3861  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: There are too many ICO, why? on: November 17, 2018, 03:28:55 AM
Now there are not so many ICOs, as was the case last year. And many ICOs cannot even assemble a soft cap while being good projects.
To be honest, i really think that the mass ICOs emergence last year were really overhyped or overrated either, the amount of flowing capital is beyond what I expected that
it's make that event somehow worrisome for me who get used to a steady and slow paced market, this year is the year when the hype gone.
3862  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you selective when you participating in ICOs? on: November 16, 2018, 11:42:13 PM
yes, it's normal to be selective! Most ICOs are scam,And you wouldn't want to loose your money. This money we worked very hard to make it.
There's no relevant data that can be trusted which mention that most of the ICO are scam. It's just the scam ones that seems to dominate the market because it's always exposed.
However there's ofcourse nothing wrong to be selective when it comes to an ICO.
3863  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Scammer Can affect the ETH price. on: November 16, 2018, 02:03:05 PM
While this one have the chance of affecting the ETH market, I don't see the capital those scammers have acquired easily affect the whole market because they have quite small portion but it can't be underestimated
because the number of the coin they steal is growing day by day and need to eventually be stopped.
3864  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Avoid MEW Phishing on: November 16, 2018, 01:46:08 PM
It is a recommended act to always check the site link very well before clicking on them, I know someone that have made such mistake and unfortunately all the valuable asset owned in the person wallet was transferred out. Especially MEW pishing link that request for private key before one can open it. The best way is just to check very well before opening any site.
Even the real MEW will request you private key to access your address, it's always safe to get the MEW app installed on your PC otherwise use the mycrypto app so that you won't get bothered checking the link every single time and you will reduce the risk of being phished into a scammy website.
3865  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can blockchain change financial industry? on: November 11, 2018, 10:28:08 PM
Yes, blockhain it`s our future. It`s a very perspective technology which provide to us safety, fast and clear data and money transactions. Blockchain it`s a revolutionary technology in world industry.
While I don't quite agree with the speed since it's clear that the centralized ones have the advantage in term of speed when it comes to a transaction settlement but in term of transparency, efficiency and safety the decentralized nature of blockchain will have advantage on its own. The safety is when no one have a real control over your money except yourself.
3866  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if every country has its own crypto currency on: November 11, 2018, 10:17:11 PM
If each country has its own cryptocurrency, the government will control it accordingly. Then the basic principle of cryptocurrency - decentralization will disappear. Cryptocurrency was created so that people would have the opportunity of private life, to dispose of their funds as they like.

The coin will be pretty much the same as stablecoin, it's a cryptocurrency but not exactly a real cryptocurrency at that considering that there's a company backing it up which also means there's one entity have full control over the coin.
3867  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best competitors to Ethereum? on: November 11, 2018, 10:12:15 PM
in my opinion ethereum best competitor is EOS. EOS is now widely used as an ICO platform. besides that EOS has good development and has a good future.

Although not as frequent as Ethereum, EOS did have a huge  impact because it's funded through using Ethereum and there's some point of time where the EOS team is trying hard to dump their ETH as much as they can while at the same time pumping their own coin, gratefully Ethereum still hold its position up to today.
3868  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trust ICO Rating sites? on: November 11, 2018, 04:48:06 PM
They seem biased to me. A friend of mine who's doing an ICO told me that they paid 10ETH for 5 quality ratings and that's that! I noticed that some ICOs with good project, team, and good social media presence are struggling with getting good reviews.

With all that said, should it still be a factor to look at when investing in ICO?

yes i do trust ico rating sites but it doesnt mean that the ratings are directly proportional to sales because there are lots of projects that are sold out without the perfect ico ratings. though it is a big help for the investors, the inside the team news is more accurate.
Infact the stars or ratings itself exist just for marketing purpose, the developer or the owner of the website rarely give attention into potential project that won't pay them, instead they are trying the value of their ratings just solely for marketing purpose and realizing that most of that kind of website does the same thing, there's no need to put your trust into such sites.
3869  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The End of Anonymity and the Start of Tax Hell for Crypto on: November 11, 2018, 04:13:09 PM
This thing is to be expected, Japan has already doing so and then other countries will follow. Government are afraid that there might be money laundering within cryptocurrency ecosystem now quite the opposite it is the crypto users who are afraid of huge taxes, Identity required when cashing in or out is okay, but too huge taxes is just meh..
3870  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: China lifts ban on cryptocurrency on: November 11, 2018, 04:06:41 PM
China today is probably one of the most serious countries that can bring cryptocurrencies to a very powerful state, you understand that today cryptocurrencies depend on news and if they are from China, the market will definitely live.
China is already digitalizing with a more centralized way like using alipay so I guess when it comes to adopting crypto they're not really into it
but somehow this news about china lifting bad is to be expected, they just can't hold the technology anymore especially if their country economic is strong enough to keep the flowing money to the crypto market in check.
3871  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: white paper. !! on: November 11, 2018, 07:34:34 AM
why it's important to read white paper

I know to know about the project if it's a scam.

what is the importance of white paper I can ask for your opinion.
thanks.
The whitepaper is a public statement about the project, from the team, to the technology, everything is there. One project or they will take care of the whitepaper, their WPP will be very long.
I generally do not appreciate WPP projects under 30 pages. Although there are exceptions, such projects rarely succeed.

Whitepaper under 30 pages doesn't necessarily mean the project will fail, sometimes the developers themselves trying to simplify their thought in the whitepaper and making as minimal as possible simply because there's their audience that know nothing about technical although some people may have advanced knowledge in this respective field.
It's the point of the whitepaper that matters the most.
3872  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best competitors to Ethereum? on: November 11, 2018, 06:49:17 AM
At the moment, the best competitor for Ethereum really remains NEO, it offers powerful opportunities for development and really excellent support from the Chinese government. In principle, EOS with high productivity also has a chance to become such a successful competitor.
EOS is more of a threat compared to NEO, by observing the market capitalisation growth of both coin, it's kinda obvious that EOS is one step ahead and we are yet to talk about the growth spurt that may happen to the EOS, meanwhile XRP is there to overtake the ETH position but is kinda different platform to be compared with.
3873  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KYC is simply just to cheat bounty hunters. on: November 10, 2018, 10:49:54 PM
increasingly, I see that companies are asked to undergo the KYC procedure and I do not really like it. 1. It sometimes takes a long time. 2. I'm worried my data will be stolen. 3. This is not an indicator of project success
KYC firstly required by a legit ICO to avoid money laundering, but it seems so many scammy project also requires or demand data from their users.
I'd always stay away from that kind of project though, there's many project out there no valid reason to stick with only one.
3874  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do traders pay income taxes? on: November 10, 2018, 10:47:44 PM
I remember that some of my friends in the US had to pay taxestaxes when they made a profit. And they are not shared that the coin should be bought, because if they share they will be punished by law. However, in my country, the trader still does not have to pay that fee, and I think it is bad if the trader has to pay taxes
Every accumulated wealth that adds to your overall value will be taxed no matter what, such thing is what most of the government do.
Many people may see that as the most inconvenience thing especially if you live in a 3rd world country when you can't get the real benefit of being tax payer but well, that's life.
3875  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Probably the BIGGEST REAL GAME on Ethereum is about to launch on: November 10, 2018, 01:54:55 PM
Hopefully Ethereum network won't be clogged like before when crypto cats madness started. I like gaming and capabilities of the blockchain but what i like more is a working and cheap (not some extreme gas prices) ethereum network
I don't think that this game will take a huge amount of resources in the network, crypto cats is an entirely different thing that the game itself requires a lot of on-chain transaction meanwhile this game well, let me guess, will only require that kind of resource-taking activity at the end of the game only.
3876  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 8 reasons to start playing blockchain games on: November 10, 2018, 01:52:30 PM
I am skeptical about games where you can supposedly make cryptocurrency, and even without investments. Perhaps some amount of money can be earned, it will be so little that it is not worth the time spent. If you know games that are really good at playing, you can get good money, then tell me. I will be really interested to get acquainted.
Most of the game giving away crpyptocurrency to make the game popular, some kind of marketing I'd say and most of them as you stated not worth the time.
However I always consider the cryptocurrency reward only as a gimmick but not a really useless gimmick I mean, you know adding crypto as a bonus will add some of fun.
3877  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Wallet hacking is it possible? on: November 10, 2018, 09:55:21 AM
Yes its possible. In fact, all wallet are prone or vulnerable to hacking. They have different security features but still hackers will always find a way into your wallet. That's the reason why we should always take extra careful when it comes to securing our accounts and wallets. Always change the passcodes and don't expose your wallet address and private key online.
Must remind you that it's the "wallet" as a mean of "file" that managed by the user is what prone to hacking whereas the software rarely gets hacked if it is the community will eventually come up with the fix because most of the legit wallet in crypto community I know is open source, under the eyes of so many people to verify the validity, bugs, mistake, and many more.
3878  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers are lazy on: November 10, 2018, 09:48:58 AM
Scamming regulary investors is not so funny any more. Scammers show bigger scale, so they infiltrate teams and then steal part of attracted tokens.
From when scamming is considered funny LOL, scam is an act of criminality and can be punished according to law and that's a really bad thing.
Scammers is everywhere and I think there's no obvious way to estimate whether scammer has established bigger scale of scamming activities or not but people must really take care of their own security.
3879  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is This Another Scam Or What? on: November 09, 2018, 10:39:46 PM
Any sane people with healthy logic would find out that it's nothing but a phishing attempt done by phisher but what worries me is that there's large amount of cryptocurrency user that know nothing about sort of thing and blatantly trusting anything they see on the internet.
If you can, it's always better to report such site to google or antivirus so that it could be blocked automatically.
3880  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Ethereum be more stable in the future? on: November 09, 2018, 10:36:04 PM
I can't tell with confidence that he will be stabler what earlier. I think doesn't matter how many projects were started on the Ethereum platform. It won't affect its stability in any way.
If all those projects contribute to enlarge the overall market capitalization for the Ethereum it could make the market more stable by making the market less vulnerable to manipulation as well as maturing the market through enlarging the market capitalization, it's a common sense but usually there's other factor aswell that could affect the market that's purely based on demand-supply heavily.
