Kelsey, that is a big problem with GoldCoin, where people are being extremely cheap, when in fact, they ought to be spreading those GoldCoins around more.
Are you deaf? Can't you read Kelsey?
I have said more than once already, that I charge 1000 GoldCoins for one link at DigitalGoldCoin.com
Well you have avoided a pretty easy and clear question. OK then do I have to word it another way; who requested you put goldcoin links on your webpage?

Anything is possible, please share your idea I'd be laughed at it now but I predict in all honesty that ltc will overtake btc (btw I am no fan of ltc), however neither will ever see $1000.

The more that bitcoin goes up, the more likely it is that money will spill over into the 'alt-coins', thereby increasing the chances of more of these coins.
All of the coins are just copy and paste versions of bitcoin with some parameters altered or changed, and there are people trying to magnify that one parameter changed makes a coin better than the parameter changes of another coin.
If Bitcoin is being successful, then all of the coins are replicas of bitcoin, and all of them have a chance at being successful as well.
If bitcoin goes to $1000, then I think that more people will look for cheaper alternatives to invest into.
Why? Why will people look for cheaper alternatives? Bitcoin is divisible to 8 decimal places meaning people can still invest even if they've only got $50. There's no need to go to altcoins. If 1 bitcoin costs $1000 and Bob wants to invest $50, he just buys 0.05 bitcoins. When the bitcoin price doubles to $2000 four years later, Bob's bitcoin are now (theoretically) worth $100. The more people see bitcoin success story, the less they will want altcoins. yeah btc fanbois keep telling this to themselves, but the rest of the world doesn't really want to deal in fractions of btc, and higher btc gets the more dangerous it is to use as a currency (huge swings create too much currency risk, and lets not goto oh but xyz 3rd party site etc solves this). bitcion success story to most people is purely as a trade tool and the higher it is vs USD the greater its percieved success, yet its next to useless for its original intended purpose. guess alot of the anti alts crowd haven't actually used alts, cause after using a few alts, btc feels like a painful dinosaur to use.

according to exponential growth I have no doubt its heading to 1000 within a year,
at that point which alts do you think would survive aka not worth like 1/10 value of the current price.
you have no doubt? damn ur confident...then sell ur house lol but anyhow to the question, any alts we keep alive will survive. obviously many of the lastest round of make to mine will die.

What I told you, was that I charge 1000 GoldCoins for ONE link per month on the home page at digitalgoldcoin.com
GoldCoin has more than one link, so GoldCoin owes me more than that.
I have only received 1330 GoldCoins
Therefore I may have to remove the goldcoin links off of my site.
Who in goldcoin agreed to pay you 1000 for a link? and who actually paid you 1330?

I don't see extremecoin.
Also, please don't list any more coins, unless the coin really has good support....
I am thinking the market has past reached the saturation point for altcoins.
Being listed on the exchange should give value added and developers some incentive to maintain these coins, but at some point with too many coins, that value added gets diluted.
Why not just refuse to list any coin that has not been released for more than five months and shown developer and community support ? It would stop some of the pump amd dumps... +1 yes stop adding 'new' coins, if anything only add established coins.

I support this idea. But I can't help but look at the first post and think "man, cryptsy has waay too many coins".
I have gone down the root of trying to getting more restrictions on what coins are added and was told that they will add coins the community wants and its not there job to tell people what's good or bad I have tried getting them to have a junk coin removal policy and that never worked out so informing people about the coins is the next best option +1

All Bitcoin derived altcoins are dead ducks. Litecoiners (bagholders) still believe there are some mystery buyers on gox who will pay upwards of $5 for their rubbish, let's not even go into the others. No doubt, they were a good money spinner but Bitcoin is where the growth has occurred and where it will continue to occur. Altcoins in 2013 were nothing more than an opportunity to get some easy bitcoins, nothing more, nothing less. Remember, there are always some people who hold things all the way to the bottom in complete and utter denial.
actually its bitcoin thats a dead man working. pow was only ever meant to be a temp solution and was never meant to be gamed like it is currently being...............be very interesting show when the dif hits the mark but u guys bought into an anon idealist (and paranoid nutjob too boot)....and think there is no risk lol

And you of all people are no stranger to supporting your coin while bashing others. Just look at your post history. So don't be a hypocrite. but no one in this thread apart from you is making claims of being "unbiased", which in your case is an effort to con those who don't know who you are into believing your self serving opinion is an honest unbiased independent review.......furthering your reputation as a scamartist.

|

Also I can hardly believe a famous scamcoin maker now becomes "unbias" alt coin commentator.
so much bias there I wont give the site the benfit of another click. u can bet he talks such crap just to get attention.

I myself have no interest in this coin (think I have a grand total of 7 and no desire for more or even to run the client again), and personally I feel btt has full right to ban all alts.
However if you allow alts don't be inconsistant in picking and chosing at a whim. Also seriously I don't think things should be banned purely to protect idiots.
If its for the naming, btc is opensource and p2p, let people use whatever part of it they wish (whether that be code or the name) and let the people/or market decide if its acceptible. If its not acceptible it'll die without btt forums help.

Now that the official reason of BTC-Scrypt being banned for over writing Bitcoin-SHA256 wallets has been debunked can we at least switch the reason to banning based on similar name and brand confusion?
Bitcoin Scrypt will not over write or destroy any Bitcoin SHA256 wallet even without switching directories. I have tested this on Windows XP, Win 7, Win 8 and Linux.
It would definitely lend a lot more credibility for the latter reasons.

Think you're forgetting the forum rule; 'never let the facts get in the way of a good story'.

I can see both sides of this argument/discussion, and both are idiotic.
The 'solution' looks lifted from another source and poorly implemented here. The knockers seem to think its claiming to be the answer to all attacks yet it isn't.
Concern is with such a system (and I've seen and tested similar in a different situation), banning legit peers by accident or as a centralised form of control on purpose, or by malace.

bitcoin is a speculative tool, alot of the world still hasn't heard of it (or cares) so any publicity its good. and yeah more people use USD for criminal activity then btc.

Fuck off and go peddle your everyone is a scammer bullshit somewhere else !!!!!!!
Firstly if it where true....which it is not ...does not then make it ok or acceptable to turn a blind eye or dismiss it as law of the jungle type of deal
i think u misunderstand, i certainly dont think any scaming is justified or should turn a blind eye to, very much the opposite. just funny the amount of scamers calling other scamers out. You better start to learn the english language as It was fairly plain and clear your meaning... Now here you go again by inference implying that "I am a scammer" thats pretty awesome ...or was this another of your honest mistakes If it is not me who is this in reference to may I ask ? tbh other then your post to this thread I have no idea or care wtf you are, so stop being so paranoid. if I wanted your opinion I'd troll it out of you.

|
|
saw this thread and wondered where to start?
Glad its not turned into a delist coins you troll/dislike thread, but yeah coins with no support from a dev team are just a waste of space.
Math's well thought out post just above is a good start.

well my shit don't sync

Yeah. You gave a shitload of GLD away for basically free, which was promptly dumped for profit onto bagholders.
Great launch guys. Truly.
Well as one of them 'bagholders' I was more then happy to acquire them I have to say out of all the alts, gld does give more away (to spread the coin) then pretty much any alt, and thats a good thing, love them or hate them (and as much as you continue to throw mud at them) microguys current team behind gldcoin have proven pretty much by now they are in for the long haul not a quick pump n dump profit.
