1222  Local / India / Re: Worst exchange igot.com (Liars) on: January 30, 2015, 09:59:48 AM
More bad reports regarding iGot are coming in...

Hi, i created my account on igot 12 days ago. I did steps for level 2 verification. 2 days ago i deposited by online banking $5000 in my igot account. Everything went well until i bought 8 bitcoins with igot credit and then wanted to withdrawal the bitcoins in another wallet because i don't want to keep the bitcoins with them. After 8 hours i still didn't got my bitcoins and i opened a ticket. After another 5 hours i get a message from this "Julie" who said that we need to setup a video call in order to withdrawal my bitcoins. What should i do ? because i don't want to make any video call, they didn't said nothing about a video call or something else when i sign up with them. Cheers

1224  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CoinBase - Not licensed on: January 28, 2015, 09:47:03 PM
Ca and NY stated that the new Coinbase exchange is not yet licensed.
They still could be a fully legal, licensed money transmitter for their already established services.

LocalBitcoins, BitQuick.co etc operate across the globe. Do they have any license ?
1225  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My BTC address on blockchain is going insane, why ? on: January 28, 2015, 06:54:55 PM
It's more like of "Hijacking" of the address.

Lets take a look here

Did not you make this transaction ?

https://blockchain.info/tx/64593d16c00aa04f82f527de11d6df7afd47c151c1c504a11797b5cdc4b410ca

Has this 0.668 BTC been stolen from you or you intentionally sent it ?

I did the 0.2164 part only.

Then 1HeXTiyw6MHpGj2NQRdi3aitgdo5zonmHZ is also your address maintained by your bitcoin core wallet. This is called change. As long as your total balance is intact, nothing to worry...
1226  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Sent 20 BTC by mistake. Please help. on: January 28, 2015, 06:40:08 PM
Last night I have sent out 20 BTC by mistake. How do I revert/cancel the transaction ?

wow very lucky having such address, why is that?

Read the whole thread. OP tried to buy some giga hash and bought tera hash instead because he was drunk. He did not send it to wrong address. He purchased higher quantity.

1230  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Online shop that accept bitcoin?? on: January 28, 2015, 03:34:11 PM

They are. In fact these are the market leaders bitcoin or not.

Looks like everyone is showing USD equivalent of Bitcoin and none is Bitcoin only, i.e. Bitcoin price of a product is fluctuating every day. How they handle it when price fluctuates at the time of delivery of the product ? As I understand, payment remains at the platform as long as the product reaches the buyer.

Make it 2fa and give one key to escrow  Roll Eyes

Does not Ponzi games make regular payment ? If yes, then escrow might be an obstacle to that...
1236  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: How can we create a provably fair Ponzi Game ? on: January 26, 2015, 05:41:29 PM
Here's a trusted ponzi:

- Declare your own funds and hand them over to a trusted escrow for insurance (For example 10BTC)
- When unpaid deposits reach the insurance amount (10 BTC), you freeze the current round and pay all unpaid deposits with escrowed BTC
- Start new round with fresh deposits

You only make money from fees

This seems like a nice idea too. AS long as you don't get any big deposits in a small time frame,  the 10 BTC don't have to be refunded and can continue with further rounds, as long as 10 BTC is never in the wallet.
But, a drawback would be, that ponzis continue for over 48 hours at time. The escrow will have to monitor the address all the time, which would not be easy to manage.

Or some system could be hard-coded in ponzi site that will automatically freeze the round when the insurance amount is met with unpaid deposits.

I doubt whether people will be interested in a Ponzi with escrowed cut-off, though I'm not sure whether any of the Ponzi games have been able to raise 10 BTC at one round.
1237  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: In which language top gambling sites are coded ? on: January 26, 2015, 03:18:00 PM
Most websites that are interactived these days are written in js. Long time ago it was probably php but much has changed in the language.

PHP is a server side language, whereas JS is a client side one. One has nothing to do with the other.

Here is a sordid tale.   https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=930008.0

It is the people that are a problem.   I don't think the game has anything to do with the problem, it is the people.

I think any of the gambling site operators may cheat like this. In fact, it happened before in case of dice.ninja.
1240  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Coinbase be Americas Major Exchange? on: January 26, 2015, 09:57:41 AM
With their new funding of 31 million, will Coinbase become the United States Major exchange? Will this start a frenzy among Americans to join the bitcoin craze? How will it effect the speculated value of bitcoin? Will other exchanges emerge and compete? Will more day traders emerge and push up the trading volume? Can this benefit the legitimization of bitcoin? All these questions are swimming through my mind Roll Eyes

Do not forget Circle. I think, the turnaround time is lower for them than coinbase.
