So basically you want to make it easier for people to buy/sell signature space?
I would be very against anything that makes that practice easier. That generally encourages people spamming more posts to ensure a high enough post count and activity level for maximum payout. I've definitely noticed more spam by users with paid signatures than without.

... so why not some way for forum members to host signature lists that users can sign up for and adjust their space? ...
Can you rephrase that idea? I don't understand it, and am pretty sure I won't be the only one. If it's something about making it easier for people to sell signature space (my guess of what you meant), then that probably will not happen.

How do you tell the difference between a novelty-coin and an alt-coin? To me they're pretty much the same thing except for maybe Litecoin and Namecoin.

Wrong
You have reported 9 posts with 100% accuracy
This is good, it shows I'm not on a power trip and will intervene only when necessary.
Picking out the obvious isn't a special skill, that's what only 9 reports with 100% accuracy says.

This is exactly not how people become moderators Pretty sure theymos asks you to be a mod then you accept or deny. Otherwise asking just looks bad and shady. AFAIK theymos asking you to be one is the only way to become one. Highlighted for emphasis.

It's funny that the majority of the complaints are from tools with paid sigs.
Calling people tools is a bit harsh. The time limits don't bother me now as they're virtually non-existant, but they did as a newb when you lost posts you'd written out, so I can understand peoples' frustrations, especially when they're trying to get paid for their posts. 42 activity and 1400 posts... that sets off some red flags.

The word you seek is CULPABILITY.
Let me use it in a sentence for you:
"Theymos is culpable for the theft because he FORCED all users on this board to TRUST a criminal who ended up stealing from the community". I still think you don't know how the trust system works...

I'm getting more annoyed at all the Dogecoin threads in the newbie section.
Report them Is it a reportable offence? Hell yes it is, please do report any alt-coin threads in the newbie section... that's not the right place for them. It was tysat IIRC
+1 for remembering correctly.

I still want an avatar . I wonder how long it is gonna be until we get an avatar thread? Soon, but the forum runs on something very close to Valve Time.
Maybe it would be possible to make a page that starts at the first unread post and includes all the unread posts in the thread?
Click the new button next to a post and it will take you to the new posts in the thread that you haven't read yet.

Here's the real question:
Why do you want to be on default trust? or... why do you care so much?
I would assume that asking is not the way
Posts like this make you seem batshit insane.
Not only you are not ignoring people that annoy you but you feed them as well I can either ignore them or reply to every single of their stupid posts to make them appear for what they are to the eyes of a newbie. That is why i would love this function. Doing that is kind of dumb...

Avatars are not disabled, changing avatars is what is disabled. Anyone who had one set prior to the forum hack still has one.
@OP If people who create new threads don't search, then why is your thread going to help? You're a part of the problem not the solution.
It's not going to happen. The alt-coin section exists so there's a place to throw discussion about alt-coins, because otherwise it'd be spread out all over the board.
The ignore button already highlights based off of how much people are ignored, no reason to have something else.

OP,
What you're taking about will never happen with Bitcoin, it would be a complete change of protocol. How would you force every transaction to have a password?
Plus people could still easily spam the network. To send a transaction it would have to propagate out to find the right recipient, so someone could still spam out junk transactions... hell it'd probably be worse, because no one would be able to tell what a real transaction was (if it were encrypted).
ok so lets make it easyer we wont have to make the change on the Bitcoin protocol, if everyone agrees we will implement this feature on every wallet? wallet to wallet password?i think its a small feature that only requires both person A and person B to know the password inorder to activate the transaction. i know i would use it every time i send a bitcoin from my 1st wallet to my 2nd wallet and be Sure that i'm sending it to the right person!, if not it wont be sent, easy as that. i have already lost some coin by sending it to the wrong adress. I can tell you right now, not everyone is going to agree to that. Interesting idea, but not practical at all.
