WTF? I wish I could un-see that.

And what's with the background? Dancing honey badgers and Amanita Muscaria?

Thank gawd Bitcoiners aren't all geeks like Ethereum nerds seem to be.

Then again, don't some Russian monks drink each other's Amanita urine to catch a buzz?

I think I'll stick to good ol' ethanol and cannabinoids, thank you.
2602  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 02, 2018, 04:12:22 PM
Good morning Bitcoinland.

Still going sideways... currently $6547USD/$8392CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

C'mon Bitcoin. I was hoping for a price rise before I have to sell a coin or 2 in about a month to pay for my dental implants.

...assuming the next few years are going to be a down-sloping shit-show...

I wouldn't make that assumption.
_____

Sorry to hear you're still bummed out. Hope you're feeling more positive soon.

I liked you better when you were having fun. Your statuette-making phase was a hoot.

Good morning Bitcoinland.

Sideways 'r' us... currently $6422USD/$8299CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

Shouldn't the summer doldrums be done soon?

Why is Ethereum separate from all the other shitcoins?
2607  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 17, 2018, 07:38:19 PM
A very late good morning Bitcoinland.

I see we had another little dip back to where we were 5 days ago... currently $6299USD/$8199CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

Bouncy bouncy. Not deep enough for me to buy. Paid this price last week.

Yawn.

2609  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 14, 2018, 12:14:41 AM

I find it appropriate that the comparison is between Ethereum, a scammy shitcoin, and overpriced low-quality Apple garbage.

Fitting.  Cool

Sell high, buy low

Buy low, sell only when absolutely necessary.

Rich? Maybe in theoretical dollars but ask any of these coin sluts if they are planning on cashing out and they will scratch your eyes out.

Cashing out? You mean like selling all your coins to hold fiat currencies?

That kind of foolishness doesn't make me want to scratch your eyes out. It makes me want to pity you.
2611  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 06, 2018, 04:00:33 PM
Good morning Bitcoinland.

I see our buying opportunity is still here... currently $6430USD/$8486CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

Rick: "How much BTC should I buy ?"
Me: "Ten"
Rick: "Honey, that's sixty-five thousand doll-hairs !"
Me: (raising a curious eyebrow, knowing that's "play-money" to Rick) "Fine. Buy one then."
Rick: "How about three ?"
Me: "Fine. Whatever."

I don't understand the guy lately.

People are strange.

Bah.

You've got 65 grand in fiat? Geez, that's a lot.

Most of my cash is in Bitcoin.

Just got home from the ballpark.

It finally dipped to where I consider it a buying opportunity but all the local low-buy-fee ATMs are closed.

My closest usually low-buy-fee ATM went from 3% earlier today to 21.4% now. Ridiculous.

The fairly close 1.7% buy fee ATM doesn't open until 9:00 AM. That's past my bedtime.

Hopefully I'll still be able to buy cheap coins in the AM.
2615  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 05, 2018, 03:16:22 PM
Good morning Bitcoinland.

I see we had a little dip back down to where we were on Friday... currently $7019USD/$9242CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

Not quite enough of a dip to get me buying but enough to get the crybabies going. Oh boohoo, we just went back 5 days.

How easily they start talking about unrealistically low prices. They had plenty of opportunity to buy when we were down around $6k. If they missed the boat it's their own fault.
2616  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin on the LOW! on: September 04, 2018, 04:52:26 PM
Bitcoin holders who have 4,000,000 Bitcoins purchased before 2011 for $100 or $200, they have the Bitcoin market.

When they sell, bitcoin is going to $2000.

Bitcoins purchased before 2011 cost less than a dollar each, not $100-$200. Remember that a $20 pair of pizzas cost 10,000BTC in 2010.

Anyone holding since then is unlikely to sell more than a tiny amount if they absolutely must sell, maybe a couple of hundred coins if they needed a couple of million dollars to buy something.

I seriously doubt Bitcoin will ever go below $6k again.
2617  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 04, 2018, 03:55:45 PM
Good AM Bitcoinland.

I see we touched $7.4k... currently $7374USD/$9720CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

Labor Day's done, September's in full swing. 'Tis the season for Bitcoin to start movin' on up.

Go Bitcoin go.
2618  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Quantum computer could kill bitcoin on: September 04, 2018, 03:30:40 PM
The same hashing algorithm (SHA256) used to encrypt Bitcoin is also used by the banks and military.

If it's cracked by quantum computers, Bitcoin is the least of our worries.
2619  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why do people feel inferior ? on: September 04, 2018, 03:22:33 AM
I keep wondering why people are always feeling inferior, I have came to realise that most person feel inferior because they look down on themselves, because they are emotionally broken, their ego have been bruised and battered, they have lost confidence of their self, the above stated factors and many more has proven to be reason why people feel inferior, sometimes it may be as a  result of their past experience maybe the way people speak to them in the past.

You sound like a teenager.

Teenagers are usually broke, given little respect except by their equally inferior peers, are at an age of natural resentment and rebellion against their elders and superiors, and so tend to do negative things like treating their peers as somehow superior to their parents.

It would be easy to identify that it as just a normal phase of development but that's not what they want to hear, even if that's the truth.

This is why, statistically, adolescence is the age with the most suicide and inclination towards escapism through drugs. If only they weren't so hell-bent to rebel against their parents. maybe more would realize what a gift life is.

Most children under the age of 15 have a positive outlook on life. Likewise most adults over the age of 30 embrace life. It's adolescents in the 15-30 age bracket who put themselves through hell.

If only they could learn that life really does begin at 40 (it's not just a cliche) they might not be so negative. Personally, I found that life didn't really become fantastic until the age of 60. Now that I'm in my 70s it's even better.

Unfortunately, advertisers realize that younger consumers are more vulnerable to their propaganda (most over-30s have already figured out what they want) so they pander to younger consumers by promoting youth as being desirable. Pity.

You think, "most person feel inferior because they look down on themselves, because they are emotionally broken, their ego have been bruised and battered, they have lost confidence of their self" but that's probably because most people you know are adolescents aged 15-30 who haven't yet learned how wonderful life is. They're the ones who look down on themselves, break themselves emotionally, batter and bruise their own egos and lose confidence in themselves. They simply have to learn to shoulder their own responsibility. That comes with time.

I certainly hope that's the case because if it's not simple adolescent angst, you're really missing the boat.
_________

I hope I don't sound condescending. That's not my intention. I only try to speak the truth.
