281  Economy / Economics / Re: If being a graduate is the key to being wealthy, why are there poor graduates? on: April 13, 2024, 03:04:24 AM
Finishing your studies is not the key to achieving success in life. It is just the first step that you need to build yourself and help you prepare for the obstacles that may come to your life. It's one of the weapons you can use to fight with the reality in life. Now, once you graduate, it is up to you how you can nourish the things you have learned to improve yourself and become a better person who can bring you success and wealth. Some still fail even after achieving and learning a lot in life, but the key to managing on continuing the journey to be successful and wealthy is to never give up and continue to try again.
Education cannot guarantee that someone will be successful in living their life, because some of those who have completed their education do not necessarily have the knowledge they have gained at school that they can apply in their lives, so it is difficult for them to have a job after completing their education, indeed It's true that education is only the first stage for everyone to be able to live their life without experiencing difficulties in finding work, but there are some people who don't have a school education but they can still be successful in their lives with the experience they have that can give them an income.
Continuing to try to be better than yesterday, of course this will lead us to achieve the success we are targeting and we also have to be able to see every opportunity that exists and be able to take advantage of it in order to achieve success.

exactly! not everyone who finished school learned something in school, others were forced to graduate. having a diploma is a big advantage in career growth, it's up to the person how they carry themselves once they have finished their studies. We can't recommend to others not to continue studying just because you can still get rich even without a degree as long as you have a strategy in life, education is also important so that other people don't underestimate you, especially most of the people today are looking at the state of life and what you have completed in school.
282  Economy / Economics / Re: Will inflation become big challenge for retired people after 10-20 years? on: April 12, 2024, 11:31:09 AM
It sure will. If these retirement funds aren't put to use as investments, they will surely get screwed over by inflation over time. These funds stay as it is on their fiat values and isn't adjusted in any way by the banks that hold them. Even if you managed to hold $1M during your career, expect that it will go down by value by at least 10% in a decade. Better hold your assets in precious metals, crypto, or other such assets that can hold value over time if you want your retirement fund to really work out for you.
Storing fiat in the long term is just like letting its value continue to decrease. Because the price of any item in 10 years will even increase above 10% at the normal inflation rate. And if we imagine that the world is experiencing a quite bad economic crisis like what has happened in the last few years. So we can even see a 10% price increase in just a matter of days or weeks or months. High inflation and hyper inflation even haunt several countries, making their currencies worthless. So investing is always the best choice if it is for the long term. And if it's for use in retirement. So wouldn't it be better to invest in property or real estate if you consider the low level of risk? But there's no harm if we put a few percent in bitcoin too.

Well said, That's why I don't recommend to my closest any long term storing of fiat money because the value of our money will possibly didn't keep up with the inflation, imagine 5-10 years from now, the value of the money that you saved via fiat currency will surely decrease as economic crisis still in place. I suggest like what you have mentioned, Investing in a property, gold, real estate and crypto is much needed nowadays, it will serves you as one of your retirement funds for the future.
283  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports winnings taxes on: April 12, 2024, 11:03:25 AM
Hi I won 7 figures on soccer betting over the last few months and withdrew the crypto to my cold wallet, how can I sell this crypto and avoid paying taxes?

Wow! that's a huge prize, congrats on your winning! Very lucky. Regarding to your question, It depends where country are you came from? I think there's a country who didn't collected any crypto winning taxes but just to make it clear, you can alao ask your local IRS to inquire about this. Having that 7 figures winning amount, I think It's better for you to report it and to pay your taxes in the most legal way so you can enjoy your winnings freely without doing tax evasion. Afterall, it's a money came from your betting prize, The tax you will pay is a meager amount for the amount of money you earned from gambling.
284  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never gamble in front of your kids. on: April 12, 2024, 10:40:18 AM
I basically think like this as well, there is a difference between teaching a kid how to gamble, a very irresponsible thing to do, and teaching them how gambling works and why it is not a good idea for them to participate in it, this way in the case one of their peers tried to introduce them to that world, they will be prepared to take a responsible choice and stay away from it, unlike what happens to those that are kept ignorant about the dangers of gambling at such an early age and decide to try it because the rest of their friends are willing to do it.

Another one that has illusion that if a kid see or know what is gambling, he will turn into addicted gambler. Can you try to describe what harm gambling can do to a kid without using words addiction, money or irresponsible?

I see two different approaches about teaching kids what is gambling. First is when you explain, teach rules, gamble with a kid. Second is when you teach that he could earn from gambling. First method I find harmless, other can have consequences. But in general you can teach your kid everything and anything. It is all up to you and what kind of example you will shot to them. In fact, it is not always to educate children, but better to educate yourself, as they will be like you anyway. Always start with yourself and they will be your copy.

It's  pretty normal for children if they also do what they see in their parents, that's the nature of children so as a parent, we should adjust ourselves and limit the things we do once they are in front of us because they don't know the things that shouldn't be imitated because parents will serve as role models for children until they grow up. if they see what you and your spouse are doing, they can imitate it while they are young, not unless you explain every detail of what should not be imitated by children from what they see in their parents.
285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: THERE ARE TWO THINGS INVOLVED on: April 12, 2024, 10:21:47 AM
<cut>

To sum it up - gambling can be fun, but you're risking money for a reason.  Sometimes you win, often you lose.  Because casinos profit from people losing not winning. The key is having the self-control to quit while you're ahead.

But as others have already noted, maybe you could use paragraphs next time.  Wink

In addition to what you mentioned, we need to know when to get up from where we are sitting once we experience winning. We also need to be wise when it comes to decisions to be made because every move we make in gambling is risky because our own money is at stake. Indeed, gambling is fun but we should prioritize our own self, we need to check and manage our limitations, we need to balance between having fun and earning profit from doing it.
286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can we help beginners not to get addicted on: April 12, 2024, 08:27:12 AM
In my opinion, if it is to be used as a lesson, just looking at the many cases that have occurred is enough, don't think we have to feel big losses such as addiction losing a lot of money, or other bad effects, with the many cases that have occurred, it can be used as a lesson for us not to do the same thing as other people who have shared their bad experiences about gambling addiction or the bad effects of addiction. I also think it is ridiculous that beginners want to feel the bad effects of gambling in order to stay away from gambling or are not sure about the many cases that have occurred so they have the thought of wanting to feel the bad effects.
It is not recommended to make gambling as a means of survival by earning income,  for beginners it is hoped that gambling can be done by setting limits, as you said with discipline in order to prevent excessive gambling.
Yes, we might be able to look at other people's experiences in gambling addiction as a lesson for us. but sometimes something that doesn't happen to us doesn't really matter to us. Honestly, no one wants to be ruined by a gambling addiction. We have seen many t-shirts but still sometimes we make the same mistakes that other people do.
There are more cases of those who finally realize that they are addicted after they experience their own losses. not from other people's experiences.
Basically, no one wants to be addicted to gambling to destroy their life, whether financially or in terms of survival, but if they do gamble then whether they are addicted or not is up to them, including what they think about responding to gambling. If they think that gambling can make money and give them money or can make them rich in a short time then that is a mistake that can trigger them to become addicted to gambling.
However, if they gamble appropriately and with good thinking, such as gambling just for entertainment purposes, it is likely that they will not experience problems with their gambling, such as addiction or losing a lot of money in a short gambling session.

Well said, Who wants to be addicted to gambling? of course no one, so if you start gambling, you should prepare yourself immediately, you should control yourself so that you don't develop gambling addiction. to avoid this, we must know our goal once we enter gambling, we must also know the consequences that can happen if we don't take care of the things that can destroy ourselves in terms of mental and financial aspects.Gambling is tricky, at first it will give you the winnings but when it lasts and it feels that you are enjoying the game, it will gradually take back all your winnings until you run out so you should know your limitations especially in your spending habits here.
287  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do some people hide to gamble on: April 12, 2024, 08:05:56 AM
So at this point I decided to bring it here to know or see different views from different intellects here on why some do some people hide just to gamble or if it is the best way to gamble ?.
They may feel comfortable not to gamble in the public and it is possible that they do not see it as hiding but as something just normal for them to do because they may think it is better to let it be that way.

But if gambling is not legal in your country, that means they can not gamble in public.

There are other people who wants to gamble alone and they didn't want to let other people see them doing that kind of activity, I bet that they want to gamble privately to avoid hearsays from other people specially from their relatives who talks a lot once they knew that they are participating in that kind of activity. Honestly, It's better to gamble privately so we can focus on our own game and to lessen the expectations and critics from other people.
288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Gambling A Hobby? on: April 12, 2024, 03:21:34 AM
First of all I will like to define hobby in my own understanding. Something that one like to do always either for pleasure, leisure or entertainment. And example of hobbies which I know. Swimming which can be a game as well, reading which can also be a competition as " reading competition", and anything competition is a game, and sport. Sport can be someone hobby if the person love sports and like to partake in it. And that means something you partake that you have leisure and pleasure can be your hobby.

Why I brought this topic because someone told me here that https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5491756.msg63928115#msg63928115 gambling is not a hobby and from my viewpoint gambling can be a hobby for the addicted gamblers and that argument made me to do some research and I also came up with this Gambling can be a harmless hobby or a serious addiction. and also from another source again Gambling as a hobby is legitimate so long as it starts of as and remains a hobby, which means self-control in order to pursue a satisfactory result with a limited budget
And lot more.

Upon all those sources and explanation, I still need the community input on the argument to know if gambling is a HOBBY so that I and the person will understand more.
Cheers.

we can still consider gambling as a part of our hobby but if we look at it, this hobby has risks, it is also expensive and quite dangerous if we don't do it properly and in the right process because we know that gambling is addictive, apart from the big money that will be needed, we should also think about what we can get or develop in ourself by playing it. There are hobbies that are just typical outdoor activities and it is through physical games or sports, but there are also hobbies that really make a lot of money, such as traveling, collecting items and gambling.

290  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gambling : Next Generation Challenges on: April 11, 2024, 12:42:16 PM
Lol, if we want to make gambling more social and popular, we should have something like gambling education (based on sex education) to teach people to play for fun but responsibly.  Cool #ResponsibleGaming

I agree!! because once this idea will be implemented in the near future, This also means that more younger people will engage in gambling because it is easy access, especially now that gambling sites can only be found on digital sites. It will be more fun to gamble when there is personal/virtual interaction with other players like of those in casino houses but let's also remember that this kind of activity that is steeped in technology is prone to many things and diseases so it would be good for us to have gambling education to also give guide and tips to people who are just starting to discover online gambling .
291  Economy / Economics / Re: Will inflation become big challenge for retired people after 10-20 years? on: April 11, 2024, 12:21:52 PM
It is already causing lot of problems for retired people. How much will this problem intensify in future ?

I don't know what will gonna happen to other people when they retire in the future but this will be an eye opener to all of us how investment/savings is important to have especially now while we are still young, we should have started an investment even if we start small as long as we can grow it, don't keep a lot of money in the bank and then have a small interest in return because it's really considered as loss because our money doesn't keep up with inflation. the best option is to have an investment and other businesses that will last long term. People nowadays should be more financially literate so that once our retirement age comes, we will not have difficulties in life.
292  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why in some religion gambling is forbidden? on: April 11, 2024, 11:53:08 AM
When we talk about religion we cannot dine the forbidden things like alcohol, prostitution and many other things in this topic we will discuss why do gambling is forbidden (Haram, interdit) .
So can you tell me why is it forbidden in your religion?
And for the non religious persons what you think ?
You can simply browse that in internet to find the better answer because for me , my
complete respect to Muslim's forbidding many things because those are truly not a good
thing to human , alcohol is roots of troubles while prostitution is about health and other
things, and there is this gambling that have ruined many lives and families for the long
time of existence
 ~

Why having guns is not forbidden then? Ruined many lives and families too. Why stoning women to death isn't forbidden in this religion? Doesn't that ruin some people's lives?

Gambling is forbidden in Islam  because in it "lies grave sin". Meaning it makes people get used to laziness and idleness, while good Muslims should be hard working and God-abiding people.

Every religion would really be having that set of prohibitions on certain things but in overall we do know on what it is really that truly aiming is on how to have a better life in according on whats been told and preached about good things but there is really that some sort of differences in between some of those rules or prohibitions which might really be giving out that different decisions basing up on whats written.
If we do tend to look around or into those typical things that do happen then we can really be able to tell on why this or that, isnt prohibited or totally not that allowed?
which does simply proves out that following them will really be still depending on someones discretion or someones point of view.

We do know that there are people who do abide with the rules or these prohibitions but there were really those people who dont really care and just that simply really likes
on doing the things that they do want even if its not that allowed or even considered to be a sin.

Every religion has its own beliefs and prohibitions, but not all people belonging to religions follow the beliefs and prohibitions, especially those who do not wholeheartedly respect their religion, as time goes on, especially in today's era , there are many people who disobey things they shouldn't do just to satisfy their curiosity and they want to try something and not look like they don't know. Let's be real here, there's a specific religion but i won't mention it, there's a lot of countrymen and their religion prohibits gambling because it is a strictly prohibited for them but why do many religion members participate in online gambling? and the rest of them is openly promoted on social media? others are addicted to casinos too? The situation is different now compared to before where people are really afraid to disobey the forbidden things in their religion.
293  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think gambling every day is better? on: April 11, 2024, 11:21:23 AM
as a beginner you don't need to be gambling everyday because you are not sure of making money everyday with the gambling so what you need to do is to be calculating and they also strategize yourself before you enter into gambling to the extent of being addicted in gambling because I know quite well that someone who Gamble everyday is addicted in gambling so you need to minimize your rate of gambling so that you will not spend whatever thing you have in gambling so in summary my advice goes that we should gamble based on our timetable for gambling we should gamble base on we want to make a quick money

gambling every day is also pointless, because it will become a habit and then become an addiction which is difficult for gamblers to stop. so instead of regretting it later, it's better for beginners to be able to manage their gambling and not gamble every day to earn money.

it's best for gamblers to be able to manage their gambling time and only gamble at times that they feel relaxed, whether it's on weekends, because gamblers don't need to push themselves too hard since gambling is especially a game that relies on luck. no matter how good the strategy they use, the house advantage is higher than theirs. so no need to gamble every day and spend a lot of money on it.

Gambling at times when we are relaxed is a great gambling technique. Due to the diversification in player's lifestyles and the age ranges of gamblers across the world, a good number of gamblers have their free time every day. Would it be nice to say that a gambler who uses his vacation time from the office to gamble is doing the wrong thing? I think gamblers who can control themselves don't have issues with how or when they gamble. Provided that they maintain their gambling strategy, the player wouldn't develop problems with their habit. The issue with daily gambling habits is a lack of self-control.

Most gamblers abuse daily gambling, because they don't abide by the rules or criteria needed to gamble every day. It's not a steady process, the gambler also needs to take some rest from gambling each day. I still commend your response as a valued one, because it stands on gambling when relaxed. If a player is not opportune enough to possess enough free time, he should wager when he's got the time. Then a player who gambles each day and doesn't know when to stop or rest from such activity should quickly stop, as it could lead to problem gambling.

I agree with what you said, doing gambling in your free time is okay as long as you maintain your limitations, It's a healthy way to enjoy some of your time especially when you really want to experience challenging activities then gambling is recommended but I will only recommend it to people who knows how to handle their own time, money and themselves. Those who can manage themselves so that they don't end up being addicted to it, and those who can follow the dos and don'ts. Gambling will be more enjoyable if you don't experience any problem or even any conflict after you finish doing it. Since others are busy in life and have different careers, it's okay to gamble once in a while because you only get to experience rest days, just don't get used to gambling everyday because that's a different story.
294  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have a habit of tracking your gambling progress? on: April 11, 2024, 11:06:10 AM
Just like been said or mentioned that you could be able to track it out into your deposit page history on how much you have already deposited. If you do find out that you are already spending up too much then
its not that bad to consider on stopping out completely and its true that there's no way on tracking your spending with those overall wager since this is really that between those bets you have made.
Its not something a precise number that you could really be able to look upon. If there's no way that you could really be able to see on how much you have put up then you could always ask to support.
Just like been said that it is really something in default that most platforms are really showing histories on every activity you do made.
So it is being useful only if you keep balance on a gambling platform. I mean when I deposit an amount, when I see I have already lost a significant part of it, only they I should stop. Looks strange. What is going to change if I get back in few hours? Will my "luck meter" reset? Call me narrow minded, but I still dont get how tracking can really help. The only think I would gladly track is time. Sometimes I get so excited, that 30minutes turns into hours. As I usually gamble before sleep, long sessions turn me sleepy next day.
People don't do that to get help or anything, it's just that people who gamble for profits and to earn money from gambling keep track of their stats, how much they have deposited, how much they have lost or won in a session, and they keep those stats so that they can evaluate their gambling activities at the end of a month or a year, etc. It helps you realize how much money you have won or lost during that period so that you can manage your activities based on that in the next period.

Responsible gamblers or people who gamble just for fun would barely care about the stats or anything because they aren't gambling to earn money and the budget they use for their gambling activities is always limited and they can afford to lose it. So, they don't care whether they lose or win at the end of the day as they will start their next session with a new budget anyway.

I think it should be done differently. If someone use stats to evaluate how much I can allow to spend on gambling next month, then imo it isnt correct. It looks like planning something after everything has already happened. For example if my budget is $100 a month, and I have won $1000 during month, but lost $850 during same period, I would not plan to spend $150 next month. Anyway, I would only care about deposited-withdrawn ratio, and wont pay much of an attention about win/lose ratio of every slot or game I have used, which slot or game I have played most, wagered most, time spent most and etc.
That's true, it's more like if you do this kind of way when you gamble, you give yourself a limit to how much money you spend instead of starting a new fun gambling activity. It might also be the reason to have other kinds of thinking such as the amount of money they should have won instead of losing it. Just like in your given example, $850 was lost and then next month, the gambler might think of chasing the lost $850 using the remaining $150.

I think it depends to a person's perspective when it comes to budgeting their money for gambling, because like what I've always do,  whenever I gamble, I always track my spending habits, I have a fixed gambling budget that I allocate to myself every time I gamble, and if I'm lucky enough to win, I keep the money I win and never use it to gamble again, I only take the gambling budget then the rest will go to my savings. Just like what I've said, I only have a fixed amount that I follow , if I win or lose, that allocated budget will not change. Every gambling session I do, the budgeted amount I use is the same from the usual budget so I don't think about how much money I should chase.
295  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Double your money and quite on: April 11, 2024, 10:39:41 AM
Trying to double your money quickly at a casino sounds fantastic in theory.  The games are literally designed to take our money over time.  As hard as it is, quitting while you are ahead is usually the smartest move.  My method?  Go in with reasonable expectations for fun and entertainment, not making money and  set a budget you are okay losing.  Any winnings are just gravy.
Indeed, the world of gambling is full of uncertainty, which makes casinos much smarter than those of us who try our luck playing at the gambling table with the thought of being able to get double our money from gambling. And we must remember that we don't always get lucky at the gambling table. I love your quote above winning is just gravy. And what you say is true. It would be better if we gambled just for fun if we experience boredom in our daily activities at work, this method is much better than for people who hope to get their daily income from there.

yup, because gambling was done to have fun but because it earns money, we can't prevent other people from considering it as a source of income because they see the potential of a gambling and they think that this is where they can get a large amount of money that they will never get by working for a meager salary, but because of that mindset, they will only suffer more because there is no certainty and we don't know when we will be lucky to win. It's okay if we consider it as one of the passive sources of income but you should be responsible for the pros and cons of gambling.
296  Economy / Economics / Re: How to reduce inflation. on: April 10, 2024, 09:04:23 PM
In fact many people are worried about their money but in economy everyone has to work together in this matter of economic dependability in the world regardless of economy everyone has to suffer because of it many people were worried about their income but others are losing their money continuously so  All should unite to protect the economy of the country
Not all are worried especially if you are rich because even if you lose some of your money you still have more left. We have what we called personal economy of an individual and there is also a general economy of a country which in order to make it better all must work together. It is only sad to know that some people are selfish and there are some who don't care at all about this matter but what is funny is they can complain if they experience a difficulty and even blame other people and the governments for this. When an economy of a country is down, not all people are going to suffer, especially if they have a sufficient fund to support their needs.

I don't think some people are selfish, maybe there's a reason behind that? I mean who is going to cooperate if the people in the government pull you down? It's true that when a country has a problem, everyone is affected but not everyone can complain because they have a source of what they need, they have a privilege in life because they worked hard for it, it's the same now everywhere you look, we are striving hard to survive and we're all experiencing survival mode in our economy but cooperation is still not lost, especially if the high officials can cooperate and listen to all the grievances and requests of the people.
297  Economy / Economics / Re: Governments and their irrelevant projects just to steal public funds on: April 10, 2024, 07:42:07 PM
This whole government "currency redesign" thing? It's a joke. We gotta stop buying into their bull****. They wanna spend money on fancy new paper, but schools are crumbling, roads look like they went through a war, and people can't afford basic healthcare. Totally pointless. This ain't about making things better. They wanna distract you from the real problem: an economy that's on life support. These politicians are playing three-card monte with our future, hoping we're stupid enough to fall for it. We need to be smarter than that.

Imagine what we could do with that money. Train people for real jobs, build stuff that actually benefits society. Help those struggling, give them a chance. Instead, they're pissing it away on some designer version of Monopoly money. Forget the pretty pictures, we need substance. This ain't a left or right thing; this is about common sense and demanding better. We gotta quit being pawns in their game. It's time to hold them accountable. Where's the investment in our future? Where's the real plan to fix this mess? We deserve more than empty promises and shiny distractions.

do you know what else is funnier? here in our country, even though the roads and other infrastructure are in good condition, they destroy them and keep plowing to fix them, for what? So that they can show something to the financial department of the country when they pass a financial statement that they used the money and it went to the project which is a big joke because people can see what those who sit in the government are really doing, In that way, they see that the money they can pocket is bigger and the project will be issued as having an exact or overbudget but the truth is that it has already gone to their bank accounts.

Yes, because gambling is based only on entertainment, then when we lose we don't feel regret and we already get pleasure from it and not only that, we use the money that will be gambled in gambling, maybe it's just the remaining money from savings for daily needs, but if we use gambling As a means of making money, this is clearly a big mistake and it is likely that we will dare to bet a lot of money there because we hope to get even more.
Yes, you are right if you have a perception like that that the money we gamble will definitely disappear quickly and don't use borrowed money because it is very risky.
Almost all of us agree on this, that we can use gambling only for entertainment, because that way, the risks we will get will also be lower. I mean the risk of making us gamble excessively, because we cannot deny that one of the things that makes us gamble excessively is because we have the thought of always wanting to win.

As a means of entertainment, we should be able to manage our time and manage our finances for gambling allocations, because if we cannot manage this then we will lose a lot of money and we will also waste a lot of time because we only focus on gambling.

There are various types of entertainment that can make us happy, and some people have gambling as one of their choices. When we have a gambling mindset where we want to make a lot of money, what we will get is the opposite. Yes we will lose more money on gambling.

That's right, if gambling is used for entertainment then it is far from having a high risk impact, indeed gambling will basically cause risks, but we will choose to accept big or small risks, namely when we play excessively the impact is very big and if we play moderately then the impact Also, it won't harm us much and we will still be safe and fine when we want to gamble again.
in the end?it means we must completely aware of the possibilities to become greedy or to
become a god gambler , and also we must understand what we are entering and we need to know
that gambling result will always depend in how you deals with it.

I gamble for fun but i will never say that  i don't want to take home big wins as this will
make me hypocrite , gamble with knowledge and surely you'll always be better.
It isnt really that bad for you to gamble specially if its really just that for fun but on the time that you've been doing this on active manner then its likely that you would really be that ended up on being that becoming addicted on which it would really be coming into a time that you would really be that doing your very best on making yourself a winner. Betting strategies? It would really be that just that on different variations. Some thinks about as these strategies on prolonging the game but most likely people would really be having that impression that this could really be adding up the winning chance that they could have.
Yes, it would be relevant on sport based or strategic kind of gambling but for those pure luck ones  then it would really be that a different issue.

yeah right, there is nothing wrong if you engage in gambling activities especially if it becomes part of one of your hobbies in life as long as you follow your limitations and not being influence by the winnings that you've experience, it will only be a bad thing if being greedy will prevail more than sticking to your own rules when it comes to gambling. If we are talking about betting strategies, there are many strategies that we can do but he choose what will work for you because sometimes, not all strategies that are advised by other people are also applicable to you.

Salamat

That's one factor that lead me to always go for high quality and luxurious stuff after that moment.
Have you bought something that people feel is rather too expensive and that you could have purchased a lower version of it? What was your inexperience like after that?
I agree with some of the opinions of other members here. There is a difference when you say it is luxury and high quality. High quality means you spend more money to buy goods with more uses and more comfortable use. Luxury means you spend more money to buy pride and prestige, not the actual value of an item in use.

If you buy a MacBook, it means you are buying a laptop with high quality compared to other laptops at a cheaper price. But if you buy a Macbook that is plated with gold, or a Macbook signed by a famous figure that costs dozens of times more than Macbooks on the market, you have bought luxury.

well, I think it's okay to buy expensive things for work. If you can afford it, and it can help you in your work, then it would be better to buy it.
IMO, buying things that we will use for the long term at a more expensive price and that we can afford, will be better than buying things that are cheap, but hinder us in the work we have. Apart from that, the bigger the workload we have, the more things we need, and usually the items we need are items that have high prices.
Apart from that, another example, when someone has a high position, they are given expensive facilities. This is to make them work optimally. So, I think it's a common thing. If people start to get jealous of that, then just ignore them.

I agree on your given example, I'm also a fan of buying high quality products especially if I can use it for a long time and I know I will be  needing it at work or to make my life easier with the things I do. For me, buying high quality products is considered as an investment especially if I can use it for my work. It is better for us to spend on the things that we know help us to be efficient and effective employees. Based on my observation, if you buy something with low quality, it will break easily  and what will happen is that you will buy a new one because you need it. If the product you buy always breaks, try to calculate the total price of everything you bought and you will be surprised that your cost has increased even more compared to buying high end products.
