All GCN AMD cards can be mixed and mined with without issue. I've mixed 7950/7970/280x/290/290x/390/390x/RX480 all without issue. It's nothing complicated.
That said, I prefer keeping similar cards together.

just a thought but my knowledge is limited compared to most here. If you ran three miner off one psu.. what if you had voltage drop which would increase the amperage running thru the miner .. could be this scenario. http://ask.metafilter.com/244859/Voltage-drop-amperage-increase"If you have switch mode power supplies (e.g. practically all IT equipment these days) then when the voltage drops they will pull more current to keep up their output. If your voltage sags a bit because of too high a demand then they all pull more current and you're boned." Best regards d57heinz Exactly what I was trying to point out in the first place in different words. Its so good to see A person out here that knows what he is doing. its feeble-minded people that dont even have common sense and think they know it all is the ones I hate. but I know what I have and hold and is recognized by the NEW YORK STATE BOARD OF REGENTS. usa. and other stuff which i will not mention. Don't forget to polish your "clueless dickhead of the year" trophy. It's more widely recognized than the New York State board of regents. Though I'm sure they would be honoured that someone of your intellectual capacity and attention to grammar is publicly representing their fine organization. Love, A feeble minded person just a thought but my knowledge is limited compared to most here. If your voltage sags a bit because of too high a demand then they all pull more current and you're boned." Best regards d57heinz What they were referring to in that link is on the AC side of things (hence referring to the blowing of the AC fuses). The reasoning being since the current demanded on the DC side of the power supplies stayed constant, but the voltage provided on the AC side was effectively decreased, the result was an increase of amperage to maintain the said output. My problem did not happen on the AC circuit, but on the DC circuit (one miner) shorting and burning. When AC voltage decreases, current on that circuit increases to maintain DC output. By that reasoning if AC voltage dropped low enough and resulting amperage increased, the circuit breaker on the PDU (read: AC side) would have tripped. However, as alluded to previously, if DC voltage mysteriously would have decreased due to these circumstances (which it wouldn't), the current through the miner would have also decreased (following the same logic used for under-volting string miners to increase efficiency) and not the opposite catastrophic event. The fact still remains you have a burnt miner lol lol. so your the stupid fool, how are you going to post a picture of a burnt miner and then come out here claiming to know what you are doing admit it you dont know anything because if you did your miner would not have went up in smoke in the first place lol lol lol lol. You're an idiot. Just shut up.

Aside from the S4+, this must be the slowest antminer thread ever. Guess a lot of people have moved on.

Latest version, 0.8.9. It was an update to add Polaris support.

For those getting excited about the power usage reported by GPU-z --- Don't!That value is only for the GPU chip its self, it doesn't account for the rest of the board. When my GPU-z shows 83w draw from the 480, my actual measurements taken from the riser and the 6 pin are 141w, a difference of 60 watts! Here's confirmation from the creator of GPU-z himself: https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/4qk17o/my_xfx_480_power_draw/d4tp4hc

Download the last free version of PartedMagic, boot to it and use gparted to expand the partition to the size you need. Or just use gparted on a linux rig if you have one.

Is it possible to solo with Sammy007's proxy? If not, any way to get the statistics that it provides, mainly blocks per rig?

I'm in for at least 1 or 2 units.

Nice, but we're years away from seeing that in a miner.

Why would anyone want to support their pool? Fail.

........... Where are you guys pulling these numbers from? Your asses? No one knows what speed these cards will reach.
before saying bullshit, you need to search more around here, there is an insider that did run the card and told us the value not to mention the 1080 is already out....and 1070 is just 25% slower Oh, I'm "say bullshit" am I? You've got a funny way of seeing things. An insider, eh? Yeah, OK. I'll wait to see real numbers from real people instead of throwing bullshit numbers around.

Very nice, congrats bitmain!
Personally I'll be letting the halving dust settle before I buy any more ASICs.

My guess: 8TH/s, 1200w. Release ~2 weeks before halving to take advantage of suckers. $1200 My guess is that it also won't be more efficient then ETH mining currently, unless Bitmain can make it 8TH/s and use less than 1000Watts. But that is almost 0.10W/GHS territory.
What's your point? We're talking bitcoin mining here, not an altcoin. There's a separate forum for that.

It takes a lot of time to test solo mode, I put all my cards on it, but still not enough and I have to wait for many hours, network diff is too high. Anyway, even if I cannot find a block, I will release v4.2 in a few hours because it works with eth-proxy so it must work with geth as well.
Awesome! Can't wait to go solo with your miner.

I'd put my money on the PSU being dead, and the miner is fine.
