Is profit part of bankroll as normally done?

When a player wins, it takes from the bankroll and when a player loses it adds to the bankroll. But the reason for the big discrepancy between the bankroll and total profit, is because the site started with a bankroll (money I put in), and every so often I've withdrawn money for the bankroll to pay for expenses. And if the site needed, I'd put more money into the bankroll (which almost happened once, when the max profit fell below 1 btc).

In effect the bankroll is a sort of soft number that caps my total liability, and is small enough that I can easily prove I hold that amount of money.

Thanks. Smiley
That clarifies everything. Smiley
2162  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Bitcointalk Weekly Price Movement Poll. on: September 04, 2015, 02:29:52 PM
This prediction is meanless. The actual prive movement wouldn't follow this poll otherwise ppl will know how to trade it and get rich.

Well, if everyone wants it to go up or thinks it will go up, people will buy more, and it WILL go up. Grin

Polls are not intended to be that reliable. You can still know whether members of bitcointalk are bullish or bearish generally. Smiley

2164  Other / Meta / Re: Can somebody explain to me why was I banned? on: September 04, 2015, 01:55:34 PM
Actually I didn't know that there is "a paid signature" option here. Maybe I should consider this sometime...

Totally not recommended, unless post quality improves or you really want a longer ban.
2165  Economy / Gambling / Re: bustabit.com -- The Social Gambling Game (formerly moneypot.com) on: September 04, 2015, 01:47:40 PM
So, he kind of lost around 82BTC in a day (if you compare the extremes).  Shocked

In other news, Bustabit now has a bankroll of 372 btc, so that 82 btc house profit constitutes 22% of it. https://www.bustabit.com/stats

I am not sure whether that is right. I think you are.

If I am reading things right, the bankroll stays the same, and the profit increased by 82BTC to 506BTC or it is the usual thing, but the investors withdrew few hundreds of bitcoins, more than they invested (from the profit of course).

Is profit part of bankroll as normally done?
2166  Economy / Gambling / Re: Pocket Dice – The first realistic dice game on: September 04, 2015, 01:41:53 PM

What about old account there who have many wagers do that account eligible to join the tournament? or must we to make a new account there to join the tournament?

Anyone can join. There is no requirement to make a new account.

The wagered amount starts counting from the time the competition starts. So, whichever account you use, it starts from 0. It takes into account the amount wagered during the contest.

2167  Economy / Auctions / Re: [Auction] Da Dice | Next Generation Dicing Experience on: September 04, 2015, 12:55:36 PM
A potential buyer has a lot of advantages if he choose to buy Da Dice. Smiley

It is preferred that the buyer is trustworthy in the community and/or has a proven track record.
As I said, signing an address requires both of these conditions to be satisfied, which is not possible in many cases.
1. All the bankroll should be held fully in Bitcoins.
2. The bitcoins should be held in a few addresses. Also, the addresses should be fully controlled by the owner.

Also understand that:
1. Proving the bankroll does not guarantee safety of the funds.
2. Not providing a signed address does not make any site a scam. As already said, it is not possible in all cases, for instance, take a casino holding funds in fiat to counter volatility, or a site that has it in a different instrument, or invested in a safe place or something.
It is not always able to disclose everything like that, and you are expected to value an individual's privacy.
3. Proof of solvency is irrelevant for this auction because the new buyer is free to make his own decisions on this aspect.
The buyer is free to make the bankroll address public.
This is true, because even trustworthy sites like PrimeDice hesistate to make their cold wallet addresses public.
4. Da Dice has never scammed anyone or attempted to.
5. Any potential buyer will be made aware of all the facts. You don't have to hijack every Da Dice thread besides adding negative trust to make your point.
6. Any potential bidders are very welcome to discuss anything with us.

I hope you understand.
Thanks Smiley

He seems to have lost everything as the last bet was just 709000 bits rather than his usual 999000 bits.
Anyway, it is just another example why gamblers need to control themselves and learn to stop.

Sad thing is he had some 41BTC profit here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=709185.msg12241506#msg12241506

So, he kind of lost around 82BTC in a day (if you compare the extremes).  Shocked
2169  Economy / Gambling / Re: mission x >> make 1 btc profit from 1 btc. playing da dice [wagered-0, profit-0] on: September 04, 2015, 10:49:39 AM
I wish you good luck but I don't understand why you play everyday, since each roll is completely independant of the previous you can just get this done in about 5 minutes instead of 1 month.

Good luck however.

lol, he did reply a similar question already. Wink

And why not play everything in the same day? I mean your luck won't change for playing one day or other. Odds and negative EV also are there.

no fun  Grin
2170  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will happen if Bitcoin reach 1 USD exchange rate? on: September 04, 2015, 10:45:30 AM
I will buy a lot. Cheesy

Of course, assuming the fundamentals are intact, and it is still the massively adopted crypto, and the price drop was created by a stupid whale. Smiley

The easy solution I found was just search the whole thread for your number

And if it taken try another one.

Yep.

Another workaround is click "All" on Pages : 1 2 3 4 5 All and use ctrl + F to search. Smiley

Keep in mind it will also throw up any number appearing in the page, from post number to the number inside an address.

i don't uderstande your strategie Tongue but i wish you double your 1 btc Wink good luck dude
waiting for  screenshots

I think he means he follows two different strategies.

One is betting on the side the immediately preceding roll was on. (I do do this sometimes)

Second is betting at increasing multipliers so that if he wins, he would get a fixed profit back.
Taking OP's example,
0.005 at 6x = 0.03
if lost, 0.005 at 7x, so he would recover the bet he lost.
A little risky strategy, I hope it will work out to ya. Smiley

May be switch the second one to 5 or 10x every bet?
2176  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 99%guarantee on profit on this bet[odds:1.3] on: September 04, 2015, 09:50:32 AM
Every gambling is 50 50 chance to win or lose even ...

That is an interesting observation. You mean if I am playing dice at 10% chance to win, it is actually 50%? lol, that would be great. Wink

well good luck with that even I don't like this strategy  Grin
BTW when I first saw the topic I thought that you are going to play dice live and stream it on twitch XD

he he i am trying out new straategies Cheesy
still better than martingale

dont have twitch like everything a little private

You like everything a little private, but you're going to show us profits or losses each day? Major contradiction right there.

If bets are more than 0.1, it shows on the highroller tab. But since this is less than that, it may not show up there. So, may be OP will give screenshots? Smiley
