Actually the first half was quite in favour of Atletico Madrid as they created many goal opportunities. Ball possession was also in favour of them but this superiority didn't bring any goal to them.

We are in the last thirty minutes of the game now and it is still going on 0-0. Girona look like they have made the game more balanced in this half. This is really dangerous for Atletico Madrid considering how capable Girona in attacking. I would have expected Atletico Madrid to be more effective about scoring after watching that Sevilla game. But there is still no goal and they might even lose this.

Frankfurt have done a really good work so far but that must be it for them as of now. They have already lost the first leg by 2-0 and the rematch is even in Italy. They need a miracle to make a comeback against this Napoli now. Napoli are having an insane season and they aren't doing this only in the Serie A. They want to benefit from this situation in every tournament if possible.

Frankfurt aren't a team that can eliminate here. Napoli need to face much bigger teams to see what they can do against them.

I don't understand why Milan are doing this now. I mean they were very impressive in the first half by dominating it fully. Salernitana didn't even have proper chances to score. However Milan decreased the level of dominance in the second half after getting ahead already. They shouldn't play like this. They need to go for more goals to secure their wins.

Salernitana aren't one of the top teams maybe but they still shouldn't be underestimated even a bit. They have just scored the equalizer and I wonder what Milan's answer will be to that.

Now there is only one game left on this week which is Girona - Atletico Madrid.

Atletico Madrid are clear favourite to win of course. They are still unbeaten for so many weeks in the league. This can surely be another game added to this series. It depends on how solid they will play this time. Girona can be a quite interesting team from time to time. They are weak at defending for sure but their scoring potential is quite big. They have the same number of goals scored with Atletico Madrid I mean. Atletico Madrid should play very carefully. I expect both teams to score here.

Manchester City will be a huge favourite against Leipzig on paper of course. The first leg was indeed unexpected at the end due to Manchester City's staying ineffective in the second half. But Guardiola must have warned them about this performance already. I won't be expecting to see the same mistakes again in their home game this time.

All Manchester City need is to show their usual performance and play their own game. As long as they manage to do this in both halves there shouldn't be any problem about getting a decent win.

Harry Kane is making such a great effort this season really. He scored two goals against Nottingham as well today and played a huge role in this 3-1 win.

He has reached 20 goals by this game despite still being quite away from Haaland in top scorers table. But Haaland's performance is just extraordinary so Kane's performance is still very impressive. This win was needed for Tottenham on a week that Liverpool lost three points. Newcastle won as well so Tottenham needed a win to keep their advantage in the standings. Even a top four finish isn't a big success for Tottenham maybe but they have to go for it anyway.

After Real Madrid this time PSG are also speculated with Haaland now. This is something new to me honestly because I didn't hear about PSG to be interested in him before.

But these are only speculations of course. It would be really difficult to sign Haaland this summer already. Because as far as I know his release clause will be active next year. He doesn't have an intention to leave Manchester City so soon either. He wants to play for them at least for two seasons now. Therefore I think there won't be any action about him until the summer of 2024.

Union Berlin's poor form still continues. This was their fourth game in a row that they lost points in the league. Their most recent game was against Wolfsburg away though. I see it normal that they had problems against Wolfsburg. Of course Union Berlin don't have any claim on the league title normally. But after that work they have done so far I assume the fans have made an improvement in their expectations as well.

But their job about keeping themselves in top four will not be easy at all. This performance wouldn't be enough to stay ahead of Freiburg I think.

Barcelona didn't have their best game maybe but it was still enough for a victory against Athletic Bilbao by 1-0.

I was expecting Lewandowski to score as well but he didn't. Instead Raphinha was the savior of the team there. Barcelona were just having problems with finding the target as there were only 2 shots on target in the whole game. Their opponent had so many opportunities as well but they were lacking in finishing. Barcelona had better improve this game a little more if they want to win more comfortably. After the Valencia game this was another one they couldn't have full control.

Arsenal answered Manchester City with another win this week. Their game against Fulham went much more comfortable than my expectation and they got a deserved win at the end. Arsenal are really amazing in the attacking line especially. Maybe they don't have the highest quality squad in the league but their game plan is very good for the players. Arteta knows how to benefit from these players really.

They definitely deserve the league title as long as they keep up this level. Manchester City will make big difficulties for them from now on so Arsenal just need to concentrate on their games in the remaining time period.

Juventus got a very deserved win against Sampdoria today. It was interesting not to see Vlahovic scoring despite Juventus' scoring 4 goals in total.

There was a total domination by Juventus actually but somehow Sampdoria made a comeback from 2-0 to 2-2 in the first half. But I never lost my faith in Juventus to win anyway. Because there was still a huge gap between these teams and thankfully Juventus showed it once again in the second half. This win is important for them as well because they are only 4 points away from Atalanta in the standings now. It is a really good climb so far.

By the way Manchester City have already won their game against Crystal Palace. Maybe it wasn't a comfortable win considering the final result. But getting three points was the most important point eventually.

Now Arsenal players will be under pressure a little for getting a win tomorrow. They have dealt with this pressure very well in general so far. They should be able to do this against Fulham in an away game as well. Because their job won't be too easy as long as Fulham stay strong against them. But I still think Arsenal will be victorious by playing just like a team fighting for the league title.

Leverkusen are a team that aren't having a good season in the Bundesliga. But still we are watching two teams there and in the Europa League. Their current matchup is an easy one against Ferencvaros as well. I believe they already finished the job in this round by winning by a 2-0 score. I expect another decent performance in the second leg and finish the incomplete job.

I don't know how far they can go but they just need to push to the end. This is their only way of qualifying for the Champions League as it seems.

It looks like Porto - Inter matchup would be the most competitive one among the games left in this round. Because Manchester City, Napoli and Real Madrid all should be able to finish off their opponents comfortably. Maybe Manchester City don't have a score advantage now but they are still very highly favourite to finish the job in Etihad. The final result would be a decent one this time.

Inter should be able to eliminate Porto normally but the first game was really interesting. Inter had difficulties in beating them in Giuseppe Meazza comfortably. I still don't think they would lose their advantage that easy.

A Messi - Mbappe cooperation happened so late in the game that PSG were nearly losing points against Brest today. After being eliminated in the Champions League the players must be really unhappy. Because they said goodbye to the most important tournament for them so early. Now they just have to focus on the Ligue 1 championship. They don't have anything else left in their hands.

In the summer I will be curious about what actions PSG will take. I wouldn't be surprised if we see Galtier being sacked.

Napoli are just doing their usual work. This was another comfortable win for them despite the shocking loss against Lazio home. They were in full control of the game really and they could have even scored more goals than this as well. Atalanta should consider themselves lucky about that after showing a poor performance defensively. I can't say they were good at attacking either. Maybe they wanted to play like Lazio against Napoli but it didn't work.

Kvaratskhelia one of the heroes of the game after scoring a lovely goal. Together with Osimhen they are making a great duo in the team.

Real Madrid just met the expectations by a decent level of performance. They actually worried me by their start to the game. Espanyol started really fast and scored a goal as well. But this was still not enough to demoralize Real Madrid players later on. They stayed focused and fought for the win hard. They got efficiency from their big effort as well. It was lovely to watch them in the attacking line.

Vinicius Junior is a really valuable player for this team. He is showing this regularly. Rodrygo could have scored a nice goal as well if his free-kick didn't hit the post.

It was quite a surprise for me to see Dortmund losing points against Schalke. This can be a derby game but we just can't overlook the huge difference between these teams on paper. Dortmund just needed to show this by their performance as well. They were actually impressive in the game but the defensive issues finished them. This was a game that they could have won and maintained their winning streak.

This was a big hit to Dortmund as Bayern Munich won on the same week. But the gap is still not big of course. Dortmund just need to go on focusedly.

It was really nice to see Chelsea finally getting a comfortable win in the league. It has been a long time since they got such win the last time. They are a really interesting team I mean. They are actually really productive about creating so many goal opportunities. But the problem has always been with finishing them up with goals. This win should be some help for them to be better as of now.

But of course it is still early to believe in them. They are like Liverpool this season. Both of these teams are too unpredictable.

Maybe Barcelona's opponent seems like a tough one this week. But this isn't a very tough game for them against Athletic Bilbao either.

Because I remember their previous game in the season and Barcelona completely destroyed them. Thinking that it looks like a far possibility for Athletic Bilbao to steal any point in this game. I know how Barcelona struggled against Valencia last week but I don't expect it to happen once again now. Besides they didn't have Lewandowski back then as well and it was a big reason for the score to stay at 1-0 only.
