2521  Other / Meta / Re: Signed bitcoin messages on: August 04, 2015, 05:48:16 PM
Well, I am not sure whether you meant my thread. Anyway, I hadn't opened it in Meta, but TC opened it on the correct board next, it became more popular, so I just quoted everyone on my thread in his thread.

Why I asked signed messages was:
1. To avoid someone from posting addresses he cannot sign. It is really simple to confuse for someone who is new to this, so my thread made signing address mandatory.
2. To make people figure out how to sign the message first, rather than trying to figure it out then.
3. No one can post someone else's address (assuming date is included) due to error or for fraud.

It is a good way, if you prefer awareness over simplicity.

1. well, IMO no users will post address that they dont own or they cant sign (newbies aside but there should a be message in the OP that should only post address that the user have full control)

2. i agree to this

3. why should someone post someone else's address? can you help me with this?

The point number 3 on ndnhc's post only tells you that you cannot use someone's address for fraud or scamming because first and foremost, you cannot prove that you have control over that address because you cannot sign a simple message using that address.

Yes, that is what I mean. Signing the address simply proves:
He controls the address. i.e. no one else does.
He has full control.
He can sign the address.
He also learns to sign the address in the process. (if he doesn't already, that is.)

Someone new to this thing wouldn't care to read the thread in full detail or may not know what "full control" refers to. Smiley
While signing the address guarantees that.

Posting someone else's address is quite possible. Remember the scam accusation against me?

Scam someone and post someone else's address in that thread. Done. All fault goes to that guy.
I got lucky I could convince QS, otherwise my trust feedback would be red.

2523  Economy / Gambling / Re: SatoshiDICE.com - The World's Most Popular Bitcoin Game on: August 04, 2015, 05:17:04 PM
Hi

My friend deposited 3.564BTC (or $1000) into SatoshiCircle. On 2015-06-17

His bitcointalk profile https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=539628

The balance never updated.

Requesting to fix this issue.

Also strange that it shows bets he is sure was never made.
http://i.gyazo.com/f36f8eb505bc8e74d2edcfac94f0c78e.png
He is positive he only deposited, never made bets.

This was also the case for the $15. But with this deposit, he couldn't confirm whether the balance was updated or not since the account was in his home PC and he was abroad and couldn't find the secret url.

I had asked him to wait and make sure, and today he confirmed it.

PM sent to handsoff and SatoshiDice_PR.

Please fix it asap.

2525  Other / Off-topic / Re: i understand now where bad people comes From . on: August 04, 2015, 03:04:50 PM
People do get bad when they think the entire world is bad, and they go through something like that.

I didn't understand the rest. Grin

Edit: btw your attitude is all wrong. May be you didn't look carefully enough? or wait patiently enough?

Technically, everyone is knee deep in their problems already. If they can't help you, don't add to that mess.
2526  Economy / Gambling / Re: PlinkoPot.com BTC Plinko - <1% House Edge - Up to 999x - Tournament Starts 8/3 on: August 04, 2015, 02:05:23 PM
Well, it is possible to play a 99% edge game??

Either way, I should be in the leaderboard somewhere. Cheesy
2527  Economy / Gambling / Re: Recently Reported. on: August 03, 2015, 05:47:42 PM

I'm # 4. Still same, no body contact me to resolve it, till now my money is lost!
Any suggestion about it?
Regards

I can only help once they get online over here. I am hired by a competing dice site. I can only help with what I can.

These are the people identified to be of SatoshiDice:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=520402 handsoff
and
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=116564 SatoshiDice_PR

If you had already emailed their support, also PM both of them with the txid of the deposit and the deposit address you deposited into. And if you had created a custom username or remember it add that too.
They have not been active for some days here.

Only the syncing balance issue has been fixed yet, since it was widespread and fixed many. All others issues esp. those requiring individual attention haven't been taken care of. Even after they promised to check the thread everyday from now on. Seriously incompetitive. Sad

That said, they haven't jumped the ship or anything. They will continue operating, only as usual the support just sucks.

Edit: None of your money is lost. You will probably take some time to get it back, give it a month or something, but it can be recovered.
If you have proof of deposit in blockchain, that is solid proof.
Move on. But keep checking back.
2528  Other / Meta / Re: Whats with www.bitcointalk.xyz? on: August 03, 2015, 05:26:38 PM
Check out this website:
bitcointalkxyzlolremoved
Is this domain redirecting to this website? Or is it a phishing page?

Yes, it is very likely a phishing site.

bitcointalk.xyz
fanbitcoin.com
bitcoin-forums.net

(link removed so that you won't click)

The third one used to be in Google search till recently. It was removed from the first page (at least to me) only a few weeks ago.

All pages, profiles, etc. are copied and shown. Exact replica. Only every bitcointalk.org is replaced by their domain name.

I had accidentally entered my password on one of the site a few months ago, before I became aware of it. Had changed it of course, but did not see any suspicious activity even after a couple of days not changing (probably got lucky Wink Not an easy target, I login almost every day). Had tried to log in, thinking that I was signing into bitcointalk.org, lol.

At least every single post I checked seem to copy pasted from a recent post in the same thread.

2530  Economy / Gambling / Re: Pachinko - Highly Addictive Bitcoin Game | 1.05% house edge | New Promo Board| on: August 03, 2015, 08:53:49 AM
Promo board by ndnhc with all winning multipliers in lower line is live now and will be live for 1-2 week depending on players interested.

Thanks Cheesy

I hope you get some great traffic on the board. Grin
2531  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Games-Bit Pachinko | Create your board contest | 5-10% of profit from your board on: August 03, 2015, 08:06:31 AM
ndnhc, WEBcreator and subSTRATA submitted some very cool boards which we are going to use one by one. These boards will be changed weekly or biweekly and 10% of board profit will be shared. The board change will be posted in main thread and the one who submitted the board will be notified in PM also.

But this never means that the competition is over for several weeks. Keep submitting your boards and they will be placed in queue.

That is cool. Smiley
Everyone wins. Cheesy

2533  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: READ on: August 03, 2015, 07:00:32 AM
Both of them are very likely the alts of the same person, trying to scam Manyproofs all over again.

I don't however think they are Manyproof's alts. Tongue
2534  Other / Meta / Re: Signed bitcoin messages on: August 03, 2015, 06:54:17 AM
I dont see why the th last thread would get locked but hey if they do that then so be it, im just trying to help the community.

its because you dont need to prove anything while posting signed message in this thread. posting a bitcoin address is enough and only sign a message with it when needed.

Well, I am not sure whether you meant my thread. Anyway, I hadn't opened it in Meta, but TC opened it on the correct board next, it became more popular, so I just quoted everyone on my thread in his thread.

Why I asked signed messages was:

3. No one can post someone else's address (assuming date is included) due to error or for fraud.

I hope a pro lender can loan me. Thanks!
My address: 1KGwch933ZqWZMXKa9rYLH9sbJvX9zZkZJ
you must be in dire need of help because this is not the only thread you created asking for loan
did you even consider asking your relatives to help you?

Waiting for Manyproofs to give him "free monies". Tongue

Word is that he only lends his alts. So lock the thread. Grin

2537  Economy / Gambling / Re: WheelOfSatoshi.com is it a scam? Cant withdraw on: August 02, 2015, 05:06:14 PM
When you see a new site, first test it. Send the minimum accepted amount, wait for the required confirmation, wait for it to show up, withdraw and wait till it reaches your wallet.

Only then, you are supposed to deposit at a site you have not heard before. And a little research tells you that it has not been active for a very long while.

Sorry for your loss Sad
2538  Economy / Lending / Re: I need a loan from a VERY PRO Lender PLEASE! on: August 02, 2015, 04:17:42 PM
ManyProofs doesn't have any alt at all.

I don't think so too. There is complete absence of evidence on that, and it is illogical too.

But, I am sure, that the same set of scammers is scamming and trying to scam Manyproofs. And trying to flatter him using "Pro lender" and "Best lender" stuff, and with sad stories. He fell for it yesterday. Let us see if he got some sense.
2539  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 0.075 loan for urgent medical assistance on: August 02, 2015, 04:09:10 PM
many proofs is sending money to him self, i did a little research:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
after "LegitUser" Got the loan, he sent to to 1FivfPgKGJPFGdxXihus1xoSiTDZe4sPBh transaction

He earlier gave a loan to another user "ShineBrite" here transaction

both users sent to the same address after getting the loan which either means that he got scammed by the same person or he loaned himself the money in an attempt to build trust

What do you mean?

That is the same thing I said. Manyproofs is being scammed by same set of people.

What makes you state 1FivfPgKGJPFGdxXihus1xoSiTDZe4sPBh is his address? As long as that is not proved, your statement
Quote
many proofs is sending money to him self
is baseless.
