281  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Transfer your Bitcoin offline with this wallet,Free and Open source! on: March 17, 2024, 09:51:48 PM
I saw that there are still people asking about offline wallets. Here is a free and open source bitcoin offline signature tool, bitcoin signer, which can be used on windows, mac os, iPhone, iPad, and can also verify transactions and create paper wallets...

https://github.com/CryptoDappRun/Bitcoin-Signer-Wallet

With that tool people are not Transferring any coins, the fact that you sign a transaction doesn't mean that you are spending or transferring the coins, for that you have to broadcast the transaction, other way the coins will stay in the original address.

And we all know how bad idea is to use our private key on a new site or new software, doing that is a high risk for our coins. Even if the project is legit we should be really careful with our private keys and never trust a third-party software.

283  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Quiz] Answer the Bitcoin question and earn merits! #1 on: March 17, 2024, 08:04:43 PM
Question: The dominant mining pool, at the time of writing this, turns evil and uses its hash-power to reorg the chain. A customer of yours sends you a transaction. If you wait for 10 confirmations, what is the chance that the dominant mining pool successfully double-spends / reverses your transaction?

Since the dominant pool (foundrydigital.com) only has 28.4% of the network, they can't do the 50% attack, given if the second biggest pool decides to work with them they will have 49.8% of the network, so, not enough to manipulate the blocks.

But the problem with your story is the double spend part, you don't need to hold a big pool or a big mining percent to make that attack, anyone can double-spend an unconfirmed transaction. They only have to pay more fees for the new one to have a bigger priority.
284  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the dip people!!! Could be last chance for prices this low on: March 15, 2024, 02:39:21 PM
I don't think $68k is the deep, we saw some days ago how it went down to $61, and at any moment it could have a massive crash, is about a wale deciding to sell a big amount to send it down to $40k, remember there are some early investors who are holding a big amount of BTC, and if any of them decide to sell then the markets will be in pain.

Feels like the party is over, the right way to buy in the deep was 1 year ago when price were down to $16k.
285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should Online Casinos Publish Their Bankroll? Your Thoughts? on: March 14, 2024, 05:30:31 PM
I think there are only a small number of casinos with a big bankrolls, and that's why most casinos have a withdrawal limit each day/week/month, I don't think that's a fair play because if the game allows you to win 100k, then the casino should allow you to withdraw that amount.

So, i agree with OP, casinos should be transparent with the users and have a public bankroll, it should even be a requisite to get a gambling license. That way users will know if they can trust on the site or not.

https://mx.investing.com/news/cryptocurrency-news/juez-dictamina-que-craig-wright-no-es-satoshi-nakamoto-tampoco-el-autor-del-white-paper-de-bitcoin-2722233

https://www.criptonoticias.com/judicial/juez-sentencia-craigwright-satoshi-nakamoto/

290  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: apogio's Bitcoin Tools & Tutorials on: March 13, 2024, 08:22:04 PM
To use it for testing and playing around with, sure. But it should never be advertised as a way to generate your keys. Brain wallets aren't safe. And we humans are bad at randomly picking anything. Such a wallet would be less safe than one created from random sources of entropy. It could lead to loss of funds if you were to deposit bitcoin into a wallet created that way that would then get brute forced by someone.

I have also edited my post above to say this.
I am sceptical now, whether I should implement it or not.
Perhaps I shouldn't, because I know that seoincorporation is aware he shouldn't use it, but I can't be sure for other people too.

I know the risk behind brain wallets, even they had their own speech at Defcon 23, i will leave the video for those who don't understand how risky is to use them:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=foil0hzl4Pg

But it is still a way to generate addresses, and it has some uses like giveaways, and they could be "secure" if we use a large random string like some sha256 or sha512 strings mixed with other patterns.
291  Local / Español (Spanish) / Re: Relacion "oculta" entre IA y Criptografia. on: March 13, 2024, 04:22:15 PM

292  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: apogio's Bitcoin Tools & Tutorials on: March 13, 2024, 03:30:54 PM
Hey apogio, is there any plan to add a brain wallet generator to your tools list?

I have done one in the past, but i was a mix with Bash and Python, it would be nice to see a tool like that generated only with Bash Script.

It would be nice to have a code that runs with:

Code:
sh brainwallet.sh "List of the words for the brain wallet"

If you have some free time to create a tool like this, i would love it, if not, there is no problem at all, thanks for the current tools that you already shared with the community.
293  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul to Fight Mike Tyson in Live Netflix Boxing Event - July 20 on: March 12, 2024, 11:02:45 PM
It will be a crazy event, i mean, the age difference is huge, and that gap will make Mike the underdog, but we all know Mike Tyson is a true legend, and he knows how to fight, if he takes this fight seriously then he will try to destroy jake on each punch.

Another fact is the money involved in the event, with such crazy amounts the event could even be scripted, we know everyone has a price, and if Jake pays enough money to Mike to let him win, then it will happen.

295  Economy / Gambling / Re: STAKE IS A SCAMMER on: March 12, 2024, 07:10:30 PM
The question is, why does your account get restricted? did you contact them and ask them to restrict it when the hack happens?

And about the KYC process, i think the 4th step is the income source, and the fact that your mom gives you the money is not enough against the anti-money laundering rules. I think you should provide a real source of income to prove the money is clean.

The support should give more priority to your problem, because you are a VIP user, but maybe they find something else like an abuse, i have no idea why they aren't helping at all.
296  Local / Español (Spanish) / Re: Ganar dinero con los casinos? Realidad o ficción? on: March 12, 2024, 04:26:38 PM

297  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is worth more than Silver on: March 12, 2024, 02:09:25 PM
Up next is Gold? Lol.

Gold would be the last, the next thing to beat in capitalization would be Google.

This is hard to believe, i don't think Bitcoin market cap will ever beat the gold market cap, we are talking about a market that is worth 10 times more than BTC market at its current ATH. And if that happens then Bitcoin would be the most valuable asset in the world, and that sounds just crazy to me.

And to be clear, when i say 10 times more I'm not saying the price would be $727k, I'm saying the market cap should be more than $14T.
298  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much does it cost to have your own Casino? on: March 11, 2024, 11:03:18 PM
Guys please don't share random info just to bump up your post count or to act as a smartass. I'm not gonna quote or point out anyone, but posting randomly and spreading misinformation isn't helping anyone.

#1. It depends with whom you're starting the venture to begin with, but in most cases it's a bulk deal negotiated on a percentage basis of your NGR (Net Gaming Revenue). Rarely there are one-time fees in this industry, and the crucial parts of the puzzle (e.g. providers) are usually taking a chunk of your NGR. It's important to note here that you can further negotiate the deal with slots providers depending on how much traffic you're getting. Some providers will give you a better deal if you're featuring their games on your homepage.

#2. They earn from your bonus budget (e.g. if you offer a $100 welcome bonus, you have to pay that bonus cost to the provider), and a percentage of your NGR. If you want I can talk with our casino manager and give you more details with some numbers here.

#3. If you're serious, you don't get it from Themeforest or TemplateMonster, that I can assure you. Usually you get a pre-developed theme that has been proven and tested by the providers that you choose (e.g. the platform provider). You can check out platform providers here, they have a full list: https://www.igamingsuppliers.com/suppliers/online-gaming/platform-providers/

#4. Yes, you have to have a bankroll, otherwise the license giver will not give you the license. Basically you need to be able to cover all the jackpots and large winnings from scratch. There is no "bankroll provider", but there are investors who are already within the industry and are looking to invest into new casino concepts. So if you have the team and the idea, they can finance it. But if you only have the idea, no team or experience, then I wouldn't recommend pitching at all. Banks will not be open to loans that I can tell you from experience.

#5. These are usually custom priced, and depends on the provider. There is a monthly fee due to the nature of the service (e.g. bookies), there's a chunk of your NGR again, and there are sometimes entry/yearly fees, it really depends on your traffic. Check out Betsson's solution, they have a really good sportsbook system, but I think that they only work with MGA licensed brands (I'm not sure).

If you're serious about the industry, I would recommend that you join one of the european igaming events like SIGMA, ICE, NEXT and others, I can even get you free tickets if you need to - networking is everything.

This was a great answer SirJohnVonSlotty, thanks for your words and your dedication, as you mentioned, lot of answers were just spam, but your answer was what i was looking for, so, now i will close the thread. Already leave my last merit to your post.

I really would love to see some numbers to have an idea about how much it really costs, but you are right, it's based on different factors like traffic and site popularity, but at least now i have an idea about how it works. Thanks.
299  Economy / Gambling / Re: SmartArena.online - web3 platform for cash battles via smart contracts! on: March 11, 2024, 10:23:17 PM
    The random number is generated using cryptographically secure functions, making it practically impossible to predict.

I just take a look to the code and find the random number generator.

Code:
  function getRandomNumber(
    uint256 minValue,
    uint256 maxValue
  ) public returns (uint256) {
    require(minValue < maxValue, 'Invalid range');

    // Pseudo-random number generation
    uint256 randomNumber = ((
      uint256(
        keccak256(
          abi.encodePacked(
            seed,
            blockhash(block.number - 1),
            block.coinbase,
            block.timestamp,
            block.difficulty,
            msg.sender
          )
        )
      )
    ) % (maxValue - minValue + 1)) + minValue;

    // Update seed for next use
    seed = randomNumber;

    return randomNumber;
  }

And to get the main seed you use:

Code:
    seed = uint256(
      keccak256(abi.encodePacked(block.timestamp, block.difficulty, msg.sender))
    );

So, the round result is based on the current block, and if I'm not wrong that information is accessible to anyone, I'm not an expert on the topic, but you should have a server seed generated by the site on a random way, and not based on public information.
300  Economy / Gambling / Re: I have solved the problem of complexity in provably fair games on: March 11, 2024, 09:32:59 PM
The hidden 💎 is still waiting, and it is up for a show for free  Tongue

You should make public your provably fair system because even if you sell it to a casino they will make it public to let the users verify their rolls.

I'm still curious about how it works. Maybe you could create a website where you explain the logic of your system and accept donations for those who decide to use it.

If the conference goes public please share the link here, i would like to watch it.
