1161  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ride a cab with bitcoin on: January 26, 2017, 04:59:38 PM
Hmmm... I remember reading this story three months back. So how are the things turning out in Italy? Is it going on smoothly, or are they facing some issues with the tax regulations and fiat conversion? I did a quick Google and Reddit search, but there is not much information. Can anyone familiar with Italian language post some recent news about this?

Anyway.. I'll be more happy if Uber or Lyft accepts Bitcoin payments.

Yeah even I noticed that in cryptonews about uber accepting bitcoin as a payment. They are accepting from last year feb right. However, I do not use bitcoins to payment for taxi. If I use the fiat online transaction I use to get the promotion offer like small dollar values.

Uber accepting Bitcoins? When did that happened? Nope. They are not accepting Bitcoin. Most of the news posted in cryptonews is unreliable and inaccurate. The Coindesk has confirmed that this story is false:

http://www.coindesk.com/uber-denies-plans-to-accept-bitcoin-payments/

Uber is having a partnership with Xapo in Argentina. Cryptonews misinterpreted this news and posted that Uber is accepting Bitcoins worldwide.

Here in the Philippines, if you've availed of the BTCBTCBTC debit card from the larget local wallet provider, they give you rebates when using that BTCBTCBTC card for Uber. So in essence, you can get cheaper Uber fares using BTCBTCBTC.
1162  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin to buy everyday needs? on: January 26, 2017, 04:57:05 PM
Here in my place, you can buy almost anything with BTCBTCBTC but only via gift cards.

That aside, BTCBTCBTC debit cards are the way to go.

I make the least bets when it comes to Basketball sport, and those too only on spreads because chances of loss are less.
Minnesota Timberwolves have been playing very acute winning all their matches one by one, but I think that the spread is not much, so I will go with Indiana Pacers +3.5 as I believe that this time again, Timberwolves will win with a closely spread.

The Wolves are on a run, so I suppose they're gonna try real hard to extend that. Their younglings there are standing out already, and if they keep the same energy and chemistry they showed their last few games, I'd say the Wolves has a higher chance of winning. I'd go for them for a W bet.
1164  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price climbing fast again on: January 26, 2017, 04:52:26 PM
I suppose another cycle is about to  begin. Also, if you would notice, the baseline's getting higher and higher every cycle. This is a good sign IMO.
1165  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does bitcoin price speculation make sense on: January 25, 2017, 10:22:45 AM
And yet I guess it is us, the btc users, who actually control the price by believing in it bieng worth something. What do you think?

That's actually what it is, we give value to BTCBTCBTC and people accept that value. This space is entirely speculatory, and what we've built through the years is a product of it so it's not bad at all. We're moving mountains here with this tech, and it's gotta be worth something.
1166  Economy / Speculation / Re: Cashing out.... on: January 24, 2017, 04:21:22 AM
Kinda feel the price will drop quite a bit, will probably cash out and buy back in after the dust has settled... The chinese  exchange fees look like its going to be a bubble popping but just my opinion... But why the insane mempool size?

Cashed out awhile back, and will buy back in once a new baseline comes out too. IMO it's not a bubble popping, more of a correction from the recent rise. Hopefully the new baseline comes above $700 at least.
1167  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fiverr no longer accepts Bitcoin on: January 24, 2017, 02:54:44 AM
This is probably due to no chargeback issue. I see no other reason why would they stop using BTC.

Now we can start to question if BTCBTCBTC's adoption is really growing, given their reason of 'Lack of interest.'

One of the main attractions of using Bitcoin before the main chain was "throttled" was low transaction fees. By choking off the main chain, the developers are allowing a fee market to develop.

Now that the fees are no longer small in comparison to traditional payment processors like Paypal, it follows that consumer interest would decline at the POS transaction level.

And so the death of bitcoin's microtransaction economy begins.

Wonder how much business fiverr will lose over this.

Is there a way to reliably measure?

Unless they're going to release their figures we wouldn't know.

Correction perhaps? I hope the prices levels out soon so we know what the new baseline is.  Smiley

Brooklyn Nets will face San Antonio Spurs , Spurs do well in their last games ! i will bet for them to win .
Miami Heat will face Golden State Warriors , an easy game for the Warriors , I will bet for Golden State to win in this game.
New Orleans Pelicans will face Cleveland Cavaliers , in my opinion Cavaliers is better than Pelicans ! i will bet for Cleveland to win.
Spurs Might win but it might not be a great move to bet on them. 3 of their starters and Manu Ginobilli arent playing tonight. Considering that the game is going to happen in Brooklyn. it wont be the best bet to bet on Spurs at just 1.27x. Im not that sure today that they'll win. Would probably suggest to skip that game.

Resting his starters? That's Pop for you. When you play for the Spurs you won't get to break stat records.
1171  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Hashnest costs on: January 23, 2017, 04:29:56 PM
For whom it may concern, i made a hashnest profitability calculator: http://www.thelazygainer.com/Tools/
Don't mind the site too much, I'm still working on it.

ps. any advice, tips or tricks to improve the site (which is far from complete) are welcome as I'm still in the learning phase of web development Smiley

How about distribute the ads a bit? Like different formats etc. It looks much better that way.

Left HashNest a long time ago, and I guess the community would appreciate it if somebody can share their recent experiences here. Or perhaps a case study would be better?
1172  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Supload - Share and earn bitcoin ? on: January 23, 2017, 04:27:05 PM
I don't know how legit the picture they have posted is but If its true then you should earn 30$ / 15.000 Pageviews which I doubt it. As for how they are earning revenue , I just disabled my adblock and It looks like they actually have some sponsored links on the page where the image is hosted. I now have my doubts on the payments since It uses NET30 payment as mentioned above.

NET30 is quite the standard in most online industries. No way to tell if it's real legit till you get your payment.
1173  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mining distribution comparisson of 2012 vs 2017 on: January 23, 2017, 04:24:21 PM
It is funny how trading Bitcoin is officially banned by Icelandic Central Bank, yet they have mining farms there providing 5% of total hash power.
AFAIK mining bitcoin is not regulated by Icelandic Foreign Exchange Act and mining farms can operate freely.

How then can they cash out their mined BTCBTCBTCs? That's gonna be one interesting business model.
1174  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: January 23, 2017, 04:22:09 PM

Yes if Beastbrook able to get the All-Star MVP title this year, a new record of grabbing 3 consecutive All-Star MVP in the history of the league.

He'll get that. The All-Star game is just for showing-off - and he's the best in that field.
1175  Economy / Speculation / Re: Dead cat bounce, dreams shattered again. on: January 23, 2017, 04:20:23 PM
Actually the price dipping is a good thing now that I've got to stack up on coins again. It's a good opportunity for everyone to buy back in again.
1176  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: January 22, 2017, 02:47:57 PM
Why are all the horrible teams winning against very good in performance teams?
Who the hell are portland have? Boston should of kicked their you know what and in overtime at the Garden.
What has happened to this league that the better teams are getting destroyed at home?
I just turned on the tv and see the knicks are getting demolished by Phoenix. Phoenix for christs sake!
They are playing in Madison Square gardens infront of all Hugh Jackman.
Wolverine should go berserker rage on Carmelo's head at the half. Cheesy

Welcome to the NBA buddy.  Grin

Pretty sure it's not game fixing.
1177  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Bubble 3.0 on: January 22, 2017, 02:43:46 PM
$900 is the new bottom. $1,000+ is the new norm. The bubble will be post $1,500.

If it's really a bubble it'll shoot over that IMO. Think probably $2k+
1178  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Bubble 3.0 on: January 22, 2017, 03:47:35 AM
Hopefully we'd establish a $1000 baseline by month's end.

Although the thing that bothers me is that the more the BTCBTCBTC's price rises, the more regulators will look into it. 2017 might be the year we see a full scale taxation of BTCBTCBTC.
1179  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Wirex Support is total crap. everything about their app and service is on: January 21, 2017, 05:31:29 PM
I used Wirex in the past, and while the service isn't that great, it did get the job done every time. Not sure nowadays, as I've moved on to other btc debit cards.
1180  Economy / Speculation / Re: You'll sell at the bottom on: January 21, 2017, 05:25:19 PM
People think that we are losing money, but all bitcoiners are buying on the bottom, future is ours

The price is on the rise again, this time, I think it's gonna level out at above $1000. Good times ahead of us.  Wink
