Damn!! The guy's a f*ckin' robot I tell you! What's this going to do Will break inputs for DS tx's across multiple masternode so no single masternode knows all the inputs per round as it currently stands. Makes the probabilities of blockchain analysis per round exponentially harder because the masternodes are now blind to what other inputs are part of the mix. You're effectively taking Darksend as it currently stands and pumping it full of steroids. And consequently greatly speeds the Darksend process as the same obfuscation can be achieved with far fewer rounds of mixing. Bingo. Great news! When will the innovation end? Never.

I'm sorry for the delay! I've added the service to darkcoin.io direct purchase methods page: https://www.darkcoin.io/using-darkcoin/buy-darkcoin/direct-purchase/I don't post to our social media channels, but I have asked those who do to post something. I also know that stonehedge did a test purchase today and it went fine. As we say in darkcoin.io "DISCLAIMER: This list is provided for informational purposes only. Services listed here have not been evaluated or endorsed by the Darkcoin developers and no guarantees are made as to the accuracy of this information. Please exercise discretion when using third-party services." However, I confirm that William contacted me well before starting development because he needed some data about Darkcoin. I don't know him personally or have any interest in his business, but he seems legit. If he were a scammer he would be a pretty dumb one because his service is limited to the UK and bank transfers I may or may not like the prices, but he is someone developing services in the Darkcoin ecosystem and because of that he has my respect. I can recommend easydarkcoin.com after giving them a try today. Transfer was a bit slow (45 mins) but that is because the owner manually verifies and coins are not kept online I haven't verified my ID with them but might do as a back up option should I need some DRK and usual channels are unavailable. Thank you both for your kind words and your vote of confidence. The service hasn't long launched and as with anything in the crypto world, trust is paramount. I hope your feedback goes a long way to giving users confidence in the service! If anyone has any questions regarding EasyDarkcoin.com then don't hesitate to get in touch with me. Likewise. As discussed earlier, get in touch if you need anything from your friendly UK Darkcoin Ambassador.

Where will the freefall of the price end?
Its not freefall, just a large correction. I think the price will settle around 0.011 today and stay that way for a while.

Is that what you meant? You'll see around early summer time, you're welcome to enter and I'm sure that you'll enjoy it :-) Sounds awesome. Can't wait!

That's a very kind offer and much appreciated, but honestly it is not needed, crypto has been very good to me even with the odd slip ups, I'm still in the fortunate position of having more than I'm likely to need, in fact I'm looking forward to mounting an exciting DRK promotional give away in a few months time.
LOL. If you give me your spare DRK I promise to tell two people a day about Darkcoin

The good thing is, vertoe is already waiting for this release for a while now to incoorporate the improved codebase into Darkcoin :-) I thought we are already based on the latest bitcoin base.. We were...until the new one was released.

From what we can tell there's a uncommon condition on the network (seems to be about 1 in 10 clients), where some databases have became corrupt. Please check your logs for these messages: --
2015-02-15 17:34:26 ERROR: ReadBlockFromDisk : Deserialize or I/O error - ReadCompactSize() : size too large OR 2015-02-15 17:34:26 ERROR: ReadBlockFromDisk : Errors in block header
---
If you find entries like that delete ~/.darkcoin/blocks and chainstate, then resync from the bootstrap:
https://github.com/UdjinM6/darkcoin-bootstrap
Thanks
All my masternodes actually had these in their logs. Have since resynced from bootstrap. I'll be firing up my masternodes tonight now I'm back home. Will probably delete and resync them all too just to be on the safe side.

guys, if you plan do create some crypto business out there use multisignature to secure your funds.
cant believe people losing 7k btc from a "cold storage"...
Its totally bullshit. I trust no exchanges. However, how do you place a wall with no exchanges?
|
|

Shit man. When the cold wallet starts shuffling I start sweating. I really hope Otoh and all are ok in this.

Sucks for the coins that are only listed on btter.

Is there a plan to make setting up a masternode easy on your personal computer? I have heard that it is not suggested.
Edit: I must confess that I do like how SPRs masternodes are setup. Is Evan planning to implement a similar program in wallet? Or is there one already, I haven't updated my wallet in some time.
We want the MasterNodes to be online with a stable internet access. I think they get dropped after ... I don't recall, but by an hour, if wallet doesn't ping, it is dropped off the network. A Masternode can be run at home, just like anywhere else, and now someone has managed to run one on a raspberry pi 2 model B. But if you don't have a stable IP address and your provider changes it, you drop off the network. But if you keep an eye on it, or if like me, your ip address changes very seldom (like only when there is an issue and it's reset) you could do it at home. I find that making sure my box is running properly (which it often isn't) and the electricity cost makes it not worth it. Servers only cost about 5-8 dollars a month and are way more stable than what I have at home. Also, the bandwidth requirements of a masternode are not negligible (although improving with each release). This might put pressure on people with capped broadband. Ahh I'm back from holiday, super relaxed and its great to see so much progress in the last week.
