They belong in the trash can and the OPs of such threads belong in school.
Such rude statement is not expected from a Mod!

U paid 100.574 Satoshis/byte. As per https://btc.com/stats/unconfirmed-tx, current rate for confirmation within one block is 230+ Satoshis/byte.

My advice is use https://copay.io. If u r an advanced user, use https://coinb.in.

If BTC doesn't become a standard for small payments as well where's all the fun Smiley
Bitcoin was not created to amuse u. If u look for fun, visit amusement parks. Smiley

New laptop wont have old files...

Actually people use for long time the cloud storages for private files.
It's hard to believe for me, that a private user have any precious info as files.
The companies need to cure about the security of files.

If the user is a bitcoin user, then he should never have his wallets on the cloud.

...if there will not be a fix for the long confirmation times (don't tell me raise the fee) I doubt it will ever be used on a big scale.
If, by big scale, u mean small payments, then no. Bitcoin does not aim to scale to support huge amount of minuscule payments.

Even if it reaches 5k... this is not how it should work. It can fall down big this way.
Bitcoin does not aim to replace StartBucks. It aims to replace PetroDollar. So, this is exactly how it should work.

Look at Dogecoin how fast it is in comparison... that's the way to do it.
Look at Dogecoin price for comparison.

Let's hope for a fix... in the near future. To be trustful and really become popular it needs to be fast. It's a must.
One crypto can not be 'trustful' and 'fast' at the same time. One compliments the other.

Is 'WannaCry' creating a new address per user?

according to things you can read in this topic:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1916199.0
it seems like they have hard coded a couple of bitcoin addresses inside the ransomeware itself which asks for the payment in one of those addresses.

If they have hardcoded bitcoin addresses, then how do they monitor individual payments of different users?

The amount paid so far is $50,000. This isn't a very large amount according to bitcoin market cap. Most of the people affected by the hack aren't willing to pay because there is no surity that by paying them, there files are secure and aren't open to further hacking. Therefore, there isn't any big change gonna happen to bitcoin value.

Is there any news that files are really being decrypted after the ransom payment?

Which block explorer the malware is checking to confirm payment?

I am wondering, if I would place a bet of 0.04 BTC at your site and lets say I win. What happens in this case, since the funds of your sites wallet is only 0.42 BTC?
Why do u think there is only one address in the site wallet? Fund may spread across multiple addresses in the same wallet...
Maybe he does always think that a certain gambling sites do only have a single wallet which is not right at all and its not really a good move if they would tend to do such thing.Having multiple wallets on a certain gambling site is normal and including this site is no exception. Why wont bother not to be paid? If you hit and win then site will pay you no matter what as long they have the money, theres no problem at all.

That is probably true but my question was if the site can pay if I am betting a higher amount.. Most gambling sites have a large amount on their hot wallet and here it is only 0.4 BTC

I wonder why do u think that the hot wallet has only 0.4 BTC? U may have checked one or two addresses that are regularly used. But, u may never know how many addresses it has in hot wallet. Hence exact hot wallet balance will not be known either. Is not it?

Here we have a list of BIG payments that the site has previously made - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1635955.0

I am just wondering what are your favorite Bitcoin gambling sites and why?  Smiley

I love on-chain gambling, as I can play directly from my wallet. In on-chain gambling, is there any real alternative to https://www.chain-bet.com? They are offering 0% House Edge and operating consistently for last one year!

Is that site still active? If I not mistaken, that site is seens to good to be true, because there is no house edge, which mean how are they going to take some profit on their site if there is no house edge? This site has been debate for past months or few months ago but there is no solution on this thing

The site is operating for almost a year now and it is perfectly paying so far. Here is the thread - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1492457.0.

Also while I am making a game, you can give me some advices and I can add something else (not only on single space game).

Please bring on something new, which has not yet been implemented before. For example, Pokemon Go type game where bitcoin can be won.

We are going with a dice tournament next.  Registration will open next week.

This is sure a great promotion because dice game will attract more people and it is the simple game ever and it is easy to play, I believe this will be hard to compete because people will apply many strategy on this kind of thing. And btw can you put some link here so everyone can directly know and notice it and start to play

Congratulations to those dice gamblers, I like playing blackjack though, I missed the first BJ tournament, OFC i will be in dice one.

Due to increase in average cost of confirming a Bitcoin transaction, we are hereby increasing transaction processing fee from 0.0002 BTC to 0.0004 BTC. We understand, this might impact small bet amounts, but to ensure faster processing of bet forwarding Tx and winning amount sending Tx, we had no other way. Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

https://twitter.com/Chain_Bet_/status/854662731085078528

Ok.. So you take 0.0004 BTC for forwarding but actually pay 0.00025 BTC.. no 0% house edge anymore? The second thing is, I won one bet and the payout is still unconfirmed  which was transfered like 3 hours ago... Did you decrease the fees for payouts?

This question was raised before while transaction processing fee was 0.0002 BTC and forwarding Tx used to cost 0.0001 BTC. I explained it here to the best of my understanding - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1643248.msg16586076#msg16586076. U may like to check it out.
