2941  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What to do if you lose $2,000 in trading? on: March 28, 2018, 10:40:50 PM
If you lose $2,000 worth of cryptocurrency, then there is a problem to you. Check first yourself if you have capability in trading because if you will continue what will you do, it may lead to total bankruptcy. Unless, you are a millionaire.
Trading is a risky way of earning, you may gain or lose money. If you will enter the world of trading, be wisely and knows every side wether dump or pump of the coins you hold.

Not entirely and not pertaining on personal level to you, but I think there is a problem with your strategy. Losing that much I think means that whatever plan you implement went down south and should be reviewed so that you can change it. Thus, it is important that you step away for a while to evaluate what happened. As you do this, your eyes will be open to those things that you should not pursue, or in the language of business, not invest in. I think that ego should not be a part of it because no one would just you if you walk away after losing that much.
2942  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Vitrocoin real or scam? on: March 28, 2018, 09:55:07 PM
Guys vitrocoin, a lending and exchange platform, which used to give 100 coins free for signing up and now they're giving 1 coin, according to them 1 vtc is worth $30, I've signed up earlier and got 100 coins which are worth $3000, it seems unreal. Is is real or just a scam?

Try to use some information sites, which can give you useful information to help you check whether it's a scam or not. I  would honestly say that I don't know much about this platform, but what I can say is if you smell something fishy that prompted you to ask this question, and many other people are looking at it in the same light, then that could be a good indicator that such platform could really be a scam. Another aspect to consider is the support it's getting, if a big number of people are using it, then that might be a good supportive information pertaining to its legitimacy.
2943  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining , still worth it? on: March 28, 2018, 09:25:21 PM
Depending on what coins and algorithm that mined by them. Some of the CPU-based coins still profitable till now, but am not too sure how much electricity cost in your Country. Test it first using CPU-Based coin online calculator (+- 10% accurate) then calculating with electricity cost.

I agree. The issue here is always with the capital. If you will be using so much capital only to get a descent or a break even return, then why would you even bother? Many people, specifically those who have already been in the mining department for quite a while now, that mining has been more difficult in the recent years compared to when the cryptocurrency is in the climbing stages. One reason for that is it's harder now since most of the mineable coins are reaching or at least getting closer to the ceiling of their market caps. So the time and energy you spend in mining only yields you less, which is why many people engaged in mining have recently switched to other ventures.
2944  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do you love Bitcoin? on: March 28, 2018, 09:10:17 PM
I love bitcoin because its the crypto currency and its the king of the crypto.
It hasa lot of use cases.
I can exchange it to any other crypto.

Why do you love Bitcoin?
Why are you interested?

I love it because it helped me gain fair profit, which helps me pay for my needs. I actually started in this market about a year ago when I was searching for an online part-time job, back then, I didn't know much about this market, but luckily, a workmate was willing teach me how it works and how I can start. After some tutorials, I then realized how I can gain from it, and so, as they say, the rest is history. It's a good market to be involved in, and it can advantages despite the many disadvantages it has like most people say.
2945  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is now a good time to buy Eth? on: March 28, 2018, 08:55:22 PM
Newbie here... I've been thinking about buying my first crypto. I think I want to buy ETH, but wondering if I missed the boat already?

Primarily I'm choosing ETH because I think there are less foreseeable limitations than BTC, and it seems like ETH is basically accepted everywhere BTC is. Plus its cheaper  Grin

Is now a good time to buy it? Should I wait?

I would say it is. I am not saying that the market and many of its assets falling is a good thing, but I am pretty sure that if you follow the concept of sell high and buy low, then this time would be the best time because many assets across the market are not in a good state, and since that's the case, their values are ripe to be bought because you can get more assets for less capital. However, don't forget that since the state of the market is as such, then you would need to have extra patience to wait for your investment's return.
2946  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the perfect Cryptocurrency? on: March 28, 2018, 08:40:35 PM
There isnt one. As close as we get to perfect could be bitcoin possibly but the notion of perfect does not exist. There are pros and cons to all these coins but that is just it at the end of the day they all have flaws and leaks.

That being said I would say bitcoin is as close to a perfect crypto there can be right now

I agree, and also, be ready to get these sort of answers or of the same context. The fact is, in this market, every coin or token has their pros and cons. Even Bitcoin, being the strongest cryptocurrency around and having the best value, is no where near a perfect cryptocurrency. Because if it is, then it would not be affected by market trends and changes that lead to its dive in value, just like what's happening in the previous weeks. The level of reaching that "perfect" state for any coin is highly unlikely because there are so many factors affecting the value, marketability, view of the community in relation to any coin.
2947  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO ban and #deletefacebook on: March 28, 2018, 08:25:05 PM
It is not the end of the world that social media ban crypto ads on Facebook and Twitter. Those ICOs will find a new way to advertise their projects through other channels.

That's right. I think that those social media platforms would find and incorporate others means and ways to use the cryptocurrency market to their advantage. It's profit after all, so anyone would surely leave a space for it to come in. What I am saying is that, even if I don't know the reason why these social media platforms have to ban cryptocurrency-related ads, they would not let an uprising and legitimate business just slip their grasp and just not be a part of. Facebook and Twitter live by the traffic they get from people, and I am pretty sure that the number of people who login for the sake of knowing and learning about cryptocurrencies is a lot.
2948  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHY PANIC? Regulation talks are positive on: March 28, 2018, 08:10:38 PM
Well it depends on the level of regulation. If they severely restrict who can transact or even outlaw bitcoin then we could be in trouble. Banning or restricting ICOs would also have a negative impact because a lot of the money transacted inc cryptos is being fueled by ICO investment etc. If suddenly they become a heavily restricted market with KYC regulations etc then a lot of them will die off or find it hard to get investors.

That's right. The word or act of regulating can mean so many ways. Each country has their own view of how the cryptocurrency market works, and what it can do for the market globally, and in their local markets as well. Unfortunately, many countries and business entities still that the cryptocurrency is not a good means to do business, and so, it stops them from actually embracing the market. I just hoping that whatever regulation will be made is for the better and not for the worse. Also, I hope that it has provisions that would safeguard its users.
2949  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin used by criminals ? on: March 28, 2018, 07:55:32 PM
I once read an article that says bitcoin is used as a payment transaction for terrorists and hackers. And maybe you guys in this forum also already know it. But here i want to convey my personal opinion in that matter. I think that internet and bitcoin interrelated. Many terrorists and criminals use internet .so also with bitcoin which used perpetrator However, despite all these issues, do people make concrete efforts to ban the internet? No. Not because removing and banning Bitcoin is difficult, but because the internet offers more positive than negative. For the same reason, we have to be more careful about our mindset for Bitcoin, because much evidence has shown that Bitcoin brings many positive, if not more, effects than the internet. Internet and Bitcoin are just devices that 'bad guys' and 'good people'. Fortunately, the world is filled with more people in the 'good people' category.

Well, you have your point mate, and I would say that there may be a good possibility for this to happen. I say that because one of the features of cryptocurrency is to transact with privacy and borderline secrecy because it doesn't have any paper trail and records that would show the birth to the conclusion of the transaction. I am sure that that factor would be highly sought after by dark entities because it would save them the effort hiding their dirty business.
2950  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Market Goes Down and Down on: March 28, 2018, 07:40:09 PM
It's a Very Struggling time for Cryptocurrencies. The Market Goes down approx 10 to 15 Percent. Bitcoin Drop down $7k, On the other Hand, Ethereum goes down $400.

And I am sure that you are not the one who are very worried seeing the market really struggling to get up in the last couple of months or so. The bears still rule the market sad to say. And there are no news that will push the price to at least $10K. And many are also doing shorting, buy in dips and when the price goes up a bit and then see profit, they immediately jump on the opportunity to take it.

That's how the market works right now, but hey its not the end and I firmly believed that we can't go like this forever, there will be a time, probably mid to end of the year that bitcoin will make a massive bull run so don't lose hope at this time.

It's true, the market may be struggling right now because many assets are not doing good. However, I think, like many others, that this happening is a normal part of how the market works. No market is perfect, and sometimes, even the best coins in the market could still succumb to the negative impact of some trends like what's happening to Bitcoin right now due to the banning of advertisement of some social media platforms with contents related to the cryptocurrency market.
2951  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The fall of cryptocurrency on: March 22, 2018, 10:34:03 AM
What about the crypt? tell me when it will unfold? Or give a sign at least some, because I'm already beginning to think about quitting the game.

Now the price of bitcoin and altcoins very down because many news about banned bitcoin. The latest news about bitcoin come from twitter. Twitter said they will ban all of cryptocurrency and ico advertising so it makes the market is panic and the price is down. But im very sure this is not the end of cryptocurrency. Im very sure in the end of this year the price will go high again.
Dont be panic.

That's right. I think many people are becoming really panicky because of the fact that Bitcoin, which is the best and pioneer coin, has been quite erratic with the rise and fall of its value. However, I don't think that you can just jump the gun and equate those movements to its fall because that's just how this market works. It's an expectation that market assets would be volatile like this. I know that some happenings from around the market like the banning of several sites to accept cryptocurrency-related advertisements can really be a big blow, but on the one hand, we have come to see that cryptocurrencies also has the capacity to adjust and rise up to those negative things.
2952  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Advertising on: March 22, 2018, 09:03:13 AM
Yes we can but the question is who is willing to pay bitcoin advertisements? As you can see bitcoin survive for how many years already in real world without tv advertisements. Only peer to peer transaction and only people who are looking for a job in search ingine in google can find out what is bitcoin and also some people talking and inviting there friends to join in bitcoin community os a good option since no one are willing to pay in tv advertisements for bitcoin.

That's right. Advertising is always critical for a project to be introduced, and in turn, to prosper in the market. However, the better question here is if there's someone willing to pay for advertisements like this. While it is true that the cryptocurrency market is an up-and-coming market, there still a lot of people who don't have any idea about it, and part of an advertisement being a good and effective one is its recognition when seen by people, which evidently cryptocurrency advertisements will lack. So, instead of a more mainstream approach, I think it's better if the marketing schemes would be done in forum like this where most people are already interested and would actually spend time checking out the advertisements.
2953  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is better than gold on: March 22, 2018, 08:48:36 AM
The 1 main difference between gold and BTC is that gold is actually used in the creation of goods which can be bought and sold. The demand for gold is not just speculative, as a good portion of that demand is actually as a raw material. Gold is entrenched in many cultures belief and reward system and this demand underpins it's valuation.

I am not disagreeing with you, I am just pointing out that the gold price has certain fundamental factors affecting the underlying price, which BTC does not.

I agree. I'm not saying that Bitcoin doesn't have that value and marketability as gold has, but I side with gold due to the fact that it has been regarded in the market as one of the valuable commodities that has proven itself through the years. Also, it's more reliable to be held as an asset for more people because it has been widely accepted that gold's value is a standard, and so, is more reliable to the eyes of more people. Compared to Bitcoin, although it has been at a steady climb to gain great value, it's volatility is a feature that some people can't shake off when they think of how trust-worthy Bitcoin is as an investment.
2954  Other / Meta / Re: Merit is so unfair on: March 22, 2018, 08:29:27 AM
Isn't it so unfair for the people who is new here? That will be struggling making such as good quality post so they could be given a merit by someone. I know all of you is having a hard time thinking what are you going to post such as good quality.

It is really hard to have a merit it is because as far as I know:
People are selfish. Even though you post a really good quality post still there is a people who won't give you a merit.
Some are alone. Like me, I don't really have much friend who would give me a free merit. I know that it is easy to have a merit with a friend that have an account of bitcointalk.

My question is. Why still need merit? We are still struggling to rank because of the merit.

It has its pros and cons. I think you are a little mistaking it being unfair, with the difficulty to obtain it. I know that many people don't actually give much attention to checking out the content of another person's reply, and that's what's make it difficult to get merits. According to the forum manager, the main purpose of enabling this merit system is to avoid people from spamming or flooding unwanted and non-sense contents that do no good in this forum. If you consider that, then they have a valid reason. It's just that I wish the amount is not so much, since they have to accept that when a person gives a merit point, it's extra effort on his part, which is not usually happening.
2955  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should more companies embrace crypto payment gateways? on: March 22, 2018, 08:13:40 AM
The crypto scene where I'm from isn't that vibrant, but there are still cafes and some places that accept cryptocurrency as a legitimate form of payment. Just curious if bigger companies would hop on the train too, and if they do, how would that impact the market?

If that happens, I am sure that the landscape of the cryptocurrency, or the Bitcoin market to be specific, will change. I say that because I think if the small and ground level business which are closer to people would accept cryptocurrency as a means of payment, it would imply that they are accepting its legitimacy as a market asset like any other prevailing currency, and so, that would make people see that there is nothing to fear when investing or doing ventures by the use of cryptocurrencies. It could give them the idea that since businesses accept it, then I can also accept it.
2956  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are You Discouraged with Bitcoin? on: March 22, 2018, 07:47:17 AM

The problem of scalability has reared its ugly head again this time when transactions are clogging and when we are about to experience the coming of the Bitcoin Futures. People have been expecting that soon Bitcoin can reach the mainstream with the legitimization it has been going through with the introduction of the Bitcoin Futures Contracts.

People are now strongly complaining of the shockingly high fees imposed by wallets and exchanges for the transfer of Bitcoin and this should not be ignored by those tasked with making decisions for Bitcoin. This whole thing can kill Bitcoin gradually if not given the appropriate remedy.

Do you feel like discouraged about Bitcoin with this latest debacle?

No, I am not. I have been in this market for quite some time, and so I have witnessed the many trends and changes that Bitcoin has undergone through that time. Bitcoin, even if it is the strongest coin around, should not be treated as immune to the many changes and trends that happen in the market day in and day out. Every market asset is susceptible to dips and dumps as they are also capable of climbing and surging at any point. Therefore, since I have followed the movement of Bitcoin, I know that even during the times it falls down to its lowest point compared to recent years, I also believe that it always has that capacity to climb back up, it's just a matter of patience.
2957  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coins you think that it can be bigger in future? on: March 22, 2018, 06:56:30 AM
Hello Everyone,

There are many coins/Tokens are coming in everyday. But maximum coins are scam or bullshit except few good. So, what do you think about those few good coins/tokens? and what is their name? Please share with us.

Thank You

In future Ethereum will cost much more. Its price might rise two or three times. Litecoin can cost also 70-80% more in the nearest future. Certainly, I would add DASH into this list.
One point of view - you can look at list in bitfinex. In this exchange usually there are great altcoins.

I agree. It has always been Ethereum for me as the second-best coin after Bitcoin, and I think that it also has the best potential to be able to reach the heights Bitcoin has reached over the years. The trust and support people give it, plus the fact that it's one of the strongest and most enduring coins in the market are good qualities so-to-speak to determine that Ethereum has a good future ahead of it. It's also one of the coins that has a good price point that really urges people to invest on it or use it in their ventures.
2958  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to Make Money in Crypto on: March 22, 2018, 06:37:53 AM
many ways to make money from Crypto you can doing trading and joining ICO bounty campaign its easy to earn money

I agree with the above-stated answer. However, since the question of this thread is how to make money, then I just would like to add the end game of any and every investment or venture being sought after by people. The critical part there is to encash whatever you earn through exchange or trading site. For most people, the "act" of making a profit in the cryptocurrency market ends when they get return from their trade, investment or bounty, that's because most of them see their ventures as investments that they only circulate whatever they earn back to the market, but if you want to make money, you have to dispose off your coins to get your profit by money.
2959  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Crypto end? on: March 22, 2018, 06:22:54 AM
Crypto right now keeps on increasing its value and its very volatile as well. There are so many more rules and regulation are occurring against cryptocurrencies.

Do you think someday cryptocurrencies will end?
Is it too late to invest?
Is there a chance cryptocurrencies will be more down?
Do you still beleive in crypto?
What is your favourite Altcoin?

There's always that possibility; nothing can last forever even if its the strongest currency or market on Earth. Maybe its not due to the decline of support and usage, but as people, it's normal for us to seek ways on how to improve things and how to make life easier, and part of that improvement will always be in the avenue of business. So, if there will be a new means of business where people can venture in that is similar to how cryptocurrencies work, then it's not too far fetched that people would begin to lose interest in cryptocurrencies and shift to the new one.
2960  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO VS TRADING on: March 21, 2018, 10:02:24 PM
I want to start investing for ico and trading. Please to help from where should I start?

What needs to be prepared and cared for before starting it?

I am very grateful for the members who helped me in this forum.

and maybe this can also re-remind the new citizens who want to enter the world of investment (trading and ico).

thanks

They are two different animals, but one thing is key, you really need to fill yourself with knowledge and have the right strategy to actually be able to succeed in those fields. For ICO investment, it's important that you have a knack for looking behind the garbage and checking those projects that could have better chances of success, since there are so many going out, it's normal that you should be able to determine which ones are good and which ones are bad. For trading, you need to have a wide collection of coins in your stash, and also, you need to check the market closely so that you would not end up doing bad trades. Both has their own pros and cons, and it's up to you to decide whether you can be able to handle them.
