So? Now are 2100 MNs and the number is increasing!

You argue to argue Smiley I don't tell, that I invested money and Evan must guarantee return of investments, etc. I tell, that MN payouts have to work properly as any other function. I understand, that working process is complex and nothing can be ideal.

It's simple to undestand, that it's not normal situation and you try to prove contrary.

Could you please read it again. DRK is in the development and since it is in the developemt, MNs payments are not going to work like if it was developed, because it is in the development! Work is in fucking progress! Like you go to unfinished house and complain why the elevator is not working as it was promised, well its not fucking working, because on the second floor electrical ecquipent is being install and needs the power to be fucking off for a  few days..  What is wrong with you?

I can't interfere in development process, but I think it's strange situation, that MN enforcement is off several days, but IX testing is in active stage. Maybe MN enforcement (mainnet) is less important, than IX (testnet). Imagine house with previously working elevator and in time people have to go on foot because elevator not working and team work on landscape at the moment.

The dev team have been clear.  There is a fix to be applied and then enforcement will be turned back on today if successful.  Why should this stop the other devs and test team continue with ITX testing?  We are lucky enough to have a big enough dev team to multitask...

What is wrong with everybody?  Just relax.  Everything is fine.

dont get me wrong, im in same pot as rest of MN's  (i took bank loan to buy 1000 DRK so...) i understand your post but can you read:

DARKCOIN IS EXPERIMENTAL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ATM !!!

its beta, call it like that... if you can make my and rest of guys ROI full throttle then be my guest... mail evan and fix this problems you will be my IDOL ! Smiley

nobody is forcing you to put 1000 DRKs to Masternode! its your choice... im frustrated as you because in 6 days i only got 1 payment, 1.74 DRK

but what can i do? nothing ... im trying to help Darkcoin community as much as i can... im on #darkcoin irc freenode trying to help as much as i can

Wink

1. I'm glad that you in the same pot, but others should not share your opinion.
2. Bitcoin is experimental too, maybe let's talk about it? What does it mean? It's only disclaimer.

I don't tell, that someone must do something. I tell, that it's wrong position if you want your business be successful. It's main interest, and large investments will go only if all will work as swiss watch. It's not constructive when you have problem to tell, that nobody forced you to invest, it's beta version and I'm in the same boat. It's unresponsible.

Go and take a peak at darkcointalk.org and you can see the amount of work being put into testing.  There is a general view that quality and release management processes must be improved and this will happen.  It is essential for wider adoption as well as investor satisfaction.

Hi guys. I have a technical question again.
i just set up a masternode . it is shown in drk.mn ,but under the balance tab i see not the 1000 DRK , but NaN. Any ideas what is wrong?
Thank you in advance.

Nothing is wrong.  Drk.mn only checks balances periodically and until then will show NaN (Not a Number).

I set up two new masternodes yesterday and it took about two hours for Nan to disappear and 1000DRK to appear.

Seeing a few longer gaps between blocks.  15 minutes for one confirmation...a rare event for DRK!

What is going on here.
Many new created accounts to spread "FUD"  to SPREAD : probably people from rivals coins or who try to press down the price for trading reasons.
You don't see  so many new created account to warn you where there is real scam.

For me this is one of the signs which show this coin has real potential : I have bought some and mine from time time.

I doubt these accounts are from rival coin supporters.  More likely trader's sockpuppets.  We used to get them all the time on Darkcoin thresd.  A few of them have popped up here.
1908  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SpreadCoin | True Decentralization (No Pools) | Testing New Masternodes on: February 03, 2015, 03:00:53 PM
A question for the devs, has Spreadcoin retained multisig functionality since it was forked from Darkcoin?

AFAIK, it had problems that were fixed by Mr. Spread in the latest wallet. You should try to ask in http://spreadcointalk.org/

Edit found the post where he said that here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=715435.msg10245606#msg10245606

Many thanks for that.  Appreciated.

EDIT:  Its not something we have had much luck with on Darkcoin either although I'm not sure the devs have devoted much time to it yet.

Multisig works perfectly in Darkcoin. Has done for at least six months since I first played with it anyway.

Pretty sure there would be a way to create public pools using multisig.  I'm going to go away and have a think.

If BTC doesn't go to $10,000 over the next few years, then I'll shag a sheep.

Quoted.

Guys, I have several reports from different users that wallet crashes sometimes in incomprehensible manner, stops syncing with strange wallet.dat DB error and so on.
After solving this issues with them privately I'd like to ask everyone now:
Please verify your wallet version reported by getinfo is the most recent one.

That's how you do this:
Open "Tools" -> "Debug console" and type "getinfo". Look for the field "walletversion" and if it doesn't match 61000 please do upgrade your wallet buy running it once with -upgradewallet command-line option. Do not forget to close your wallet first and make sure you have the most recent backup available just in case.

Mine said version 60001 until I used -upgradewallet.

That is weird!  Newly installed QT executable downloaded only a few days ago...

I assume the same sort of method could be used in reverse, reducing MN payments (according to various factors) all the way back to the original 5% or 10% if a Darkcoin acquired a really high value.

That would be a very bad idea.
Right now investors calculate their profits from those numbers and invest accordingly, and changing them at will would make Darkcoin lose a lot credibility.

You have a fair point.  Even if there was an imminent need to tinker, it'd rattle a lot of cages.

Somebody has been busy setting up some masternodes today Smiley

Total Masternodes: 2083 = 2083 actives + 0 inactives [1824 unique IPs] (Last refresh: Mon Feb 02 2015 21:18:19)
Estimated daily payout for an active node (blocks with MN payments last 24h: 94.04%): 0.46 DRK/day (Last Refreshed: Mon Feb 02 2015 21:18:16)

I am curious to see how the "market forces" would play out here - once the number of MNs renders the payouts (almost) unprofitable...

(my "profit", the profit in brackets for I have my Masternode as a token of support for Darkcoin; I myself could not care less does it make the money or not, is at 8.5 DRK per month; 0.46 DRK/day x 30 days = 13.80 DRK per month - 5.3 DRK for MN operator = 8.50 DRK monthly)

If prices increase the fee of the MN operators has to decrease. It's a free market, and another mn operator would provide a service for less in case the original operator does not discount his prices.

I think the sliding scale payment system that Evan devised to encourage more masternodes has been very efffective.  I assume the same sort of method could be used in reverse, reducing MN payments (according to various factors) all the way back to the original 5% or 10% if a Darkcoin acquired a really high value.

Month looking this coin, bought @68 last week, just in time. Hope to see 100 soon!

I bought a load at 70 last week.  I wish I had bought twice as many as I did now.

I guess a lot depends on the price of 1DRK!

I too am curious to see how this plays out.

This rise is completly faked, very dangerous to trade in.At some point the dump will start,be wise and dont buy now.

I disagree with this being faked.  This is new money.  However the risk of dump is there regardless of the course of the rise.

What are your reasons for thinking this is faked?

EDIT:  The Bot that was fillings its own sells was weird but that fake volume disappeared over the weekend.

I have no idea what's going on with the trading over the last day or two, but I've moved both walls up another pip to 0.0072 now, so that they stay visible on the charts, therefore if the price does get dumped it won't be falling further than this level at least.

The wandering walls of Otoh take tiny steps while your backs are turned...

SPR is no a solo-mining(decentralized)coin any longer

Wrong.
So you are the owner of that pool and you confirm that SpreadCoin can not be pool mined? What for is then this pool? Is it only for trusted miners?

Correct, it is extremely unlikely there will ever be any other pools, this was merely a test to that.

And another one...

I'm sure this won't make any difference, some folks only read what they want to.

Do we have a pool? Yes.
It's merely a pool server we setup to solo mine to nothing more, we just so happened to let a couple of other small hashrate users in to help out a bit. Is it a risk? Of course it is.

Mr. Spread has done quite a good job at keeping this coin a solo mineable, that doesn't mean that it will always be that way,  there a lot of smart folks around here and if there is enough $ involved then one should expect that there will be others trying to get in on the action in some form or another.

So how many unique solo miners do you reckon SPR has to make up the current hashrate?
