1182  Local / Alt Coins (India) / Re: Monero on: March 01, 2015, 11:42:28 PM
Are memory bound coins confined to CPU/GPU mining or there are also some specialized hardware for them ? How much RAM you think is good on a CPU to mine Monero ? Is it minable by Pentium-III machine ?

For the time being no ASIC hardware exists, even if it did, no gigantic power increase would be seen.

For all your questions, here's the thread - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=583449.0

Can you please tell me what does Monero mean ? I mean does it have any meaning or just a name ?
1183  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cloud Mining - Please help a newbie on: March 01, 2015, 10:30:35 PM
cloud mining is like a ponzy .... a kinde of scam  so take care

If company has no miners and just invest money it is ponzi. But we have pretty reputable companies which actually mine. Just stay away from the shady ones.

Is there any reputable company left which is profitable, considering the ever rising difficulty of the network ?
1184  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: On completion of 3 months CloudMining.website is giving away 10% free hash power on: March 01, 2015, 10:25:24 PM
This is to inform everyone that this giveaway will be over by coming Monday, i.e. February 16, 2015, as soon as we make the weekly payment. Cost will also increase to 0.002 BTC/Ghs with immediate effect.

"On completion of 3 months we are offering 10% free hash power on all orders over 100 Ghs."

Then just after 13 days you closed the offer!!??

It seems they have modified their rate after closing this offer. Their previous flat rate of 0.001 BTC/Ghs is no more available. Now they have created different slabs.
1185  Local / Alt Coins (India) / Re: Monero on: March 01, 2015, 10:00:24 PM
Is it CPU/GPU minable or PoS ?

CPU + GPU mining (about 1:1 performance for now). Memory-bound by design using AES encryption and several SHA-3 candidates

Are memory bound coins confined to CPU/GPU mining or there are also some specialized hardware for them ? How much RAM you think is good on a CPU to mine Monero ? Is it minable by Pentium-III machine ?
1186  Economy / Gambling / Re: SwCpoker.eu | No Banking, Only Bitcoin | Bitcoin Poker 2.0 LIVE NOW! on: March 01, 2015, 09:47:10 PM
1)  yes, running lots of freerolls during this initial launch period
2)  that freeroll is likely dead Sad  but the data it generates for us is valuable.  We are now writing a system to auto-pay out failed tournaments at ICM rates. It's not ready yet, msg These are the voyages.
3) "little BTC" in a bit, 25 chip 1k GTD.  BIG BTC back next week.
4) 5 Chip OFC/p freeroll after that, it's just too fun IMO

Would u mind me asking whether U will be settling in Antigua or will go back to US ?
1187  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: CrazyPonzi.com - 140% Return | 140 Hour Duration | Daily Withdrawal on: March 01, 2015, 09:44:51 PM
Is this site just an another one like nine9.ninja??
Is the structure same, except just the waiting time?
yeah a lot of aspects are the same its most probably the same scam

No. The current system is not at all like nine9.ninja. In nine9.ninja, a deposit expires after certain time. In CrazyPonzi.com deposit does not expire unless it is paid off. It is more like WeeklyPonzi.com in my opinion.
1188  Local / Alt Coins (India) / Re: Monero on: March 01, 2015, 09:41:27 PM
Any kind of Alternate crypto currency is almost a sure shot sinking ship

There is a common trait among highly successful people. They can adapt or change themselves to the next best opportunity. They are not emotionally stuck anywhere

Quote from: legendster
unless they can introduce some game changing upgrades

Monero infact is not an upgrade, heck not an alternative even.

Its a complement to the public ledger called blockchain. Its the anonymous system for the well needed stealth transactions. Its not based on bitcoin codebase, its coded from scratch. Uses a different protocol, the cryptonote protocol.

Is it CPU/GPU minable or PoS ?
1189  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.info - Bitcoin Block explorer & Currency Statistics on: February 28, 2015, 10:11:20 AM
For anyone with bitcoins in your wallet at blockchain.info.

Just use this to send bitcoins out since you can still generate TXs through blockchain.info:

Please use this to push your TX through to the network: https://btc.blockr.io/tx/push

Find your TX in hex format by adding "?format=hex" to the end of the blockchain.info TX url.

Then paste that number into: https://btc.blockr.io/tx/push and click 'push immediately'!

I think, those who have downloaded their paper wallet from blockchain.info has nothing to worry.

I'd suggest keeping odds of winning in your advertising, similar to odds provided by the lottery. You don't have to promise the return percentage (except the max) but letting people know there's a realistic chance of winning will earn you business...seriously.

I would play, but 190% return is scary. That's not safe for gamblers, because of how highly unsustainable it is. Try 120-130% this is a much more sustainable and allows you to last longer.

Thanks to all of you for the constructive suggestion. I have re-coded and re-launched the game. Hope, you'll like it this time. Fee free to report, if you find any bug.

So, what's new in current running version ? have you changed the whole rule of the game and also the max return of investment ?

Rules are now simple and straight forward. It is now working as a legacy Ponzi, i.e. loss is distributed among multiple investors unlike the single person loss in the previous version. People may invest whatever they want, i.e. system wont force anything onto them. There is no max return cap though.

i dont get this, how do you mean by distributing loss among multiple investor?will the losing investor is choosen randomly?

Oops... NO ! That statement was given in comparison to our previous rule where only the last investor was losing. Now, the losing invetors will be the group of last investors whose investment is not covered by other investors. There is no randomness in chosing the losing ones.

I would suggest the minimum amount to deposit at 0.01 BTC from next round. 0.0005 BTC is too low to play a Ponzi Game.
1192  Economy / Gambling / Re: SwCpoker.eu | No Banking, Only Bitcoin | Bitcoin Poker 2.0 Coming Soon on: February 25, 2015, 05:40:15 PM
Can't wait for this. No more Mavens bullshit I actually might play poker again.

What was the problem with Mavens ?
1193  Economy / Services / Re: BitDice.me - Signature Campaign! [STARTED][ESCROWED] on: February 23, 2015, 06:54:56 PM
This is confusing. I posted and PMed for signing up, never got any reply and now find my name included but crossed off.

You weren't paid in the last PayDay 03.02 because you had only 2 posts. You also haven't replied in the 24h window when I ask about continuing, those was not included in the current period. Also I rarely reply in PM, use this thread instead.

galbros, bf4btc I've updated your addies Smiley

Now regarding campaign.

1. Josepht didn't get enough posts, thus will not be paid.
2. sir.humus has almost 0 constructive posts. Replying in DirectBet thread with single line is not a constructive posts. Sad, I've not checked early, since this campaign you are disqualified.

Payment transaction: ae5b754fe9cd8a289510c3ce22ef3a8f8337468cbef6fc3376e20f3f966ea3fe

Again 24h to re apply, also I've few spots, so new blood can join Smiley

PS: I'm trying to find someone who can manage it, but that's hard. peligro haven't replied me on pm where I asked his email to add in to the sheet, thus I've decided he's not interested, Mitchell declined. However I might find someone soon, I really try.

Regards,
Alex

1195  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: CrazyPonzi.com - 190% Instant Return - Only one player will lose in each round on: February 17, 2015, 04:31:24 PM
In next 3 hours it will probably be confirmed that I am going to lose 0.00722BTC. No big deal for me... but I have some suggestions...

What I Like about CrazyPonzi.com: Unique mobile friendly design

What I Dislike about CrazyPonzi.com: 190% return. Even another guy mentioned it.

I like your game concept, but in order to keep the ball rolling, the last person should get a reward instead of just being a loser, also the return must be kept low, 110% - 150% is enough

A little suggestion: Change the way it works. Keep the design. Make it like normal Ponzi Games, where no. of people share the loss rather than only the last player and total period of time is fixed. You might also like to make this site more interesting by adding chat. Players might like to chat among themselves.

...relaunch. There is some real scarcity in unique trustworthy Ponzi Games. If you can meet this void, you'll make enough from incentive and wont need to run away with the money.

This is indeed a great piece of suggestion. Would like to know if anyone else have any other suggestion to improve the game...

The main point of any bitcoin business is trust. You need to build trust to handle customer's money. Whether it is gambling or an exchange.
1196  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is btc-flow.com a Ponzi business ? on: February 16, 2015, 09:19:22 PM
The website seems to be down on my side of earth, unable to reach server ! Smiley

The ponzi ended !

It is working fine at my end. I'm confused why people are investing in a faucet ? Faucets are supposed to pay for free... no ?

1198  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Satoshi Nakamoto be world's first trillionaire ? on: February 16, 2015, 06:17:00 PM
In short no he will not be, because there are already a few trillionaires, rothschild to name 1 i doubt they hae the est 500 trillion but they sure have trillions.

Bitcoin has been dropping ever since the bubble and unfortunately it is going to continue  Sad

Think the only reason it ever got to fairy good money was because of gox nothing else, we ladys and gentleman are on a sinking ship.

This is where you shoot the messenger  Smiley

Restrict your imagination somewhere. Total world wealth is around 250 trillion. Please do understand that trillion is a VERY BIG NUMBER. 1 trillion = 1000,000,000,000
1199  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Expert Input Only: How Is A Cold Wallet Bter Exchange Hack Possible? on: February 15, 2015, 11:21:31 PM
Hacking a properly created cold wallet is impossible however it may not have been a properly created cold wallet
a) the wallet may have been created using compromised software (given how long the wallet has existed this is unlikely)
b) the randomly generated keys in the wallet may have had poor entropy (also unlikely)
c) the wallet was compromised due to poor signing with repeat k values (unlikely but can be verified from transaction history)
d) despite the company calling it a 'cold wallet' is wasn't a cold wallet* at all and was compromised just as any other hot wallet would be
e) someone (most likely an employee) with physical access to the cold wallet data file stole the coins

* A 'cold wallet' would be a private key or keys created by an offline machine and the private keys are never used on a machine that is or has been connected to the internet.  Signing of transactions should be done offline as well.  If you create a 'cold wallet' and then move it to a computer which is connected to the internet then it is no longer a cold wallet.

How does the creator of a cold wallet will know that his generated keys are not of poor entropy ?
