I've got an HP Elitebook 2570p with an i7, just waiting on a drive adapter for it so I can toss a HDD in it, then it would be ready to go. I could let it go for 130 once that happens.
I'd have to do a little research on that laptop but it sounds appealing to me. Would you have any other specs for that laptop by chance? it's on the smaller side as far as the screen, I believe it's 12 inches. I just installed a 128SSD in it, and it has a (2nd gen?) i7 quadcore in it... I think it's got 4GB or 8GB of RAM, has a bit of a physical damage blemish on bottom corner, I'll take pics tomorrow once I install Windows 10 Education Edition (same as enterprise version, highest version available.) and I can install whatever else you want on it too, just ask! Sounds good, I'll send you a message in a minute about that. I seen laptops go for $70 exactly for what youre looking for which is "internet browsing" which is the google chromebook.
Theres 2 versions of the chromebook, but the older model is the same with Googles OS- you should look on ebay.
I'd have to check to see Chrome OS' compatibility with Eclipse and Android Studio, but if those programs work on Chrome OS then that would definitely be a solid option for me. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll look into it if a deal with Blazed falls through. |

I'm looking into purchasing a cheap used laptop and charger (cheap as in <= $130 USD shipped) and was wondering if anybody here has anything up for grabs. I'd be using this laptop mainly for internet browsing and some light programming (Android Studio and Eclipse mainly). I'd prefer a laptop with a higher capacity HDD than a laptop with a lower capacity SSD.

It is the G1 Gaming Edition and I am still taking offers before I put it on ebay.
If you want to get this card moving I suggest adjusting your price according to the market value of these cards. I see GTX 980 Ti's going for anywhere between $390 - $450 USD on eBay. Subtract a ~ 13% fee from that for eBay and PayPal fees, and you end up with a range of $340 to $390 USD. If you priced your card somewhere right in that 0.85 BTC range I suspect it would move fairly quickly. |

They apparently already have DDOS protection so that shouldn't be a reason why they aren't work. Plus gambling sites rarely get DDOS, its usually pools.
It sounds like they're just trying to get their DDOS protection working correctly before bringing the site back online again. Although pools tend to be the targets of DDOS attack more often than gambling sites, Rollin.io is the victim of a DDOS attack. |

Many sites are under DDOS attacks from time to time, little and big one`s. First I didn't know what that means, but after informing myself on internet I saw some interesting facts.
- $150 can buy a week-long DDoS attack on the black market. TrendMicro Research. Specialized online marketplaces exist to buy and sell botnets or individual DDoS attacks. Using these underground markets, anyone can pay a nominal fee to silence websites they disagree with or disrupt an organization’s online operations. A week-long DDoS attack, capable of taking a small organization offline can cost as little as $150.
-More than 2000 daily DDoS Attacks are observed world-wide by Arbor Networks. ATLAS Threat Report, Botnets can generate huge floods of traffic to overwhelm a target. These floods can be generated in multiple ways, such as sending more connection requests than a server can handle
So basically someone just need to give 150 $ ( more or less ) to shut down some site for a week. That is just crazy in my opinion. Probably one of bad sides of black market.
If you're interested in reading a little more about DDOS attacks, this is an interesting article. Although you can rent out a botnet to launch a DDOS attack, there are usually ways to get around DDOS attacks as well. In the article I linked to above, Cloudflare explained how they successfully mitigated a 65Gbps attack launched against one of their customers, and how the customer's site wasn't affected at all by the attack. If what I've heard is accurate, Rollin.io is pricing out their Cloudflare options to prevent these sorts of attacks in the future. |

They seem to be having major security breeches. Hopefully within w few days all will be well and running smoothly again. It shouldn't be long now. As far as I know Rollin.io hasn't had any sort of security breach. They've been hit with huge DDOS attacks the past few days though, and are trying to mitigate it. |
