Just to reiterate, I think the web site format is great. Its the content that needs to be tweaked.

Sorry guys - but new site doesn’t look like like promo site of «first and only already working, easy and ready to use anonymous coin» for ordinary people. It looks like techno-blog for crypto-geeks testing prototype who already know everything about Darkcoin. So this new site is great for active adepts of Darkcoin - OK. But to attract new people - IMO we need smth like https://bitcoin.org site. May be we need to have bouth 2 sites: 1. Promosite to attract users-investors with professional design, usability, promo articles, video, ... with simple interface (strong selling site). Click to understand -> Click to download -> Click to buy. No distracting info. 2. Techno-blog with all the information for adepts that already use Darkcoin and intrested in RS, mining pools, updates and all such stuff ... +1 Like the "First and only fully-functional and easy-to-use anonymous coin." The first thing newbies see now is some Mandatory update that sounds like the coin was broken & needed an urgent fix. Not the best key selling message. Also - the first line of definition people may still read is soooo boring: Darkcoin (DRK) is an anonymous digital currency based on the Bitcoin software. - To me it sounds very much like just another BTC clone. Totally agree. The new site is quite poor in terms of design, layout and presentation. This site undersells our technology. Even the old site was better. I'm a bit disappointed. We need some pros to build a site for us.Agreed on this point. Tungfa, I think you have your next crowdfunding project... Its not the site thats the problem, its the content. We need an experienced PR and comms person on board. I have suggested this a few times before but have to admit I gave up pushing the concept after I met some mild resistance from parts of the dev team. To attract new money we need to appeal to somebody who doesn't know or doesn't even need to know what a release candidate is for example. |

I'm not affected by the Mintpal problems but its a bit shabby that they haven't tweeted an update for 24+ hours.
The people with coins in wallets must be very worried about the lack of contact.
It almost makes me want to join twitter and express my mild annoyance at the situation.

Whats wrong with the price why the hell is it not going up  this makes me sick ........ Don't worry about it! The only way today's price affects you is if you were going to SELL today...if not, don't worry about the day-to-day price fluctuations and be secure in the knowledge that this coin has something to offer long term. I had a similar message recently to tell me that one of my instances was going to be stopped on a certain date due to it being hosted on failing hardware. All I had to do was stop it and start it again which launched it on correctly functioning hardware. All I had to do was start the 6 darkcoind instances I had on there. So here we are. Maybe some big money is taking a position in DRK... Does not seem so. Darkcoin's rich list has not changed recently and there are no real big moves there https://chainz.cryptoid.info/drk/#!rich How is that even remotely accurate with Darksend? I'm well within the top 100 but I am not going to show up because my coins are masternodes. Agreed. We've seen huge buys being made and sudden spikes in the number of masternodes running. None of my wallets ever have more than 1000DRK in for more than a few days. |

3 weeks or 90% masternode updated, whichever happens sooner. I have a feeling the 90% will happen a bit sooner. EDIT: 510 MNs updated already Evan said 90% of the network, right? I took that to mean MN's as well as pools and normal nodes. Good point. I am not clear on whether he meant MNs and Ns. If both, we probably have three weeks  |

My masternodes are purring along still today.
The release seems to have reduced bandwidth requirements quite a lot too.
Combine the faultless release with sensible market movement and it makes Friday's massive step forward even more exciting.

Price is muted. Tech works. Not sure what to think. People are unaware?
1) Not enough time to convince the observers that everything is fine yet. 2) Relatively few people are on RC5...only 140 masternodes so far. Maybe waiting until more have updated and reported back 3) Nervous because of previous update problems 4) People may be unaware as you say Personally, I'd be happy with a nice steady creep up to 0.008 and a fast takeup rate by the community. The sooner people update, the sooner we can enforce. |

That wasn't even a big dump. less than 500 I think. It showed big red candle on the chart because the space on the depth chart between buy and sell is relatively big.
Yeah, think it was about 3BTC during a period of low volume. My masternodes are flying now. Network settling down nicely. |

That big dump coincided with an apparent masternode issue that was being discussed on darkcointalk, but the person has just confirmed that it's now all fine. So possibly someone overreacted and dumped thinking RC5 was broken, and is now hoping they can buy back at a reasonable price before the press release gets picked up. Was that me? One post by me can make somebody dump? Wow! As said by devs and others, masternode network takes a while to settle and propagate after a big update like this. All my nodes are fine after seeming a bit up and down. Masternode count is growing nicely as more updates propagate around. |

How did you manage to update the wallet to the 1k keypool so quick? had you previously updated and transferred the funds to v.32 ? Yes, created all new wallets v.32 a while back. I've been raring to go since 6am GMT+1! |
