I can't really see anyone beating Swiatek, my concern was more about her fitness. I think she's had a shoulder injury recently, and I'm wary of betting on her to make it through 7 matches in a fortnight without that injury flaring up. If she stays fit, yes, the 2.5 looks good.
Swiatek is overwhelming favorite for the title and odds of 2.5 sound almost too good to be true. I guess it is because she never had any significant results on grass but this time i believe it is a case of her being young and exploding just this year rather then her being bad on grass. She looked miles above all competition in last couple of tournaments and I expect her to continue in same fashion.

Not even gonna comment Serena, I don't see her as legit contender against anybody who can make her move around the pitch.

I think currently no one in the women tennis world is even close to taking a set from Swiatek let alone winning the match against her. Some seriously unlucky day must happen that she gets knocked out . So for me this is an easy every much under games and her to win the tournament

On grass there is possibly one who could pose a bit of a threat, Beatriz Haddad Maia from
Brazil is going very strong ATM, After winning Nottingham both singles and doubles she is
through to the semi finals at the Birmingham Classic. She played twice today and won to
meet Halep the second seed, that will be interesting. I think she is one to watch for Wimbledon
and possibly meeting Swiatek.
2602  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Interesting new coin for sale on Etsy - 3d printed. on: June 17, 2022, 05:40:39 PM
Wow thats really interesting on how to open the "coin", you have
to actually destroy it to get to the QR code. There wouldnt be a
chance of getting a fake. The only concern would be the generation
of the wallet address and keys.

When I first saw them I thought they looked a bit cheap and a bit
gimmiky but the photo above and the video make them look less so.
2603  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION] The Times Newspaper Bitcoin 10-Year Anniversary Jan 2019 on: June 17, 2022, 12:08:28 PM
Don't you think $1,000 is a bit steep for an advertisement in a newspaper?

Its an interesting newspaper, its a commemorative piece marking the 10 years of Bitcoin,
the market will decide on a value, I havent seen one for sale yet.

Don't you think $1,000 is a bit steep for an advertisement in a newspaper?

No clue, honestly; will let the market determine.

It might be worth drastically reducing the start price and have a reserve price too,
let people bid with what they are comfortable with when the auction is over you will
have a clearer picture of what you can get.
2604  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Bottom is Actually In on: June 17, 2022, 06:38:52 AM
Not sure if I agree that this is the bottom (because the world is obviously in uncharted territory, though I don't really do TA so you're more qualified); but one thing's for sure — for those that are waiting for lower prices, this spot is definitely a great spot to start DCA-ing.

Yea in this current world economic climate its very difficult to call the bottom. We are
heading into a world recession as banks start raising interest rates, both of those
two events havent happened in Bitcoins history so these times are really unchartered
territory for Bitcoin.

But yea great opportunities for DCA'ing
2605  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: June 16, 2022, 09:18:19 PM

When Kyrgios wants to play he can be the best player in the world. But when his mind goes black he will lose instantly and not care about anymore in the match. This happened in his last loss when he lost the first set and didnt care anymore for second against Murray

I have the same feeling like you. When he is the good mood, he can win against the best players in the world but sometimes he just doesn't care. I like to watch him, it is always very entertaining, but betting on Kyrgios is always dangerous as you never know in what mood he is.

I actually watched the match on replay (not live) and OMG he is unbelievable, there is
always controversy with him. Early in the second set he got a tim warning while not
on serve, obviously it didnt go down well with him, he went to his bench, sat down and
had a drink, the tournament supervisor was out talking to him.

Now well done to him for pulling himself together and working the win, but no I
wouldnt bet in him either.

He plays Carreno Busta tomorrow and is favoirite for that.

2607  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Rugby] Union | League // Super|6s|7s|Pro14 | Cups & Tours | Olympics Touch..... on: June 16, 2022, 12:05:10 PM
Jeez Timelord, the Warriors over the Panthers, thats a bit of a long shot!

Regarding the Rabbitohs, yea they are slipping, 7 wins from 14, not good.

Looking at the draws this weekend there are a lot of really close ones.

My first bet of this round is on Nitrogensports with the same odds as you got.

Manly Sea Eagles - North Queensland Cowboys   ML   North Queensland Cowboys @ 1.52   Taken Amount: 0.10 mBTC   Possible Payout: 0.152 mBTC

....:::edit:::....

I'm thinking of betting on both the Broncos and Roosters to beat the favourites, $1 on each!

Eels 1.77  v  2.15 Roosters
Storm 1.13  v  6.6 Broncos
2608  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HODLing strong! on: June 16, 2022, 06:30:40 AM
And all my friends asked me how (and IF) to buy at 60k. I was saying guys, this is not the right moment, wait for the next drop in 2022. Now, if I say "hey this is a good time to buy"... they say nope. Every cycle is the same. And those are they same I tried to orange pill at 700$.

Yea, the novice buy when the market is green and sell when everywhere is red. I wonder how they can make the profit. At this time they will say the dip will go dipper, which also is better than the green going red and dipper red.

If you hold btc, hodl bur if you hold shit coins sorry.

Its funny how that goes isnt it, some people, a lot  of people act on emotions, they
need confirmation to act, but those confirmations for them come at the wrong time,
buying or selling when the markets have already moved drastically for them is confirmation.

I'm very happy at the moment that somebody was willing to sell Bitcoin so I could buy it,
but they are not getting it back at anywhere near this orice from me!
2609  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: June 15, 2022, 06:17:25 PM
Berrettini who is growing and growing into the grass court season, definitely one to watch
along with Cilic who plays Bublik tomorrow.

Draper plays Ruusuvuori tomorrow, the commentators on Amazon Prime recon it will be
a very close match there as Ruusuvuori is kind of under rated.

Berrettini definitely has a chance at Wimbledon, but he's fourth favourite, so I'm not sure there's a lot of betting opportunity.
I think there's a danger with Draper after his eye-catching win the other day that the press will start to get carried away and hyping him massively. There may be good opportunities to bet on him at Wimbledon depending on the draw, but this is only for so long as he continues to fly under the radar. It might be better for Wimbledon betting if Draper loses against Ruusuvuori, to lower his profile a bit and dampen expectations.

Well Draper lost today to Ruusuvuori in two sets so the heat should
come off him a bit now. I actually played one of my Micro bets on
Ruusuvuori to win @ 2.17 so that was nice.

Kyrgios and Tsitsipas are playing each other in Halle right now. Tsitsipas won the first set with 7:5. Interestingly, Kyrgios played two break points in the second set and is currently leading 5:2. It will probably be a total of 3 sets. I didn't think it would be that difficult for Tsitsipas.
Kyrgios is back to his old self, playing one game perfectly with couple of very crowd pleasing shots and then arguing with that same crowd few games later and breaking the racquet.

Looking forward to see Cilic play tonight. He has a though opponent and this match should do nicely to see how good he will be on grass this season.

Well done to Kyrgios, I have stopped being overly interested in him
and wont bet on him. I didnt see the match but Tsitsipas is not
going well on Grass so far.
A bet against Kyrgios in some way is always a viable option IMO...
but not today !!
2610  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION] Painting "BitcoinBird" on: June 15, 2022, 06:02:07 PM
wasn't asking for proof of the work - was simply pointing out you called it a painting and this is quite a bit more than a painting.

Artwork  Wink

Mopar was pointing out that your thread title is incorrect, what you
are auctioning is not a "Painting". You can call it Embroidery, Beadwork,
Mixed Media and/or Artwork. For example:

[AUCTION] Mixed Media Embroidery Artwork - "BitcoinBird"

The piece is very interesting and looks very nice, well executed and  I
figure quite time consuming. Best of luck with the auction.
2611  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "It's Better to Sell Bitcoin Now and Rebuy Lower" Twitted by Peter Schiff on: June 15, 2022, 12:18:54 PM
Yea it May be the bottom
It May go lower
It May go sideways for weeks

Anyone can come up with comments like those.

I would do the opposite to what Schiff says, Buy now and if the market falls further buy
more!
2612  Economy / Speculation / Re: Peter Schiff Advices Don't Buy the Dip on: June 15, 2022, 06:25:06 AM
Peter Schiff's advice might end up to be the thing that would turn the tide. There was a funny pattern being detected on a social media platform that every time Peter Schiff talks about Bitcoin, or more particularly trolls or criticizes about it, the more the price rises. Of course this is just some funny thing they play with against the old man.

Kidding aside, who would not be buying Bitcoin at this cheap a price? An opportunity as golden as this doesn't come knocking on our door too often. Let's grab it!

I dont know about that trend of price rise correlating to Peter Schiff's "advice" but he
isnt going to influence Bitcoiners or anyone else who has been sitting on the sidelines
waiting for such a price opportunity.

When the price was $60k + a lot of people were thinking I should have got into Bitcoin
when it was $20k or I should have bought more.

and when we hit $60k again I'll bet there will be people cursing themselves for
following Schiff's "advice".
2613  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: June 14, 2022, 08:33:01 PM
At Queen's Club Championships the match between Ruud and Peniston has just ended, with a clear defeat in two sets for Ruud (tie break both sets).
Bad performance for the Norwegian (seed player number 1!) , absolutely not at ease on this surface (he slipped a couple of times and missed sensational shots).
Definitely a long way from the form condition shown at Roland Garros Roll Eyes
Peniston could be the "Van Rijthoven" of this tournament? Smiley

Its definitely worth watching him, he plays Cerúndolo on Thursday and he is classed as
a clay court player or at least he favours clay so there could be an opportunity there!

I know there is talk about the British lads doing well but Evans is already out, losing to
Berrettini who is growing and growing into the grass court season, definitely one to watch
along with Cilic who plays Bublik tomorrow.

Draper plays Ruusuvuori tomorrow, the commentators on Amazon Prime recon it will be
a very close match there as Ruusuvuori is kind of under rated.
2614  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Loading a DIY Collectible on: June 14, 2022, 12:17:38 PM
@krogothmanhattan @MoparMiningLLC thanks for the tips, I'm planning on picking up
a cheap used laptop and I will be able to delve into its guts and remove the wifi card.

@wheelz1200 I have some coins which are DIY loadable and have holograms which can
be applied. The only end game is to load them as they were intended with some Satoshi's.

@Todamont I dont have any such hardware so I cant say I'll be using that. The actual process
seems quite simple, the address and private key will be stored on the coin with a tamper
proof hologram.

I get it that scans can be made and do happen but the excersize of creating the address
and keys is what intrigues me, I wont be loading any coin with substantial amounts of Bitcoin.

2616  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Tulip Mania 2.0 on: June 14, 2022, 06:34:42 AM
Ah here go again with the Tulip comparison, I wonder how many times this has been brought
up in the past already? and yea always when rhere is a big price "correction".

At what point along this fictitious journey back to $1000 will there be MASSIVE buy pressure?
At what point will more people realise its an unbelievable opportunity to avail of the SUPER
KNOCK DOWN CLEARANCE SALE price for Bitcoin and sell everything to buy Bitcoin?

Now perhaps?
2617  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Rugby] Union | League // Super|6s|7s|Pro14 | Cups & Tours | Olympics Touch..... on: June 13, 2022, 10:14:44 PM
You are going well this round Timelord, its looking like a clean sweep this round for you.

The Warriors v Sharks game has just started and I'm just after picking up the Sharks at 1.2!
and yea the Eels should do the business against last place Bulldogs.

*2nd edit*

W
T
F

??

In the case of the Eels, its funny how they are in the top 5 having lost some games which
they really should have won.

They've done it again - I don't even know what was on offer for the Bulldogs.  I wasn't paying attention.

Still Seven from eight is my best round to date!

W the actual F is wrong with the picture above? not even close scoring, was there only 2
Eels players on the field? thats abnormal, I wont be betting on them any more this season
waaaaay too risky.

Round 9 they beat the ladder no.1 the Panthers the following week the are beaten
by the Roosters, its a real mixed bag of a season. Every team here on in should be looking
at the Eels and figuring they can be beaten.
2618  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION] 12 Banknotes "Moor's head" By ArtiKando & 4 ORIGINAL PROOFS on: June 13, 2022, 10:04:32 PM
Lot Y - 0.002

Really interesting to see these being offered, I first saw ArtiKando's work from this
thread > https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5395188.msg59904848#msg59904848

....:::snip:::....

Making a work unique has always been my goal. So I made these "banknotes" in a limited series (strictly by hand), subsequently printed on a 90 gr paper individually, 21 banknotes (only 21) symbolically as the 21 million of bitcoin, each banknote has an "hr" indicated by a code that identifies the precise position of the manufacturing "defect".
The technique used is BIC pen, yes, just a pen and fantasy!
They will then be individually numbered by hand, with an embossed stamp (unique identifier code of the banknote).
It contains numerous details, for example, the morse code indicated on the back of the banknote and the hash of a pleasant bitcoin transaction (it's up to you to find out). I also tried to "create" a fake watermark using only the colours and overlays to make it a particular note.
The project was born for fun, a challenge that I wanted to launch to try new drawing techniques, and for love I feel for bitcoins!
I think the character represented is known to most people, made as a Moor's head (Sicilian) because the idea was born in this wonderful place that is Sicily. Many will turn up their noses, but this is also a peculiarity that distinguishes the work.

....:::snip:::....

@bitbollo - are you auctioning these on behalf of Artikando?
2619  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Act to defend privacy or resign ourselves to its loss? on: June 13, 2022, 05:21:52 PM
Some great points made by many on the thread. My take is similar to others. ATM privacy
is becoming more and more inconvenient, divulging personal information makes it
easier to conform.

I personally am becoming more and more conscious of my privacy, that I have learned
from this forum. I have started removing profiles from various sites, forums and exchanges,
back tracking.

Regards Bitcoin we have to fight to hold on to what privacy we still have by trading
peer-to-peer and using trusted escrow's for example.

Even if we have gone through KYC/AML policies we xan abandon the services which
they are attached to and opt for the alternatives above
2620  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: June 13, 2022, 06:23:59 AM
There is an interesting game for me tomorrow on halle tournament rublev will be facing basilashvili on a grass court despite rublev being the heavy favourite i expect the game to be really competitive because we have seen basillashvili performing really good against kyrgios in their last game and he even won a set against him in grass i think he can win a set against rublev or at least a bet on a handicap may be a good idea.

IDK, In my mind Basilashvili has gone off the boil a little although I havent seen him on
grass yet. I checked on this site their prediction and they favour Basilashvili in 3 so yea
it could be a bet worth considering...

https://lastwordonsports.com/tennis/2022/06/12/atp-halle-day-1-predictions-rublev-basilashvili/

I really like to see this kind of tournaments, when a unknow made a beatifull tournament and in this case also be the champion. And against the next top 1 of the world.

This kind of magic doesnt see to much in the too much profesional era.

Luckily I didnt have a bet on this final, I was looking at Medvedev but the odds were poor
and I didnt bother with the handicap, I'm sure a lot of people lost out.

Its a dream win by van Rijthoven at his home event, this doesnt happen too much in the
ATP but happens regularly in the WTA and as recently as last US Open when Emma Raducanu,
a qualifier won the tournament!
