The link to dadice signature campaign is not accurate as of now. Their signature campaign has changed to 2.0 at the beginning of the month, but their payments are the same.

The new link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1078943.0

Yep. Adding the fixed campaign to the OP will be good too. Smiley
2883  Economy / Services / Re: DA DICE Signature Campaign 2.O - Pay Per Post & Fixed Campaign Thread on: June 23, 2015, 06:13:09 PM
ndnhc... can you say when exactly the postcount is sat back for the next week? Tuesday on which time and timezone? Last time the postcount wasnt zeroed for a longer time after it. It would be better if the postcount could be zeroed out instantly when you did the snapshot.

Can you do this?

Hi,

There are some common misunderstandings here. The post count is given only for your reference. There is no real need to update it right now, before the escrow payment is released. If I change it now, there is a lot of self-referencing involved, which will break down the spreadsheet.

When I update it does not matter, be it rank, or post count. Simply,
1. If your post was made before your posts were counted, it will belong to this week.
2. If your post was made after, it will be counted from next week.

I take the final post count of the previous week as the starting post count for the next week. So, whenever I do it, all posts are taken into account.

In your case, for example, the final post count was 5301 for this week.
So, the posts from 5186 to 5301 was counted for this week, while all posts from 5301 will count towards next week. That is, if I reset it now (5302 atm), it will show 1 post not 0.
Hope I clarified. Smiley

Same with rank level, whether I update it tomorrow or on Monday, it makes no difference (unless post count and activity is equal ie. er.. activity is not fully used)

Thanks Smiley

@ndnhc What's the deal with the avatar campaign?  I searched and the forum search didn't seem to be able to turn up the thread on it.  Link me?

Cheers!

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1036780.0

Yep, that is it. Thanks Cheesy

I just found that one of my qualifying post in a topic, which was posted in the Gambling board, is moved to the Invester-based Games board, which is not counted as stated in the rules. Will this not be counted or be counted?

Edit: Just found my another post at Meta have moved to Off-topic with the topic.

No, it won't be counted. If a topic is moved by a mod to another section, the topic will be seen as belonging to that one from the beginning (as if misplaced). The posts will be seen in the Off-topic section, so it won't be counted. Tongue

Do we need re enrollment on this one? i forget now what the decision was.

No. But those with less than 100 posts for the month, will be removed and have to re-enroll again. (Just to give others a chance too) Smiley

I want to ask that though constructive posts in the Lending board counts, however is a lending request (that also counted as a post) also counted as a constructive post?
Thanks!

Edit: Also wanted to ask that, will too many posts in the same thread not be too good?

Yes, it will be counted, as long as the request is made just once. If you make multiple requests of the same loan on different threads, it might be counted as just one in certain cases. Depends on how often the posts are made in the board. In your case it (at least most) will be counted.

By too many posts, I meant some 25+ posts in a single thread, usually someone offering loans, and may include someone sharing sports picks etc. Smiley

It doesn't include a temporary thread (like loan request), asking about something, etc., a popular thread, with enough replies between each posts, lol. Pretty difficult to explain.. Wink

2888  Economy / Services / Re: DA DICE Signature Campaign 2.O - Pay Per Post & Fixed Campaign Thread on: June 22, 2015, 04:49:35 PM
Oh, i randomly got an idea. Tongue How about changing rules so that the maximum paid posts rule is dropped for users that have a post quality above B?

NO, of course i only ask out of ulteriour motives.  Cheesy

I think it might be worth it. It would be like having an additional signature campaign, though only with quality posts. And for the same price that the normal campaign pays to non quality posts too.

So if someone posts too much and drops lower than an A-rating, then he will get punished. This will ensure that only quality is posted.

Edit: Another thing i think would be good is to add an estimate about posts that wont will be counted. I guess the counting of posts, that are too short or in a thread/subforum, so that they doesnt count, is done automatically. Having that number would be helpful sometimes. I know though theres no reward for you in it.

Maximum posts is placed so that, it discourages making posts solely for the campaign payment to a good extent, which is good for the forum. It also helps to estimate the budget for dadice (not currently required, but still it cannot be ruled out), and avoids any bad situations. Only a limited number crosses the 100+ mark, so only very few participants actually benefit. Me and bf4btc will get into a kind of .. well. dilemma about whether to give someone a B- or a C+, A- or B+ (the border rating) which makes all the difference for the participant.
We'd like to place as little judgement as possible on the payment a participant gets (I feel the rating is subjective and shouldn't be given any bigger role), so I am not sure such a rule change will be taken up. (me not supporting that, he he  Grin)

No, even the short posts are not ignored. To be frank, I don't think a formula can identify between a constructive post and a non-constructive one. A meaningful short sentence (or a couple of words) with a purpose should be counted, and we are trying to make it as fair as humanly and feasiably possible. Smiley
All the posts are shown, since I can't actually guess how many posts will be counted in advance. The counting is done manually, and the rate is different for every participant. It is also very kind of dynamic, and even if we make an estimate with say past rates, it could as well be wrong or misleading, difficult for improving participants and completely impossible for new participants. I tried to add a column with past ignored per cent post count, which ended up making many cells as "Loading", so I removed it. I will add it again tomorrow, with just the values.

Thanks for the input. I will ask dadice of his opinion.

So when will exactly the 150 post count will be made for those of us that entered the campaign too late because you were away? is it still day 28? in that case im not gonna make it Sad

At around 30 days from the date of enrollment (approximate). Enrollment date: 6/3/2015 Estimated counting date 3rd or 4th July 2015. There will be some kind of compensation if you made a good number of posts, but still did not qualify at a nominal pay per post rate, to be fair.

Thanks Smiley

2892  Economy / Services / Re: DA DICE Signature Campaign 2.O - Pay Per Post & Fixed Campaign Thread on: June 21, 2015, 08:50:59 AM
I have to report that the problem is back again. Post cound was at 67 posts for me, now all postcounts are back. Mine is at 21 again, like it was yesterday. Seems to be a more serious problem. Oo

No, the version I mentioned is this: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1M__XIQr2h-XlOt7N89BKw0qgr7nmoCxRS8R2aesqqZ0
The pubhtml takes data from the real spreadsheet, and viewing the pubhtml will not force it to update, while viewing the real spreadsheet will make it (and the pubhtml one for a short time) update in a few seconds.

There is no issue on my end, that is with the formulae, or anything.

The other way to know the post count is to deduct the starting post count (shown in the sheet) from your current post count, which is why the former is shown separately.
Public html version was added since it loads far more quickly than the other one, though it has its own set of limitations.

If switching to the full spreadsheet, does not solve the issue, PM me.

Thanks Smiley
ndnhc

Edit: The post count is given for reference. It doesn't affect the counting, payout, etc. Once someone loads the full spreadsheet, it updates both.
2893  Economy / Services / Re: DA DICE Signature Campaign 2.O - Pay Per Post & Fixed Campaign Thread on: June 20, 2015, 10:08:11 AM
The google script seems to hang since yesterday. The post count doesnt update anymore. Reloading doesnt work this time so its something with the script.

The issue isn't on my side. I think the Google Spreadsheet (not the fast loading version) still works if you wait a few seconds. If that doesn't work either, please PM me.

Thanks for reporting Smiley

I was overlooking the hobbit header... Now you've added some big red text and i saw it right away...  Grin

Yeah, he he Smiley

ndnhc, I've found the solution to the quote issue. look at my first post on this topic... I'm just not sure if it will work like it is supposed to  Tongue

Yep, I noticed. Yes, it will work. Smiley
The [/quote tag should be used before, and it will work fine. There are no issues if the quote is under the reply too. Smiley
2900  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk New Feature - The Hobbit Header! on: June 18, 2015, 07:16:02 AM
that looks nice, with an image like that. how did you find this?
is this official feature or what? does theymos know about this?

edit after seeing my post: oh crap

LOL Smiley

I found it accidentally. I had actually updated the entire OP of signature campaign, but when I posted it, it went a mess.  Undecided I reverted it back.
I just removed part by part will I found where it went wrong.

I PM'd theymos and BadBear, you know just in case. But it is not a very relevant issue, assuming we don't mess up the forum with this. Grin
Just an interesting problem with bbcode.

I honestly see nothing wrong with the text nor the header... Google chrome on windows 7

Now, that is weird.. Do you see the bitcoin image above or below? I made the thread neatly so you may not find the difference instantly Huh
