2881  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Government put on tax on bitcoin on: May 04, 2018, 06:29:28 PM
If the goverment put tax to bitcoin transaction, what will the consequences?

The profit will decrease and attraction also decrease in my opinion. How about yours

That's pretty much inevitable now mate. Governments, as much as they are the entities that control their countries, are also business entities that search for ways to enrich themselves for the betterment of their people. And this market, being a legit and profitable one would not be out of their attention, especially now that it has been proven that, although it has its risks, it also has its pros that usually outweighs all the negative stuff surrounding it. So, since they have the power to control that, and imposing taxes being one of them, it surely will lead to that in the future.
2882  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When is a good time to buy? on: April 25, 2018, 11:42:27 PM
I bought a bunch BTC when it was $17000, then bought a bunch when it is $14000...then the price dropped until 2 days ago. I bought a bunch again when it was 6000ish...haha, now the price went up...so, really, when is it a good time to buy? When it dropped for a while and it rose a little bit, then drop again, then buy?

Well, I don't blame you for what you did, you see that opportunity as the good time to buy because of the current market situation. However, for me, the best time is always when the coin I am eyeing is at it possibly lowest price point. I follow the simple concept of "buy low, sell high", so I just make it simple for myself and see an asset is ripe enough to be bought. Also, I only look at specific coins so that I won't have to look at everything in the market, it's so hard to check everything because there are so many coins.
2883  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you a full time trader or just part timer? on: April 25, 2018, 11:30:57 PM
I started trading bitcoin 2 years ago. When I was new at trading I used to trade every day,I mean every time I had Bitcoins on my account and whenever I sold my alts at a good price I used to open new trade every time. I spend almost all of my time before my computer screen for trading. Good to mention that the market was bullish and I was enjoying trading these days. But later then the market was crashed and sadly I dont stop my habit of trading and I got into a big loss.

Then I started doing research about the bitcoin trading history and I was learning lessons from every where I can. And from lately I set up my own strategy of trading. Now I trade whenever I thing its right time to put my bitcoins in the market.

That last 2 year was full of ups and down.
I learned so many lessons about bitcoin trading.

What do you prefer when you trading bitcoin?

Are you a part time trader or full time trader?

Lets talk about our own strategies about bitcoin trading.

As much as I want to trade full time, I can't. I need the money I get from my job because it's hard to support yourself when you don't have a steady income to rely on. However, maybe in the future, when I have saved enough from the ventures I do in the cryptocurrency market, and I would have the capacity to support myself for months without a fair income, then I would really like to try it because, in trading, you can hit the jackpot, if you would get the good trades.
2884  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should I buy BItcoin or Litecoin on: April 25, 2018, 11:11:05 PM
Please don’t say 50 percent of each

BTC or Litecoin!

Bitcoin for sure mate. I say that because Bitcoin is gaining right now, and it doesn't seem to be stopping for the time being. So, if you want to ride the wave now and buy it, with the purpose to get rid of it quickly for profit would be the better move now since it keeps on rising in value. LTC can also be a good choice, but it would always be better to ride the top dog than the small fry because surely it would give you a bigger profit. But, like any good investor, check the market closely for any changes because one move may be right at one point, but it may be totally wrong at another.
2885  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin As a subject in school on: April 25, 2018, 10:55:33 PM
How about if there's a subject added in school
For crypto trading?

Well that can be a good start to inform people of what the market is and how it works. However, I think it's too early for it to be given such significance in such a way that you have to give it one subject at school. I think it's better if it will be incorporated in economics or business subjects for high schoolers because they can show more appreciation to things and topics like this compared to kids, who are not so inclined on this topic and should not be bothered by things like this because they are in the middle of enjoying their childhood.
2886  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty and too many participants on: April 25, 2018, 10:40:30 PM
That's a tough one; it's definitely an early adoption model for profit, but what sort of regulations can be put in place? How would you define the "Best" participants? Likely any system would only make it suitable for long-term participants/members of some group and only serve to discourage anyone who is just entering the community.

That can't be helped mate. I say that because bounties are one of the best means to earn coins and tokens without actually subjecting yourself to time consuming and too demanding tasks. I mean, the bounties themselves differ in the level of commitment and task your need to give and do, but looking at them in a bigger picture, they are all easy compared to other ventures like trading, which is too risky and complicated, especially for beginners. Another good thing about bounties that it can be chosen by beginners and professionals alike.
2887  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is the market red on: April 25, 2018, 10:20:53 PM
You tell me?

A guy I know that is a dedicated chart analysts predicted a big drop as you guys declared a bull. He went into hiding because it looked liked he was wrong but the negative Red I see is mind blowing.

What’s going on?

I am not sure if you're accounting for everything, but the market right now is actually doing a little good and is starting to gain and go green. So, maybe the time when you saw it red is either outdated or not considering every detail, or most importantly, the significant assets in the market. Many people are actually in a good state right now because they see that the market is still alive by seeing all these positive changes and increases in the past few days and weeks. Hopefully, it's the start of something good mate.
2888  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing to Bitcoin is not that easy on: April 25, 2018, 10:10:16 PM
It is not easy but you cant say it is complicated. Learning about wallets is pretty easy and you can create a wallet in a few minutes. It will probably take a little to understand the difference between different wallets but nothing to complicated. I have to say that at the beginning you wont uunderstand much a about blockchain or how bitcoin works but nowadays there are dozens of websites and videos that explain through different methods all this stuff with bitcoin and blockchain. About trading and holding it will take a lot some time to learn how everything works and you also need experience before making profits

That's right, it's not only complicated to learn, but it's hard to actually choose a project that would actually prosper, especially now, when there are so many projects popping out, and it's not very easy to choose anymore as compared before. The considerations you have to think of are just too many these days that even if a project may seem good at one point, it may still be susceptible to failure in the long run. Another factor that makes it hard for investors is the idea that one product or coin may be replaced at any time, and so it may happen that before it could even come out of the market, that it would already be at its downfall.
2889  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Panic sell? on: April 25, 2018, 10:00:17 PM
Due to unstable price of market, Is it now the best time to sell all the holdings of altcoin and revert it back to tether for safe mode? Will the price of each altcoin keeps going down? Please can anyone reach me on this.

That's one of the worst moves you can do mate because panic sells usually, and most of the time, lead to losses because you are not judging carefully why you're even selling. Since the word "panic" is coupled with it, it would be safe to assume that you're selling because you don't want to lose in your investment; however, would you rather break even, or just be patient in waiting? Because surely, no investor would want to spend all the time and effort to invest without getting anything fruitful in the end.
2890  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin Really End World Poverty? on: April 25, 2018, 09:50:20 PM
Can bitcoin really do anything to solve world poverty problem? Brian Singer certainly think so. He thinks that Bitcoin can bring minimum everyday earning for people more swiftly than any other economy system.

Is it possible?

http://www.forbes.com/sites/steveforbes/2015/04/02/how-bitcoin-will-end-world-poverty/
The short and only answer is no, bitcoin will not help to solve world poverty problem. Why? Because economical systems, regulations and laws are not the problem here. Humans are. People are so corrupt and flawed that they do not care about making this world a better place, they just care about themselves. That is why we will never have world without poverty, wars and terrorism. Bitcoin is nice tool but it is people who will be using it. That is the problem.

I side on the positive and would say yes. I say yes, but with the qualification of time. We can't expect that cryptocurrency is some sort of a magical potion that once you apply it to something that it would end up whatever is ailing it. It's the same as this topic, world poverty has been so entrenched in the people of the world that it can be hard to combat and stop it. You would need time and the honest cooperation of those people in power to do some good changes for the people who needs it.
2891  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: is buying new listed coin profitable? on: April 25, 2018, 09:40:11 PM
Good Day guys, just searching for an alternative way to invest my money to,
so the question is, is buying new listed token(token that just ended ICO) to an exchange profitable? do many of you do that? would you recommend doing that? or should I buy on their ICOs?

For me, as much as they have good potential, I would be more comfortable to invest in those established and market-proven coins. It's because however small or big the value of the coin you're buying and investing in, it's still money or capital we're talking about here. And I would feel safer if I lodge my money in something that could be me a bigger profit as compared to a smaller one in the end. It's just a smarter way of doing business, I guess.
2892  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The UK launches Bitcoin Futures. on: April 25, 2018, 09:30:35 PM
Great news as the U.K launches her Futures. The last time US did same, the price of bitcoin increased fairly.
In like manner, this move by the UK can reverse the downward movement of bitcoin prices.

Although it gives the market a tighter room for competition; I say that it's still good news because it show the masses that many countries, especially the big and powerful ones like UK is open to venturing in the market, thus, proving its legitimacy and capacity to give profit. Because, if it's not really legit, then a big and powerful country like UK won't waste it's time to take advantage of the market and adjust their ways just to make it work for the cryptocurrency market. Good news indeed.
2893  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The future of Ethereum on: April 25, 2018, 09:21:23 PM
Hi friends. I believe that the most promising project of the cryptocurrency market is Ethereum. Only around him I see a lot of work and constant news, for example here today - V. Buterin presents a solution for scaling the Plasma system for Ethereum.
And I plan to completely switch to this cryptocurrency. Maybe I'm wrong.
What say...

I think it's future is bright and shining. I say that with belief that although it is experience a lot of dumps lately, and many negative news and happenings are swirling around it. I think that it is still one of the better coins around, and so, investing in it is still not a bad thing to do. Because, it will always have that power to gain whatever it lost, and also, because of the support it gets from people, many transactions are happening with it in the middle, which would add up to its marketability and good standing.
2894  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Prediction bitcoin in the future on: April 25, 2018, 09:10:31 PM
How Is Bitcoin In The Future?
The number of altcoin that popping up sometimes for me to think how  bitcoin 10 years from now Huh Is it still exist or has been replaced with a new type of better currency ? Many altcoins can now be traded with local currency and other altcoins and are not fixated on bitcoins.
Question:
1. What is your Prediction ?
2. And what the reason ?

Maybe that's what I want to ask , hopefully the answer can answer the question in my brain. thanks  Smiley

I would like to see Bitcoin a little more stable in the future and gaining more support not only from individual people, but also, from business entities and even countries alike. I say that because compared to how it is before, people are saying the good things about it and the legitimacy of this market as well, not only to give and produce good revenue, but its capacity to actually help economies and business sectors of countries improve. That is such a good indicator that this market would prosper for more time. If it can effect masses and its advantages become widespread, it would be easier for people to actually embrace and believe in it.
2895  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is Satoshi Nakamoto? on: April 25, 2018, 08:50:11 PM
If that's even his name. Just read the bitcoin wiki on him and I'm amazed. Nobody knows him.

Long time passed since he last posted in here. Why? "Busy"? I don't think so. He was active when bitcoin needed support but since the slashdot...
Also, it seems has knowledge in many areas, especially economy. He doesn't act like the average human. Not taking advantage out of his creation, leaving without telling anything. Is he even a single person or a group?

How can someone create something so great and not stepping out to get the credit?

No one can really determine with certainly who he is. I mean, it can be his real name or it can also be a stage or web name he used. It's not easy to be the inventor of this market, knowings the ins and outs, most especially the secrets that are hidden in it. He can manufacture himself any coin if he wants, and luckily, he is not the type to do that. Up until now, no one has proven who he is or where is now. And honestly, I would like that state better because, at least, he is safe.
2896  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is the world economy is sliding down? And how bitcoin may help it? on: April 25, 2018, 08:40:04 PM
Why is the world economy is sliding down, a bit reminder to  2008 when the world economy is in freefall, The shock waves from the collapse of Lehman Brothers maybe on of the main factors.. The economic indicators - trade, industrial production, unemployment - are comparable to the early stages of the Great Depression in the early 1930s.
My point is, how bitcoin could take place to helps the Economics rise again or it would be an additional threat to economy stabilty ??

I think its because of the many superpowers, meaning the store countries that are controlling how the world market would go. Just like USA and China, they are always in a battle for power and control over the market because they want it to actually work for their advantage. Unfortunately, this affects other small and not so powerful economies because they can't stay afloat in the tide these superpowers are making, that's why, there are only a few countries that are going up and more going down. Bitcoins can help by way of diversifying the market and making investments more open to more people.
2897  Economy / Economics / Re: Why are you saying wait? on: April 18, 2018, 02:18:59 PM
Waiting, it simplifies the status of bitcoin on how price level being moves, in general terms, it is all about on how price being move going down, that's why people says that we should wait and holds our bitcoin stocks and strongly holds until such time that bitcoin price back to the higher level. But there are forms of another opinion about the word (wait) it is something having globally connected to the status of crypto business. Because many people who waits on what next big thing that soon to happen in crypto business. And if we try to look on the world issues about crypto business, it is something full and forms of conflicts that sometimes there are issues which are good to crypto business but there are also issues criticizing crypto business.

That's right. Many tell you to wait because it would not be smart to actually do business when all the assets or coins are down because it would simply mean that you won't get anything good from it. No one does business just to lose profit, which means, if you know you can't get anything good from doing business, why even go through with it? Also, it's a sound strategy in this market to invest, meaning to buy assets while they are down in value, and then, sell them when the prices surge, and these coins get back the value they lost.
2898  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin really secure on: April 18, 2018, 12:55:15 PM
Some people invest some if not all of thier asset in bitcoin. They are lured by its growing up value its equivalent to fiat currency but is bitcoin really safe and secure.? What do you think.,

It's security lies on the fact that its transactions have no paper trail and can be generally done without being tracked. Another one is the means of how it is stored, excluding the high grade hackers that may steal away your wallet information, are generally secured because of the many encryption e-wallets do just to safeguard your account. There are also different means of protection like cold storage and ledgers that could add a cushion of protection for your coins.
2899  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is a good amount to invest? on: April 18, 2018, 12:00:41 PM
What is a good amount to start with when investing into crypto?

I see lots of posts about “I have $100 / $200, what should I buy” and most of the time the answers are with that amount just invest in an ICO etc etc.

I would be interested to know what people here consider a good starting amount to invest...and I know the basics of not investing more than you can afford to loose but for arguements sake, what’s a good number to start with?

I’m not so much interested from a whale perspective of investing like $500k or $1mill, more so the normal everyday average joe male/female investor who wants to dabble in the crypto market. Would it be $1k, $2k, $5k, $10k, $20k etc? People new to the game or interested to start investing in this space may find this useful so they know a rough number which would be a good starting point before turning  that into riches (the obvious dream).

For reference I initially started with about $3k (it’s not loads but it was a start) and over time I’ve added more and more (it gets addicting) into the pot as and when I have the money to spend and when the time seems good to buy.

I say, there is actually no "good" or "exact" amount to invest. Most people in the market would tell you that you should only invest the amount that you're willing forego because of the fact that since this market is so volatile, the chances that you would end up losing your investment, especially the first ones would be higher, therefore, you should only invest an amount you can afford to lose. However, I would suggest for your first few ventures, which are considered as your "trial investments", don't invest too much, check the market out first, once you gain enough knowledge on how to do things, then that's when you go for it aggressively.
2900  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin be more profitable in the upcoming years? on: April 18, 2018, 11:45:17 AM
So 2017 proved to be the best for the bitcoin till now but still the great Officials of many companies are busy in predicting the greater roadmap of btc in 2018 and so on so will it be possible for bitcoin to go more and more high ?

I think it does have the capacity to be able to continuously increase in the years to come. It has been observed and documented that for the past years, the increase in value Bitcoin shows after every surge is becoming bigger and bigger, which then shows that on a yearly basis it's potential and ceiling value is climbing. Although there are so many negatives news and aspects swirling around Bitcoin that sometimes affects its value for the worst, it still has the power to get back on its feet, which is a good sign, especially since it is the main coin that everyone hinges their future on.
