I must've missed the part about how the network will be secured.

At this point, the bulls are just the suckers who bought in way too high.

On a positive note, here's some GREAT news that hasn't been released to the public yet until just now.My real name is Ryan Ridgway, acting as Director of Marketing and Communications for iCoin, and I will officially be one of the keynote speakers at the upcoming Crypto Currency Convention taking place April 9th in New York City, the financial capital of the world. I will be giving a 15-minute "Ted Talks style" speech about iCoin and the future of currency as a whole, to an audience of over 2,000 individuals including large industry pundits, and wall street bankers. We will have a 10x10 booth at the event, and my intent is to throw a VIP after party hosted by iCoin in one of the more prestigious clubs in NYC. iCoin will be ALL OVER THE PLACE! (Booth, bags, promos, magazines, iteneraries, TV's, scrolling digital advertising boards, etc...) iCoin will appear in Wall Street Journal, Bitcoin Magazine, and numerous other publications. Additionally, we paid for our event sponsorship in iCoin, will be giving out 75,000+ ICN at the event, and people can even pay for the convention tickets using iCoin! I'd love to meet a few of you if you live in the states, or willing to make the intercontinental flight to NYC. - - - - - I am committed to serving you and making iCoin an astounding success. I hope the above mentioned proves my intent, and I still have plenty more tricks up my sleeve that I will wait to release. Feel free to connect with me on LinkedIn -> www.linkedin.com/in/ryanridgway That's great news! I'm sure as hell glad you're on the iCoin team.

There's no such thing as free unless it's a P2Pool. The owners are skimming BTCs.

Isn't darkcoin (already released) anonymous and kinda defeats Zerocoin purpose?
Darkcoin uses the coinjoin protocol which is mostly anonymous, but there are lots of tricks and exploits for someone (especially a government)to be able to figure out a user's identity. So it's really not much better than bitcoin for anonymity. It's just hyped.

I've started a 0% fee P2Pool node based in Hong Kong. The hardware is solid, the latency is low, and there are no fees of any kind, so lets find some blocks!
Just point your miners to btc.blockfinders.org:9332 and use your bitcoin address as your username, and any password.
Bitcoin is thriving in Hong Kong and it's about time we have our own P2pool! Let's help keep bitcoin decentralized! It's also been proven that p2pool is the most profitable mining pool, as long as you have a good local node.

Anoncoin is adding the zerocoin protocol. http://www.reddit.com/r/Anoncoin/comments/1x71aj/zerocoin_update/Keep in mind zerocoin is more of a protocol than a currency. We don't know if or when the researchers might actually release a coin into the wild. It looks to me like they'd just release a set of technical specs. So if Anoncoin can pull it off, Anoncoin basically will be zerocoin.

Hey Meeh, I think an upgrade for the Coin's logo should be made. I know it's not your first priority right now with Zerocoin implementation in the works, but still the log is a bit unappealing.
Best regards
Just an anonymous investor.
I totally agree, but we got less designers in the team. There are probably lots of good designers in the community. We could hold a little contest.

Address: btc.blockfinders.org:9332 Your user name is your btc wallet address. Password is anything you want. Payouts occur automatically to your address.
P2pool is a decentralized pool with over 180TH of mining power. It pays out better than any other pool - this is a proven fact! So come mine with us so you get more bitcoins, and help keep the bitcoin network safe.

Can't sync wallet. It looks like this coin needs to be relaunched - with a wallet that can sync, a mining client without a virus, etc.

I still don't think the trading volume is high enough for a multipool to mine iCoin yet.

I thought this coin was dead too, after the scambeck fiasco. I was an angry bagholder for a while, but I'm pleasantly surprised now by the direction this coin is heading in. The community turned the situation around very quickly, and now worldcoin is probably in the best position it's ever been in, in many ways at least.

Because fedoracoin's anonymous feature is very simplistic and relies on a third party. It's basically no different than those bitcoin services where you send them your coins and the pass them on so there is no direct link between you and the other party. So by clicking that box you are sending your coins to a centralized third party that you must trust, because they could just as easily keep your coins and they'd never reach their destination.
This. The kind of anonymous transactions that the community are looking for don't rely on a central authority. In fact, having a central authority for anything goes against one of the main points of cryptocurrency. That said, TiPS is a much better coin since the community takeover, and I expect the value to rise accordingly, once the investors and crypto community get up to speed.

So I downloaded this blockchain torrent and and ran bitcoind in a screen session on Sunday. A line of "y"s kept running down my screen, as if it's checking the file block by block? Anyway, I typed "ps aux" and it says that a procees called "YES" was using up almost 100% of one core, and screen was using up 56% of another. I just checked in on my VPS, and the thing is still maxing out almost 2 cores. Does anyone know what could be happening here?
