selling their billions of stocks for how many times and there's a reason to it. They won't just sell it because they need money but they're selling it because they know something.

It seems that the bunker debunk is for real for Jeff Bezos and why he's into series of selling his amazon stocks.
262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: 🚀Flash Loan Arbitrage Bot on ETH and BNB Networks! 🌐 on: February 24, 2024, 11:53:13 PM
I've been hearing these flash loan arbitrage years ago and I found it to be hectic and likely a scam. Because if it works for OP, he shouldn't share this strategy and make himself a self made millionare with this strategy.

Does makes sense, right?

But there's another intention to it, read Bitcoin Arena's post above.  Wink
263  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Planning to invest in Bitcoin to perform Hajj. on: February 24, 2024, 10:46:01 PM
Do it, brother.

Your plans seems plausible and doable than of those that are just desiring to invest but they don't do any initiative at all. If that's the most convenient amount for you and your mom, do it.

As long as it's not going to affect anything on her life, that's so much better. We will never know how much that $90 per month will be in the upcoming bull run up to a decade.

Going with the matches, LGD gaming advances to the finals.

Not really a fan of all chinese teams final but if I have to pick one than XG it is. Even the bookies had them as the huge favourites. I thought the odds would be similarly close especially because LGD hasnt lose a single map in the playoff while XG lost 1 already

I think Im going to regret this and tbh, I've been losing like alot in dota2 ever since this year and it makes me totally lost interest in betting it lol. For some reason I've been doing pretty okay on cs2 although I dont really watch most of the games
The games are on going and the first match goes to XG. I just noticed that this finals won't be going to a best of 5 series but only a best of 3.

So there it goes for XG, the advantage is already on them for having that 1-0 in a bo3 series.

Typically, an org from CS2 can dive into another esports that they think they can dominate. I've seen orgs from CS2 or any other esports but they're having hard time in dominating Dota 2.

So, with BetBoom, it's also vice versa with the other orgs or teams. In fact, they've just finished their own sponsored tournament recently that happened in Dubai.

Exactly. There isn't such thing like an organization will be successful in another e-sports field surely. BetBoom can still do better in time in CS2 as well by getting more experienced thanks to joining big tournaments. The roster is built with Russian players by the way. The squad quality isn't much bad and thanks to having players of same nationality would be a big help for communication too.
If they're new there, it's like an experiment and see if the chemistry of the roster goes on. But if not, they might just have to do a reshuffle or buyouts that they think can help the org grow into more competitive actions.

Because with that, it's worth every investment as they get to participate more tier 1 tournaments and probably more sponsors too.
265  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble with what you can afford to lose can actually make a good investment on: February 23, 2024, 04:14:14 PM
That's what I am also hearing from the financial advisors and you're not wrong at all. It does makes sense if someone who spends little amount in gambling will put it into investments or assets that soon will grow.

But, it is their money and they are the one to decide on what they do with their money. It's okay to spend that small amount and they can do whatever they want with it.

Just do remember that if they can't get themselves in control, they're all free to stop.
266  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: February 23, 2024, 01:43:31 PM
I knew BetBoom from only DOTA tournaments before. But not much time ago I heard about their name in CS2 as well thanks to the Major RMR stage.  Smiley

267  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A famous influencer lost more than $4000 in just 2 minutes. (2) on: February 23, 2024, 10:51:34 AM
To me, this is a big amount. I just remember the biggest gamblers that can lost millions in a span of a few seconds and minutes, one of them is Drake.

It's hard to move on with this even if you've got a lot of money and you haven't anticipated that you're going to lose. If he's an influencer then it's possible too that it's for the sake of clout.

If it's a real loss, still, it's hard to get on with that moment when you've just waited or just a few wink of his eyes and then lost wholly.
268  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cyber Criminals abuse Google Cloud Run - targets crypto on: February 22, 2024, 09:15:56 PM
These criminals are going nowhere but to anything that they can abuse, they'd be there. So, upgrading from bank accounts and traditional ones, they're targeting the exchanges where there's also a lot of money for them to target from their victims.

Although I am not from that region, it's best to avoid anything unusual if someone receives an unknown email, never entertain them and much better if you're going to delete them as soon as possible.

Those that are not aware of this might fall for it, we're fortunate that we've been aware of it now but it's sad that there will be some that may fall.
269  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Recovering gambling addict stories on: February 22, 2024, 01:17:05 PM
There's one good support in the esports(Dota2) that we've been playing and betting and his name is Taiga. He retired already after having unsuccessful runs with his new teams just after he has expressed his gambling addiction to the public.

He's a good pro player honestly but gambling did ate him up. His entire earnings with his esports career has gone to zero because of gambling.

270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Another Newbie needing assistance on: February 22, 2024, 09:45:32 AM
Hello LittleTimmy, I'll just give some brief answer with what you're asking.

Yes, you have to do your exchange through those exchanges that you know for you to convert into other altcoins. But to mind you that, with decentralized exchanges, it's possible for you to convert too ~ https://coinmarketcap.com/rankings/exchanges/dex/

If you want to sell a coin, just do it on any exchange whether it's from a dex or a cex.

As for multi-wallets cryptocurrency, there are wallets like that's popular to newbies like Trust Wallet, Atomic, Exodus but I wouldn't put majority of my coins there. And will only use them as temporary storage until I get a hardware wallet.

I understand your frustration but just looking on this thread, he's looked into your concern and have noticed you. I hope that everything is going to come up with satisfying address and solution for each problems, delays that we've seen from users here.

Let's wait on how it is going to end up and looking forward to it. As addressed by acroman, that's also an interesting case and waiting if what's the status of it.
272  Economy / Speculation / Re: Capitalise on Bitcoin Bull Run on: February 21, 2024, 11:18:17 AM
Actually, the best time to buy is when likely no one's buying because they're all afraid of the condition of the market and that's during the bear market. The price of Bitcoin was considered during that time and most newbies think that it's already dead.

With that opportunity, it comes for a few times every cycle and those that have missed it trying to wait for the good run of the market to come back and that's the time they're buying. I don't say that it is wrong but you're all waiting for the entire market to be active again.

But the opportunity was really on that time when Bitcoin was sluggishly moving and many don't feel of buying it. Right now, the greed index is increasing again and this is scarier than the bear market although we're all looking forward to the bull run.
273  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria's Economic Problems on: February 21, 2024, 04:21:29 AM
I have no idea how's the economy there in Nigeria but what I only know is that you guys are one of the biggest and quickest in adoption rate of Bitcoin.

Now, going on with the economy. It is not just Nigeria that experiences this problem but also other nations that have been constantly importing a lot of products and they're the ones that have been hit with this inflation and also in the quick rising cost of these products in the form of USD.

We've got the same thing in mind that if most countries including Nigeria will product their own things, have a food security and manufactures locally, that will somehow help to deal with the high cost of everything.

The campaign manager informed about that situation in the signature thread by quoting the private message from LL to him as far as I can see.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5470622.msg63647915#msg63647915 <--- This one if you want to check.
Hope LL is getting well already now as I can see that he is online today.
The escrow address for the campaign has been refilled and hopefully he will do the same for the hotwallet in the casino because the one who is complaining above is still not receiving his withdrawal.

Thanks for the update.
Good to hear it's not some serious illness and he's (presumably) feeling better now. That was posted on 11th Feb though, so over a week. He topped up the campaign escrow address, which is a good sign
That's where I've knew that he was sick as told by the campaign manager. It's likely that he's good again now and healed or just topped it off even when he's sick but what matters is that he's okay and his campaign continues.

but if the site's hot wallet remains drained since then, then that's concerning. Unless he did fill up the hot wallet but it got drained again...
True, as the anonymouscoward said that he's still got his pending withdrawals nearly a month now, does it mean that from there his withdrawal got delayed, only his? Because from the chat box, it's still active and I haven't read some complains there.

So, it's possible that it's not really drained and it's just his withdrawal got delayed or needed to do manually as it's quite big. On the other hand, Pokerplayer could also be right on his case.
275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling/ eSports betting stream on: February 20, 2024, 01:12:19 PM
AFAIK, twitch is kind of difficult with these gambling related contents but you can probably also stream there at the same time.
It's possible if he's only doing the esports betting part, but I think he's better off sticking to kick if he's going to stream both casino games and sports betting.
I see so basically he's just going to stick with kick and then get off twitch when there are casino games and sports betting that he's going to do.

I've heard that Twitch is kind of selective with these type of contents, some get restricted and some doesn't and those that doesn't probably have a connection and favor with Twitch so kick is a better option then.

Glad to see people are interested in the eSports betting. Most likely I'll cover a couple games as well as give a parlay prediction/tip for people if they want. I will be betting on the games also but I keep a fairly neutral take on games if I'm doing any sort of casting or commentary.

I'm also thinking of not using the webcam for a period of time until I reach a certain amount of viewers for a face reveal. May choose to not show my face at all to be honest, doesn't really add much to the stream
Many are actually esports bettors here and fans. As for your face reveal, just do your thing man and make it like a progress for your audience to get excited.
276  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can we act against scammers, hackers and criminals? on: February 20, 2024, 12:20:16 AM
Knowledge and Awareness are the best weapons how to avoid scammers and hackers.
I reckon. When everyone is aware of the scammers and hackers then from a lot of victims, there's gonna be the sudden drop of the numbers of them.

Being knowledgeable is making you aware of these scams and hacks tactics and make you avoid the typical ones that you know. And as for the newbies, having the basic knowledge is a good start for them not to fall for these traps.

I can add to the list at the top: Don't be greedy. There's no need for any description with that because whoever is greedy falls for their schemes.
277  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC hit 1M ? on: February 19, 2024, 08:34:06 PM
Like what we always say, only time will tell when.

But if you're suggesting these things about providing a good retirement money and plans for our kids, did you already have it? I assume that you do because when we talk that there's something that other people must do just as what we do, we should follow that first.

I'm with you about reaching it very soon but no one can tell when will be that time. And also, the idea of investing for the future of our children has been there but don't forget to get some chunk for yourself to enjoy it.
278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling/ eSports betting stream on: February 19, 2024, 06:19:42 PM
I have no idea that kick is kind of having a lot of audience now. Did you do your study on how much potential watchers you'll have? AFAIK, twitch is kind of difficult with these gambling related contents but you can probably also stream there at the same time.

Think anyone would be interested in watching from this forum? [..] would also be looking to do crypto giveaways during the streams.
Because of the latter then maybe there will be people that will like to watch how you gamble and place onto those bets while waiting for the mechanics on how to get qualified with your giveaway.  Cheesy
279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Quick profit is the only reason why we invest in Altcoins on: February 19, 2024, 11:04:48 AM
Aside from the belief of the technology and use case that they have, it's also how profitable they are as what they believe.

There are comparisons for the gains that they make in Bitcoin and also in altcoins. But if it's about with the assurance, no doubt that you can sleep well while holding Bitcoin.

Whilst for the volatility of most altcoins, they can fly by night and be gone by tomorrow in terms of liquidity. This applies to those projects that are unknown but as with the established ones, it's about the ups and dumps.
280  Economy / Services / Re: 3 Jobs available on: February 18, 2024, 11:12:04 PM
There are no payment options through the site.
So that means that the employer can simply runaway if ever the job was done? I think that you should also work as the mediator to secure payments of the workers there. Like what we have in here, escrowed funds as what bitcoin arena mentioned.

Most freelancing websites are like that.

And that post of 15 ETH for an data entry/typing is a lot. It also means that employer can just input any amount posted on each of their job posts?

I'm just curious how the website secures each other's side for job hunting, payments for employee of employer?
