What a huge comeback by Houston. They're now 10 in a row!
1302  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin should some good commercial ads to promote! on: December 18, 2016, 12:31:21 PM
I disagree with your idea as bitcoin is not a commodity. So bitcoin promotion can't be done through commercial advertising. This way, people will know the name of the bitcoin but they will not go to the internet to search for this. So the purpose of bitcoin will be defeated.

Secondly, bitcoin is not owned by anyone, so who will create the advertisement and pay to channels to play it? That's a big question. Only a bitcoin related business can do that. But they will again promote their business only without actually promoting the bitcoin. I think it is better to run poster campaign through search engine and at the related websites.

Well there are ads that are there just to get the message across. I've seen a lot of them, and these are ads that are meant to spread a cause. So it really is plausible.

It should have been one of the projects of the Bitcoin Foundation, but seeing it now, I'd say it's not gonna happen in the near future.
1303  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: December 01, 2016, 06:03:31 PM
Cleveland Cavaliers vs Los Angeles Clippers I think Cleveland Cavaliers will win this encounter because at the moment Los Angeles Clippers are not into good shape there, but I will take under 215.5 points now this fight will close with very tight result.

The Cavs coming from a tough loss vs the Bucks makes me rethink this bet.
1304  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: November 29, 2016, 02:27:22 PM
Russell Westbrook made 3rd triple-double in a row, 8th in this season and 45th total. He's the best player in the NBA right now and he may finish his career as most triple-double stats. He will pass Larry Bird this season with this performance.
All time triple double leaders
1 Oscar Robertson 181
2 Magic Johnson    138
3 Jason Kidd      107
4 Wilt Chamberlain  78
5 Larry Bird       59
6 Russell Westbrook  45

Well in all honesty he has to crunch the numbers because OKC's not going anywhere this season. It's his time to catch up with the stats.

How about the Portland Vs Rockets game? Any tips?
1306  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] Do you prefer your money to be in cash or bitcoins? on: November 27, 2016, 05:36:21 PM
Money in Cash!
Bitcoins in Bitcoin.
Chocolate in Chocolate.

I can buy one or the other with the other.. Smiley

We're the same, kinda don't like the quick changes in value if I'm gonna use it on a daily basis. So cash it is.
1307  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sell my stocks buy bitcoin... on: November 27, 2016, 05:34:00 PM
Only if you are sure about the fact that you can make profit with the bitcoin its worth selling your stocks otherwise you should not do it because it will than be too risky for selling and buying right now.
Choose a wise moment too it will be very important.

It is better not to sell the stocks if the stocks can still make you profit. But invest in bitcoin is also a good choice.

With all that has happened in 2016, I suppose big economies are gonna face a slowdown. BTC may be the better investment medium once that happens.
1308  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Tired of tedious online payments? Check out Beem! on: November 27, 2016, 05:11:10 PM
Will be ready in March

IMO you've made the thread really early. Anyway, bookmarked.

Well it went 3 months and had little to no variance with the Bitcoin Gambling Investment Experiment and was slightly negative. So the fact is that is was a poor investment over that period.
Yes indeed and you dodged a bullet with that, i just wanted to say that is not just the wagered amount because they got that.
I guess that i mean that everything can change in the future, you get what im trying to say.

Win some lose some, that's how it is. From what I'm getting in reading this thread even if you're investing in the bankroll, it's the house that still benefits most and it's not worth it. I suppose it just depends on when you enter and when you get out.
1310  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Off-Season on: November 27, 2016, 12:08:49 PM
I don't think LeBron will go back to Miami again, they will burn the Cavaliers jersey of his again if that happens. He's still good if he stays in Cleveland.
Yeah theres no chance that Lebron will go back to Miami since Wade is not there and we know Lebron wants a ring and he cant do that if he goes back to Miami.
He had proven it already that he can win without wade like he just did in cleveland so there is still a chance for him to go back if the good relationship will not be maintain in cleveland. We know Lebron wants some special treatment.
there's no need for him to go back he already at home and i think cavs management will do there best to keep him at home and miami is on the process of bringing new sets of superstar coming from their rookies i think miami will be the team to watch this coming season.

True, Lebron's home. Kyrie's healthy, Love's All Star game is back, he's in full control - what more can he ask for?
1311  Economy / Speculation / Re: When do we cross the 1000 USD barrier? on: November 27, 2016, 07:06:42 AM
I don't see us getting to $1000 until late next year. If we get their sooner, it could be just a short term bubble that will burst. I do think we will eventually get there though.
Lets work it out mate we can go there if all of us work together and continue introducing bitcoin to all of our friends and relatives the more people involved the more chances that it will bring new investment and it will take effect with its value.

It will go to $1000 next year for sure....

Probably late next year? I suppose a safer bet would be the next halving season, pretty sure we'd go past $1000 by then.
1312  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is investing in mining still worth it? on: November 26, 2016, 12:58:07 PM
IMO even if the outlook of investing into mining is a bit good because of the price, I wouldn't put the majority of my investments into it. Remember, it's not only the difficulty and the price that's at play here, it's more complicated than that, and I see it as not worth the trouble.
1313  Economy / Speculation / Re: Speculation Rule: buy when others are irrationally pessimistic or too cautious on: November 26, 2016, 09:33:04 AM
Like right now I suppose? People are beginning to be more cautious.
1314  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin still be the preferred cryptocurrency after 10 years? on: November 26, 2016, 08:53:35 AM
Bitcoin's pretty much established already, it'll take a major security flaw to take it down.
1315  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: November 25, 2016, 05:38:14 PM
The Clips are playing really well, let's hope nobody on the team gets injured and they go beyond the 1st/2nd round this time.
1316  Economy / Speculation / Re: There is no reason for small price changes, Stop looking! on: November 24, 2016, 11:56:46 PM
Well if you are into day-trading these small changes are what will make you money. Every bit of info is somehow important IMO.
1317  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC keep rise again... on: November 24, 2016, 05:52:14 PM
now Bitcoin keep falling, cent after cent

Nothing to be worried about, it appears to me this is just correction for the prior price rise.
1318  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: November 24, 2016, 05:21:13 PM
OKC Thunder suffered 8 lose in 16 matches, only 0.500 percentage. Somebody help Russell Westbrook, he score another over 30 points, but still doesn't enough for Thunder to out score Sacramento Kings. The losing of Kevin Durant starting to effect them badly. It feel like a lone man fight for Russell Westbrook and that not a good thing.

Thunder after a good lost their form and facing big problem to maintain it for long run, I think so they need another good player for them to help and one man show would not be helpful for them to keep them into great form, now they are not so good so they to manage for them and think about that what is going on right now.

IMO there's no help coming this season, it's gonna be at least next year when hopefully a few big names would be free agents again.
1319  Economy / Speculation / Re: Explanation for the 710-750 drops? on: November 23, 2016, 10:56:54 PM
High price invites producers to sell. And low price invites speculators to horde.

True, so these are just normal sways I suppose. Nothing to be worried about.
1320  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcointalk Secret Santa ? I have a plan. on: November 23, 2016, 03:39:15 PM
I do like this idea but unfortunately I can't see it really working especially here as there are always those that want to rip people off.

If there was a way to ensure that only certain ranks participate it could limit this and could be a beautiful thing, I am interested if you can get this working.

Well there are highly ranked individuals who will still rip you off.

@ontopic While the idea is cool, I don't see this pushing through. Most would just give the minimum anyways.
