301  Economy / Economics / Re: How many bitcoiners on here have actually used bitcoin/crypto for commerce? on: November 01, 2019, 11:18:05 AM
Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general will only advance if people actually use it for more than speculation.

In the past we've seen lots of retailers enabling bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies in their checkouts, and then been disappointed that hardly anyone has used the function. And we have had some orgs like Steam disabling bitcoin and giving up on it.

So how many people on here have actually used cryptocurrency in real life?

I'll start: I haven't used bitcoin (because I consider that savings), but I have used dogecoin to buy gift cards and bitcoincash (BCH) to deposit to a betting website via BitPay.

Anyone else want to share their experiences?
Well, I have used bitcoin for e commerce many a times. I own a website and I renew it by using bitcoins and also I pay my phone bills using bitcoins itself. This wasn't the case a couple years back as the websites that accept bitcoins were less as compared to today, now countries are also supporting blockchain in general which directly benefits bitcoin according to me. Back then people used to think that bitcoin is just another dark web currency.
302  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don't react to the fluctuations on: November 01, 2019, 09:16:27 AM
We have been doing same mistakes again and again that's by reacting to the market fluctuations as either we tend to start buying like there is no tomorrow when we see pump or else panic and empty our coffers for slightest  dump and the reason I am suggesting you all to stop reacting is for the fact that the bitcoin market is going through quick pump and dump from past 4 or 5 days so it will prove fatal if we sell out or buy at this point of time. Just take some time and look observe the trend for week or so before jumping into any conclusion.
Well, for a long term investor the daily trends never matter, he does what he believes in and buy it and forgets it for a long period of time and then after that he cashes out. But for a day trader like me, daily fluctuations are very useful to make a few bucks, just your timing should be right to go in and cash out.
303  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Invest in bitcoin casino bankroll on: November 01, 2019, 08:48:50 AM
I have made an investment of around 1k in a crypto casino.
After 1 month I am in positive trend but not a lot has been made as profit. I wonder if I have made some wrong decision in choosing bankroll or it is just like that.
It's already a good decision even if that's only a small amount of profit that means that you have a good investment already and place your money in the right place. I don't think that it is wrong on a decision you made.
It's definitely a good decision to invest in the bankroll of a casino, as the casino have a house edge which makes them money in long run. There can be a few high rollers in between that make money in the casino, but surely in the long run it is the casino that's going to win and give you the profit for investing in them.
304  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What messenger do you use to chat with your crypto gambling buddies? on: November 01, 2019, 08:15:42 AM
Gambling sites also have a chatroom, some are not but I have some relatives that also playing gambling online but we don't have a group chat, just do personal message and giving some advice or techniques. We are just using a Facebook messenger, and I think most of the time Facebook messenger is the most useful app when communicating online.
You should try using telegram for some time, you will feel the difference and simplicity in using it. Telegram is more towards privacy and also as we all know that Facebook shares our information and also sells it to the companies to make money. So try telegram for one, there you can also join gambling related groups where there are more than 10k people, and some groups are really small but give you very useful tips.

306  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is your best HODL in this Red Zone? on: August 13, 2018, 09:14:52 PM
As we are looking at the market currently, the whole thing is dumping like anything. There is no thorough explanation about the whole scenario as to why the crypto currencies are dropping by so hard and hence I am eager to know what are you guys holding at this point.

Have you converted everything to the BTC or any other safe currency that you see out in the market?

Is there anyone of you who is holding all the assets back into the USDT, the Tether one or have you converted everything back to the fiat. ?

Yes I have converted my bitcoins into USDT for keeping them safe as the market was going red and I had to park my money somewhere else and I found USDT to be the safest as altcoins as also going in red even they didn't even rose this time along with bitcoin so it didn't felt safe for me to buy alts by selling bitcoins.
307  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you actually think major coins will be live in 2025? on: August 13, 2018, 08:33:26 PM
In my personal opinion only few coins like bitcoin, ethereum and few other coins will last that long, all other faster then bullet, partnership coins, and many other shitcoin will die. what you think?
A majority of coins die right after they are listed on an exchange as the bounty hunters sell their coins and dumps the coin to its death so no one else buys that coin and this makes the coin dead in just a matter of few days after the launch on the exchange. So there won't be so many coins in the future as there are currently as the ICO trend is also coming to a halt.
308  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trader or Gamblers. on: August 13, 2018, 08:08:17 PM
Gambling is a sin and you shouldn't do that. Even though you earn something from it, that's just not a good idea to earn money. There is lot of ways to earn money, but please don't gamble it just make you worse. I'd recommend trading even though you are keep losing your money, but hey at least you do something rather than rely on your luck.
I don't think that gambling is a sin and we shouldn't do it. I mean having affairs is also considered as sin and Gods also used to have more than one wife so they were also committing sins. But it's upon the person that is doing it that whether he considers gambling as a sin or not, so it doesn't matter what you think.
309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Eth will back to 500$ on: August 12, 2018, 07:35:45 PM
Hi

you think Eth will back to 500$ ?
Nah I don't think jhat Ether will come back to $500, it was overhyped if you ask me and was way beyond its true price so the price coming down was pretty obvious for me. There are many other coins that are providing better functionalities than ethereum for example check lisk its way lower the price of Etherum but provides more functionalities than ethereum.
310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Invest in ICO or buy BTC? on: August 12, 2018, 06:59:16 PM
I am a newcomer to the crypto market.
Should I invest in ICO projects or would I buy bitcoin to hold and wait for the price? Please give me advice.
Sincerely thank you.
Buying bitcoin and holding is the best advice for new comers who doesn't even know about ICO and other scams related to crypto. So I would advise you to buy bitcoins for now and when you will become familiar with this cryptosphere then you can divert to other ways to make money like participating in any ICO or a bounty campaign.
311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I have only 200€ to invest on: August 11, 2018, 11:08:26 PM
Hello Im new on this forum, can you help me to choose good coin for me? I have only 200€ to spend, I was thinking about ETH/LTC but is it worth when I have only 200? Or should I try my luck with something cheap.
I would advise you to buy bitcoin right now as it is surely gonna give you 3x return at least on one year as the current market situation is that the market is in a dump phase and when the pump will start then it will hit at least $20k for sure, so there is a 3x profit staring right at you in the eye, all you have to do is be brave and buy bitcoin.
312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH Is going to hit 200 USD? on: August 11, 2018, 09:40:20 PM
What's happening with Ethereum? The most promising coins becoming garbage! Yes, we know the bearish market has come again, but ETH in 330 USD?! It is unbelievable. People told that In August, the crypto bull market will start and now we are seeing the bearish market ever in 2018! I can't believe ETH is now 330 USD. What about you guys?
People can only predict and there isn't any reason behind the falling prices of crypto. But there was an article on bitcoin news that the current market is falling because the ETF got rejected so it was given that the rumour of ETF being approved gave the market a push and the prices rose but the news of ETF being rejected again pushed the prices down.
313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you been scammed? or almost? on: August 11, 2018, 09:25:29 PM
I almost got scammed on twitter by a fake account. Scammers are setting up fake accounts pretending to be other people/ICO's/Tokens. It's very tricky if you are not paying attention. Make sure you check spelling on all names to be correct. Be careful who you give your info to. Even if it's just your email address. Scammers will not stop scamming so watch out and pay close attention to what you are signing up for. Good Luck everyone and be safe!
I have been scammed once but not on Twitter, I was buying a product on selly and then I paid for the product but in return I never got the product I ordered. So I called the seller and he said to wait for a day till the delivery and then I waited too but there was not any message in my mail regarding that and then the seller also stopped responding to my mails.
314  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Right time to buy a lot of bitcoin. on: August 10, 2018, 07:32:19 PM
I think now is the right time to buy more bitcoin because the price is very low,  but I think after a while bitcoin price will rise again and if we buy  more now we cant make more money in the near future. What do yo think?
Making money in the near future from investing now in bitcoin is a pretty hard task as I don't think that this would be possible for you because of the bitcoin price movements now a days as it just rise a couple thousand dollars before it falls prey to the resistance and again fall back to from where it started. So if you are risking your money in investing in bitcoins then I would say that you should keep your money in bitcoin for more than a couple of months upto an year at least.
315  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where to study trading and technical analysis? on: August 10, 2018, 06:47:21 PM
Hi,
I really want to get into trading BTC.. what's the best way to learn it? any recommended course online?
Thanks a lot.
There are many courses available on Udemy and that's the best place to learn anything if you ask me. I also read somewhere that you only need to read 3 books on any topic to know most of the basics about that industry so you can also start by getting books off Amazon or trying some free ebooks and if you then decide to risk your money in trading then it's a best of luck from me and I hope that you make it good.
316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KYC in crypto, does it really require? on: August 10, 2018, 05:37:34 PM
Do we really need to submit our personal details to ICOs for buying the token or for participating in it's bounty and airdrop?
I always wonder why do we need to give our vital info to ICOs that most are not even likely to come on in crypto space and crypto is all about decentralization but submitting our info has made it look centralized to me.
There is no regulation in crypto yet so why should we give our details to unknow ico organizers, so claim to prevent some region in participating in the ico because of the country law but those ICOs comes from the same region and country that prevent their own citizen from participating, should we say they are using style to rob us or our details is being used for other purpose .
I think it's high time we all need to stop giving our details to ICOs if really the crypto is all about decentralized and their is no regulation in the world yet to really require such details, I will like to know everyone minds about the submission of our details in term of KYC .
There are many countries that have banned investing in ICO for its citizens so the cryptocurrency projects does have to comply to that and that's why they are adapting to these methods as they don't want to get into any trouble by letting the investors from those regulated countries to invest in their ICO. This is the sole reason for kyc in ICO and it can also be Baca use they are preventing money laundering by asking the investors for KYC before accepting any payments.
317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What do you think 1 ETH in USD when about 2020 ? on: August 10, 2018, 05:16:30 PM
hi guys, just wondering any one can think of the price in USD for one ETH when we reach 2020? and please give some explanation. Your input will be appreciate.
The price of ETH wouldn't be more than $2k in 2020 as the ICO are coming to an end and aren't so popular anymore as people are shifting to other alternatives to crowd fund other projects so they will go to other platform for hosting ICO and that marks the end of popularity of Etherum amongst the ICO investors.

319  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I lost 10000$ in trading, what should I do? on: August 09, 2018, 06:01:05 PM
Hi, I am a crypto-hamster and bought bitcoin when it cost 17,000 and decided to trade on the Bitfinex exchange withe margin.
In this business I was not experienced, so I followed the advice of different traders and their signals.
In the end I lost 10 thousand dollars when bitcoin fell to 6k , but it was money that I was ready to lose, i.e. free.
Now I do not have the desire to trade, but I want to earn money on crypto currency, because it's interesting and I believe that the future is for the crypto currency.
Now I want to try to make money on bounty programs.
And I want to ask you advice in this difficult matter. Where to start, and is it profitable at all?
A couple years back participating in bounty campaigns used to be very profitable even more than trading or participating in a signature campaign because back then the competition was pretty less and not a lot of people here knew about bounty campaigns but now altcoin section is far more popular than any other section here in the forum.
320  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why again the prices were falling? on: August 09, 2018, 05:30:24 PM
Currently the price of bitcoin is at $7358 and it almost fell $1000 in 72 hours,I thought this price fall is just normal at the beginning but now little worrying because I bought few bitcoin when the price bump in the thought that bull run has started.Anyone know the reason why the prices were falling and when it will be on the upward track?
Most of the people are saying that it's due to the ETF being postponed but who knows what is the genuine reason behind this, maybe it can be the ETF or another dump from the mtgox people who are dumping their coins in the market. But I think that reason is that more people were investing in bitcoin because ETF was announced and once it got postponed again the market crashed like it did last time when price was about to reach $10k.
