281  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where will this fluctuation end ? on: November 07, 2019, 07:18:59 AM
I don't think it will ever end, because manipulating the crypto market is very easy! Anyone who has a good amount of money can make the price fluctuations easily! Crypto price goes up and down after every news happens in this world. So, It will never be ended!
That is the whole point of crypto or any other market, it is influenced by the news and also people's sentiments. If the people are confident in the coin or let's say stock then the price is gonna explode and vice versa. So price fluctuations are the main reason why people invest in the market to make money by trading in the market swings.
282  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What do you think of ETH Price will be by end of 2020? on: November 06, 2019, 06:17:54 PM
As we know ETH 2nd best ranking in all the coins and tokens , it's blockchain being used by very big business projects and getting adopted worldwide . It does have its problems , and that is why with frequent updates and upgrades to its technology , ETH is trying the be the best altcoin in this space.

The ETH 2.0 release date has been set in January 2020. So we know there will be very big movement of the price in eth before this date and after that as well . With heavy influence in whole of crypto space, Along with bitcoin ETH will be going to places in price rise.

Now we all know currently ETH has 106 million in circulating supply . about x6 of BTC. Usually eth follows btc price. So if btc will reach 50k by end of 2020, we should expect ETH to be around 8k by then (only if we calculate according to the supply numbers) . But we all know ETH is highly undervalued right now .

So I have two  questions

1. What do you all think ETH Price will be ?

2. Why do you think that price will be possible ? Give us a reason be it technical ?

Lets speculate only until Dec, 2020.
I think there won't be much movement in the price of ethereum in 2020, if there would be any it will be by the virtue of bitcoin block halving. If the price of bitcoin will go up then the price of ethereum will definitely go up.
As ethereum 2.0 is launching in 2020 January, it will require at least an year or a couple of years before its true potential is realized and that will be the time the ethereum will gonna see a price rally.
283  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Big prize for 1 participant in a signature campaign? on: November 06, 2019, 05:52:04 PM
for example: prize allocation for a campaign (signature) is around 2,000,000 tokens and if the project only has 1 participant in the campaign (signature) and when the project has been completed or not scammed, is it true that the participant will get the sum of all tokens (signatures)?
or maybe not at all,  for other reasons?
If we see the ethics then it should be allocated to only one individual. But in real life scenario this will never happen as if the ICO or project is a real deal then people will definitely join in to promote that project and in other case where the project sounds fishy then only no one will join the bounty campaign so it would either be a big loss for that person or it will eb a shared bounty amongst many individuals.
284  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When altcoin season? on: November 06, 2019, 04:26:12 PM
And why? Running late on crypto news last few weeks. Any good new coins on markets?
nothing new but something is being awaited and that's the Halving lol.

altcoin season when Bitcoin turns Bull then surely altcoins will follow instantly just like the normal scenario whenever the bull starts to run.

in 2017 every single Legit Alts makes their way up and grows more than hundred % growth so lets just keep the patient.nothing will come to those who don't want to wait.
Well that's kinda true actually, but the investor should also keep in mind that the Altcoin also increase in price when the bitcoin rise in value, even though a coin remain at the same amount as compared to bitcoin, but if you see the dollar value then it increases with increase in price of bitcoin, so in general people have also gained a lot this year just for keeping their altcoin bag safe.
285  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETHEREUM is only potentially $ 250 in November. on: November 06, 2019, 04:08:17 PM
I predict the price of Ethereum until the end of November is only up to $250 at its highest point. even then, if two resistance of $209 and $225 can be achieved.

following as my prediction. what about your prediction?

The resistances you are talking about are short term and gets higher and higher in a matter of seconds  when the price starts to increase. So even when as you said the price would reach to $209 and $225, there would be new resistance set at even higher levels, but a great trader would predict those resistances and quickly sell their investment when the price touches the resistance level.
After touching the resistance level there are always two possibilities, either the bulls will break the resistance or the bears will come in play. Whatever happens, it will be fun to watch.
286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you sell a million dollars bag of crypto? Would you trust exchanges? on: November 06, 2019, 03:46:02 PM
Just wondering if I want to sell significant amount of crypto, where can I do it ? By significant I mean $250,000+ of crypto.Would you trust Binance / okex / huobi to return their money to you , and how law can protect us from being scammed?
I will definitely trust an exchange for that amount of money as it provides enough liquidity to us for selling our bag and not dumping the price of the coin that we are selling.
Whereas in case of p2p trading I would think twice before that large amount of trade as the person can run away with your money or can scam you in some way, so you should be cautious,as I have been scammed many a times for some large amounts of money.
287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How many ICO and IEO are you already following? on: November 06, 2019, 03:15:59 PM
Today I've decided to sell my car to invest in IEO or ICO.
Is my decision right?
Is it with a lot of investing in IEO can refund my money?
The time when people used to become rich by investing in ICO is far gone, now most of the ICO are complete scam and it will ruin you if you invest in them. Now what you should do is that you should find a coin that you think will outperform the market and will surely rise in price and invest in that.
Also trading is a very risky task but if done correctly done then it can give you immense profit in short amount of time.
288  Economy / Economics / Re: The Risks and Rewards of Cryptocurrencies on: November 06, 2019, 02:36:06 PM
Like everyone else's point of view I hate listening to a podcast and analyzing it, I'd rather read an article. In terms of risk, risk is everywhere in your life. Going to the street or staying at home is also a risk.
If you want to be rich or win when investing in cryptocurrencies, you must take risks and manage it well. Because the greater the risk, the higher the profit, it all depends on yourself.
I think wherever you are and whatever you do you will have risks while the risk depends on how courage you face the risks that exist, if you can face all kinds of risks and can think calmly then there are many benefits that you can get, whereas in the world of cryptocurrency the risk is more high because cryptocurrency price movements no one can predict it.
The thing is that the crypto market works on basic principles like supply and demand, fear and greed etc. So this is the sole reason why the market shows sudden movements in very small intervals of time.
This implies that one day you can be a winner and other day you can also loose half of your savings in Crypto.
289  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin freelancing is dead? on: November 06, 2019, 02:16:23 PM
I'm a person who would like to do some work for Bitcoin, so I monitor freelancing sites occasionally, and at this time I feel like the freelance market in Bitcoin is nearly dead. The Services board is 99% listings of services rather than people who are looking to buy some; XBTfreelancer is empty or has 1-2 projects most of the time; cryptogrind has mostly just ridiculously underpaid projects or again service announcements (shouldn't they be banned there?), and there's also not much available projects overall; workingforbitcoins has very little traffic, just a few projects per month.

It was theorized that Bitcoin will help alleviate poverty by allowing people to work online without any restrictions, but on practice this just isn't happening. In your opinion, what is the reason for this?
In my opinion, more and more people are buying bitcoins just to have an investment in the future or for rainy days, they aren't using bitcoins for normal transactions. The reason behind is the higher fees for transaction as compared to those days where a couple dollars were enough for the transaction to be propagated in the next block or two, but now about every exchange is charging about $10 or more than that for sending bitcoins to any wallet.
290  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 18,000,000 bitcoins have been mined! on: November 06, 2019, 10:27:38 AM
The 18 millionth bitcoin has been mined so only 3 million left to go! Wink
https://thenextweb.com/hardfork/2019/10/19/satoshi-nakaboto-18-million-of-the-21-million-bitcoins-have-now-been-mined
Anthony pompliano posted on twitter when it happened.
https://twitter.com/APompliano/status/1185346573779243008
This is a milestone so do you agree this will pump up the price as we are getting closer to the end of our king of all cryptocurrency blocks being solved? Undecided

This will just act as another block solved. Although this is having historical importance but this event isn't even big enough to pump up the price of bitcoin. The upcoming block reward halving is the event that everyone is looking forward to and are also hoping that it will lead to a pump in the bitcoin price, but if the event s of last block reward will happen then there won't be any pump. Let's hope for the best and see what comes in the coming future.
291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What makes you trust bitcoin related services? on: November 06, 2019, 10:10:00 AM
Hi,

I have some questions where I have been thinking about the past week.
Why do you trust some website/company with your bitcoins?

Let's say a bitcoin casino, what makes you deposit bitcoin?
Is it the provably fair? Does it mean you trust a site when the game is fair?
Is it the looks of the site? The amount of users there are? If there is an open chat where you can see active users?

Or something else that doesn't have a game that's fair, for example a bitcoin exchange, how do you trust them?

Overall: What makes you trust bitcoin related services?

EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT

Another question: What does a new service need to earn your trust?
I trust a bitcoin related service by looking at its user base and reading about it on the social media and forums, if the people are talking good about the website then I will definitely use that website and if not then it's a no for me and I will look for another website or a business.
292  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are You Concerned On Sudden Rise of Bitcoin? on: November 02, 2019, 08:19:53 AM

Bitcoin just made a sudden or abrupt rise hours ago and it reached more than $10,000 before settling at around $9000 as of the moment. Now, I am actually so excited and happy for this development as I also have some Bitcoin hidden somewhere. However, i am a little worried that this very volatile move can be bringing some damage to its overall reputation as a store of value and a future global currency.

Is my concern really valid in the face of this ongoing development?

Bitcoin was at around $3k in the start of this year after that it kept on rising at a slow pace and now it is more than 9k USD. So you should be happy with your investment and not be worried about loosing your profit as it is close to impossible for bitcoin to fall to that level now. You should just keep calm and enjoy your life.
293  Economy / Economics / Re: What makes a Fiat worthless? on: November 02, 2019, 07:44:35 AM
We have come across so many national currency becoming worthless and recently we have heard the news of barter system in Zimbabwe due to the fall in the value of national currency but what really makes the Fiat worthless? Is it corruption or war or national economical crisis? Or the National GDP which makes it fall?
The fiat currency becomes worthless when enough people disagree to accept it and also the country isn't having stable internal affairs like corruption or financial instability. These factors make up the economy of the country and also the purchasing power of their currency.
294  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Share Your Experiences on: November 02, 2019, 06:51:25 AM
Was reading about how Bitcoin first came into existence and people's first experiences with Bitcoin, cryptocurrency, etc on Reddit. I want to know how your guy's first experiences was with Bitcoin, and if you ever had any regrets or wins throughout the years. Also, would be cool to know how people first actually got Bitcoin back nearly a decade ago when it wasn't as easy as buying some from a local Bitcoin ATM near you.
I have had many good and bad experiences in the past related to crypto and bitcoin. I've made a fortune in gambling and also lost tons of money in it. I've been hacked because of installing an app on my laptop that was having a backdoor. But these ups n downs are also an integral part of life and you get valuable experience from these incidents, so yeah I will not repeat those mistakes that I did in the past.
295  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why hasn't any altcoin replaced bitcoin? on: November 02, 2019, 06:25:12 AM
I think bitcoin has been one of the biggest innovations of the human in the past years. Many altcoins have been created after bitcoin. But none of  them have been successful as bitcoin is. Why is that?
Why no altcoin can replace bticoin?
Every new thing and every technology is usually replaced by a newer one as the world is always developing.

The first television built was mechanical, then electronic television were invented, then colour televisions, digital, 3D, ....
The first automobiles invented were steam-powered wheeled vehicles, then electric automobiles appeared. Now we have autonomous cars. Now we have Tesla model S. Now we have Lamborghini.
All of us know about the developments made in mobile phones.

Every thing is being developed. Every device is finally replaced by a newer one. Why no altcoin has replaced bitcoin till now? Do you think it will happen in future?
I personally think people will trust what Satoshi has created more than altcoins till many years later.
Altcoins are created to make the developers rich. But bitcoin is different. Bitcoin was created in favor of us. So, no altcoin can be trusted as bitcoin.

What do you think?
Surely Bitcoin cannot be replaced by this alternative token we know that all of the alternative tokens are just a copy of bitcoin but still the algorithms and system of bitcoin was still different in many ways. We know that there are some alternative tokens that have potential and already have a good price in the market but still, they cannot replaced bitcoin in the game. Bitcoin was especially because it is the first of all of the bitcoin also Market in bitcoin was really big and it already has many investors. Also, there are so many bitcoin mining companies and small companies all over the world that support bitcoin.
But there is also many problems associated with bitcoin, the first one and most important is higher transaction fees and high transaction confirmation times. Where as if we look at ethereum it is having minimal fees with lightning fast transactions and also it supports token that too in the same wallet, so to own many different crypto you just have to get only a single ethereum wallet.
296  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you know if a gambling site is scam or not? on: November 01, 2019, 07:08:43 PM
As long as the gambling site does not have a case for its users. I'm sure the gambling site is safe to play, so there's no need to worry if you want to see the gambling site scam or not. But so far I have never found a scam gambling site.
Well many a times decent looking gambling websites comes out to be scam sites. So said most of the times ponzi sites are decent looking and also pay their customers hourly or daily until they get enough customers to exit scam them and then those sites are declared scam. So the gambler should pay due diligence before putting any money on the website.
297  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to restrain yourself at a small loss and not spend money. on: November 01, 2019, 02:55:09 PM
It often happens that people go out to play a variety of games of chance with a certain amount of money, but in the end they spend everything if they are gone. How to prevent which technique you base yourself on to spend no further. It's hard to just give up, people persistent in gambling that day, so they can't just tell themselves they'll try tomorrow. Why is this difficult? Is it because of greed?
Definitely that's because of greed and also trying to cut back their losses. I have also lost many a times whole of my bankroll just trying to earn few cents over a dollar and lost all the bankroll chasing that bad decision. What I try to do is I decide the amount that I am gonna risk right before starting the session and if I lose then I just go out or do something else, but never chase that loss.
298  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What scares you the most? on: November 01, 2019, 02:30:37 PM
This fun picture got me thinking. https://imgur.com/2GwIL5Y

What are your biggest fear in crypto?
As for me, it's losing my private keys by accident. I know that the risk is minimal, but the thought of it makes me anxious from time to time. Also, I'm afraid that BTC dumps during the transaction.

Waking up one morning and knowing that the whole cryptocurrency market went down to nothing?
Or maybe finding out that all your crypto (or your private keys) was stolen or lost somehow?

By the way, Happy Halloween!
The biggest fear for me in Crypto is also loosing my private keys and getting hacked. I have already suffered from this kind of incidence once when I forgot the keys of one of my wallets and accidentally deleted that wallet and after a few days I got my bounty payment in that wallet but was horrified after realizing that I deleted that wallet.
299  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's worse: cigar addiction or gambling addiction on: November 01, 2019, 12:08:34 PM
Want you addicted to cigarettes or gambling, everything is difficult to get rid of it. But compared to being addicted to gambling, I prefer to be addicted to cigarettes. I know cigarettes are dangerous to health, but the money spent on cigarettes is much cheaper than you gambling. That's what I think about why I prefer to be addicted to cigar / cigarette.
My buddy, cigarette addiction is way more dangerous than gambling, those people who are addicted to cigarettes can even smoke more than a pack of cigarettes every which in long run will cause cancer and also money problems as cigarettes are not cheap everywhere in the world. Gambling on the other hand does demand payment first and any wise man would know that you shouldn't borrow money for gambling.
300  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are People Losing Interest with Bitcoin? on: November 01, 2019, 11:47:42 AM

There seems to be a trend not yet recognized by many experts and that is the withering interest of the people on Bitcoin, especially if we compare today with the days of 2017 and early months of 2018. Of course, we could not expect that people will always like, search and talk about Bitcoin for years. There will always be a plateau and a possible downtrend, sometime somehow.

Is this something we have to accept or should we do something about this?

The trends come and go, that's their life story and the same is happening with bitcoin. People used to search a lot about bitcoin back in December 2017 when it's price peaked as shown by Google trends but that too went down a few months later. The trend of people searching about bitcoin increases with the increasing price of bitcoin and also decreases with decreasing price of bitcoin as per my theory.
