All the FUD is already baked into the cake, and as it turns out, the situation isn't nearly as bad as many of us believed. The market oversold based on the FUD, so we're seeing an upward correction now.

Could this coin pull a BlackCoin? Especially if we get a similar multipool?  Grin

Don't know, but may be close  Wink

I do believe it can but it is in the hands of the community to create services and push the coin forward!!!

Indeed. It's the community that has made blackcoin successful. Even the multipool was built by the community.
2924  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [MYR] Myriad - Multi Algo - REQUIRED UPDATE 0.8.99.8 on: April 14, 2014, 02:26:34 PM

There are two types of clown:
One is the BC advocates, though they are seemingly successful, but they know that this scam would collapse, they try to advocate their own "energy saving", "protection of investors", in fact, these are just a gimmick, as we all know, since it is a energy saving,Why did you set up Multipool? And you want to protect the investors? Or want to protect speculators? I think now that speculation is the coin, then to understand the risks, play your own stunts, and we have no right and ability to let you ruin, why do you always come here to bark?Show your justice? A speculator justice?

Another is CPU mining supporters, early when there are people like primer-, from support to slander, now is Miki, in fact I have been for MYR to have a CPU algorithm is perfect, but a few days after the XMP is to expose a GPU mining, how can we trust which CPU algorithm? Now I think that adding CPU algorithm is somewhat futile, if you have a lot of CPU like server room administrator and the botnet owner, at present it is difficult to satisfy you, yes, I forgot to say, in the Chinese, like CPU coin especially popular, there are many public CPU can use,Not only do not spend money to buy the hardware, also need not spend electricity, mining CPU coins for them is no cost at all, so they always enjoy it on CPU coins, but in this case, the POW significance what in? There is no cost mining can only lead to dumping without scruple.

Along with the speculation, BC also has a large and very energized community. They're also being accepted by more and more stores, so BC can be used as more of a currency. Price increases are what drive many supporters of a coin. That's why we've never seen any high-inflation coin succeed, except doge.

A lot of early blackcoin miners sold at ridiculously low prices too.

I think the blackcoin multipool is raping this

Re-cap: It's not choo-choo time quite yet, but it is time to consider that the bottom may have already been reached, and positions need to be re-evaluated.
2928  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] QQCoin- Scrypt Jane, ASIC Resistant, N-Factor, Multipool Resistant on: April 11, 2014, 05:42:50 PM
Supposedly most of the QQCoin community is Chinese and doesn't really post here.

oh i see, make sense qq was made for the chinese market really. Is there another forum or chinese forum?

I think the QQ messenger groups listed in the OP are active. Last time I tried chatting there everyone thought I was a Japanese girl lol

Also, I was thinking since mining will be ending soonish anyway, it would be cool if a new dev could turn this into a PoS coin.

2930  Economy / Speculation / Re: Survey time! Was 340 the final bottom? on: April 11, 2014, 04:32:01 PM
A $340 bottom would be fairly consistent with the past drops from ATHs.

What confuses me is that the very bearish sentiment almost approached the point of being a bullish indicator, but we never really saw "blood in the streets". In other words, I don't think we reached a psychological bottom that would likely correspond to a fiat price bottom, IMO.

I'm very cautiously starting to take a long position again.
2931  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 11, 2014, 02:16:23 PM
What's strange to me is that there's really no news here. We already knew China wasn't outright banning BTC...yet.
2932  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 11, 2014, 04:59:29 AM
Did everyone step into a bear panda trap? That would not be surprising at all.

No, but a few people are likely stepping into a bull trap right now.
2933  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 10, 2014, 11:59:03 PM
There have already been lots of ASICs hitting Ebay. If the price really tanks, and the difficulty plunges, buying mining equipment could be even more lucrative over the long haul than buying coins.
2934  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 10, 2014, 03:45:19 PM
Sell, you bastards! Sell why you still can. If we hurry, we can still catch 300 or $266 support before this turns into another 2011.

otherwise, whales are our only hope.

Smart whales would let this baby bottom out before pumping.
2935  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 10, 2014, 03:43:57 PM
We'll close tomorrow at ~$365. You heard it here first!

the dev killed his coin by that stupid post, notice how nobody's buying ghc anymore, what a retard this dev is

I am still buying, sell me your cheap GHC! Keep voting on Mintpal also!
Mintpal is a coin grave yard. Dumping ground, nothing more. If you really want this coin to plummet in value then keep voting.

Look what happened to several recent coins, first down to 1 Satoshi then only remain in LTC market then no buy orders.

Most ignorant shit I've read.  Look at the coins that died lol

This. Several coins I hold have been added to MintPal recently, and they're all kicking ass. Myriad, Blackcoin, and Faircoin. Shitty coins will die no matter which exchange they're on.

Just wanted to raise an idea with the group. I really like BLK as a symbol for BlackCoin, and it could be legitimized fairly easily.

BL is the country code for a small island: Saint Barthélemy

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_3166-2:BL
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_Barth%C3%A9lemy

The way the ISO currency codes work, the first two letters are an ISO country code, and the last letter is determined by the country itself.

We have a good precedent in ccTLD's (domain names), where small island nations which were blessed with a useful country code have leveraged their names. I don't think selling ISO currency codes will be nearly as lucrative, but the same principles apply.

Finding the right person or group to speak to would be the first challenge, then the ISO. The island is not presently marketing .bl domain names.

neat idea, but i think your over thinking this. crypto's have no boarders... lets not limit ourselves.

Could be an interesting little side project/publicity stunt though.

2940  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BlackCoin (BC) | on exchanges | PoS | No premine on: April 08, 2014, 05:45:44 PM
but at the end of the year I hope to see you around so I can say "I told you so".

I'll be only too happy to oblige. I've been wrong about plenty things and don't mind being proved wrong again, I just see what I see and once you've seen the same pattern a few times an element of predictability starts accompanying these observations.

For example Myriadcoin has a load of "interesting" distinguishing features just like BC did at the start but it's sitting there as yet unpumped at 450 Satoshis - one tenth of BC's value even corrected for coin supply. I'd be hard pushed to guess which one had the more upside at this point regardless of whatever long term factors apply.

Erm... No it doesn't. It suffers from extremely high coin inflation, a flawed distribution model. All it has is multiple mining algorithms which mean nothing to non-miners.

There are some legitimate criticisms of Myriadcoin for sure, but a flawed distribution model is not one of them. It allows anyone with any hardware to jump in at anytime. Maybe BC's instamine was a more fair distribution model?
