281  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you feel about high-profile traders making wrong calls ? on: February 25, 2024, 07:59:18 PM
I'll give you two examples: Garreth Soloway ( featured in Kitco a few times ) and Davinci ( early Bitcoin adopter )
They both shorted Bitcoin at 50K - 49K. And quite likely they're both getting liquidated soon.
To me it simply goes to show anyone can be wrong, and you shouldn't be certain of anything short term.

Is there anything like too accurate in trading, no there is not. It's all about predictions, if you make it and it's correct, that means your analysis validated your call and if it does not, it doesn't mean you are wrong, it means something has gone wrong that you didn't see it coming. During the last Bitcoin bullrun, did anyone see that Bitcoin was going to crash to $15k at instant, none and if you tell people they will say it's impossible but it happens because no one knew FTX was having nothing on them.

You will noticed that some people can make call that Bitcoin will go to a particular price but later, it wouldn't happen, it's not like they are wrong, something can happen anytime like wallet hack of a big holder and that can result to a lot of sell pressure if traders get the news quick and if you predicted and open a position that Bitcoin will go up, you will get loss or even liquidated if you are margin and future trader.
282  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the Bitcoin bull market? on: February 25, 2024, 07:21:08 PM
I am new here few days ago I read post about bull market here.  And I read everyone's replies and understood a lot and didn't fully understand.  Tell me exactly what is the matter?

You read and understood everything, why the question again? That means you didn't understand everything you have read, you probably skimmed all through.

Bull market us triggered by Bitcoin halving and it's an event when Bitcoin subsidy is half, this means that the revenue that miners do to make Bitcoin along side with the fees is going to be reduce by 2, so to compensate them for their effort and security provided to Bitcoin network, people usually rush to buy bitcoin because the less supply will be available and that means the demand will be high and the price will increased, that's how bullrun start and usually make people to FOMO, the fear of missing out buying Bitcoin.

What you should know is that bullrun has happened every 4 years because halving is designed in Bitcoin to happen every 4 years but bullrun don't happen immediately, it might enter the second year after the halvbefore Bitcoin do attain a new time high but just know that nothing is guaranteed as bullrun but we always anticipate for it to happen, so but bitcoin and hold.
283  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Planning to invest in Bitcoin to perform Hajj. on: February 25, 2024, 06:24:44 PM
And I would like to know your opinion whether this plan will be successful in the long term and aims to provide additional funds to carry out the long-desired Hajj. My mother is currently 60 years old and wants to perform the Hajj at the age of 70, and my mother also has savings that she has been working on for a long time and also has the same goal and is sometimes used for emergency funds.
And with this I took the initiative to plan this which I will do in stages and my plan is, using $3 a day from my mother's grocery store in 30 days = $90 that I will spend in Bitcoin every month. And I will also increase my purchases when my mother has excess money or unexpected money because that often happens.

And I ask for prayers from the BTT Forum which I respect so that my mother's dream of performing the Hajj can come true.

I hope that any answer that you get here, you sit down and reminisce over it before you come into conclusion.

Do you know that investing in Bitcoin isn't nothing to be guaranteed about? You can sure have profits tomorrow but when exactly so you intend to sell your Bitcoin? When your mum decided to make a walk for hajj, will your Bitcoin be at realize profit or be at realize lost where you can sell some portion and let's her go to the hajj because with this calculation, you don't need investment to send your mum there, $90 a month for the next 3 years will get your mum into since you said she already has some savings waiting so she can joined with these one she's anticipating.

If I am in your position, I will not invest everything into Bitcoin, I will half the monthly money which is going to be like $45 and buy Bitcoin and keep the remaining $45 as savings, if when she is ready and you see that Bitcoin has given you the profit you want, then you can sell and if later you don't see much profit, you can use the savings for the hajj and leave the Bitcoin to recover, that's how you can safely do it without risking your mum hajj for Bitcoin only.
284  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Donald Trump's stance on Bitcoin is changing on: February 25, 2024, 06:12:27 PM

“I always liked one currency. I call it a currency. I like the dollar, but a lot of people are doing it [Bitcoin] and frankly, it's taken on a life of its own,” Trump replied. “You probably have to do some regulation, as you know, but many people are embracing it. And more and more, I'm seeing people wanting to pay Bitcoin, and you're seeing something that's interesting, so I can live with it one way or the other.”[/i]

Read in full https://www.theblock.co/post/278786/donald-trump-bitcoin-embracing

"Election is coming, election is coming and election is coming, how do I win this vote to send out Joe Biden? We need to get every community that we don't like, embrace them with open arms and after we win, we can run after them". This is the concept of politicians and we failed to realize how they used and dump people when they are done.

Trump is one the no zero tolerance with any concept that is after his government and we know bitcoin is all about not giving into th government or any form of centrality. Trump was there 4 years in office and never liked Bitcoin despite when the last bull run was before he left office yet didn't recognize Bitcoin, it's now he think it's perfect time to sweet talk about Bitcoin, let him go and do his campaign fake promises else somewhere where they do the usually lie to convince people to get into office, I wonder if this guys have a shame left before they speak.
285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Phase Or Are You Slowing Down Your Gambling Activity When.... on: February 24, 2024, 09:28:40 PM
I'm talking about religious activity..

The Christians have the Holy Week and it lasts for a whole week.

The other religions I did not mention have activities or festivities that their followers and believers must observe.

Did you slow down or are you taking a vacation? how long is your vacation before and after the religious activity?

In my case, I usually slow down and stop all my gambling activity, two weeks before the religious activity so I can fully reflect on my religion, and after the religious activity, I usually take a week before I get back to my normal gambling activity.
You participation in this discussion is appreciated.

I don't this is really a big deal to some people because holidays are holidays but there is something special about Holidays, I don't joke about it, I spend it wisely and throughout these period I don't do anything, not work nor do anything that will take much of my time, even if I have a client, I tell them that I'm not available and refer them to others that love to do much work but as for me, a holiday is a break to cool down the brain, spend time with your family or relatives, go to outdoor activities, not everything has to be money and money all the time, gambling is not too fun to me. Wink

Gambling that will make you do research when making picks, look at the head to head, each performance of the team and what there place and because you will be making may picks, you will have to do more of it. When will I have time for my religious activities, it's better to just let's things be as most of the time predictions in this period is always difficult to.win, even the teams will focus on the holiday than the next games they have and will make you lose games.
286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: February 24, 2024, 09:13:18 PM
I see this match as an opportunity for Empoli to distance themselves from relegation zone despite Sassuolo have home record than away but with the recent record, I don't think Sassuolo have strength to withstand this game because their last five matches were very poor, they only had a draw, while Empoli are unbeaten through out their last five matches and this alone is the only hope I have for them that the courage of winning will still be with them, apart from that they have to be careful because among the five matches Sassuolo had four were all away matches and they draw when they host the remaining one.

Sassuolo did they their best, they followed Empoli like they were playing normal friendly match but Sassuolo slipped out of their hands in the extra time and because they were using much time for recovery, there wasn't enough time to equalized and they got away with it. Three point has been awarded to Empoli and get are now far little far away from relegation zone but I think this is temporary, the teams they left under are yet to play their 26th match, until their outcome before we can conclude they will not come back close to relegation again.

Napoli is experiencing one of the worst performance in the Seria A this season, how can a team that finish first place with huge gap between other teams is struggling to com back to 4, they are dipping downward the table every single week. This is the fruit of there labour I think for maltreating Osimhen for not been king of Naples just because he is black, I will be happy if I don't see them in the Champions League next season as by then Osimhen will be in another club by then if he changes his mind.
287  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A lot of gambling sites are scams ! on: February 24, 2024, 08:46:27 PM
How can I choose the best betting site that provides me with a safe betting experience?
Does this site provide a high level of safety for its players?
I need help from those with experience in this field

Gambling platforms are subjective, not all of them can give you what you want, not even by what other people recommend until you test them out yourself but here is one thing you should do as a Bitcointalk member. Go to Gambling board, that's the main board before gambling board. You can see that we have a lot of gambling signatures in this forum, go through their official thread one after the other, you can be the judge from the number of people complaint, how often people get issues with their account and how fast and reliable they were able to come to people's aid, then you can make a pick from there.

I wouldn't recommend you what I have not try but Duelbit isn't bad, they have go good customer services and are very reliable and has been into business for 3 years that I know them, they are more than that in the game but that's when I know there services and I'm okay with some of their options and versatile with how to tweak your picksnin sports betting and also in casino.
288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 24, 2024, 08:38:56 PM
More rumors today about Osimhen.

As we already know they already announced that he leave Napoli, he will probably go to PSG at this point over Mbappé.

I have searched Fabrizio Romano profile I didn't see any information about Osimhen leaving Napoli and going for either of the club you mentioned. The last time Fabrizio interviewed him was when he said 60% of rumors about him is because some of his fans want to see him play in the Premier, he said he appreciates them for that but he don't have any information about it his future with any club until further notice and because I think he has an active contract with Napoli until 2026, he might stay there.

I think PSG are not hungry to look for Mbape replacements, we have some many able guys in the European leagues that are good than Victor Osimhen and Mbape but because fame is around them right now, others are clouded by that but I'm sure that if they search properly, they will get another better player the way they got Mbape at younger age.
289  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: February 24, 2024, 08:05:36 PM
Manchester United couldn't comprehend an average team like Fulham and cause them to lose easy three points at Old Trafford. Erik Ten Hag should make moves to talk to the players, because there's significantly no improvement in the squad just because Rasmus Højlund was absent. I forward a crucial question to Manchester United, can't they beat the odds of winning without the involvement of their new striker? Because this is not the Red Devils I've known over the years, they have changed in all angles, especially on the pitch. Today's game was terrible, Manchester United was on the process of doing an epic comeback but ended up ruining everything injury time after equalizing the game and not been able to hold down Fulham from making another dangerous counter attack that ended up in the hosts net.

I know that Manchester united is good but Fulham isn't as bad as many people think, we want Manchester United  to win Fulham but they are not in the best position to achieved that right now, all the center forward were useless today in that match. Rashford had all the good shot on target but couldn't transform that into a goal. Bruno Fernandes, Garnacho and didn't reachy expectation in todays match and if not for Maguire, they wouldn't have any goal even though he was supposed to be given a red card but was given yellow.

It now seems the dream to overtake Tottenham wouldn't be fulfill any longer because they have just dashed away the important 3 points to do so and since Chelsea and Tottenham match has been prospone, they have advantage over Manchester united that has used their own, and if they win Chelsea which is likely, then Manchester United dream of top 4 will not be possible again.

With Klopp also leaving, I won't be boggled if his boys end up leaving the club at the end of the season. Players like Mo Salah, Virgil Van Dirk, Alexander Arnold and lastly Darwin Nunez, that I do not think will happen because he is locked in with the club and also, Liverpool has rebuffed the offers anyways.

Xavi Hernandez? Surprised you'd consider him but he did a pretty good job for Barcelona though last season. Jurgen Klopp has done enough in the last nine years with em.
Maybe all Xavi Hernandez would need would be the funds to get players that fits into whatever project he has in mind.

This are the most love players by Klopp and they loved him too, you can't seperate them but I'm not sure if all these ones will live at a spot. Salah is going because his contract will expire by the end of the seasom and Klopp know his best reason why he is leaving the club but the rest of the players you mentioned like Darwin Nunez has till 2028, he can't just leave like that unless there is a buy cluse included in his contracts but I even doubt if a player with long year duration will want to signed a cluse like that with such year.

Liverpool is not too different from Barcelona, if Xavi should live Barcelona and comes Liverpool then I will consider him as one of the managers that are good in field but bad at manjunf good choice. They only frustrate him if he comes to Liverpool, with the departure of Klopp. There is going to be lot of changes and surely, there will be a lot of changes that will come with high pressure just like Barcelona is stressing his life to win Laliga trophy.
291  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you seen gambling advertisements on TV? Opinion. on: February 23, 2024, 10:12:16 PM
If children have access to TV and the internet without limitation, they'll likely come across these gambling advertisements. Nowadays, with plenty of sources of entertainment online, it's too risky for our children to give them full freedom. It's still up to us how to discipline them and provide only what is necessary at their young age. We want our kids to have the same interests as us, if we love sports, we might also want them to enjoy sports. However, gambling is just quite different. This thing is what we call for adults only or mature content, similar to porn shows, with a warning: not for kids.

As a parent, it's hour responsibility to know what's good for your kid and what will negatively affect them, it's better as a parent to know the parental guide on your TV. If you notice there are some channels that has +18 content, it's better you block them or simply used a pin code to locked these channels so that when you are not around and they want to open these channels, it will not show or it will request for the pin you used and since they know them, it will be difficult for them to access.

You can also just subscribed for package that has children views like the carton and other baby things that doesn'take children learn adult lifestyle, it will help them not just in their life but also help them focus on school because they you can easily block everything so they can focus on what's important in that particular time. As a parent of 21st century, you need to be smart ahead of these kids because they will do what you don't expect from them.
292  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 23, 2024, 09:35:59 PM
Liverpool will not suffer but continue to excel in their EPL matches, a bold start for this elite team. Liverpool board have been working on the crucial replacement of their current coach, Jurgen Klopp is leaving and this is purely bad news for the Reds. But that doesn't mean they will relent but keep working on making the team remained formidable as they are this season and over the decades. Jurgen Klopp have clear his mind and he's keen on exiting Anfield. Liverpool will turn out to be like Napoli in Italian league because their prominent coach is leaving at the end of the season and this have become something to worry about.

It's so easy to say but the truth is that there is going to be a new form of transition in Liverpool. Jurgen Klopp was asked about the future of Mohammed Salah about in Liverpool and he confirmed that he will be leaving the club after this season, now it's not only Klopp that will leave the club, Salah will leave the club by the end of the season and I'm sure there will be more players that would want to leave the club because of these two people, there is no way that club will be like the peak of Klopp.

Liverpool looks more like Napoli but their own player didn't left, Osimhen help them to win the Leagu and he is there but the manager didn't perform well after winning the title but the case of Liverpool, Klopp is going to leave immediately which means a replacement is coming and that new coach will come with new style, new players because many will leave and will be replaced and there is going to be another style of play entirely. Even if the coach is good, it will take time before the new players bond with each other.
293  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: February 23, 2024, 07:32:27 PM
It has totally became obvious that no matter how poor in terms of performance Chelsea is but when it comes to the higher teams they suddenly improve there performance and it has happen to them more than twice this season, because at first it was Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur and they manage to beat Tottenham Hotspur after all the performance Tottenham Hotspur had during the early time of the season and after then they meet Manchester City twice and the outcome was exactly the same so perhaps with this record it is actually certain that big clubs shouldn't underestimate Chelsea.

Chelsea is bad, the manager is bad, the board of directornis bad and the owner Toad Boehly lack good focus, he doesn't know how to guide or I should say he doesn't have good people that can give him good advice in management as a good CEO. A good person would have known that Pochettino isn't good for this club, if they are afraid that sacking Tuchel was the reason they failed, it's a yes. If they sack Pochettino, will the failed even further, I will say know. That guy has nothing good to offer that club again.

After this season, they should sack the  head of the coach, the assistants and sell some players especially their center back, they are as good as nothing. The new manager should modify the midfield and looks for atleast two competent strikers so he change them when necessary, not these gimmick they do all the time without good result, be sitting in number 10th place as if they are course from making progress.
294  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do people truly risk their money on bets for profit? on: February 23, 2024, 07:14:34 PM
I came across a recent topic where the op was saying over 80% of gamblers gamble to make money and I had to have a dip thought on that and was curious as to know if there are possibilities that people gamble just for the sake of answering the name gambler?
Nearly eighty percentage of the gamblers are doing gambling for the money making.
From my opinion, I think there isn’t any need to stake or risk one’s money on a game simply because you want to catch fun when you could simply not risk your money and still have fun while watching same game.
I don’t know if I’m really staying my points well but I wish to know if people really have to gamble without intentions of making money?

Unless we want to lie to ourselves and pretend under the umbrella of gambling fun, everyone is guilty of gambling for money. In my country where even the women has now resort to gambling like it's the new way of employment, they gamble to make money because they believe that with consistency, they are going to win a mega odd that will help them return their loss and huge amount of profit and they actually do make the money and the fun of such gambling is that they use small amount they can lose so they don't regret later.

Everyone gamble to make money but not everyone gamble for fun, there are people that actually gamble for the fun of it but they are only few that does that, thw rest even on this forum do it for the money, there is nothing to be ashame of it because the gambling platforms are coming here to take away the money investors have here and you can't tell they are making a lot here that's why even after many years, there announcement thread is active and always open to help out anyone with problem on their platform, it's pure business for profits.
295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Seeking Advice ‼️ on: February 22, 2024, 07:58:16 PM
Hey everyone! I've got $1000 to invest before the next bull market kicks in. Should I spread it across five different coins or go all in on just one? What are your top picks for either strategy?

Don't put your money in one investment, it's not the best approach. If you put it in just one coin, there is a high tendency that the coin will not grow as much as you expected and it possible that it might not also grow, some can give you a max of 2x or 3X but when you spread it across 5 or more projects then you don't have to worry about anything or worry when a particular coin is dumping. The real advantage of this is that you not a altcoin grow at the same time, when one is dumping, the other might help you pumping and can help you stabilized your investment.

You should do a proper research on the type of coin you want to buy, it will help you a lot. If you buy the wrong coins, you may not be better than buying a single coin because your portfolio will not even look like you diversify it in the beginning.
296  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Remarkably, how would you rate your past AltCoins price and now? on: February 22, 2024, 07:42:33 PM
As the historical prices of Bitcoin spreads with interestingbdiscussions, does AltCoins also presents you with such appreciable memories?
I mean if you have ever had an Investment experience in the AltCoins industrial system in the pasts where the rate of your interest was highily commendable that even the current appreciating volume in the AltCoins markets hasn't beaten your past AltCoins historical prices before Just as when Bitcoin ATH was $6,900 at 2021 and yet even the current applauding volume of $50,000 plus hasn't beaten the past ATH yet at the current state of the bull run?

I don't know much about ICO phase but I heard it was so big that people make an interesting fortune from altcoins they invested. However, I know of Defi and with what I experienced, the growth were massive that I'm not sure if we are going to see anything like that again. I know a lot say the same thing when during the ICO and then everyone forgot and then got caught by the Defi growth but the trust of investors that loss money was much more than how I expected especially some platform like FTX that never came back to date, millions wahs down just like that.

I'm not even sure if we are going to experience anything like that again, unlike then when anyone can just launch a coin on erc20, the law enforcement are watching this time and that's why even Altcoins are not pumping yet, we have so much money in the hands of whale but people aren't just having the interest yet or maybe I'm the one who doesn't understand the dynamics of altcoins this time around.
297  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: February 22, 2024, 06:43:00 PM
Chelsea is difficult to predict I was trapped in some of their previous matches, first they were defeated by Liverpool and I thought this was normal then Chelsea were defeated by Wolves this one was not normal after that Chelsea won against Crystal Palace and in the last match Chelsea drew against Manchester City obviously this is not normal. from some of these matches we can see that Chelsea are unexpected including against Tottenham in the upcoming match, I only note that Chelsea always scored on every game.

You want to bet on Chelsea Match, don't bother yourself because you will only be losing money. When they have match with teams that are sitting a little above relegation team, they hardly win but they have keep consistency to beat the main teams that are in relegation zone. When they played against top teams, because it's risky to put them straight win, I casually played over 2.5 goals and they will played 2 goals. Not to stress myself again, I don't add them to my bet again because they are always complected with result.

There next 2 matches is going to be interesting, playing Tottenham and Liverpool is like trying to drag down teams that are trying to maintain their place in the table. Tottenham would want to double cross Aston villa to take their place in the fourth place because their last match, they lose to Nottingham and it's possible this time again while Liverpool is fighting to maintain it's first place, they don't want City to drag them down, this is why Chelsea will find it hard to win next two weeks matches again.
298  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who's winning more casinos or gamblers? on: February 22, 2024, 06:24:28 PM
Every day, thousands of dollars enter or leave the treasury of casinos, and we always hear about a gambler who wins or loses a large sum of money.

The thing that caught my attention is that the casino never loses. The money that you win is not the property of the casino, but of another player. The casino is in the process of recycling the money that the players have invested. There is always a winner and a loser, and when you bet with an amount of money, you bet against the money of all the other players. If you win, they will pay you from their money, and if someone else wins, they will pay himBTCBTC from your money.

So the casino remains the biggest beneficiary, right?

I don't know how to use statistics for this but in every 100 gamblers that gamble, it's only 3 of them that makes a life opportunity money from gambling, the rest of them make lose money and lose money and then quit, some make money and also lose money and when you take the aggregate loss and profits, the loss the have is always bigger than the profits. We have some of them that makes minor loss and a little profits and when you do aggregate for this one, what they gain is only a little higher than the loss they have because Casino are money making companies whether we agreed or not.

Have you seen a casino shutdown after running for years and they stopped working because they lose so much to gamblers, I have not seen one. We have so many of them like Stake casino exchange was reported of hacked last year, more than $41 million was stolen as a result of hack and today, they are functioning, doing fine and the money they spent on marketing has doubled, this is to tell you that the only beneficiary person in gambling is the company that provided the means of gambling for gamblers.
299  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Recovering gambling addict stories on: February 22, 2024, 06:01:07 PM
I advise everyone to see this video, I'm not related to this person, but I can relate to his stories and the gambling addiction that most of us could have been suffering for years. This is the second video that I have been watching and they say the same things. Not just money they lose, but time and relationship. The other video that I saw that he was not even present with the delivery of his first and second kid, he was done gambling and trying to make money for the hospital bills but it turns out that he losses in both time.

Perhaps you have seen other videos as well and maybe share it here.

Are people that good to the extent they don't know when to called a spade a spade, they don't know when to quit? I know myself and I know when it's okay for me, thank goodness bankroll exist for a reason, if I lose it there will be no funding from anywhere even I if I have the means to do deposit. If you make another deposit thinking you are going to recover the money you have lost, then that mark the beginning of your addiction to gambling and because you lose all the time, the addiction will make you lose everything until you lose everything.

These guy stories look like someone that is under a influence, more like it's not ordinary, lose home and relationships and family is something one need to be careful about. I hope that he got back on his fit again but such stories are really hard to forget even if you are not the victim. They better make him go see a therapist session with a person that can help him out, sometimes family talk is not enough to change someone, outsiders and professionals do does the magic and I also hope this will be the end of it when he recover.

Have you ever tried something like this situation before?
So what is your thoughts on this, 50/50 good for you or nah?
Will you insist to have an ego battle if you are on the same situation?
If your answer is yes then Why?
And if no then why not?
What are the things you would do to resolve the issue?
How do you think you can handle this kind of situation?

Money brings out the inner color of some people. If she wanted the guy from beginning and was serious about it, she would have cashout the money and tell the guy they should start something together, maybe a business that will sustain them and then that's going to be the beginning of their journey but clearly, she doesn't give any shit about the relationship, she was just looking for a way to milk the guy and now that she has found a a jackpot, she now want to discard the man, typical greedy lady that can sell someone out because of money.

If the guy knows that he is going to win the case, he should proceed and if he knows that he is going to lose, he should let go, perhaps God use this money to test their relationship and she failed. If she doesn't have proper management, she will might buy a house with the money and use the rest for feeding, give her max of 2 years she will squander all of that money and have nothing again. The man should try his own luck next time, who knows if his going to win. Cheesy
