This is really a shocking contract offer to Mbappe. I wasn't expecting this so I felt confident about him not to leave. But now I'm just saying that I would have definitely signed for Al Hilal for only one season to make that amount of money if I were in Mbappe's place. This is really an insane offer for only a season I mean.

Al Hilal want him so much that they don't even care about paying that money for a season only. Mbappe can't find this kind of an opportunity very often. He had better take this deal as he can sign for Real Madrid for next season later.

I see that Real Madrid have given nearly all the players a chance to play in the game against Milan. But I didn't see Arda Guler entering the game as well. I wish Ancelotti gave him a chance too. This is a friendly in the end. It is the best chance to see all your players on the pitch. Arda is one of their new transfers so he should have also been in the game.

Hopefully we can see him in their next game. Because he is praised quite much and he has really nice skills too. If he gets chances already now and shows a satisfying performance it would have a positive affect on his playing time during the season too.
1943  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: July 24, 2023, 08:16:06 AM
Ancelotti called him? I didn't know that. Then things are getting more serious on Real Madrid side as well. I have heard about PSG to have got really close to finishing this deal honestly but there is still no progress officially. This might still be an opportunity for Real Madrid to join this race as well.

Juventus don't care about where he goes now. They only care about the amount of offer they get and to finish the deal before August 4 as well. Depending on this transfer they will find a new striker for themselves.
But I heard that PSG didn't make Dusan Vlahovic their top priority in the transfer market. Although there are already rumors about Vlahovic who is indeed closer to PSG. But the news is still not certain. But I have a feeling whether Vlahovic will want to join PSG after seeing a banner containing quite horrible things aimed at him if he joins PSG. Currently Vlahovic is still a mainstay of the Juventus squad and is also included in the Juventus pre-season match tour. So there is still no certainty about Vlahovic's transfer. It's just that there are many teams that want him. Even Chelsea is also one of the teams that want Vlahovic's services.

Some time ago it was said in one of news sources that PSG got really close to finishing the Vlahovic deal. But for now he is still open to other offers as well. Yeah I know that a group of fans did that just as they did against Lucas Hernandez transfer as well. However PSG still signed him. I think the same thing would happen for Vlahovic too.

Chelsea were actually reported they didn't have an intention to sign Vlahovic. But this might be a rumour and they might also join the race to sign him too. They are likely to part ways with Lukaku so they would definitely bring another striker to the team.

Marcel Sabitzer possibly will be joined to Dortmund this because Dortmund is really required new midfielder especially after Bellingham left and the latest is Mahmoud Dahoud who leave Dortmund to Brighton so Dortmund really want to bought more players on midfielder position to strengthen their squad and Dortmund thought Sabitzer is the right player for them and the good news for Dortmund is Bayern Munich are will not hold Sabitzer and they are willing to release him especially Tuchel have a plan will not used Sabitzer service again so that's why if there is good offers who came to them for Sabitzer transfer then Bayern will sell him immediately however previously after loan duration ended Manchester United will thinking to permanent Sabitzer but apparently it just a rumour because Manchester United don't have any plan to buy him

The agreement is already done. Dortmund have signed Sabitzer officially. There was really a serious need for a central midfielder after Bellingham's departure. There was no central midfielder left after he left and Dortmund made an internal transfer after that by signing Pohlmann. But this was still not good enough of course.

Sabitzer is technically much older than Bellingham but it looks like they didn't want to search for another similar player to Bellingham. They wanted to go on with an experienced midfielder instead. This is still good for them when we think Sabitzer is a really decent player.

Liverpool had a really bad season in general but they managed to collect themselves after a point. It wasn't enough to make it to top 4 maybe but it was still a solid progress. At least they didn't finish the league with big doubts like Tottenham and Chelsea. I will be expecting Liverpool to put even more effort into their game by this season.

There have been really good additions to the midfield like Mac Allister and Szoboszlai. Klopp has signaled that he will continue to make more transfers as well. Technically he needs to do that because Henderson and Fabinho are both leaving the team. There will be a need to make more transfers to the midfield.

Juventus are still waiting on Vlahovic to leave or stay. PSG and Real Madrid are the most rumoured teams now. For now he seems closer to PSG and this transfer will even be more important if Mbappe leaves this summer as well. But even if he doesn't PSG still need to sign a player to the attacking line.

Real Madrid are also looking for a striker now. If they don't sign Mbappe this summer they will need to look for another good striker. Vlahovic is definitely a candidate for that. Until seeing an official offer these are all rumours of course. But while Juventus are open to offers for Vlahovic there is a good opportunity for those teams.

As we know, Ancelotti called Vlahovic on the phone and they had a meeting. This is very positive news. If a transfer is planned, the player and the coach must make a preliminary interview. They probably have come to an agreement among themselves, but there is also the issue of money.
The player that Real Madrid is really interested in is Mbappe and it's pretty expensive too. So the budget can be a bit of a challenge Cheesy

Tottenham have informed Levy to sell Harry Kane if there is no contract extension this summer. There is no meaning in being stubborn for Levy anymore as a result. This is the best formula for Tottenham as well if they don't want to see him become free agent or sign for a team for free as of January.

Other than Bayern Munich now it is said Manchester United have also started to be interested in him as well. Manchester United should think of this deal seriously too because Kane's priority might still be to stay in England. Bayern Munich is still a solid option for him now as he is keen on signing for them too.

After the departure of Sergio Busquet, Xavi seems to have not found a substitute. But Romeu's arrival The La Masia forward was signed from Girona by redeeming a clause of 4.5 million euros, maybe while the issue of Busquet's departure will not be a big problem. In addition, maybe Joao Felix's options can add another midfielder even though their characters are different. But until now there has been no news about Barcelona's seriousness towards Joao Felix.

Oriol Romeu is technically familiar with Barcelona. Because he was brought to Barcelona Youth back in the day. He didn't play in the La Liga though and was signed by Chelsea after not much time. After a journey in the Premier League he came back to the La Liga. He played for Girona for a while and now he is back where he started.

He is a younger player than Busquets as well so he can play for at least a few years if Xavi likes his performance. When it comes to Felix there is no update about that topic for now. But Barcelona are in no situation to pay a huge amount of money currently.

Newcastle are trying to increase the quality of their squad as much as possible. It isn't going on just as I dreamed though. Because I thought they would bring some much bigger names by being more convincing after finishing the season in top 4 and making it to the Champions League group stage.

Still the players they have signed so far are really decent young players. After a defensive midfielder signing like Tonali their bringing Harvey Barnes too will make their attacking line stronger. I wonder if this is a project to make the team younger in time.

Mehdi Taremi started to be seen by Bayern Munich as the second option now. They are still trying to finalize the Kane signing but they still haven't reached an agreement with Levy. If it goes on like this for more weeks they might even just give up on him and look for someone else. For now that someone else seems to be Taremi according to Transfermarkt.

He would cost Bayern Munich much less compared to Kane that's for sure. However when it comes to being beneficial I don't know how big would be the difference. Kane is surely the best option by far but it is up to convincing Tottenham president into this transfer.

I think there are only two options for Neymar from now on. One of them is the MLS and the other one is Saudi Arabia.
Neymar is still a good player. One of the best current players if you ask me. If he can find a way to reduce his wages and stay fit, I do not doubt in my heart that Neymar would end the season among the top five best players in Europe.
He still has all it takes to be in Europe. Not many players possess the kind of qualities that Neymar has.

Of course he is still a really great player. He still makes a huge contribution to PSG in times he plays games. But the problem is that the number of games he played in hasn't been at a satisfying level for a long time. He faced an injury problem in the previous season as well and missed so many games.

Otherwise PSG wouldn't be eager to sell him I assume. Just look at his statistics in even 29 games: 18 goals, 17 assists. I wish he wasn't an injury-prone player. If he was there for PSG in the Champions League more often then their title chance would have even higher too.
1953  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: July 23, 2023, 07:33:52 AM
~snip~

He is a very successful quality manager. He just needs a lot of money to build the kind of a team he would like.  Grin  He can find that kind of a budget at only rich teams as a result. He has finally achieved the Champions League title with Manchester City as well and achieved his main target too.
But remember, he also needs time to make a championship team. So not only the money factor, but there are improvements that take a long time. Indeed, for the EPL he has dominated since he came to England. But for Europe it took him more than 7 years. 7 years to win UCL. With the conditions, experience and champions gained, he will become the coach of a top club and automatically have a lot of money to spend. Besides, he won't be able to go to a small club

Of course winning a domestic league title is one thing and winning the Champions League title is another. The Champions League is the biggest challenge for even the best teams in Europe. Guardiola made a big effort to achieve that title with his usual game plan and strategies for years.

Maybe if he made slight changes according to their opponents over the years they might have won this title earlier who knows. But finally his system worked out and they won the title. It wasn't easy though as Inter resisted them really well. Guardiola will be remembered as the most successful manager in team history when he leaves.

Milan financial balance isn't that bad after signing few players and selling Tonali to Newcastle. His departure gave the team, the ability to consolidate the midfield and the attack line. Yet, I find the team still in an average position, I mean nothing will guarantee they could claim back the scudetto they won two seasons ago.
Inter Milan have sold from selling players but didn't invest in recruiting key players. All they did is improving the defence line.
As far as I know, Inter Milan has several attackers who are quite good. Inter Milan's current attackers are Lautaro Martnez, Joaquin Correa, Marcus Thuram, and three others, which I think are enough to have six attackers. What needs to be improved is teamwork to continue to provide support to the attacking players to always provide good enough passes, and the task of the attacking players must be to take the best possible opportunities to score goals.

I'm not sure as much as you about that. Because Inter have parted ways with Dzeko and Lukaku both at the same time. Thuram is the only player who has been signed for the area this summer. I think Inter can sign another striker to finish all the signings for that area. Bringing back Lukaku was priority but he is not even a target anymore.

They would look for a favorable transfer as much as possible. I don't think Inter would spend so much money for a striker transfer now and there is no need for that as well. A player similar to Lukaku's level would be enough for them.

I have seen a rumour linking Neymar with Real Madrid. Is there any truth in this? Because it doesn't feel like Real Madrid would like to sign him by paying his high demands now. He has been an injury-prone player for a long time as you know. This would be a risky transfer for Real Madrid honestly. It would be the same for any other European team as well.

I think there are only two options for Neymar from now on. One of them is the MLS and the other one is Saudi Arabia.
1956  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: July 22, 2023, 10:55:03 PM
Things are clear about Mbappe from now on. PSG are doing their best to sell him this summer rather than letting him leave for free. But for now the number of teams Mbappe can accept to join is limited. Real Madrid come at the top of the list and maybe a few Premier League teams would also be in that list.

But there is no offer yet. Only Saudi teams are rumoured that's all. I'm pretty confident Mbappe won't accept them as well. Some time ago Liverpool and Arsenal were also rumoured with Mbappe but I don't know if we see an official offer by any side. If not then Real Madrid should be signing him on free transfer.

Honestly the qualifying results made me really happy. Because it feels really good to see different things sometimes as the whole season is under Verstappen's dominance for a long time. I didn't believe in Hamilton to get the pole position honestly but he made me really surprised. I even still thought about whether Verstappen was going for one more attempt but thankfully he didn't.  Grin

It was a really small gap maybe but the most important thing is to get that pole. The start is likely to be quite interesting. I hope we don't see a crash between these two like in the old times. I just want to see a good competition at least at the start. After a while it shouldn't be hard for Verstappen to win the race comfortably.
1958  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: July 22, 2023, 08:06:08 AM
As long as Pep Guardiola's demands are met at the team he goes he is able to bring successes to that team most of the time. He has been managing only top teams maybe and we haven't seen him at a lower level team. Most probably we won't as well. However I still don't think this makes him a manager to have doubts about.

He is a very successful quality manager. He just needs a lot of money to build the kind of a team he would like.  Grin  He can find that kind of a budget at only rich teams as a result. He has finally achieved the Champions League title with Manchester City as well and achieved his main target too.

There is no realistic transfer rumour about Barcelona these days. They were said to be interested in Griezmann again but he has just joined Atletico Madrid permanently. There is no meaning in spreading news about him in my opinion. Joao Felix is also another recent rumour but there is no way they are signing him on a permanent deal.

Maybe a loan might be possible but they might need to make some adjustments about their wage budget to not have problems with La Liga FFP rules. We have seen Oriol Romeu, Ilkay Gundogan and Inigo Martinez transfers so far and all of them are experienced players.
1960  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: July 22, 2023, 07:48:16 AM
Milan's performance was really interesting in the Champions League unlike the Serie A. They eliminated Napoli as well indeed and it is thanks to their experience in this tournament too. Because technically Napoli were the better playing side in that matchup but Milan still found a way to get past them. Reaching the semi finals there was definitely a success for Milan.

But on the other hand they might not have been able to qualify for the Champions League again if it weren't for Juventus' 10-point punishment. Juventus were going to take their place in that case. Milan should make a good improvement in their Serie A performance this time.
Milan's achievements, big and small, is amazing. Smart play and will powered their Champions League performance. Milan won despite Naples' superiority. Its thrilling.

They performed poorly in Serie A. Milan's good play was overshadowed by Juventus' poor penalty. Fans must find this hard to accept.

However, we must acknowledge their efforts to reestablish their team. Allegedly, they signed Loftus Cheek and Cristian Pulisic. What a game-changer! Remember Milan's Champions League experience. It written in gold, showing their strength and ability to rise.

Loftus-Cheek to the midfield and Pulisic to the attacking line are both really decent transfers for Milan. They didn't even spend so much money for both. Now they have made another signing which is Noah Okafor. He has been a centre-forward playing for Salzburg so far. I can't say that his last season performance was very impressive.

However Okafor is only 23 years old now. Maybe he can continue to improve his game and be better at Milan. But still I'm not sure if he is the one Milan have been searching for. I would have expected them to sign a more productive striker already.
