2861  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why new projects/ coins do not have ANN on bitcointalk ? on: March 22, 2021, 11:09:41 AM
If Bitcointalk is no longer a priority now, why are you still in Bitcointalk by following the bounty project? Does the project that you follow don't have ANN in Bitcointalk? actually ANN threads are only for making some kind of information and announcements even though it can also be done on the project website and social media channels, but I think ANN threads will also not be bad if the team provides the same information.

I have a strong feeling that some projects are simply afraid to create ANN threads on bitcointalk. Some strong standards of what is scam and how to recognize it are already formed here. Usually these flags are correct, but sometimes they are absurd. It is believed, that if a project is not demonstrating team on the projects webpage, then they are hiding. Yet sometimes it is not necessary to show whole team.

For example is anyone knows full team of Binance devs? Empty profile on a social media is suspicious. This is yes and no. For example I have almost empty profile on a facebook and most like would delete it, if this was not the only connection with my kinder garden/school/university friends. If I were to create a project and share a link to my profile, scam hunters would tag me for having a fake page. I think being afraid for not being understood is the reason for projects skip creating ANN threads on bitcointalk.

I'm thinking of that too, people in this forum already too experienced when it come to distinguish a shady project and could make that shady project reputation down the drain because bitcointalk also very frequently appears at page 1 of google search. not to mention this forum is really active.
2862  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: will Binance be the next Ethereum? on: March 22, 2021, 09:36:53 AM
That's right, if the transaction fees on the Ethereum platform are very low on the DEX exchange, then I'm sure everyone will use the DEX exchange to swap the coins or tokens they get in some way at the moment, but because of that it seems difficult to happen, so in part people have started avoiding DEX exchanges for transactions, even though the only obstacle is the cost.
As in the past, when Ethereum's cost price was so low, bounty hunters often used forkdelta to sell their tokens for under $ 40.
but if now the number of tokens runs out for fees only
the gas price could become this high also affected by the eth price increase as well and people reluctant to use DEX because they need to atleast make two or more transactions and imagine if one transactions costs about $40 that's food for a whole week goes to waste just for sending which absolutely is unnecessary at this point.
2863  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best way to get the best gas fees for eth tokens on: March 22, 2021, 08:48:00 AM
There is no solution other than to keep monitor of the average gas price of 10 blocks earlier and if you happen to be lucky enough you might find the right time to send the tokens since some people said the gas price fluctuates a lot and it could go down as much as 80 gwei per gas. it's really tricky though but definitely worth trying.
2864  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: insane fees on eth (uniswap) on: March 22, 2021, 08:02:16 AM
BSC aimed to solve ETH platform's problem which is high transaction fees. This had been ETH's problem since the DeFi hype started, I've lost some of my tokens where swap is needed due to this high fees. Imagine holding about less than a dollar token and the team requires swap in a certain time but you will have to pay the fee for the swap, microtransactions are not viable and it is not economic.
Definitely, microtransaction isn't ethereum's thing as of now same with bitcoin I suppose, it's only worth it if we have more than $300 not to mention how volatile eth gas price was it's like gambling when we trying to send a transactions within eth blockchain. but july is near so hopefully the devs of eth can prove their words.
2865  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin Investing on: March 22, 2021, 06:27:01 AM
The thing with investing is the more you want to invest the more profit you get so I don't think 1% is sufficient but 1%  could be anything. Taking out initial investment after getting 3x gain is good but when it comes to coin that has the chance to multiply your initial investment into that much return of investment, that coin also has the chance to make your initial investment gone or in other words highly risky so you don't want to put all your money into the coin you believe gonna make it big. Try to diversify your portfolio I guess but everyone always recommend compounding to speed up growing your asset.
2866  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: most amazing picture I have ever seen on: March 21, 2021, 11:58:22 AM
Emotional trading always gets me, it could indeed influence our decision to become worse and I think it also covers other mistakes that are being pointed out like for example not cutting loses when the dumping of certain coin is imminent because we're in fear its gonna go back up again etc, over all the worst mistake that I've experienced myself.
2867  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Ethereum going to Die? on: March 21, 2021, 09:55:54 AM
In fact, it is a useless idea because eth is the best currency that has a lot of investors. It is natural that the price of eth has increased because the price of good currency can change at any time. I think it’s foolish to wear bad thoughts about a big coin like eth. However, there is no need to be upset about the price of gas as it will go down in the future. so consider the good side of eth.
Even the gas price itself got that high because there's too much transactions going on, speak itself about the state of the coin as of now. though many people have migrated from eth to bsc but it's more likely gonna be a temporary action due to being "forced" to migrate into BSC. I dont believe people would still stay in BSC for too long considering they are owned privately
2868  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Art record! 69M for a Beeple on: March 21, 2021, 09:11:16 AM
No, your website example is not enough proof that they own something, not even close. It's simple - if there is not a good relationship between the token and the digital art, then the entire market will collapse and be worth almost nothing. If you can actually own digital art as a unique buyer, then there is value. In your example the website IS the object. But owning a digital token is not owning the digital art. It's like owning a piece of paper that says you own gold, versus actually owning gold. They are not both the same thing.
Maybe it's just like a license and anyone else in the digital space or we often call it Internet can't really use the image without your approval and the file is sent through private like emails or etc though I wonder how's the practice of enforcing the law with these NFTs, are they really useful as a proof of ownership?
2869  Economy / Economics / Re: Can the world be without poverty on: March 21, 2021, 07:50:45 AM
The world cannot be without poverty because is not in any location is a mentality. There some persons that can never  be rich because of their mentality. They cannot take risk because they over value what they have and always believe in failure.
People who are too afraid of risk usually not rich but have enough for them to make living, mentality is truly problem but usually poor people are lacking in education and that's the number one contributor of many poor people failure to get out of poverty and many of them also have the habit of overspending on something useless because they want to fill the void in their feeling of desire for a long time. basic universal income could also work to solve poverty if it was given not in form of money but basic needs like food.
2870  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin Elon Musk theory on: March 20, 2021, 08:21:17 AM
he just playing with the masses and maybe just testing how powerful his influence is. Not to mention when he tweets something related to crypto for example doge, it's not only doge that become center of attention but elon musk aswell thus it's increasing his popularity by doing tweet which is next to nothing. I mean, who don't want that?
2871  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Thoughts on exchange tokens? on: March 20, 2021, 06:25:26 AM
What is the problem for an exchange to have their own token? instead it is good for both parties.
it is just like a member card for the user when we can get benefit from having one while in this case some exchanges are charging less fees for the holders.
and for the exchange themselves they can get fund to keep developing or maintaining their platform.
we have seen a lot of shitcoin created everyday, so it does not concern us at all as long as the exchange works as expected.

As long as the coins released by the exchange have some kind of utilities then most of us are fine, heck even I usually don't really care about an exchange releasing a new coin. Maybe people are fussing about how some exchanges created their own version of token or coin just for money grab but i suppose most of people could figure out which one is worth the investment.
2872  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin get back to 60K this week? on: March 20, 2021, 05:24:46 AM
After a highly anticipated prediction by many, Bitcoin finally hits 60K this Saturday afternoon. The whole cryptocurrency market is on fire, and momentum seems pretty strong. Now that Bitcoin proved to reach the psychological price of 60K,After the recent events, it became apparent that Bitcoin can indeed reach 100K. With its current prices surpassing 60K, prices need to increase by 66%. This price increase is very normal for Bitcoin.

$100 K is just piece of cake for BTC and how mass adoption keep appearing meanwhile the coin total supply capped at 21 mln I won't even be surprised if BTC happens to reach $1 Mln and the smaller unit which is satoshi is what people gonna use more frequently in the future, it's just matter of time since btc is like the digital gold as most of people out there pictured.
2873  Economy / Speculation / Re: Looks like India is perhaps serious about banning cryptocurrency on: March 20, 2021, 02:55:44 AM
I don't think it will happen in near future. Some media house deliberately publishing fake news and attributing it to reliable anonymous sources
Government will not out a blanket ban on crytpo as they know it is not possible to ban it.
They will come up with some face saving solution that's why they have postponed the bill till monsoon session.
Passing law different than enforcing it. Maybe the law could be unsuccesful and the enforcement is low but they atleast have an excuse to punish whoever confronts their interest.
Whether the people in there could still use crypto sneakily definitely depends on the people themselves.
2874  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will ADA and eth competitors get dumped if/when Ethereum 2.0 comes out? on: March 20, 2021, 01:14:59 AM
Maybe, the main reason why people switching over another blockchain was the gas price if it gets resolved people would just go back to using ERC20 etc because they are used to it.
But, I doubt those ETH competitiors gonna get dumped so hard, maybe those coins gonna just lose small fraction of price and trading volume but I think they gonna be fine, after all it's better to get all the defis and tokens distributed to many blockchains so it's not too centralized in ETH blockchain.
2875  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price would hit $288,000 this year, according to this metric on: March 19, 2021, 09:57:45 AM
From 2017 till today I have been hearing a lot of price prediction and frankly speaking non of them were correct. If it was that easy to predict Bitcoin price most of us here would have been Bitcoin millionaire. We all know it will reach to the moon and we can see everyday what is happening therefore there is no need to create a FOMO around the price.
It's called prediction and this prediction basically is just speculation but based on some past bitcoin chart or some technical analysis, I see nothing wrong with this and even if they're wrong then so be it, otherwise if predictions always turns out to be true it's called fortune telling and people not gonna share it freely like it is right now.
2876  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH or Bitcoin which is best. on: March 19, 2021, 08:49:59 AM

I agree to this. Ethereum will pump in the coming weeks or months that will be made possible by the upcoming update of the network (I forgot when). But bitcoin at the same time is also a very promising coin, good for long term investment. And if you really want to make a sure profit, I advice to invest on those two coins, by that way, I'm sure losing will no longer be an option.  Wink
Bitcoin is nothing inferior when it comes to short term, as you can see bitcoin could climb up the price easily and such coin is very promising for short term investment, just imagine buying at the dip around $40K then the price climbs up easily at $50K, even ETH is heavily influenced by BTC so what's stopping investing from the main trigger of price movement
2877  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is a game of capital on: March 19, 2021, 07:32:51 AM
A friend of mine once said that any money you use in buying a coin should no longer be considered as money you have. lol, because it is a gamble, and it is best you prepare yourself with that mindset, so that even if you loose some money along the way, you won't consider the loss so much.

That kind of mindset only happens if you just throwing money into random coins, there are many coins out there that could give profit and you can see that by only seeing what kind of projects they are and whether they partnered with some big VC, by that alone you can trade long term and make proper profit.
Although I know that most of traders keep saying to only use the money that we can afford to lose but atleast the money should be properly traded with analyzation.
2878  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Data suggesting more than 95% traders are losing on: March 19, 2021, 04:06:11 AM
I think the article isn't specifically talking about crypto trading. That's why I see the result of the poll is different from the statistic in the article. In crypto trading, most people now already mature enough and aware of the proper way (strategy) to use. So, most of us can gain profits during the bullish season in crypto nowadays. It is a bit different from the common trading in the article.

I think crypto trading also suffers the same fate but on smaller scale since the low capital traders are being given more opportunity than in stock market where it's manipulated by the big players and their cronies. What I like about crypto is that if you don't succeed in making profits from trading you can try out some different things like running your node and stake etc, the opportunity is there.
2879  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: SFP can go to 5$ on: March 19, 2021, 02:37:42 AM
Considering how safepal wallet has become the center attention for many airdrops I think it definitely can but if they could make every airdrop somehow contributes to the rise of their SFP coin maybe by allowing to stake to get share etc it could increase the chance, I personally really like their wallet services.
2880  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Becoming a Store of Value on: March 18, 2021, 11:13:54 AM
It already is, so many institutional investors have been rumoured to buy eth in bulk and holding it for long and its price has been increasing ever since meaning it qualifies as a store of value. The price might fluctuates like a lot but if you see it from the perspective of a holder who only see price growth within certain period like for example a year, the price keep increasing and not dumping.
