621  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTB] LEPA 1600W PSU, or any quality 1300W+ PSU on: September 01, 2015, 01:09:46 AM
I'm looking to purchase a LEPA 1600W PSU, or any other decent quality PSU that's capable of outputting 1300W or more. The PSU would be shipped to Canada, and my budget is $200 USD shipped. I remember seeing LEPA 1600W units sell for ~ $150 a few months ago, and ideally if someone was willing to part for a LEPA 1600W unit around that price it would be perfect. Or, if you have a server PSU set up for mining capable of over 1300W I'd probably be interested in that as well. I'm happy using a trusted escrow, but if for whatever reason you don't want to, I request that you send the unit up front, and I'll send the payment after verifying everything works as should. Let me know if you have a PSU you're willing to part with for around that price!
622  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] Raspberry Pi 2 + Case on: August 30, 2015, 11:41:27 PM
I have an extra, but with shipping not sure. It has 16 gig SD, case, + heat sinks on it.
I'll send you a PM in a moment, hopefully we can sort something out!
623  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTB] Raspberry Pi 2 + Case on: August 30, 2015, 11:33:56 PM
I'm looking to purchase a Raspberry Pi 2 and case. My budget is $40 USD shipped to Canada. Let me know if you have a Pi 2 and case you're interested to sell and we'll take it from there. I'd like to pay via bitcoin, and request that the seller either send the items up front, and then I pay upon receiving, or we use a trusted escrow instead. If you have any questions either post here or PM me, and I'll get back to you. I'd be willing to pay a little extra if an SD card is included as well.

I was able to verify the message. Try using this instead:

make sure the message formatting is correct when pasted into whatever you're using to verify. At first, Electrum didn't verify it correctly until I fixed the formatting.

If there are any slots free i would like to apply to this signature campaign. Thanks!

Campaign is currently full, but I'd have to deny you anyways due to poor post quality.
626  Economy / Services / Re: Need An Escrow To Do A Specific Trade. (Details Inside) on: August 29, 2015, 02:51:15 PM
Pick an escrow out of this list. You shouldn't trust escrow providers who come to you for work, because it seems often times that attracts people with very little or no trust, which defeats the point of escrow. The escrow is supposed to be a trusted middleman.
627  Other / Meta / Re: 14 days banned ? ? ? on: August 29, 2015, 01:51:34 PM
Like hilariousandco and --Encrypted-- mentioned, it says why you were banned right on the top of that screenshot you provided. It's also clear to me that you were spamming for signature campaign payouts, your post quality is terrible. If you don't want to get banned again, increase your post quality.
628  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: DjVoodoo/Crazytragator sent me fraudulent Amazon cards and demanding payment on: August 29, 2015, 01:08:46 AM
I was just able to completely read through this thread (took awhile but definitely interesting) and I have to side with DjVoodo on this one. turtlehurricane/theturtleisalive, like it's been mentioned before, it would be far easier to trust your side of the story if you can provide some proof of sending the gold back. Anything really, a tracking number, receipt, email correspondence with Amazon, or let a trusted escrow into your Amazon account to verify that the order status is "Returned", "Return in progress", or something similar to that.

Also, I'm sure I wasn't the only one to see the copy-paste spam posts you were making yesterday to bump up over a dozen old threads involving Quickseller. I think a ban for that was totally justified, because this forum has rules against spamming. I don't believe your banning had anything to do with Quickseller, but rather breaking forum rules that you should have known (you're a Hero member so you've been here awhile, you should have known the rules).

You said a few posts back that you'd call Amazon in the morning and receive proof of returning the gold that you weren't supposed to receive. Did you ever end up doing that? Right now it looks like you posted that message, went on a spamming spree about Quickseller, and then received a ban on your main account. In the last couple of posts this thread has really gone downhill, good luck with making your new forum and all but I'm sure if you are able to provide solid proof that you returned the coin to Amazon, or are in the process of doing so, Quickseller will rethink his rating (I talked to him about this and he told me this). I suspect that your ban is temporary, so providing proof of shipping the coin back is in your best interest. You could have the red flair removed from your account and just move on with things.

Awesome, one more suggestion i was thinking something like this:
snip
He could probably add an option for a fancier image like that. I like how it is now, because like prodigy8 said, it uses very little ink when being printed compared to your suggested design.
630  Economy / Services / Re: [FULL] Rollin.io Signature & Avatar Campaign - NEW RULES Aug. 12th on: August 27, 2015, 01:37:19 PM
Hmm, I was just looking at the campaign spreadsheet, and noticed that only 16 out of 27 of my posts have been counted so far. Now, of course, the first 2 I made shouldn't be considered (and are clearly against the rules stated in the OP), but I don't understand why 9 others were excluded - could you please let me know which posts were excluded and why?
Sure, I'll aim to send you a PM with the posts I didn't count in the next couple hours. I'm a bit busy right now but you should see a PM later today.

I would like to unenroll from this camp, thanks for the previous payments.
No worries, thanks for your participation!

Quote
Q: What happens if my usergroup changes partway through the campaign?
A: You will be paid according to the usergroup you began the campaign with, not the usergroup you ended it with.

Each month the campaign resets when you re-register? If you change your forum member rank mid-campaign the payment won't be affected for just only that monthly period or for all the campaign?
I should reword that rule. Basically in short, you'll be paid for the member group you started your month as, not the group you end the month as. However, once you're paid, users can apply again for an open slot for their new member group.

So if you start your month as a Full Member and end a Senior Member, you'll be paid 0.07 BTC for 50 constructive posts, which is the Full Member rate. However, when your payment is sent out, you can definitely apply for a Senior slot if one is open. If not, I'm usually willing to sign users up for a lower paying slot, and move them to a higher paying one, if one opens up.
632  Other / Archival / Re: Updated Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns on: August 22, 2015, 03:24:19 AM
I don't think anyone has mentioned this, but Bit-x has decreased their rates. Full Members now get paid 0.0007BTC per post; I believe the other ranks have gotten a drop in rates as well but I don't know them off the top of my head.
Looks like all ranks minus staff had their prices all dropped by 0.0001 BTC per post.
633  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANNOUNCE] Bitcoin Fog: Secure Bitcoin Anonymization on: August 21, 2015, 10:13:26 PM
I wouldn't trust BitcoinFog - they are a confirmed 'selective' scam.  Sometimes they steal your bitcoins, sometimes not.

The best Bitcoin mixers are:

https://CoinMixer.net - fast and easy to use, no login required, works like bitmixer.io

and

https://DarkLaunder.com - advanced mixer, plus enables you to buy/sell bitcoins anonymously

Both of these sites have TOR mirrors ...
I'd add BitMixer to that list as well. I've never heard of people having issues with BitMixer, plus they seem to have a fairly active presence here on the forums.
634  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: I am out of the mining game :( on: August 21, 2015, 07:57:32 PM
nice FUD, but you're incorrect @ burst being long gone. Just because people expect to get rich overnight, doesn't mean a coin is gone. HDD mining takes almost no power, unlike all of the power-hungry algorithms, and thus is almost always profitable, even if it doesn't make you a millionaire overnight (but what coin does? Do any of you mining with ASICS or GPUs even make much of anything after the power bill?)

not to mention, it has been proven to barely work the drives at all, never damaging any drive. It actually works them less than just normal HDD use. So mining can continue for a very long time.

ETH may never accomplish anything fully. BURST already accomplished a cross-chain transfer (https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4vYMJwBtRGLLVQ0OElQRzJackE/edit) with their Automated Transactions.

Not to mention, with the new GUI, it is now very easy for anyone to start mining.

So please, quit shilling for ETH, and stop slandering BURST.

edit: oh, did I mention that BURST did all of this with NO FUNDING? Yea.
I'm not shilling for Ethereum or trying to slander BURST, I was just mentioning that "if you have a couple spare GPU's (Ethereum) might be worth looking into" and that I didn't think BURST was a very profitable coin to mine. Take a look at my post history, I've never mentioned Ethereum before either, I was just saying that I've heard Ethereum is a profitable coin to mine.

Also, I'm not sure how you figure BURST mining is profitable either. According to this calculator, you'd be making about 0.011 BTC per month if you used a 3 TB hard drive (so your initial cost would be ~ $85 USD, and that's a very conservative estimate as well). 0.011 BTC per month would barely cover the power cost of running an efficient BURST mining setup (let's say an RPi + HDD, that would take about 10 watts), but just for fun let's say that you aren't paying power costs. With an income of 0.011 BTC per month ($2.55 USD) it would take you 33 months to pay off your investment of just the hard drive. Keep in mind that this would be on a super efficient setup as well. If you pay power, and run the hard drive for BURST mining in a desktop, you wouldn't make any money because of power costs. A desktop would take ~ 40W (conservative estimate again), which would cost more than $2.55 USD to run for a month in most areas in North America. Please correct me if any of my numbers are off, but they should be fairly accurate.

It's great that BURST completed a cross-chain transfer, did everything without funding, and barely uses hard drives, etc, etc but I wasn't talking about what the coins accomplished, I was talking about what coins are profitable for mining.
635  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Receiving money from Brazilian Friend to Canada? on: August 21, 2015, 06:36:36 PM
Paypal can only be used for purchases, not money transfer.
If the funds are sent through friends and family you can transfer money through PayPal. VirosaGITS could use that method (without having problems) if he's receiving money from his friend.

637  Economy / Services / Re: [WTB] - Rent SHA256 Mining Rig on: August 21, 2015, 05:58:02 PM
Are you referring to NiceHash with the above comment?
I don't know if NiceHash offers the feature of switching pools partway through a rental (although I suspect they do - it's a pretty standard feature) but they do offer pointing to a pool of your choice, so you aren't stuck with mining straight bitcoin.

I do know though that MiningRigRentals and BetaRigs both allow renters to mine anything SHA-256 that they want, and allow renters to change pool configurations partway through a rental.
638  Economy / Lending / Re: need 0.51 btc on: August 21, 2015, 05:45:23 PM
Ok, just entered his UID into potential activity calculator and found he have 294 potential activity, which makes he enough to be a Sr. Member, and make his account worth a bit more than normal Full Members (about 0.15). However 0.51 is still a lot more than the account's value (and most posts of the account is in the Games and Rounds board, also).

Where can i find the calc?
There's a thread where you can download it and run it yourself, but if you don't want to do that you can use it here: http://bitcoins.net.in/get_activity.php
639  Economy / Services / Re: [WTB] - Rent SHA256 Mining Rig on: August 21, 2015, 05:42:54 PM
The thing is I'm not actually looking to mine Bitcoin per say.. Do the above sites offer the option to choose which coin you mine depending on the details I provide them with?
You can mine whatever coin you want with your rental, as long as it's an SHA-256 coin (or whatever algorithm you decide to rent). You have full control over where the miners are pointed, and in my experience you can also decide to change where the miners are mining whenever you like during the rental time.
640  Economy / Services / Re: [WTB] - Rent SHA256 Mining Rig on: August 21, 2015, 05:33:21 PM
There are a bunch of different sites you can use if you're looking to rent some miners out.

Some examples are BetaRigs, NiceHash and MiningRigRentals. However if you're looking for a contract type service I'd recommend contacting NiceHash and asking about a contract. I think they'd be the best to organize a longer term contract (1-3 months) with.
